Differences Rules Manager actual and last version

Hello,
what is the difference between the actual (Oracle 10.2/11) and the last version (Oracle 10.2) of the Rules Manager?
thanks.

Hello,
Some of the key Rules Manager enhancements for 11g include
- Support for collections and aggregate predicates in rule conditions,
- Support for text predicates in rule conditions,
- Support for shareable rule conditions,
- DELETE and UPDATE support for DMLEVENTS configuration and
- Support for change notification events
You will find more information about these enhancements in the 11g White paper at
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/rules_manager/index.html and also in the Application Developer's Guide.
From the above link, you can also download the new Ajax based Development tool for creating and managing CEP applications in the database. This tool will work with existing 10.2 applications as well. You will find the tutorial for this tool in the Training section.

-Aravind.

  • What is difference between Managed Bean and Backing Bean?

What is difference between Managed Bean and Backing Bean? Please guide me how to create them and when to use them?
Please post sample for both beans.

    Hi,
managed beans and backing beans are quite the same in that the Java object is managed by the JavaServer Faces framework. Manage in this respect means instantiation. The difference is that backing beans contain component "binding" references, which managed beans usually don't. Do backing beans are page specific versions of managed beans.
Managed beans are configured either in the faces-config.xml file, or using ADF Faces and ADFc, in the adfc-config.xml file

  • The difference between system restore and last good known configuration

    hi,
what is the difference between system restore  and last good known configuration.
in which situation you use system restore ,and in which situation you use last good known configuration.
very short answer wil be enough.
    thanks
    johan
    h.david

Last Known Good Configuration deals only with Starting Windows eg. a bad registry or incorrect driver is preventing Windows to start. It recovers the registry settings of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet
While System Restore uses restore points to return your system files and settings to an earlier point in time without affecting personal files. Restore points are created automatically every week, and just before significant system events, such as the installation
of a program or device driver. You can also create a restore point manually. You can undone system restore but there is no such option in Last Known Good Configuration.
Last Known Good Configuration is disabled in Windows 8 or,Windows 8.1 by default.
Try using Last Known Good Configuration if you can't start Windows, but it started correctly the last time you turned on the computer.
Try using System Restore to return the system to an earlier point in time when things worked correctly.

  • Actual and Plan Versions annual view - Multiple versions per company code

    Good Day,
Iu2019m creating an FI-CO query with an annual view of both Actuals and Plan Values, which uses period and version as input values. The dilemma is around the plan versions which are hardcoded per company codes (eg. 1 Company Code = versions 501 u2013 512)
Can anyone suggest a possible solutions as normally there is only one version used for planning but in this instance there are multiple versions per Company Code.
Currently the report is hardcoded for one Company Code and going forward it should cater for more than one(Company Company* 12 Version)
    Kind Regards

Remove restriction on comp code. There could be 2 models.
    1. Include comp code, value type and version in the rows. This way you get multiple records for a comp code. One record for actual data and one record each for plan versions. To have this model at the query, the data model in the cube also should be in this way (what we call as the account model), multiple records differentiated into actual/plan by valuetype and different versions by version.
    2. Include comp code in rows. Create selections, one for actuals (restrict with key fig and value type 10, actuals), one for each plan versions (restrict key fig with value type 20, version 501. Create one selection for each version this way). This way we have one record per comp code with diff key fig for actual and plan versions. We call this as key fig model. To have this model at the query, the data model in the cube could be account model or key fig model. If it is key fig model then no need of selections. The key fig could be taken directly from the cube.

  • Actual and Plan Versions

    Hi,
I was wondering if someone could give me a general overview of actual and plan versions.
    Points will be awarded generously.
    Thanks,
    Deki

    Versions are nothing but scenarios.
There can be only one Actual, so only one version is available for Actual i.e 0
But the comapny can have different plans on the basis of various business scenarios for example, if they acheive 80% capacity utilisation or achieve break even etc for flexible reporting. This will help easy comparison at the period end.
Hope you are now clear about the versions.
    Thanks

  • Major differences between GTS 7 and 10 version

I am new to GTS. I am ECC consultant and my company is sending me for GTS training.. Currently we are in GTS 7 and SAP has stopped supporting the  7 version and hence planning to go for  upgrade to 10 version
I wanted to check what are the major changes from 7 - 10 . We do not want our normal business to be broken once we do upgrade and hence trying to figure out the differences between 7 and 10 version.
Latest release notes only  mentions difference from 9 10 10 but could not find the differences between 7 -10.
If any of you faced the same issue can you please point out the major differences.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Vijay,
As you can see, Vikas has provided all the details here, so there's not much more to be said .
In the areas you mention, I think it's unlikely that anything will be broken by your intended upgrade.  Instead, you may find additional features that could be interesting to start using in the future - the exception being Embargo checking where (unfortunately) nothing has changed as far as I know.
SPL now offers more options for checking names & addresses, and there's more flexibility and functionality in Legal Control, including re-export value calculations where trade in controlled products is undertaken with USA vendors.

  • HT204074 whats the difference between managed devices and authorized computers

What is the difference between the 10 managed devices and 5 authorized machines? What cant I do on the Unauthorized device that is a managed device?

This is my understanding of it.
Authorisation only applies to computers, not devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) - it allows you to play/use your iTunes downloads on that computer e.g. playing music, films etc., and to sync that content to a device. Up to 5 computers can be authorised at a time.
Having a device associated (or managed) with your account, which can be up to 10 computers and devices (and as each associated computer must also be authorised to your account it means that at most 5 of the 10 can be computers) means that you've used iTunes Match, automatic downloads and/or re-downloaded past purchases on them. Once a device or computer is associated to an account it will be tied to that account for 90 days. You can still sync content to a device without it being on the associated list.
A managed computer must also be an authorised computer, so you can't have one that is unauthorised but associated.

  • Difference between plan, actual and target in order

    hi
    plz tell me ans.
In the manufacturing order WHAT is the difference PLAN, ACTUAL and TARGET.
In the CK11N, we will estimate plan cost for one finished product but in order we are taking 2 costing variant that is PRODUCTION ORDER PLANDED (PPP1) and PRODUCTION ORDER ACTUAL(PPP2) . in the ORDER calculation which is taken as an account  and  tell me their functionality separately
    thank u
    sowmya

Plan Cost means this is the cost of Product or Material or Activity or any others statistical price which we estimate and Plan prices for organizations future activities.
Actual cost is the original/Actual cost we incurred for Product or Material or Activity or any other.
Target cost are the costs that are expected for a certain operating rate.  It is the dynamic value which will be calculated on the basis Operating rate (Operating rate = (Actual activity / Plan activity) X 100), and It is a consistent basis useful for comparisons of the plan and actual costs of a period.
    Ex:
we plan $110 per hour of Labor activity.
but we incurred $125 as actual cost.
for this Target cost is (125/110)*100=113
We use Costing variant for plan to calculate plan price of Order.
when order is created system posts planned costs to the order according to standard cost estimate of product, which uses the planned cost variant.
when the production is carried out Actual costs are posted to the order using Costing variant for actual.  when order is completed system uses this two values to calculate the variance of production order. which can be settled to FI.

  • Difference between Item Cost and Last Evaluated Price

    Dear All,
What is the difference between Item Cost and Price in Last Evaluated Price List. Exactly when are they updated?
    Regards
    Sibasish

    Hi Sibasish,
The "Last Evaluated Price" is simply a price list but can't have a direct manipulation like other price lists. Its values may not involve in any accounting transactions if it's not selected for the concerned transaction any way.
On the other hand the item cost is the cost which is maintained by SAP B1 (until and unless you select the Standard Valuation Method), and it gets involved in the accounting transactions where inventory is involved. For e.g. the "COGS" is calculated on the basis of this value.

  • Inventory Management differences between 3.5 and 7 versions doubt

    Hi
We plan to upgrade BW system from version 3.5 to version 7 next year.
And we plan to initiate Inventory Management in BW (Cube 0IC_C03).
It is good idea to start Inventory Management before upgrade?
OR the better idea is wait befor upgrade?
    THX for your opinion.
    Adam

look at the current content if that meets the requirement then why to wait till upgrade. During upgarde it is your call whether to move objects to BW7 (content) and data flow. Even if you want to move to BW7 data flow, you could easily migrate.
Why should you wait for those many months if currents objects meet your reporting needs.
Also, I am not sure whether SAP has made any changes to Inventory content so that you could get anything better with new content post upgrade.
    Regards

  • Remote app and last version

The newest update of Apple's Remote app requires iOS 7.1 but my iPhone 5 is on 7.0.x.  However iTunes insists on installing the new version, even though it is incompatible, and it predictably crashes.  I can download the last compatible version via the App Store app on the iPhone 5.  But the next time I sync in iTunes it overwrites it with the incompatible version.   I'd like to keep the newest version in iTunes because my iPad is on iOS 8.
What's the recommended course of action here?

The first part of your response helped a lot, thanks. (Though you meant 7.0.x version, not 7.1 v).
It's such a chore to have to avoid updating all apps.  iTunes should allow apps to update (for devices on newer iOS versions) but never overwrite existing apps (already on a device) if the version of the newer app in iTunes is newer than the compatible version for that device.
Alternately it should allow you to either a) keep multiple versions of apps in iTunes and install them on appropriate target devices as you would install an iPhone and iPad only version of an app separately, or b) designate certain apps as excluded from further updates.
But dealing with reality, I do want the newer version on the iPad if possible. It's currently already installed there.  The question I now have is, if you have to manually transfer purchases to get the copy of the app on the device back over to iTunes, if the iTunes version is now the older version, why would synching the iPad (with the newer version) transfer those purchases back to iTunes?
BTW, Apple's Podcasts app is also a culprit.

  • Is there a difference between the "teacher" and "normal" versions of CC?

    Hi,
Are there any differences in the feature set (ie - less filters, not as feature rich, etc, etc) of Adobe Creative Cloud education version (in this case, I'm a teacher), and the "normal", more expensive version of Adobe Creative Cloud (ie - what a normal individual would pay who doesn't qualify for the discounted education versions).
    Many thanks for the insight!

    Thanks Luis.
The only difference is the subscriptiion price for students and teachers.
The Creative Cloud FAQ here http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html covers a lot of common questions.
