  • Foreign currency posting to Internal order and settlement

    Hi All,
The payment posted to an internal order was in a foreign currency then translated into usd.  The settlement used a different exchange rate so in usd there was a balance.
    How do we rectify this..?

    Hi
I am not sure how IS-H works.. But for sure, it should allow you to enter 3 stat objects...
There would be some ABAP trick pertaining to IS-H which I am not aware of...
I can guide you a bit...  During SD billing, ask abaper to put a break point and manually enter the values for cost center and IO and then post the doc.... One of these 2 will be the outcomes
    a. Either it will get posted or
    b. It will get over written before posting....
based on the outcome, you will have to decide your next course of action
Also, if your cost center to IO is one to one mapping (Chances would be rare), you can simply write a substitution which would always prevail
I am sorry I could not offer you a complete solution.. But, this is what comes to my mind...

  • CJI3 Report - Balance in Controlling Area currency after settlement

    Hi Friends,
When I run CJI3 report for one of my projects, the system displays the actual costs in Controlling Area Currency and Object Currency. Controlling Area currency is USD and Object Currency is EUR. After settlement, for one of the cost elements, the CJI3 report shows 0 EUR actual costs balance under Object Currency and displays 19.5  USD actual costs balance under Controlling Area currency. This seems to be coming from PM05 order and the the posting dates are different.
Why there is balance shown in Controlling Area currency (USD) (may be due to exchange rate difference according to me..)?
How this issue can be resolved so that I can go ahead to close the project?
One more thing related to the same issue, when I run CN41 (Structure Overview0 report), it shows a difference actual costs balance (3201USD)? Why is it different from CJI3 report? Which report is correct?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Balakrishnan

you need to check two things -
are you settling the PM05 order to WBS before settling the WBS itself
    or
there seems to be another account to make provision for exchange rate fluctuation - check that out

  • Difference between TECO and CLSD in internal order/WBS

    Hi friends,
Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between These two status TECO[Technically Complete] and CLSD [Closed]  in internal order/WBS  elements.
    Thanks
    Wilson

    Hi,
    Good morning and greetings,
The term TECO stands for Technically Completed and this status is activated to do month end settlements to the IO so that costs accumulated till that point would be compared against the planned cost and would be settled for difference... The TECO status would be revoked after the month end to continue for further collecting of costs and would be settled finally...Once you invoke the status CLSD the system will not allow you to post any more further postings to the internal order.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards
    Ramesh Padmanabhan

  • Results Analysis Settle Internal Order (from CRM) - No cost element allowed

In SPRO results analysis configuration to "Define Posting Rules for Settlement to Financial Accounting" I am not allowed to use an account with a cost element.  (Error: I get error KQ 119 G/L account ### cannot be created as a cost element.)
I configure a G/L account with no cost element.  KO88 Settlement posts to G/L account fine; however, does not post to the internal order because the config mentioned on first line does not allow me to use an account with a cost element.
Problem: I am unable to see settlement in KOB1 report because settlement goes to GL Account, but does not post to the internal order.
Failed solution:  I tried to use OKC9 substitution at KO88 to substitute the internal order number.  The problem is that table AUFKV is empty when the substitution runs at KO88 settlement.  I am not able to substitute the order number because the order number isn't even available in the substitution at internal order settlement.
I put a break manual break point in program GBTACCOB at the call to the substitution rule I defined.  The breakpoint stops at the substitution when I run KO88 settlement; however, fields are blank. I am unable to do substitution.  I know this works because I have a similar substitution on the same internal order for accounting indicator when doing an MB1A goods issue to an internal order.  The break point stops there and the AUFKV data is available for substitution rule.
    Question:
Any suggested solutions to to have internal order update into KO88 settlement after KKA1 results analysis would be helpfull.

It is more of a reporting issue really.
The problem is that internal order settlement with settlement profile instead of results analysis does post the settlement to the internal order and does use a cost element.  This is the business process the users currently have.  Our users have a requirement to settle the orders weekly.  This helps them find issues earlier and speeds up the month end close.
In the past we could use KOB1 and see the current balance of an internal order and see the settlement.  Now that report no longer shows the settlement.  How can I see what has been settled on an order and what hasn't now?

  • Showing Settled Internal Orders

    Hi,
In our company at the end if each month we settle our Internal Orders to a number of cost centres, so when we then run a report for that Internal Order(after settling) it shows as blank on the report....and thats fine.
Now there is a requirement to see what the costs sitting on the Internal Order were origianlly....before they were settled to cost centres, is their any report/or way to show the Internal Order before we settled it?

    Hi,
You can check the line items posted to Internal Order for the specific range of posting dates in transaction code KOB1. I think this report should be helpful to analyse the posting before making settlement.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Settling Internal order

    Hey Guys,
I am using internal orders as capital investment programs.
These are the steps i did
1- created the order( AUC gets creted automatically)
    2- entered the budget
    3 Posted to the order
4- settled it- Using processing type 1( automatic)- after settlign the settlement rule populates through config. This moves the cost from the IO to the AUC
now i need to settle the order again using processing type 8( full settlement) to move values from the AUC to the asset.
It gives me the message that there is nothign to settle or the order is settled.
    am i missing any step?
    please advice
    THanks,
    Zaid

    Thanks for the reply-
    my settlement rule is
    CAT     recevier     percent    settlement
    FXA    3-0              100         AUC
This settlment rule comes up automatically once i settle the I/O.
I need to add a settlement rule below this?
    please clarify
    Thanks,

  • Tolerance exceeded due to translation difference in parallel currency.

    Hi,
I am getting the following error when transaction: ASKB -
Tolerance exceeded for differences due to currency translation
    Message no. AAPO518
    Diagnosis
An error occurred during translation of currency amounts into the parallel currency using currency type 40.
The document balance is  3605.07 MRL and it cannot be corrected automatically.
    System Response
    The document cannot be created
Please help to understand and solve the error.

    Hi,
It could be that you need a derived depr. area activated as
"Derived depreciation area as real area"
    Documentation:
Treat Derived Depreciation Area As Real Area
Specifies that a depreciation area that was originally defined as a
derived depreciation area is treated as a real depreciation area in
the target company code. This means that not only depreciation
differences can be posted to special depreciation reserve accounts,
but also real differences in acquisition and production costs can be
      posted to balance sheet accounts.
    Use
If you set this indicator, then the system posts the real difference
between two depreciation areas, if the original depreciation area was
defined as the difference between two other areas (for example,
special depreciation area 03 defined as the difference between areas
01 and 02). If the source depreciation area is not a derived
depreciation area, then the system removes the indicator during the
      input check.
Please take into account that after this change on customizing,
the accounts in the account determination for this depreciation
area have to be maintained for APC accounts also.
In another scenario the reason for error AAPO518 was the use of a
non standard schema. May you check if you are using a modificatin to the
schema: for example you can check this in transaction SM43 ->
ie SM34 -> VC_T093H01. Check the transaction and to which schema
    it is linked.
    Best Regards,
    Blaz

  • Posting of Exchange rate differences in parallel currencies

    Hello experts,,
    We are on ECC 6.
When we enter an incoming invoice with MIRO and the current exchange rate differs from that in the PO, the exchange rate differences in local currency and in parallel currency (group currency) post to different accounts.
Is this a standard feature / behavior? If so, where can i find the settings.
Shouldn't the postings in all currencies (except doc currency), in the event of exchange rate difference post to the same account?
The material ledger is not active.
We have maintained a local currency and a group currency.
Example to illustrate my issue -
    DC = JPY
    LC = SGD
    GC = USD
    PO for asset.
    PO value = 100000 JPY
Ex rate not fixed in the PO.
    Ex rate at PO -
    100 JPY = 1.6 SGD
    100 JPY =  0.85 USD
    Ex Rate at IR
    100 JPY = 1.7 SGD
    100 JPY =  0.9 USD
    When IR is entered,
The exchange rate difference of 100 SGD (@ 0.1 per 100 JPY) is posted to the asset. No posting in USD (though there is a balance of 50 USD).
At clearing (Transaction FB1S - GL account clearing) the exchange rate difference (in GC only, because no balance in LC) of 50 USD (@ 0.05 per 100 JPY) is posted to the Exch. rate difference GL acct.
Thanks in advance for your advice/solution.
    B. Regards,
    Halaswamy

    Hello,
    1.  You have to assign Forex GL's for the reconciliation accounts in OB09.
    2.  At the time of payment for incoming invoices, system can read the valuation differences and it will post to Realized Gain/Loss accounts and B/S adjustment account.
    3. You can consider this amount to issue bonus to your customers.

  • Problem in Reversal of settled Internal Order

I am trying to reverse some internal orders already settled. But while doing test run for collective reversing of settled I.O. I am getting error that I.O number is missing in the text field. I think while reversing system is not picking data for text field. The user have tried this before and it as working then. There is an OSS note 126363 on simmilar problem but not exact problem and it rfered it as a programing error.
Any body facing such experience or any suggetion is welcomed. This is an urgent requirement as user want to close the period.
    Regards,
    Arun Agarwal

    Hi,
You can reverse a posted settlement using the settlement transaction, as long as the settlement documents that belong to it have not been reorganized. However, you can only reverse the most recently carried out settlement. If you have to reverse an older settlement, you first have to reverse the most recent settlements (following it) in reverse chronological order.
The above is simply conceptual. But in your case, your problem appears to be something different. You can consider debugging the case to find out the cause so that the remedial action can be determined.
You can also check the relevant document type to make the document header text as 'not required' to complete the process.
Please let me know if this helps.
    Cheers.
