What is the difference between apple care protection plan and apple care
What is the difference between apple care protection plan and apple care +
apple care protection plan
That is the extended warranty (total of 3 years including the standard warranty for the first year) for any Mac computer.
apple care +
That is the extended warranty (total of 2 years including the standard warranty for the first year) for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone, etc).
For either, the standard warranty is usually referred to as hardware warranty (not Applecare); see an example for the warranty for an iMac:

whereas the extended Applecare is referred to as that:

Difference between S_PROGRAM and S_DEVELOP!!
Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me the difference between S_PROGRAM and S_DEVELOP..??
I think both are used to protect the access to the ABAP programs..Then how it's different from each other?
Thanks in advance,
RamHello Ramkumar,
S_PROGRAM authorization object is used as mentioned, to protect execution of the program:
For example ig you have a program called "ZPROGRAM" and you want to secure the program such that only a select few people can execute it, you need to assign an "authorization group" (dont confuse this with the authorization group value used in S_TABU_DIS).
To assign the authorization group to the prgram go to transaction SE38 type in the progrm name and click on edit
(Please note that you need a DEVELOPER key to edit the program)
Then once you the program is displayed use the menu option:
GOTO--> attributes
One of the field displayed here is "authorization group". You have to assign the authotization group here (the field name is SECU) (these authorization group values are stored in table TPGP).
But as suggested by Julius RSCSAUTH is a better option especially since Security guys wont have access to developer keys.
Once this is done, the authorization group has to be assigned in the object S_PROGRAM in an authorization role.
Only if the role containing this object (with the appropriate value) is assigned to the user, he will be able to execute that program.
S_DEVELOP is used to create / modify / change programs (and their attributes). This authorization is only necessary for ABAP developers / prgrammers and you should avoid assigning this to anyone else.
Hope this helps.

What's the differences between rsp4 and rsp4+
I want to know the differences between rsp4 and rsp4+
According to the included URL, there is not a big deal of difference between the two devices. Here's a quote:
The RSP4+ is an enhanced version of the RSP4 with larger default program memory (64 MB), Error Correction Code (ECC) memory protection, and compatibility with Cisco IOS® Software releases that support the current RSP4. This additional functionality is included with no increase in price, further enhancing the value of Cisco 7500 Series routers.

What is the difference between #variable_name and :variable_name?
Hi!
What is the difference between #variable_name and :variable_name?
I have found that if we use alphanumeric variable then :variable_name return value in quotes but #variable_name without quotes.
Why it does not work in the same way for variable default values when variable is used in filter? (It works in mapping)
I use variable in filter like T.OUT_DATE>convert(datetime,:LAST_UPDATE_DATE,121)
When I use my variable in package and do refresh it works fine. But when I try to execute the same interface with variable default value I get error. Seems that variable name has been not changed to the value. It does not work with default value in quotes neither without quotes.
Any ideas how to solve that?
Thank you in advance!
Edited by: user13278245 on Sep 15, 2010 4:34 AMQuestion is how to make it work with default value, when I execute interface standalone, not in package? And why it works in mapping but not in filter?
+ I have found that it works if source is Oracle. It doesn't work only for MS SQL source.

Difference between -1 and null in the targettype filed
Hi
Could anyone advise what is the difference between -1 and null in the targettype filed in marketing documents?
For example, in Sales Quotation - Rows (QUT1) table, I found for some open sales quotations, the field is null however the DB help file suggest the default value is -1 so I suppose it should be -1 for open documents.
Many thanks for your advisory.Hi, Qian!
I investigated that "-1" value appears in targettype field in Sales Quotation Rows (QUT1 table) when you Dublicate a Sales Quotation document (Ctrl + D). And NULL value appears when you create a new document without dublicating.
In case you want to equal these 2 "empty"-values using T-SQL, you can use ISNULL(targettype, -1) function - this will give you -1 for both the "empty"-values

Hi,
I've made a silent Office 2013 installer with /admin and put SP1 MSP's in the updates folder.
After deployment under installed updates it shows: Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2817430) 32-Bit Edition
But when I check for new updates, "ServicePack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2850036) 32-Bit Edition" is ready for download and install.
What is the difference between KB2817430 and KB2850036?
It seems that I cannot download KB2850036 and also integrate it in the silent installation.
Another question: Is the updates folder from Office only for servicepacks? or can I put also updates and patches MSP files in here? If yes then i've got a lot of files with the same name and different files sizes. For example After extracting SP1 I've got
the file "proofsp-en-us.msp" which is 10MB and when extracting another patch also i've got a proof-en-us.msp and is 8MB.
So which one need to go in the updates folder?
Can anyone help me out?
thanksHi,
As can be seen from below KB articles, KB2817430 only contains Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Office 2013, whereas KB2850036 also contains Service Pack 1 (SP1) updates for other Office 2013 related desktop products. For example, Microsoft Office 2013
Language Pack, Project 2013, SharePoint Designer 2013, Office Proofing Tools 2013, etc.:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2850036
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2817430
So if you have any of these products on your computer, Windows Update might offer related updates to you.
Regarding the Updates folder issue, you can put any Office software updates in it during the initial installation, such as service packs or hotfixes. A newer patch might make changes to a specific file, you can check the version number of that file, and keep
the newer one in the folder.
Here is the reference you will need:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2011/05/05/using-the-updates-folder-to-deploy-software-updates-with-an-office-2010-installation.aspx
(Note, it was created against Office 2010, however the steps should hold good for Office 2013)

Hi All difference between abap and hr-abap urgent pls
Hi All difference between abap and hr-abap urgent pls
Hello,
To add to the above points regarding infotypes
Infotypes stand apart in HR and manage a volume of data in HR domain..they are unique to HR module ranging from basic employee information to time management and finally the custom infotypes.....
Payroll and other monetory activities related to an employee also form a vital part of the HR module....
while considering Reports..in HR data is mainly with respect to infotypes and the concept of PAKEY...7 key fields which uniquely defines any record in an infotype is used..with Pernr(employee number),Begda(begindate) and Endda(enddate) form an integral part of the key..Based on the time constraints(1,2,3) of an infotype the keys are judged (to retrieve data from an infotype)
In ABAP HR we also have lots of predefined function modules that can be used..eg:go to se37..put 'HR*' and press F4...
finally to update an HR infotype record we use the function module hr operation rather than direct updates...also there are standard audit trail reports that monitors various activities such as insert/modify/delete operations on an hr infotype record...
Pls revert back for clarity and reward if helpful

What's the difference between setFollowRedirect() and setinstanceFollowRedi
What's the difference between setFollowRedirect() and setInstanceFollowRedirect() ?????
Hi there,
setFollowRedirects and setInstanceFollowRedirects both set flags that indicate whether or not the HtppURLConnection should follow a redirect if it receives one from the server that it is connecting to. The difference is that setFollowRedirects() is a static method that changes the behaviour for all instances of the HttpURLConnection class (or more likely the implementation class, HttpURLConnection is abstract) and setInstanceFollowRedirects() just changes it for the instance on which you call it.
BTW: The field set by setFollowRedirects is private (followRedirects) while the flag set by setInstanceFollowDirects is protected and is listed in the API docs (instanceFollowRedirects)
Hope this helps

What are the differences between Oracle and other NoSQL database
Hi all,
I would like to know what the differences between Oracle and other NoSQL database are.
When and why should we use Oracle?
Is Oracle NoSQL database link with Big Data Appliance?
Can we use map-reduce on a single personal computer? How should we install Oracle NoSQL database to use map reduce on a single personal computer?
Do we also have eventual consistency with Oracle NoSQL database? Can we lose data if master node fails?
Are transactions ACID with Oracle NoSQL database? How can we prove it?

Hi all,
I would like to know what the differences between Oracle and other NoSQL database are.
When and why should we use Oracle?I suggest that you start here:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/nosqldb/overview/index.html
Is Oracle NoSQL database link with Big Data Appliance?Yes, Oracle NoSQL Database will be a component of the Big Data Appliance.
Can we use map-reduce on a single personal computer? How should we install Oracle NoSQL database to use map reduce on a single personal computer?Yes, I believe you can run M/R on a single computer. Consult the various pieces of documentation available on the web. You may run Oracle NoSQL Database on the same computer that you are running M/R on, but it is likely that they will compete for CPU and IO resources and therefore performance may suffer.
Do we also have eventual consistency with Oracle NoSQL database? Yes.
Can we lose data if master node fails? If you run Oracle NoSQL Database with the default (recommended) durability settings, then if the master fails, a new one will be elected and data is not lost.
Are transactions ACID with Oracle NoSQL database? How can we prove it?Yes, each operation is executed in an ACID transaction. The API has the concept of "multi" operations which allow the caller to perform multiple operations on sets of records with the same major key, but different minor keys. Those operations are also performed within a transaction.

Differences between mcp and mcp t sound
this is all sound sound info direct from a man at nvidia who knows
PLEASE NOTE ONLY MCP2-T BOARD MSI DO AT THE MOMMENT IS THE K7N2G-ILSR
The MCP has no hardware support for audio of any kind, period. Windows and the CPU do all the audio work on that part and there is absolutely no DSP, NVIDIA or otherwise, in that chip to help out. Try to do EAX, any kind of reverb or chorus, or a music preset on those boards and you'll see the CPU usage climb. Ditto if you add more voices to the mix: CPU usage goes up.
The MCP-T has a full hardware audio DSP, hardware acceleration for 2D and 3D streams, and Dolby Digital encode support. EQs, HRTFs, and all environmental settings are exposed and modifiable by the user. None of this is available on the soft solutions due to the heavy hit on the CPU if they were enabled.
Short of that, you can try to use the ASIO or OpenAL drivers. You'll find that neither will work on the MCP because there is no supporting hardware for them. In short, there is no way to coax an MCP to be an APU capable part, the support simply isn't in the chip
Here's the chip differences:
MCP has the following:
- ATA-133 x 2 ports
- USB 1.0/1.1/2.0 x 6 ports
- NVIDIA MAC 10/100 x 1 port
- Legacy I/O bus (PS2, Printer, Serial)
- AC 97 host based audio (no DSP)
MCP-T includes the above and adds the following:
- 3Com MAC 10/100 x 1 port
- 1394A Firewire MAC x 3 ports
- NVIDIA APU with Dolby Digtal Encoderthats not to say mcp is bad as this proves
The MCP2 is definately hardware sound. As far as the APU goes the only difference between MCP2 and MCP2-T is the T version has Soundstorm(Dolby Digital). Basically Mcp2-T =5.1 digital output capabilities Mcp2 no digital output, analogue output only. The other differences are the T version Has Dual Lan support and a firewire controller which the plain MCP2 does not. Here are my cpu utilization test results from Audio winbench proving that The MCP2 APU is a hardware APU.

What is the difference between mySAP2004 and SAP ERP 2004?
Hi,
Can anybody tell me what is the difference between mySAP2004 and SAP ERP 2004?
If someone has the document, then please mail me at [email protected]
With Regards
tiffnyHi Tiffny,
actually I don't see a difference as "mySAP2004" is not an official name for anything
There is "mySAP ERP 2004" which is the marketing name for a bunch of functionality provided by several different bits of software components.

Is there any performance difference between unique and no unique index
Hi,
We are working with both databases Oracle and MS-SQL and we have an open channel to MS-SQL server core team.
We got the word from them that there is a difference between unique and no unique index from the optimizer perspective, i.e. the optimizer knowing that the index is unique may choose a more suitable plan for running a specific query, we're still trying to find a specific example.
Anyway, since we do not have an open channel to Oracle core, I thought maybe one of you guys knows something about Oracle optimizer behavior on this issue.
I am interested verified answers from certified sources and not suggestions or thoughts.
Thanks in advanced,
