Different set of results

The searches for:
     o ring
and
     o-ring
Return a different number of results.
Should they be the same seeing that "-" is a non searchable character?

If character "-" is not included in search characters, is that correct that "o-ring" will be treated as a phrase search?
I found the following in Dev studio help:
Adding search characters that support automatic phrasing
Inclusion of original punctuation marks in search query phrases returns more relevant results.
It says "More" which made me think ... maybe not "phrase". Please explain, thanks.

    I have hard coded the 2 jon sets into one using UNION ALL but if one record exists in both sets how would i diferentiate between the 2 sets.
    COUNT(*) will only give the total records.
    if there r total 14
    suppose first set gives 12 records
    second set gives 4 records.
    But i want only 14 records which could 12 from set 1 and 2 from set 2 since set1  and set2 can have common records.

  • How to set query result to a single window

    I am using SQL Developer 2.1063, and not happy with the default setting of result window. Everytimes when I run a query, the result appear in a new result window. Over a couple of hour I have tense or hundreds of result tabs in the low window. It is not quite fun to remove them one by one.
    I am sure it can be set so that all result appear in one result window, as I am used to in the old SQ Developer version. But I failed to find it in Prefernces and in Help.

    Have fun,
    K. K
    I've just tested on 2.1.1 and i came to the same conclusion as user10369687
    - if you check the box for "Preferences - Database - Worksheet - Automatically Freeze Result Tabs" or click the pin button or run as script (F5) or highlight the sql and run as script (F5) you always get new query result tab.
    The option name suggest that if you check the box the same result tab will be used for different queries which is not true, is the oposite way.
    If the option name is changed than the confusion will be cleared.

    PS CS6 has a different set of installed fonts than my old PS CS4.  How do I get my old fonts back?  Don't like most of the newer CS6 fonts.  Dell Precision, Windows 7.  Does PS use the fonts in the Windows directory or does it use its own?  If so, where are they in the directory?  A lot of my preferred fonts show in the Windows directory but not in Photoshop, which does not display them within the program.  Please help.  If I get free fonts (NOT CC fonts) from elsewhere, where do I put them for Photoshop[ CS6 to use them?  Thanks.

    All versions of Photoshop get their fonts from your OS.  Just install any missing font wherever Windows keeps fonts.
    I don't do windows myself.

Also want to convert all Apple works docs to pages docs on my IMac. Is there and app available to do the former. many thanks. b

    The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
    To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
    If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats.

  • Internal and External different set of menu for ESS

    Hi
    We have 2 portal server - Internal and External. The Portal are being used not.
    We are planning to implement ESS now in Portal. We are planning to provide two different set of options when the same user access internally and externally.
    For example, User XYZ access internally he will get menus ABCDE but the same user access from external he only gets manu AB.
    If anyone has implemented with similar concepts or know how to do it technically, kindly advice.
    Thanks
    Yuva

    Let us assume we have 3 internal groups :
    internalGroup_1 -> Role A, Role B
    internalGroup_2 -> Role C, Role D,
    internalGroup_3 -> Role E,
    and 2 external group :
    externalGroup_1 -> Role A,
    externalGroup_2 -> Role B,
    We add similar user under a group. and then roles are assigned to groups. in above example Role A , Role B is assigned to internalGroup_1.
    We can have a single user id in which is attached to interalGroup_1, interalGroup_2, interalGroup_3 , externalGroup_1and interalGroup_2.
    When user logon to Internal portal he will see role A, B,C,D and E
    and when user logon to internal  poral he will see role A,B.
    provided A,B,C,D,E roles should exist in internal protal and role A,B exist in External portal. You can use transport roles from external portal to internal portal.

  • In Apple Configurator, can I set up different sets of iPads with different apps loaded? Or will all iPads synced with Configurator be required to have the same build?

    In Apple Configurator, can I set up different sets of iPads with different apps loaded? Or will all iPads synced with Configurator be required to have the same build?

    Hi jshira86,
    You can definitely have different sets of iPads with different apps loaded. When you "supervise" your iPads, you will see that on the left side of the Configurator window there is a "+" sign in the lower left corner. Click it to create a new device group. With this new device group you can choose what apps and configuration profiles you want to install on that group of iPads. Create as many groups as you want to customize the apps and profiles you want on them.
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Can different music be used with different set of photos in a slide show?

    Can different music be used with different set of photos in a slide show?

    Yes. The basic idea is that you make a playlist of songs and choose that to use with the slideshow, rather than any particular song. In iPhoto 11 you can do this in iPhoto. In earlier versions you do this in iTunes.
    There is a limitation. Each song will play the full way through, you can't croassfade from one to another and so on.
    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
    iMovie, on every Mac sold.
    Others, in order of price: PhotoPresenter  $29
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
    FotoMagico $29 (Home version) ($149 Pro version, which includes PhotoPresenter)
    Final Cut Express  $199
    It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Express is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • Is it possible to open 2 Firefox windows with a different set of tabs at start-up?

    I would like Firefox to open two separate windows at start-up, each containing a different set of tabs.
    Is there a way to do this?

    If you close Firefox with these open and start Firefox with the windows from last time yes.
    It is also possible to select the active tabs/windows by selecting the Home page to be "Use Current Pages".

  • Different user options with different sets of questions

    Is there a way I can have two different options and when the user clicks on option A a whole set of questions/form fields appear. Or if they select option B a whole different set of questions/form fields appear?
    How would I go about programming something like that?
    Hopefully I was clear enough. Thanks so much! :)

    Hi Arnold,
    SAP Logon Tickets issued by the Portal contain two user ids, basically one for Java Systems and one for ABAP systems. See also note 843061 for details.
    You do not need passwords for the reference system, if the user mapping is maintained by the user administrator, and the UM property ume.usermapping
    .admin.pwdprotection is set to false, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fe/d22a41b108f523e10000000a155106/frameset.htm. If you set the mapped user id programmatically, or if you retrieve it from an LDAP server, you also do not need to verify the ABAP password of the user (see https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SP12/ume/index.html and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0b/d82c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm).
    Best regards,

  • Duplicated report with different set of conditions

    I have just duplicated a report in 10g and apparently I'm not allowed to have different conditions/limitations in the new report. If I change a condition in, say, the new report, it affects the original report and the condition will change according to the changes made.
    Is it really true that you can't have different sets of conditions in two otherwise similar reports (one duplicated from the other)?
    Thanks in advance!

    Had to chime in on one thing here.
    I agree with Michael that most companies SHOULD use Disco Plus as their primary Disco tool for developers and maybe have one copy or so of Disco Desktop for a couple of little things (ie: subqueries - which aren't really sub-queries but that's another story), saving to disk, etc.
    At many clients and presentations I strongly recommend the ol' 95 / 5 / 1 rule being that you have 95 users using Viewer, 5 users using Plus and maybe 1 with Desktop (and most likely that's the 1 with Admin as well).
    However - and it's a big however - is that I've seen many clients that have a problem with the way their situation has been set up (ie: their intranet, their databases, their security, their iAS, etc. - so that Disco Plus runs so much slower than Desktop, that developers end up keeping Desktop and using it!
    It's a crummy situation but when using 3 tier architecture, there seems to be a mental block with many companies that you have to up keep that 3rd tier (ie: the Disco Server for Plus / Viewer).
    And as for the $1200 bucks - again Michael is quite right. Of course, no company would have many more client / server copies out there that they've 'registered' ... right?
    So, unfortunate though it may be, I think keeping the Disco Desktop examples may prove valuable for many developers ... until that day Oracle finally ejects it.

  • Validating different sets of required attributes in an XML schema.

    My requirement is to validate an xml with two different validation strategies. In strategy 1, the xml is required to have several instances of an element with certain required attributes. In strategy 2, the xml is required to have several instances of the same element with different required attributes. So, the idea is that there are two different sets of the same element with different set of required attributes for each set. Is there a way to validate this with using only one xsd. My only solution so far is to use two different xsd files to validate. Thank you.

    Define an xsd:choice for the 2 elements.

  • Different sets of rows

    Hi,
    I need to generate a feed file using PL/SQL or Informatica in which there are different sets of rows. Here is an example -
    ==========================================
    H00120070327103024
    S1234567890
    Iabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
    Izyxwvutsrqponmlkjihgfedcba
    S0987654321
    IABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
    IZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA
    T002
    ==========================================
    In this file, first character describes the type of row -
    H => Header
    S => Summary
    I => Detail
    T => Trailer
    For every summary row (row starting with 'S'), there can be one or more detail rows (row starting with 'I'). Every file has a header row (starting with 'H') and a trailer row (starting with 'T').
    Has anyone created similar files using PL/SQL or Informatica 7? Any pointers or links would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    If you use utl_file, you can create files in any format you wish.
