Differences between iPad 1 and 2 (in terms of apps)?

I know there's the few obvious differences:
-Lighter/thinner
-Cameras
-Smart cover
-Better specs (CPU/GPU/RAM)
-Gesture controls with iOS 5
But I don't particularly care for any of that since I wouldn't intend on gaming on it, I simply don't have use for the cameras, and I never really liked gesture controls.
Anyway, can anybody tell me some apps exclusive to the iPad 2 that aren't camera-related or games? I asked the same question on another forum, and kept getting mention of there being a lot of apps incompatible with the original iPad.

Actually, the requiresSelection was renamed to requireSelection:

  • Difference between logical and virtual terms

    Hello,
This is not purely oracle question; but in documentation so many times we find 2 terms:
    A. Logical
    B.Virtual.
So what is the principle difference between logical and virtual? As I know physical is that which I can see and touch; while logical/virtual is that is imaginary. We say tablespace is logical not virtual; while Java Virtual Machine; not Java Logical Machine. So I want to know; what is the principle difference; why two words for an imaginary thing. Before posting question; I searched in google as “Difference between virtual and logical” but I couldn’t found the answer.
    Please quote your comments.
    Thanks & Kind Regards
    Girish Sharma

    Girish,
I wont say that I am correcting you as this is like that half glass full/empty thing.May be what I see is half empty , you would see the same as half full.
Well now coming to the explanation.I am saying honestly , I got more confused after reading your definitions. What do you mean by saing that tablespace is not virtual.I see it as purely virtual. We don't say it as virtual tablespace or logical tablespace but it is actualy logical/virtual, having no existance but just the definition right?
How can you say that the size of virtual is larger than logcial? The size of tablespace is actualy the sum total of size of datafiles. So it actualy becomes very larger right?Much larger than JVM which is of few megs only.
The point 3 totally knocked me out.I have no idea what you said.
Ok I tell you this.Just remember the definition that Hans gave already. If you ask me than its the best definition that we can have. Just remember this and if some one asks you more further than give them your point 3 definition and tell them understand this ;-).Please don'tmind I am just kidding. Its just semantics.Don't get lost into it.You will find many people using both the terms interchangibly. So its ok.I shall stick with Hans's defintion, simple and concise. There are lot more other topics to dig upon in oracle.I can mail you lots of them.Spend time on those.Don't think that I am demotivating you.I understand you asked only because you have a doubt. But we got a good resolution of it and beyond that, its not of much use to dig it atleast not in the technial terms.
    Cheers

  • Difference between 'setup' and 'configuration' in Oracle Apps

    Business Requirement:-
    ===============
A company may want to allow all of its employees to make purchases up to $10 without having such purchases approved. Another company may have a business rule that each employee’s approval limit depends on his or her position within the organization.
    Question:-
    =======
How to reach the above requirement?
Is it thorugh configuration or setup?
It must be through configuration and not set up.
Set up is something like one time.. Configuration can be changed depends on your business needs.
Like if your company wants to increases the limit from 10 to 100$, then change in configuration is needed.
Hope you got the answer.. if you want more explanation, please be specific....

  • Difference Between iPad and iPhone Apps

    hello all,
Yet recently the new idevice was launched, However, prior to the launch of the ipad, the information that i had (which requires your updates) that iphone apps can too run on ipad too. As the ipad app store was launched later than the hardware.
So, my question is, if i am planning to buy the ipad (which has been launched in india yesterday), will my iphone apps would run on the ipad, especially the games ?

Almost everything that runs on the iPhone will run on the iPad. But in a small window that matches the number of pixels of a 3GS iPhone. You can double the pixels to get it to fit the screen, but some people don't like the pixelaton this causes.
The only things that won't run are things like telephony or photo apps that require use of hardware not present on the current iPad.

  • Block Video Differences Between Ipad and PC

    Customer is asking:
When using Jabber Video on my PC  I have noticed if I block my camera it remains as a still shot of the last image whereas if I block video when using the iPad app it is a black screen. Is it possible to change the Jabber Video settings to show as a black screen on my PC when video is blocked?
    Can this be done?
    Thanks
    Tony

Probably more an issue related to this particular PC than a JabberVideo, when I mute video on my Dell laptop a still shot of the last image is visible for about 5 seconds, then the screen goes black.

  • Difference between iPad and iPhone?

I just got my first iPad. I thought that it would almost be the same like the iPhone. On the iPhone I have an "all inboxes" option, does that exist on the iPad? I can't find it anywhere...
    Thanks

The two devices are on different versions of the iOS (3.2 vs. 4.0). iOS 4 for the iPad has been promised for "Fall" - then it'll also get the unified inbox.

iPad apps are designed specifically for the iPad and will not run on the iPhone or iPod Touch. iPhone/iPod apps will run on the iPad, but will only take up an iPhone sized portion of the iPad screen (though you get a 2x button which effectively doubles each pixel in both directions so may appear pixelated). There are also 'universal' apps (which have a '+' symbol against them in the store) which have processing in them to recognise the device that they are on and will tailor the display accordingly (so will make use of the iPad's larger screen).

  • Is there a difference between ipad demo and normal ipad except the software?

Helli, i want to ask if someone know is there any significant difference between ipad demo version and normal ipad for selling ? Except the software difference and is true that ipad demo can be erased to a normal OS And worked normally after that? Thanks

As far as I know only Apple can potentially change the iOS on a demo model iPad to be the proper version, due to limitations within the demo version you probably won't be able to change/update it yourself.

  • Difference between Gas & Electricity in terms of invoice & Billing and DM

    Dear Experts,
Could you please list down all the difference between electricity and gas standard business process in terms of DM, Invoice & Billing.
    San.

    Hi Santosh
The only big difference is that when you are implementing IS-U for a gas company, division 02 - Gas will be used. When using this division a gas procedure must be used at the register level and at the rate category level. This gas procedure is used to convert the gas volums into energy. A gas procedure is configured in the SPRO and has 2 componens: Volume Factor Procedure and Thermal Gas Procedure. The first one calculates a volume correction factor based on air temperature and other factors and the second one uses a  calorific value facor which is used to convert the volume into energy.

  • ICloud not pushing apps between iPad and iPhone what am I doing wrong

I have a new iPad2 and a new iPhone4.  I put iOS5 on both of them.  My understanding of this was when you purchased an app on one device it would push to your other devices.  I did this and the apps do not push to my other device.  I use the same Apple ID for both if that matters.  I set up iCloud on both devices, turned everything "on" and created an @me account.  What am I doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for any help...feeling like an iDiot

I believe you are misunderstanding.  You don't sync apps between iPad and iPhone, and iCloud has nothing to do with any of this.  There is a setting in Settings -> Store where you can set each device to automatically download NEW apps, meaning that when you buy a new app on one device, the other automatically downloads it.  However, this is for new downloads only.
For your existing apps, you can simply connect each device to your computer and move the desired apps to it in iTunes.  Or you can go to the App Store and re-download those apps.

  • What is the difference between Ipad Air with code MD787B/A and MD787FD/A??

Hi - what is the difference between Ipad Air with the code MD787B/A and MD787FD/A ??

You can see the model number in Settings>General>About>Model. The model number has a two-letter code, a number and some more letters. The last part stands for the country/region. The first letter can be "F" (refurbished), "M" (normal retail), or "P" (personalized / engraved). For example MC605B is the model MC605 and B is for the region.
What country does my device belong to?
