Digital down conversion issue

I have to generate a sine waveform with a initial phase but it has to be reentrant.Since I'm simulating a digital down-conversion, I have to multiply the samples of each symbol with an equal number of samples of a sine wave that has a fixed frequency. So, for each symbol I need that sine waveform starts with the phase with which ends the previous sine waveform( related to previous symbol). Also, since I am simulating a 16 QAM modulation,I need to create a sine and a cosine, but the initial phase of 90 ° out of phase with each other. My problem is that SineWaveform ignores phase if reset signal is false, as in my case.

I'm having the same issue as well. In addition to the additions/deletions to the master pages, the signature panel indicates that a field on the title page of my form was filled in after validation. I ran a temporary script on the signature field's postSign event, using Acrobat's signatureGetModifications() method, to narrow down where the updates are occurring, and it seems that they're taking place either at the same time the signature is validated or just after. The form is set to automatically preserve scripting changes when it is saved; switching to "manual" doesn't help. Turning field locking on/off doesn't work, either. Once the form has been saved and reopened, though, the problem disappears and the signature validates correctly.
UPDATE 30 DEC 14: The master pages that are being "modified" have separate content areas for navigation buttons; it's these CAs, and their associated subforms and buttons, that Acrobat reports as being modified. I tried commenting out the scripts on the buttons' click events without success.
UPDATE 15 APR 15: I've compared the preSign version of the XML for the field that's being modified with the postSign version and found that the XML is somehow being modified by the act of signing the document. To clarify: I need to fill in a date field on my form to indicate when the form is closed out. I have the signature field's preSign set up to add the current date to the date field. The preSign XML includes <value> and <date> tags, which are missing from the postSign version. Why would applying a signature modify the form's XML?

  • BW system ran out of "session" = transaction SMGW; how to track down "resource" issues?

    Hi SAP Experts,
    we had on our SAP BW system the following situation:
    We are having a week daily process chains, that is uploading data from our ECC system.
    Once in a month, we are uploading from our APO/SCM system data from our BW system.
    Parallel we are having also SAP PreCalculation Server (with three PreCalc instances) instances running. The PreCalc Server is running daily.
    The landscape in short: (DB server = AIX/Oracle, App-Server = Linux, SAP System=7.01; PreCalc Server = Win2008/64)
    This week when all was running at the same time, we faced problems, that log-on to SAP System via ABAP took a long time, same BEx Reports (some failed with Run Time errors).
    From the landscape infrastructure we couldn’t detect any resource issues (we are having two application servers connected to the BW landscape).
    What we saw from the system transactions (SM66, SM51, SM21, ST02, ST04, ST06N) the issue did not seem to be resource based, by network, database, amount of work processes etc.
    But we noticed in transaction SMGW, that it seemed not possible for external programs, like a BEx reports or the PreCalc Server to connect with new session to the BW ABAP landscape.
    The trace showed in SMGW:
    *  LOCATION    SAP-Gateway on host server / sapgw##
    *  ERROR       Conversation 01792797 not found
    *  TIME        Tue Jul 22 14:13:03 2014
    *  RELEASE     720
    *  COMPONENT   SAP-Gateway
    *  VERSION     2
    *  RC          728
    *  MODULE      gwxxconn.c
    *  LINE        971
    *  COUNTER     75240
    In system log, database alert log, we could not find any dead locks reported or anything reported, that explained why, via the SMGW is was not possible to connect with new sessions.
    We restarted the PreCalc Server and after clarifying with application team of APO/SCM we stop the process chain and than the system was back to “normal” operation.
    Now the question is, if you faced similar issues and what the solution, or how you where able to track down the issue?
    Thanks for your ideas.
    Best regards
    Carlos Behlau

    Hi Alwina,
    thank you for your help.
    What I was able to is in SMGW, because the system was very slow, that some connection where "red".
    I forgot to capture screenshots and now I am not able to recall the the status text.
    It is there a way to find out, if we reach the "max" connection numbers, like parameter gw/max_conn 500, via ST03N or via SMGW or via some logs?
    I checked the SMGW trace, but I am not able to identify via the trace in SMGW, if the failures happened now, because max. values of parameters have been reached or what the cause was/is.
    What I meant:
    All external programs, like SAP BW BEx Analyzer (Excel Reporting tool for BW) are connecting via RFC calls. Also SAP Pre-Calculation Server is using RFC calls to generate the reports and send them via E-mail.
    Usually, I can see these connections in SMGW (goto => logon clients).
    There I didn't noticed that we reach 500, when we had the problem.
    Best regards

  • Conversion issue in encoding in PI

    Hi,
      I am having a problem in conversion issue for encoding. Let's have a detailed look into the scenario first.
    Scenario: SNC->PI (through Proxy)->MQ (through Receiver JMS adapter)->SeeBeyond (It's a middleware system).
                   Here from SNC, data are coming into PI as in UTF-8 encoding, whereas all the systems shown in the above flow are of ISO 8859_1 format. Hence UTF-8 needs to be converted into ISO 8859_1. PI does this conversion in Receiver JMS adapter. CCSID has been set to 00819 which is for ISO 8859_1 encoding. But the beginning of the xml, it remains still UTF-8, like below:-
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    Whereas the content of the xml has already been converted into ISO 8859_1 by Receiver JMS adapter. Now let's see the problem now.
    Problem: After the data been passed in SeeBeyond, the mapping fails in SeeBeyond, since SeeBeyond tries to look at the XML tag from the beginning and it found it's in UTF-8 as per he tag above. Then it tries to map it in UTF-8 format whereas the content is in ISO 8859_1, so mapping fails in SeeBeyond. Please note, here allthe systems except SeeBeyond are just bypassing the data, no mapping been introduced in anywhere in the systems except SeeBeyond.
    Workaround: Is there any other chance where we can change the tag header from UTF-8 to ISO 8859_1 in Receiver JMS adapter itself in PI like this:-
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso 8859_1" ?>
    This might resolve our problem I think. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards
    Soumya

    Hi Stefan,
                Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the link you have specified. Ya, that's the other way to resolve that issue in that case. But here we have asked the receiver system (SeeBeyond) to change the encoding part in their mapping. Because changing the coding part in SeeBeyond is less time consuming than adding a new Bean in JMS adapter. Our problem got resolved by changing the mapping in Receiver end. Thanks anyway for your valuable reply.
    Thanks

  • Language conversion issue in PI7.1

    Hi,
    My sceanrio is file to Idoc. Am facing language conversion issues.
    For example one of the field in the source file is having the value "Différence sur net". And in the IDOC field the value is appearing as "Différence sur net".
    With the same data I have done file to file scenario with and without content conversion and the output is coming correctly as "Différence sur net".
    I have enabled Unicode check box in RFC destination also in XI server. But still its coming "Différence sur net" . Please advice how can I get the target field value same as that of the source field vale.
    Can anyone help me to sort out this issue?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    In Channel try with using the File type: text and encoding : UTF-8.
    I think this will solve your issue.
    Thank you,

  • HD down conversion/HD file sizes

    I just have a few quick questions on working with HD, as this is my first time.
    First, if I am shooting in HD, but my final output will be SD, where does the down-conversion happen? Can I simply capture in SD, even though the footage is HD, or do I have to capture and edit in HD, and then down convert when I export the project to Compressor?
    Also, one quick question about HD file sizes- I have found that SD DV footage file sizes are roughly 4.5 minutes per GB, using the DVNTSC capture codec. I expected HD files to be much larger, but after capturing roughly 4 minutes of video, the files were less than 1 GB. The files were definitely 1920x1080, and I captured using the Sony HDV codec 1080i60. Could I possibly be doing something wrong or is that how it is? I was sure HD files would be huge.

    You need to be specific about what format of HD you are talking about here. There are MANY flavors. Uncompressed 10-bit, uncompressed 8-bit...both in 1080 and 720p options, then there is DVCPRO HD, XDCAM, HDV...but going by your last post I assume you mean HDV, the lowest form of HD.
    HDV has about the same file sizes as DV (yet 3 times the area...thus it is HIGHLY compressed)..about 13GB per hour. DVCPRO HD 720p24 is about 24GB per hour, 1080p around 54GB per hour. Uncompressed...lots more. But HDV is about the same as DV...file size wise.
    Your final output will be what format of SD. Again...there are many. Digibeta, betaSP, DV. If your final output will be DV, then it would be advisable to capture the footage as DV. Other wise you will edit in HD and need to downconvert when you are done. Either a capture card (matrox MXO is good for HDV) or by dropping the footage into a DV timeline and rendering or via Compressor. But it would be easier to edit DV to begin with if you are outputting DV.

    my computer displays grey screen and apple logo for 10 minutes or more during start up and shut down. sometimes it refuses to shut down . this issues started after installing OS lion. what do i do?

    I don't think it's exactly an incomplete installation brody, but most likely in-correct permissions somewhere along the line that either happened, or became magnified during the upgrade. Also, it could be corruption as well.
    First thing to do, is boot up holding down Shift key to do a safe-boot so we an clean up any corrupted OS caches, after that do another reboot, but go to the Lion recovery, and scan the HD for errors, repair any if you find them, and then try to do a Repair Permissions job.
    That should fix the issue, if not, we can start doing a PRAM reset  and SMC for good measure.

  • AJA IO HD Down conversion

    Just bought an AJA IO HD. Here's what I'm doing:
    Using Easy Setups, selecting an IO SD Sequence
    Dropping a DVCProHD 1080i quicktime movie onto this (and keeping the IO SD settings).
    Rendering and then exporting as a self contained Quicktime for Compressor
    My question is: what I think I'm doing is using the IO hardware/software down conversion to go from HD to SD - am I right?
    I'm asking because when I unplug the IO it seems to do the same thing.
    If the IO isn't actually doing the down converting, is there a way to do this other than when capturing?
    Help appreciated.
    Message was edited by: Dynamicworm

    Thanks Shane and to all. This is what I suspected. For some reason, reading the IO manual it seemed to suggest there was a software downconversion once the footage was already captured but I guess I misinterpreted this.
    The footage was captured a long time before I got my IO so it was already DVCProHD.
    The reason I asked this question is because I've been having problems exporting my DVCProHD edit to DVD via Compressor and I thought using the IO to do it might solve the problem (there's another long post about this).
    FWIW when I dropped my DVCProHD edit onto an IO DV50 timelime and exported to Compressor the result was much improved compared to doing the same thing on a normal DV50 timeline, so the IO software must be doing something.
    Thanks to all again, appreciated.

    Sorry for this question. Can you use this device with Vlc or QuickTime? Does skype support it? Is this device supported only by its own software?
    I need a device that can work with my own software. My software can work only with a QuickTime supported device.

  • Currency conversion issue in SPM. We are getting incorrect results with SPM conversion function from one of the document currency to USD.

    Currently we are using SPM 2.0 version and we have been facing currency conversion issues.
    Please help me in following aspects.
    1) Where actually currency conversion happens in SPM. Is it the global program which does the conversion or other way.
    2) We have conversion issue for one of the currency where conversion function is giving incorrect results when converting from one of the document currency to USD. here The respective document currency is considering the 1:1 ratio with Dollar which is actually incorrect.
    3) We have verified in both BI side(currency tables) and even ECC side.
    Please help me in understanding this issue and let me know if you need more information on this.
    Its an production issue and appreciated your immediate inputs.
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi Arun,
    The following information may be helpful to you.The SSA_HELPER_PROGRAM has options regarding currency settings.
    EXCH_RATE_TYPE: This flag governs the exchange rate type which will be used for currency conversion in data management. For example if RSXAADMIN contains an entry EXCH_RATE_TYPE = „ZSPM‟ then the conversion type used for currency conversion is ZSPM. The default value for the exchange rate type is „M‟. More details can be found in the note 1278988.
    CURRENCYCONVERSION: By default data management converts all the measures in transaction currency to reporting currency and copies over to the corresponding measure in reporting currency. If the measure in reporting currency is already available in source it might be desirable to disable the currency conversion. To disable the conversion you can make an entry CURRENCYCONVERSION = „ „ in the table RSXAADMIN. This can also be achieved by running the program SSA_HELPER_PROGRAM with the option DEACTIVATE_CURRENCYCONVERSION. The conversion can be reactivated by running the same program with option ACTIVATE_CURRENCYCONVERSION.
    UNITCONVERSION: Similar to above. To deactivate unit conversion you can use the program with option and DEACTIVATE_UNITCONVERSION and to reactivate ACTIVATE_UNITCONVERSION. By default both the conversions are switched on
    EXTERNAL_CURRENCIES: Normally most of the international currencies are stored with two decimal places however certain currencies do have 0 and 1 decimal place too. For example JPY has 0 decimal places. SAP internal format stores even these currencies with 2 decimal places and at the time of display it changes the value to right decimal places. In case a file from external source is loaded to SPM it might have the format with 0 decimal places in the file. To convert it to SAP standard format post processing needs to be done on this value. If that is the case you can set the flat EXTERNAL_CURRENCIES = „X‟ in the table which will enable the post processing for these values. This flag can also be set and reset using the helper program using the option TURNON_EXT_CURRENCY_FORMAT and TURNOFF_EXT_CURRENCY_FORMAT.

  • Content Conversion issue for header record

    Hi,
    We have a very urgent question on an issue here with one of our XI objects.
    This is an inbound interface from an external system into R/3 & BW.  The inbound file has a header record (with about 8 fields) and detail records (about 900 fields per detail record). Data going into R/3 & BW don't have header records and everything goes in as detail records. One field from the header of this source file should be passed to the target structure at the detail level. Also, we are NOT using BPM.
    Can someone help us how we could define the file content conversion parameters for File adapter.
    Thanks in advance ......
    Prashant

    I'm so sorry, I wasn't subscribed to this thread and I didn't realize there were responses.
    If you have a message type made up of a Header with 1 occurence and Detail with 1 to unbounded occurunces, you'd want to do the following in content conversion:
    Document Name - your message type
    Document Namespac - your message type namespace
    Recordset Structure - Header,1,Detail,*
    Recordset Structure - Ascending
    Then you'll need to set some of the parameters, depending on the layout of your incoming file.
    As for the problem of having hundreds of fields, I'm less sure about that.
    Would it be possible to break your detail data type down into smaller data types.  Each with fewer fields.  You'd still have to maintain every field in content conversion, but at least they'd be in seperate parameters, instead of all 900 in one tiny box.
    Here's a very rough example of what I mean:
    If you have 900 fields, instead of making 1 data type of detail, you could make 9 data types, Detail1, Detail2, Detail3, Detail4, Detail5, Detail6, Detail7,Detail8, Detail 9, each with 100 fields in them (or more with even less fields).
    Setting things up the file content conversion would be more complex in this scenario, so it might be a toss up if it's worth it to break it up this way or not if it meant configuring quite a few more parameters.
    For example,
    You'd have to declare your recordset structure like Header,1,Detail1,,Detail2,,Detail3,* etc, and you'd have to make sure to set the .endSeparator to '0' for all of the first 8 details, so it would recognize that they were all on one line.
    I hope this helps a little bit.

  • MPEG-2 conversion issues

    Hi all-
    I normally post over at the FCP discussion page, but for my most recent question someone suggested posting over here, since I'm having problems with the combo of FCP and DVD Studio Pro. Can anyone over here point me in the right direction, even for an old discussion page? (FYI I'm running on 10.3.9, so I'm not on Tiger yet. And I have Quicktime 6.5, not 7).
    Here's the original post:
    I have FCP HD (4.5) and DVD Studio Pro 2. Both are licensed academic versions.
    I have repeatedly noticed problems trying to export my timelines as MPEG-2s, to prepare them for DVD usage.
    When exporting with "Compressor," I tend to have a high failure rate - generally, only about 1 out of every 4 exports actually succeed. This has been the case both before and after a recent reinstall of my OS and FCP and DVDSP (for other unrelated reasons). In addition, obviously compressor doesn't give you the kind of control over compression, such as CBR vs. VBR, one pass vs. two pass, max and average bit rate settings, etc.
    I also noticed that in my DVD Studio Pro Manual, it claims that I should be able to export an MPEG-2 through "Export > through QuickTime Conversion" if I have both FCP and DVD Studio Pro installed. However, when I get to the QuickTime Conversion options in FCP, "MPEG-2" is NOT listed among my possibilities.
    According to the DVD Studio Pro manual, I should be able to set my Encoding parameters in DVDSP's "Preferences" panel, and then have those encoding options carry over into FCP. But the MPEG-2 option isn't even present in FCP.
    Is there some crucial step that I'm missing or unaware of?

    It does sound more problematic than it ought to be.
    First off, the QT conversion export option from the FCP time line should be in place - have you tried to re-install QT lately?
    Compressor uses the same 'engine' to encode the footage to MPEG2 as QT will, but in fact does give you more control over the process, since you have access to various filters and settings which in QT you just don't - nor, for that matter, are they within DVDSP.
    However, if this isn't working then it doesn't matter how many features you have... One thing to keep in mind is that Compressor 1 was/is not a reliable encoder anyway - the files it creates are fraught with problems like 'spikes' in the bit rate which will prevent the DVD from being built. You may want to consider an alternative encoder as an extra tool. I (and many others here) use BitVice and MegaPEG.X regularly on a Mac, or Canopus Procoder or Cinemacraft on a PC. These do cost (of course) and this makes it even more infuriating when Compressor doesn't do the job it is designed for.
    This kind of issue is frustrating because it is hard to nail it down - I seem to remember that some folk reported the order in which the apps were installed makes a big difference - have you recently tried to re-install all of these apps?
    Finally, the later version of Compressor is far better (IMO) than the first, but to get it you'll need to upgrade to a later version of DVDSP (v4). You don't need to upgrade the OS or QT in order to run it, I don't think. At some level I believe you will need to do some uninstalling and re-installing in order to fix this issue.

  • DVD to Digital File Conversion

    I have searched around and found many varying answers to mostly old posts and tried them without success. I've had issues of poor quality and issues where iTunes won't allow me to put the on to my iPod.
    Before I spend money on any software, I'd like to get a consensus on my goals.
    I have a huge DVD (regular and blu-ray) collection and would like to start converting them to digital format for several uses.
    1. iPod Classic & iPod Nano
    2. Networking in my home for viewing
    Questions:
    1. Is it possible for me to convert my DVDs into single digital format file for each movie  that will be functional with a good picture quality for each of these purposes?
    2. What is the best format to use?
    3. What is the Resolution that I should use? (let me know if there are different formats for the different functions)
    4. What are the curent top 3 programs that will allow me to do the above
    Thanks for your help with this matter

    If you want to take footage from a DVD to put into iMovie and then into iDVD and burn a new DVD disk, you MUST use some third party software to do so. You can purchase:
    Handbrake http://handbrake.fr/
    Ripit http://ripitapp.com/
    DVDxDV http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.products.htm
    Or you can use the free MPEG-Streamclip http://www.squared5.com/
    Here are the steps AppleMan recommends for using Streamclip with iMovie 8:
    +I have found I get the best results when I use MPEG Streamclip (which is free). You also have to install the Apple QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component which costs about $20. Once you install the QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component, you don't have to interact with it, but MPEG Streamclip needs it.+
    +Insert your DVD in your drive. If DVD player runs automatically, shut it down. You should see your DVD as an icon on the desktop. Open it is a finder winder. You should see a folder which has VOB files.+
    +Open MPEG Streamclip and drag these VOB files into Streamclip. If it offers to fix timecode breaks, say yes. You can do the VOB files one by one if you want to deal with shorter clips. Or, you can drag all the VOB files at once and create one long clip, or use streamclip to separate them into smaller clips.+
    +In Streamclip, select File/Export using Quicktime and choose Apple Intermediate Codec. You may want to check "Deinterlace" in this step. Try deinterlacing and see if you like it. It depends on your final target media as to whether this will help.+
    +Now you should have MOV files in Apple Intermediate Codec which can be imported into iMovie+
    The process of decompressing the compressed video from the DVD disk, editing it in iMovie and then recompressing it to burn via iDVD will cause some loss of quality.
    Please post back if you have further questions.

  • Digital Signature Validation Issue

    Hi All,
    I have a problem with my digital signature fields. Whenever the user digitally signs the form, there is a message that says that the form is "Signed and all signatures are valid, but with unsigned changes after the last signature". When I open the signature panel (in Adobe Reader or in the Preview PDF tab of Livecycle) the form indicates that a bunch of fields located on the Master Page were deleted and then added (see below). Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?

  • V7 Conversion Issues

    I'm trying to run them all down. Template got nuked but I
    restored it.
    For some reason, there is no baggage folder in the project
    mgr. pod. I found a broken link to a baggage file and thought maybe
    I just forgot to add it but when I went to find tjhe baggage
    folder... no seeum. The rhbag.apj file is there and looks to have
    all the baggage file references. So, I added the file manually,
    after reading about some RH6 issues (I converted fromn 5 to 7). I
    re-published but the file still did not copyh to the output folder.
    Any ideas?
    Another isuse is with numbered lists; they appear in the
    WYSIWIG view but numbers disappear when previewed or published.
    This may be some funky style sheet thing but I was simply using the
    number tool in the format menu.
    Flummozed for now.
