Difference between Smart Mailbox and Smart Mailbox Folder

What are the reason(s) for using one over the other?

I know it's a bit less than obvious, but they're not equivalent or an "either/or". A "Smart Mailbox Folder" allows you to put your Smart Mailboxes into folders for grouping purposes. For instance, you could have a Smart Mailbox that collects all your messages to and from a friend of yours named "Sam", one that collected message to and from "Frieda", etc. and collect them all in a Smart Mailbox Folder titled "Friends". It's strictly an organization thing, for your own convenience, sort of like putting playlists in folders in iTunes, if you're familiar with that. If you only have a couple of Smart Mailboxes, a Smart Mailbox Folder probably won't be of much help, but if you have a bunch of Smart Mailboxes, organizing them into folders might be useful.

    Yes - Always open up Share permissions to Everyone-Full and the ACL (apply permissions) to the actual data

    Users will all be able to access the share, but only access folders and data that you allow via the NTFS permissions (ACLs).
    The only other way is to create separate shares for each different access requirement - a pain and none too
    flexible. Also if with W2K3 you leave the default Share permission (Read), even though you grant 'Write' NTFS permissions on the data, your users won't be able to write new data or make changes if they access via the Share, as Share permissions over-ride the
    NTFS permissions.

    SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe will be used more and more as a way of simplifying and automating manual processes.
    There are various advantages of Adobe forms.
    SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe provides all the features and functions you need to create form-based output, such as order confirmations, invoices, or pay slips. You can either print such documents or send them by email or FAX.
    <b>Online Interactive Forms</b>
    A user logs on to the company intranet to fill in a form required by the HR department (for example, a Non-Disclosure Agreement to be signed by a new employee). The form is displayed in the browser.
    As the user is logged on in the background to the company's HR system, his master data is displayed in the form.     Putting the close() calls in finally block is good, but having them in individual try/catch blocks is better. That way you can still try to close the connection if closing the statement throws an exception.
    I don't bother setting them to null. GC is smart enough to know that they've gone out of scope. I don't think it helps.

    Not at all, Mark - at least not in my case. I'm sorry if it came over that way. I was just saying that there's a slew of differences between Time Capsule and Mac OS X Server - it's almost unfair to put them in the same bucket.
    Yes, Mac OS X Server can act as a backup destination for Time Machine clients, but it can also do a lot more than that. To be fair, it wasn't clear from the original post whether the focus was on backups alone (in which case the two are reasonably similar), but my point was that Mac OS X Server is a whole different animal. It's like comparing a Smart Car and an RV - both will get you from point A to point B, but the RV has bathroom, shower, beds, satellite TV, a kitchen, etc.

  • Siri cannot tell difference between Apple playlist and Apple Station

    I have smart playlist with older but unplayed episodes from several Apple podcasts that I called "Apple", I also have an Apple Podcast station with those same Podcasts but only the latest ones, as I cannot get the Podcast station to pick up the older episodes that I'm catching up on.
    When I says "play Apple Station" or "Play Apple Playlist", it plays the Apple station, so I cannot get it to play the Apple Smart Playlist.
    Besides renaming my playlist or station to something non-descriptive, is there a way to make Siri tell the difference between a station and a playlist?  I know that they are very similar if you ignore the limitations of the Podcast Stations, but they are different things.

    Hi Voodi,
    There are 2 parts to your question.
    Primary Role - This concept does not exist in SPM 2.1  This was used in 2.0 to specify which Browse menu (Content Tree) to display.  In SPM 2.1 there is only one Browse menu (Content Tree).
    Data Source - This concept still exists in SPM 2.1  This is used to determine which 'Dimensions & Measures' are displayed when user wants to create new reports.
    So in your case (when using a SPM 2.1 system) you would select the detail data source to create a new detail report and save it under the 'Detail Report' folder, next under measure properties select a specific measure -> under Detail Reports tab you select the detail report created to link it to this measure, provided you are an administrator.
    So basically the functionality still exists to create a new detail report and link it to a measure.

    Your last question - Which one is executed first?
    The application.cfc will be executed first if you call the
    test.cfm. The application.cfm will not get executed.
    and, about ur first question... cfm and cfc are entirely
    different. You have onRequestStart, onRequestEnd and other events
    on cfc. cfc is powerful than cfm.

    Both file and ftp adapters are non-concurrent jca adaps, however we go for file adapters mostly when you have files on your local environment and do not need to wait for someone to FTP the files on a timely basis. In case of FTP Adapter, we would need an FTP Server, a remote location with access where in files pitch in for polling.
    Also, File adapter is dependent on the local folder and OS, however FTP adapter is dependent on the local as well as the remote file system/OS/folder permissions/user access.

    These two concepts are unrelated. A jar file is nothing more than a zip file of class files and other related resources, which you can use to 'bundle' your application for ease of deployment. Th use of zip files is not mandatory.
    Packages on the other hand, are a means of 'packaging' parts of an application or library in their own namespace, generally for reasons program structure, and to avoid naming collisions. A bunch of classes in a package will be compiled into a bunch of class files, on a one-to-onwe basis (one file per class).
    You may chose to 'bundle' those and other classes into a jar file.
