Difference between open quantity and delivery quantity

Hi all,
Please anybody explain me the difference between open quantity and delivery quantity My question is both are same in the value or different I need to report these 2 fields based on date.
open quantity is available in table vbbe
delivery quantity available in table lips.
for open quantity i have one select statement.
for delivery quantity i have another select statement.
i want to club these 2 fields into a single report.
please clarify my doubt.
regards
chandu

Hi,
Open quantity is nothing but the quantity which we have at the DAY starts.
Delivered quantity means which was delivered on that DAY.
So Opening qty - Delivered qty = Closing qty for a DAY.
Again this Closing qty will be the Opening qty for next DAY.
I think based on POSNR u need to club both the quantity in single report.
select vbeln posnr matnr omeng mbdat into itab from VBBE where....
select vbeln posnr matnr lfimg mbdat into itab1 from lips where....
loop at itab.
read table itab1 with key....
move:....to itab2.
endloop.
Thanks.
I hope this will help you.

    Hi,
If you have to deal with more complex situations, you can define a delivery cycle in the material master record in addition to the planning cycle. In so doing, you determine the days on whichthe vendor delivers his goods. The delivery cycle is entered in the material master record as a planning calendar in the Planning calendar field.
You enter a delivery cycle if the delivery date (or the goods receipt date) depends on the day on which you order the goods. For example, you carry out the planning run and place your orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you place the order on Monday, the delivery is made on Wednesday, if you wait until Tuesday to place the order, the delivery is not made until Friday
Where as Planning calander is Three character number (numeric or using letters) that specifically identifies a PPS-planning calendar. The difference between Planning calender and delivery cycle is If you have selected the MRP type "MRP" and have set a period lot-sizing procedure according to planning calendar, you enter here which planning calendar is to be used.
If you selected the "time-phased planning" MRP type, the planning calendar that you specify here defines the delivery cycle. This specifies the days on which the vendor delivers the material. You can enter the planning cycle in addition to the delivery cycle

  • Difference between Scheduling lines and Delivery schedule

    Hi SD Experts
can u say me the clear difference between Scheduling lines and Delivery schedule.
where we will maintain deliver schedule. whether delivery schedule is automatically created along scheduling agreements..
    with regards
    James

    Hi James,
Schedule Lines: Has basically information realted to delivery scheduling in Sales Order level.
Delivery Scheduling: Is a process using which system will determine what are the different activities which need to be performed and time taken for each activitiy only after which the material can be delivered to the customer.
Delievry scheduling will be started only from the material availability date i.e., system will first determine the material avail date and then do scheduling. By default Standard SAP system does Backward Scheduling in case material availability falls beyond the required delivery date system will do forward schedluing
Delivery Scheduling consists of the following Basic activities:
We give deatils while creating order:
    Order Creation Date
    Required Delivery Date
Order date - Material availability date - Transportation Planning Date - Loading date - Goods Issue Date - Required Delivery Date
Time Between GI Date and required Delivery Date is called Transit Time
Time Between LoadingDate and GI Date is called Loading time
Time Between Material Availability Date and Loading Date consists of 2 components - Pick / PackTime and Transportation Planning Time
System has to calculate all this before it determines the confirmed delivery date.
Give your mail Id I have some Presentation I will send you across.
    REWARD POINTS IF IT HELPS

  • Difference between open loop and closed loop mode when finding the index on a stepper motor axis.

I have a test system which uses a PXI-7352 motion controller with a MID-7602 stepper motor drive to position a 200 step/revolution stepper motor with an attached 1000 line encoder.  The MID-7602 is configured for 64 microsteps per step, giving 12,800 microsteps and 4000 encoder counts per revolution.  The system is controlled using LabView 7.1 and NI-Motion 6.13.  To home the motor, I've defined a sequence in MAX which first finds the reverse limit switch and then moves forward to the encoder index pulse.
When finding its reference in open loop mode, the system its reference at the same microstep each time.  When findings its reference in closed loop mode, the system finds its reference somewhere within about a 20 microstep wide range.
I hope somebody out there with more experience with this controller can describe the difference between finding the encoder index in open loop mode and finding the encoder index in closed loop mode.
    Thanks,
    Mark Moss

    Hello Mark,
I suspect that the behavior you are experiencing has today
with the resolution difference between your encoder and your
microstepping.  Let me illustrate with an
    example:
    Example Setup
    Stepper
    Motor
    NI
    Motion Controller
    10
steps per encoder pulse (Every 10 steps the controller gets an encoder
pulse, therefore positions 0-9 all appear to be 0 to the controller)
    The
system has a maximum of 3 pull in moves set
    Open Loop Scenario
    The
system is commanded to go to position 9.
    The
    controller sends out 9 pulses.
    The
    motor moves to position 9.
    Closed Loop Scenario
    The
system is commanded to go to position 9.
    The
    controller sends out 9 pulses.
    The
    motor moves to position 9.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is still at position 0
because it has not received an encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 0, it sends another 9 pulses
as its first pull in move.
    The
    motor moves to position 18.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is at position 10 because
it has only received one encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 10, it sends1 reverse pulse
as its second pull in move.
    The
    motor moves to position 17.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is at position 10 because
it has only received one encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 10, it sends and additional
single reverse pulse as its third pull in move.
    The
motor moves to its final position of 16.
I believe something similar is happening with your
application as it looks for the index pulse.
Because the controller does not compensate for what it perceives as
position error in open loop mode, the motor always goes to the same commanded
position.  In closed loop mode, the motor
is bouncing around inside the single index encoder pulse trying to find a
    certain position.
There are several recommendations I can make towards
    correcting this behavior.  These
recommendations are in order of effectiveness:
    Setup
your system so that there are more encoder counts per revolution than
    steps per revolution.
    Turn
off pull-in moves by setting them to 0 in MAX.
    Use an
    open loop configuration.
    Play
around with the pull in window in MAX.
    Regards,
    Luke H

  • What is the difference between developement system and delivery system?

    Hello Experts,
I have some questions regarding publishing the content on delivery system.
    Could some one help me.
    1) Can we use Development System as Delivery System?
    2) Can we Publish a Site into Development System?
    3) How to check whether the installation done in development mode or in delivery mode? I mean do we have any procedure to check ?
    4) What are the Advantages of Delivery System over the Development System?
Note: I installed Webcenter sites11gR1 on Weblogic10.3 server and windows 7.
    Thanks in advance
    Rajendar.

    Rajendar Raj wrote:
    I got the answers.
    1) Can we use Development System as Delivery System?
    Ans:
Yes, a development system contains the same functionality as a delivery system. Conversely a delivery system doesn't have a contributor interface so it cannot be used for managing assets.
Not recommended and it also depends on the sizing of your environment and tuning. Delivery systems usually are architected with performance in mind, depending on the expected load, logs are minimal and usually Remote Satellite Servers are added. Important as well is that no content or any assets is created directly on the delivery system, you might run into unique ID constrains when you publish content from Authoring to Delivery, in your case Development.
    2) Can we Publish a Site into Development System?
    Ans:
    Yes, you can.
Be careful this is not recommended, you can run into unique id constraints issues
    3) How to check whether the installation done in development mode or in delivery mode? I mean do we have any procedure to check ?
    Ans:
Look in the ominstallinfo directory, in the location where WebCenter Sites was installed. there is a file called omii.ini that contains installation-time choices and parameters. Look for the parameter "Development"
    - true, indicates it was a Development type install. Advanced UI will be available, as will the Contributor UI
    - false, indicates it was a Delivery type install. Only Advanced UI will be available.
    4) What are the Advantages of Delivery System over the Development System?
    Ans:
A delivery type install is more secure, as the contributor UI and some other editorial components are not installed. It also prevents editors from changing content on the delivery system by mistake.
In general Delivery systems are architected different, more emphasis on performance, caching and security.

  • Difference between pick qty and delivery qty

    Hi,
My delivery qty is 5 pcs. However while making transfer order from within delivery, the Transfer order is being made automatcially for 17 pcs and so the pick qty is 17 pcs. Due to the differenc ein delivery qty and pick qty, I cannot do PGI in the delivery.
When I use LT0G, and give the delivery and warehouse no and movement type 999, the system does not allow the transaction and gives a message that, function not yet supported for Handling units. But I do not have handling units in my delivery. Neither the system allows me to cnacel the Transfer order thru LT15.
How to correct the above situation so that the TO does not pick up the qty greater than the delivery qty or what other alternatives are there. Also how to ensure that TO is made of qty which is equal to delivery qty.
Iam not aware of WM module, so kindlyu tell in detial pls.

In IMG>LE>WM>Master Data> Define storage type.
Check In stock removal control whether "Full stock removal reqmt act" is active.
If this is active it will try to pull the total quant irrespective of your requirement.

  • Difference between "base quantity" and "operation quantity" in an operation

    Hello
what is the difference between "base quantity" and "operation quantity" in a production order ?
    thank you for your answers

Base Quantity - Quantity of the material to be produced to which the standard values of the operation refer.
Operation Quantity - Quantity planned for this operation.
Base quantity and operation quantity may not always be the same, if we have partial lots delivered during the sequence of operations, the operation quantity will be equal to the lot delivered during the operation.
Base quantity is dependent on the BOM, where it signifies the total quantity of output after using the components of certain quantity.
    Hope this may help you.

  • Difference between subsequent adjustment and return delivery ...?

    Dear all ,
Provide difference between subsequent adjustment and return delivery ...?
    sri....

    Hi,
Subsequent delivery means you have to reverse the goods receipts after
entering corresponding invoice and you want to post another goods receipt
than use subsequent delivery in MIGO with reference to old goods receipt
    number.
Subsequent adjustment means updating the price difference in the quantity
    already supplied.
Ex: Original invoice price is 100 for quantity of
10 nou2019s, i.e., Invoice amount is 1000 after doing MIRO for amount
1000 you get another supplementary Invoice for amount
100 towards price revision. In this case  you have to adjust through subsequent
    adjustment.
If your question was on posting logic for alternative posting of exchange rate differences. then,
    Subsequent adjustment*
When you make a subsequent adjustment, the system posts all values with the exchange rate at the time of the goods receipt.
    Return Delivery
If there is a return delivery, the posting date is based on the time of the goods receipts. The system converts the stock value using the average exchange rate with reference to the purchase order.

    Sadiq.

  • Blends: Difference between open and closed paths modifying spine

Okay, just had a discovery today about the blend tool.
The difference between closed paths and open paths is critical when you want to modify a blend spine, such as make it curve. Between open paths, there is no spine shown when a blend is created. Ever notice this? Between closed paths, there is a spine, which can be modified, such as making it curved. Now, the trick is how to modify a spine with open paths when there is no spine shown. Found out today that starting with a closed path, segments can be deleted to make the path open, then the spine can be modified and the open path state maintained!
This is a huge bug in Illustrator and makes no sense to me. Wanting Adobe to fix this in the next major release. Hope this helps anyone struggling with this issue.

One thing you should be aware of concerning open ended splines:
It makes an enormous difference as to how the blend behaves whether the endpoints have handles or not.
Give them handles and you will find that you can alter the distribution of the blend objects just by adjusting the handles or by dragging on the spline itself.
    Give it a try.
