Didn't transfer right

I am using windows 7 and I just downloaded the latest itunes.
Yesterday, hooked up my iPad to USB, opened iTunes and tried to transfer purchases from iPad but it didn't work right, just a few purchases were transferred to pc. All I saw was like 6 songs so I ran it again, nothing happened. Like a dummy I then synced it (in my defense I thought that was normal). I lost most of an album and like 5 other songs. Five of them did get over to my pc, don't see why that happened, Why did that happen?
Evidently, I dont know how to sync, so could you give me instructions on how to sync. I repurchased that album and wanna back it up to my pc, before I try could someone explain how to do that too.

First, without thte ipad hooked up, launch itunes and go to: Edit, Preferences, Devices, "Prevent idevices from syncing automatically.
2) hook up the ipad and on itunes, select File, Transfer purchases from ipad.
3) Review all the tabs across the top-middle of itunes and verify that all desired toggles are properly selected for what you want to sync.
4) If you are syncing photos, make sure you have designated a sync folder source for the photos.
5) When everything is the way you want, click "SYNC".

I'm having the same problem, some of my songs will transfer but not all of them. It seems there are alot of people having this problem and apparently Apple doesn't know how to fix it. All my songs were purchased through itunes so they all should upload to any apple device. Sorry I'm not any help, maybe Apple can finally do something about it.

It sounds like there's something amiss with either your ID or the new system you're using. I've been using iTM on a Win7 and OSX SL system and have been able to upload and download to the Cloud on both. I've been using them interchangeably for the last week or so.
I would also recommennd giving Apple support a call, to see what they say.

Hi there! Just bought a new compute and set up the home sharing between the two computers. I see all of the songs but the playlists didn't transfer. I tried going to file, library, import playlist like another post said but it wants me to find the file on my computer. I have no idea how to get the file from one computer to the other so is there an easy way of moving the playlists without copying files from the other one?

First on the original computer, find your "iTunes Music Library.xml" file. See the following document for instructions on where to find it (note that it's the .xml file you're looking for):
iTunes: What are the iTunes library files?
Transfer a copy of that file across to the new computer. (Via email or thumb drive, etc.)
Launch iTunes on the new PC and import the iTunes Music Library.xml file from the old PC. To do that on iTunes for Windows, you go "File > Library > Import Playlist" as per the following screenshot:
Browse to the location of the iTunes Music Library.xml file from the other computer, select it and then open it.

Do you still have access to the old MacBook Pro? If so, you can transfer the license by copying the com.apple.iwork.plist from Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences to the same location on the new Mac. Note that this IS the main HD Library, not your user library. I have found that these files are not moved during setup or migration.
Are you really running Tiger 10.4.7? If so, you should update to 10.4.11. You can find the updater here. You also might consider buying the retail disk of iWork '09 from a third-party such as Amazon.com or eBay. It will add a lot of features for you. iWork '09 does require Tiger 10.4.11 at a minimum.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

Photos didn't transfer with the new/reply email - how to recover them?

Was sent these fabulous photos and when my co-worker replied to him, the photos didn't transfer with the new/reply email, unfortunately she deleted the original email. I found this info instead of the attached photos - any idea how I can open these or get back the photos without asking him to resend?

I upgraded my verizon 4g phone to ios 5 on Thursday. Everything seemed to transfer ok however of my three yahoo accounts, the primary one's password didn't transfer. I went to settings, mail, selected the email address and input the password however it won't take it and gives me the following error "Server Unavailable Please try again later". I have attempted to try again, no good. I have attempted to restore the phone, even worse, then none of the three email accounts (all yahoo) will take the password. As it is the other two accounts currently work on the phone as the phone is after upgrading. Please help!

Yes, someone posted a bypass and it works! Go to settings > mail, contacts, calendars > Add Account > select "OTHER" > add mail account > follow prompts > (IMAP) for incoming mail server host name input imap.mail.yahoo.com, user name and password > for outgoing mail server input smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
I contacted Apple. They are aware of the problem. Apparently the ios5 is having issues with yahoo mail. It has nothing to do with waiting etc... I updated my software on Thursday and have continually been attempting to go through yahoo but it won't work. The Apple technician I spoke to assured me they were working on it and to check with updates regularly to see if they have resolved the problem. Hope this is helpful.

i have movies purchased from iTunes and movies converted from youtube and movies converted from other sources. i managed to get somemusic ripped youtube video movies downloaded. but now when i try to change the selection and include other movies including the ones purchased. nothing happens. i select them from the movie list then sync. the update and sync starts then it checks the apps purchased, then it just stops. no errors and no update of movies. it still has the movies i downloaded from months ago. i cant seem to change them at all. even when i select remove all movies. they remain there.
im confused.

Video file didn't transfer

I transferred photos & videos via USB on Friday but one of the videos didn't transfer. The video was 7+ minutes long so I'm assuming it was too large? The problem is I always automatically delete from my phone once transferred :-(
There are also files I see that it said couldn't transfer so possibly 1 of them could be the video?

Adobe Flashplayer didn't download right on my Mac computer

To Whom It May Concern, For some reason the last couple of Adobe Flashplayer's for my Mac computer didn't download right for some reason. The first 2 that didn't download right didn't seem to bother anything on my computer but the lastest one has messed up a couple of games on my Facebook page and youtube videos won't work on my Facebook page now. I got some kind of message that the Adobe Flashplayer had gone as far as it could on my compuer. What do I do now? I want things to work right on my computer. I know pretty much nothing about things like this so I need step by step help.
