  • Diferences between Business Delegate and Session Facade

Hi, I've been programming with java for a long time now, but recently decided to formally studing the J2EE patterns. By now I have the intuition of many of them but in paper looks a little confusing. Let me ask you what is a clear diference between Business Delegate and Session Facade.
For me, exposing interfaces, hiding implementations and masking the complex interactions in the back are common factors in these patterns, could you please help me to identify diferences?

There are more subtle differences, but the basic gyst is that the Business Delegate is used on the client/presentation tier. The Session Facade is used on the server/service tier. The Business Delegate typically performs a lookup of the SessionFacade which in turn fronts a service method (EJB or otherwise). The Business Delegate pattern is typically associated with J2EE remoting and its shortcomings.

  • Diferences between BEA Framework and Beehive

    Hi,
Anyone can tell me what are the main diferences, in terms of functionalities, between BEA Framework and Beehive?
    Thanks,
    rjc

You'd probably have to be a little more specific to get a better answer, but I can try to provide some information.
I don't know what you mean by the "BEA framework". That could mean lots of things. Beehive is a framework for building web applications. It requires JDK 5. In WLS 9 and Workshop 9, Beehive is part of the "BEA framework". In WLS 8.1, Workshop applications use the NetUI framework, the functionality of which has been subsumed into Beehive.

    I'm really lost.
Can someone exaplain what's the diference between those two?
and do I can conect to my iMac?
also any full explanation of what a Mac Pro is would be really helpful.

Most of the time working with heavy 3D and Videos.
I wanted to buy other 4GB Ram, and a Quadro 4000 (but its for Mac pro).
My idea was (or still is) to buy a Mac Pro and expand my iMac capacity (processors, Ram, etc, but no one has answered me if i can do that), or else I was thinking if I can buy the Mac Pro and transfer my iMac stuff to it, then use the iMac monitor as a display of the Mac pro just while the iMac sells and then just buy a monitor (but again, no one has answered me if I can do that too)
    Please solve my questions

  • Diference Between Web Intelligence and Web Intelligence Rich Client?

    Hey Guys,
Do you know the difference between Web Intelligence and Web Intelligence Rich Client?
I was asked about that but i couldnt help. And i need to make a decision about a Web Intelligence training. I need to decide using one or another.
    Thanks
    Vegas

    Hi Vegas,
The Webintelligence Rich Client (WRC) has all the features of the thin webintelligence client. But WRC makes use of the client processor and memory to do all post query processing while Infoview Webi sends every request to the server for processing.
Thus you won't find any difference between the time taken to retrieve data from the database between these two clients. But there would be huge difference in performance while doing further analysis, formatting  with the data. Also you will not need connectivity to the network to do analysis and formatting using the WRC client.
WRC client will help you to just retrieve the data on the fly and let you play around with it while you are traveling with no network connectivity.

  • Diference between Service tax and GTA service tax

    Hi,
Kindly tell me what is the difference between service tax and GTA service tax and their accounting entries in SAP ?
    With Regards,
    Samrat

    Hi,
Service Tax is charged by the service vendor and you pay the service tax to the vendor along with his payment. Once you pay the service tax, it is the liability of the vendor to pay the service tax amount collected from you to the Government.
GTA is Goods Transport Authority. When you receive any service from any transport vendor, he will not charge service tax from you though it attracts service tax. It is your liability to pay the service tax to Government for the services received from the transport vendor.
In case of normal service tax it is treated as input tax and credit for the same is taken (similar to excise). But, in case of GTA you have to create the liability at the time of receiving the service and make the payment directly to the Government.

  • Diference between Airport Express and Extreme

What may I ask, is the difference between the Airport Extreme and the Airport Express? And why is there a price difference between them. And would I be able to use it for surfing the web and print wirelessly on my Macbook? Which would be worth it for me, Because I'm sorta on a tight budget...

    Hi SMLaracy:
The AE offers Wireless access and/or Airtunes and/or a USB printer port and WDS with a compatable WDS basestation.

  • Difference between viewer 39108 and 41139

Adobe, please, let us know what's difference between these two version of viewers, which bugs are now fixed in later version. We do need to know if we need to create new custom viewers or if we can live with previous one.
    Thanks, Martin

The updated viewer includes several MSO bug fixes that were reported soon after the v18 tools were released. These bugs include the failure to stop at the last state even when "Stop at last image" is selected as well as MSO auto start and timing issues. This updated viewer now has identical functionality to the v18 viewers you can create using the Viewer Builder.

  • Mapping between view controller and component controller

    Hi Experts,
I am new to web dynpro ABAP. First I created an application using one input field and one button, my view name is V1. In view context, I created one node viz. NODE1 using table SFLIGHT, fields chosen are CARRID CONNID and FLDATE. I have bind that to my input field and for button I have not done any thing. So, when I am running this application it is allowing me to select value for my input field. After this, I have added a table to the view layout. I have added to nodes using sflight table in COMPONENT CONTROLLER. First node is SFLIGHT with CARRID, CONNID, FLDATE, PRICE and PLANETYPE and second node is NODE1(same name) with only CARRID. Now in VIEW CONTEXT it is showing -
    CONTEXT
       NODE1
         CARRID
         CONNID
         FLDATE
(which I had created in VIEW CONTEXT for input field)
    CONTEXT COMPONENT CONTROLLER
       SFLIGHT
         CARRID
         CONNID
         FLDATE
         PRICE
         PLANETYPE
       NODE1
         CARRID
(which I had created in component controller after adding table)
Now both this context should be matched as per my knowledge, so that when I bind the table it should V1.SFLIGHT.<fieldname> and not as V1.NODE1.<fieldname>
But I don't know how to match them. Please help.

    Hi Sambaran,
I guess I understood what you want.
To achieve this, proceed as follows:
1)Open your View, goto Properties tab. Here in the Used controller table, click on the create icon to include the component controller (component controller is added by default by the framework, if you use custom controller you need to define this usage).
2)Once you do this, goto Context tab of the view, here now you will be able to see the component controller on the right hand side.
3)Next, drag the SFLIGHT node from the component controller, and drop it on the Context (root context) of the view (left side). Doing this system will create a mapped context node on the view which you will use to bind to the view elements on the layout.
The above steps apply if you want to directly create a view context from component controller context.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks,
    Chitrali

  • Difference between View Creiterias and Where Condition when defining a VO

    Hi Friends,
I am trying to understand the difference between specifying Where clause conditions in the View Criteria or directly in the VO Query.
both meet the same requirement in executing the Query with the Where Conditions. Is there ay specific diff.?
    Thanks,
    User

    Hi Rade
There are many ways to optimize the performance of your querys or VO, the most importantly is thing is not to make full scans of your table, always use the explain plain testing the query execution, filter using the indexs atributes, VO editor have a tuning SQL execution in the query optimizer hint you can use FIRST_ROWS for example.
More information to tuning your query check this link [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/text.111/b28303/aoptim.htm#i1006353]

  • What is  a diference between Apple TV and Elegato

Does ATV work without comp on and no wifi  router on?

The ATV can work without the computer being on but has no Internal storage so is virtually useless without a computer or iOS device to stream content to it or Internet access.
The same would hold true for any other media streaming device.

  • Performance Diference between debug mode and release mode

    Hi ,
I have been running an C++ multithreaded application with below technical specification on Production for more than an year.
    OS - Solaris 10 , Opteron
    Compiler - Sun Studio 11
    Bit Mode - 64
I wanted to know what is the difference in the debug mode of an C++ application compiled with -g option and a release mode compiled with an optimization apart from the size of the binary and availability of debug information in case of a crash.
    1) Does it degrade the performance of the application? If yes by what extent?
    2) Does it use more memory?
    3) Will switching from Debug to Release mode with some optimization coupled with any kind of risk like byte guard etc which could lead to dumps and all? If yes what could those be?
    4) Which optimization level should be used?
    Regards,
    Ankur Verma

If you compile without any optimization (with or without -g), you will see a noticeable difference in performance in most programs compared to compiling with a reasonable level of optimization. How much difference depends on the nature of the program, and what percentage of time is spent in code regions that can benefit from the code improvements.
If you add -g, function inlining is disabled, which can dramatically reduce program performance. You can't debug a function that is generated inline, which is why this option disables inlining. (The +d option also disables inlining.)
If you use -g0 instead of -g, function inlining is preserved.
If you use -g0 with optimization, you get the advantages of optimization while still allowing limited debugging. (Local variables are not visible.) Beginning with Sun Studio 12 update 1, the current release, -g with optimization enables function inlining, so the effect of (for example) "-O -g" becomes the same as "-O -g0".
A few optimizations are disabled with -g or -g0, the exact difference depending on the compiler release and patch level. Most programs won't see a difference in performance.
Since you are running on Solaris 10, you should upgrade to the current release, Sun Studio 12 update 1. You will get many improvements and some new diagnostic tools. The new release is a drop-in replacement for Studio 11. You don't have to recompile any existing binaries, but you will want to recompile to get improved performance.
