DigitalColor Meter not displaying HEX code

In Snow Leopard I was using DigitalColor Meter 3.7.2 which had support for RGB as a Hex Value, 8-bit hex colour as (See Image)
I recently purchased a iMac and although I thought i was going to have Snow Leopard installed it came with Lion. So I though I would try it out for myself.
I when to open my DigitalColor Meter 4.0 on Lion and I am not even given the option. (See Image)
As a web developer I have used this tool every day for years! I was able to cut and paste the hex code to any colour I saw on my screen not matter where it was or what program I was using. The changes made to this tool have basically made it useless to me.
I really don't know why you would take away functionality on a operating system that is used by so many creative people and in a field that is just growing more in popularity.
I really hope I can find a way to get this back or it is just hidden with some terminal command.

You could try using the SL version in Lion. I've not tried that. BTW, if you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, register as an Apple Developer—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. You'll get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

My client has controlling area currency USD and company code currency CAD. The standard report S_ALR_87013336 displays in USD only but not in CAD. Is there any way where I can change to display company code currency in this report.

Use TCode Select Form 8A-PCA013G which is attached to the report S_ALR_87013336. You would have a key figure KSL_STOCK, change it to HSL_STOCK which is balance in company code currency.
That would meet your requirement.

Design view not displaying but code view is ok

I have to second Murray on this.
I will go a step further and say ignoring errors on your site because someone else's site has some is extremely poor advice, especially considering the volume of people visiting this forum alone with a random display problems that are solved by simply correcting the errors found in the validators.
Restoring from a backup may work this time, but why did it work? That's where validation, and understanding what the validator is telling you, pays off. You somehow inadvertantly mangled your table code, will that ever happen again? What happens if your backup also has the same mangled code next time?
Some validation errors are never going to affect display and can be completely ignored from a "how does this affect my design" point of view, like missing an alt attribute on an image for instance. Others, like missing or improperly nested html elements, can kill your design in browsers or rendering engines that can't handle major errors (like most versions of IE or DW's Design View) while everything looks fine in a browser better programmed to handle problems (like Chrome or Firefox).
Bottom line is, the validators are extremely useful tools, do not ignore the error report unless you understand which errors can be ignored.

Query does not display the code.

I created a query joining SKA1 and SKB1 with the following requirements:
Query of the chart of accounts total for each company code with the following additional information:
- reconciliation list: yes or no / for which sub-ledger (cutomer, accounts payable, assets or others)
- binding on interim transaction: yes or no.
I have successfully created a query but instead of displaying the code (for example AA01-company code) the name of the company was displayed.(example: ABS Company) this is also the same with other fields like the GL account, instead of displaying the numerical value, the text description was displayed even if I have selected the correct field assignment (SKB1-BUKRS).

Because when i am doing the same thing... its working. i can see he company code coming up as AA01.
SKB1-BUKRS is for Company code number... then how it can display Company code Description.

Firefox is not displaying alt codes correctly, substituting a black diamond with a white question mark in their place.

Alt codes (such as ® for "registered" and  for "trademark") are being displayed as a small black diamond with a white question mark inside of it. This has also started happening to more simple characters such as exclamation marks, dashes and apostrophes.
Any ideas?

My posting actually included the alt code syntax, and is now rendered as the corresponding special character. I guess this isn't a surprise!
And no, it was rendered just fine. This morning when I went into the browser to see the problem, it was not mis-displaying as it had been...it had somehow changed and was behaving very nicely. That's all fine, but I'm a little bit wary of this FF browser functionality now...steady as she goes.
Also, I did check the (View > Character Encoding) you recommended, and after experimenting a bit discovered that using "Unicode (UTF-8)" made the wierd black diamond/white question mark character come back in all of the same places it was occuring...up until this morning. I've set my browser default to "Western (ISO-8859-1)" now, and everything is displaying as it should.

Dreamweaver not displaying PHP code correctly

I'm new to PHP, but have used DreamWeaver for a while for
static and .asp pages. A 3rd party coder developed a site in PHP,
and it's up to me to populate it. When I open any of the pages in
DreamWeaver it doesn't look remotely how it renders on the web, and
makes it difficult to manipulate in "design view." Everything runs
down the right side of the page and has a dark background - Any
ideas on how this can be fixed?

assumption is true -- if yes, the html code that´s embedded
this way can´t be displayed by DW, and there´s not much
you could do except tearing the given stuff apart and manually

Ddd does not display source code when loading compiled program

Hey everyone,
I'm writing a C program right now and I would like to use ddd. The problem is, the source code window is completely blank. Has anyone ever run into this before? I really don't even know where to start looking to fix this problem. Yes, I have loaded my compiled binary (I can see the assembly instructions in the machine output). I use both awesome and xfce (different sessions) and it does not work in either.
Here is the relevant configuration info:
extra/gdb 7.3.1-1
aur/ddd-syntaxfix
awesome 3.4.10
xfce 4.8
I had to install ddd from AUR since ddd seems to have a bug in it where it will not show the machine code without a fix.
If you need any other info just ask and I will provide it.

IPhone 4 wifi signal strength meter not displaying

Please forgive me if there is already a post on this but I've been searching around and haven't found anything exactly like my problem. I'm connected to wifi with my iPhone 4. I know this because in the settings it says I am, as well as I have wifi speeds and the YouTube on my iPhone isn't compressed. However, the wifi signal strength isn't showing up and I just have the 3G icon. If I put the phone into airplane mode and then turn on the wifi it then shows up, but goes away when I turn the airplane mode off. It appears to be a software issue, anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I am having this problem as well.
I have tried the airplane mode 'fix' you tried as well and have the same issue.
I have also noticed that by going into Settings > General > Network and turning off 'Cellular Data' my wifi turns on, I'm at work and I can access the itunes account on our music server (which is usually only available via wifi - to que up tracks in itunes dj etc) however i cannot browse via Safari as it tells me i'm not connected to the internet.
If I turn 3G on and off as well the bars will appear, however it's the same symptoms, and after a minute or so the wifi drops again.
In my wifi settings it shows the wifi as ticked and in use.
I can browse the internet via Safari fine without wifi.
I'm not sure what's going on to be honest, my 3G on iOS4 worked fine yesterday at work....today I'm on my new iphone 4 and have encountered this problem.

according to your code, you define a local variable display_url in the layout of your page but without setting any value:
<% DATA:     display_url    TYPE STRING. %>
<iframe src="<%= display_url %>" width="100%" height="500px">
</iframe>
I guess, you have also a page attribute or local variable in your eventHandler named display_url.
So the local definition in the layout overrides the global page attribute an its value.
Use just the page attribute to set the value on initialization and display it in the layout.

An issue with DigitalColor Meter and HTML codes

First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong area; it seemed to be the one most closely related i could find.
I've been using the Mac's DigitalColor Meter program for ages now to grab color codes for my web design work. Until recently, it was fine; find the color you need, shift-command copy it, then paste it into the HTML source code as appropriate. Simple as pie.
Roughly a month or two ago, however, I realized I was having issue with it. I could still copy-and-paste the hex code as normal, but suddenly it wasn't showing up correctly when viewed in soem browser, but fine in others. After a lot of hair-wringing and experimentation, I discovered that (presumably) something had changed with the way DCM copied/pasted its hex code.
When I paste the code, it is inserting invisible characters after each pair of letters. It took me forever just to figure this out, as they were, well, invisible. I couldn't see them in my text editor, but when I used the arrow keys to move along the hex code as pasted, it would pause appropriately each time I got to those points. A friend of mine looked at the code in his (PC-based) text editor, and clearly saw the extra characters, altho it doesn't show up in any of my mac-based ones.
What he saw: "#ab cd ef "
What I see: "#abcdef"
This is, as best I can tell, a recent development, and I'm not sure what prompted the change? Since different browser are interpreting the 'invisible' characters differently, it's causing me to have to manually type in the hex code after finding it in DCM to ensure no extra characters sneak in. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless.
Any ideas out there as to why this has started happening? Any way to correct it? DCM was a staple of my web-working tools, and it's disheartening to have to handle things in the current way.

Unfortunately it seems that this issue is a "feature not a bug". In tiger it used to work fine: you could paste into photoshop or a css file and it would work. It got changed in Leopard because Apple engineering decided that it was better coding practice to treat each hex value as "word" thus delineating it with these infuriating invisible characters. If you copy and paste into BBEdit on leopard and tiger machines you will see the difference.
There might be a way to make an automator action that can strip these characters out when pasting. Another option includes using the less graceful (though you can manipulate the colours further after selecting) built-in color chooser and the HexColorPicker extension to it (google for download). You can write a script and save as an application to run the apple colour chooser as a stand alone.
Open script editor and type: choose color
Save as app, add nice icon and that's it.
Xscope looks a bit overboard for my taste, plus its mo' money! Better invested into Pathfinder or something.

German Special Characters not displayed correctly in RTF using code

The out put is the if i am giving a word with german special characters for eg:
Betriebsübersichten it first gets converted to bytes and then passes through method WDResouseFactory.createResourse(.....) which creates an RTF file and finally in the RTF file it appears as Betriebsbbersichten the special character is not displayed correctly.
i came to knw that while converting into bytes we have to make it RTF supported encoding.ie for eg generatedText.getBytes('cp1252').i even tried with other charactersets like ISO-8859,cp1253 and so on but none of them worked.
It would be really great if you could suggest the needful.

Payment block code is not displayed when an alternative account is used

we have defined an alternative account for vendors.
When posting an invoice directly in FI, the payment block field (as well as the other payment terms fields) is not displayed in the Payment tab, if the alternative account code is selected. If the alternative account is cleared - in the same document - the payment terms fields are again displayed. Changing again the alternative account field (from blank to the relevant code) have the effect of payment terms masking.
The same behavior happens during the modification of a document.
The result is that - as the invoices are posted with the payment block field posted as default, it is not possible to release those documents.
Can you give me any hint?

It may be a problem with Posting Keys you are using.
Go to OB41
Double click on posting key used for payment or which ever your action is for
Click on the Field status on the top
Double click on Payment Transactions
And select optional or required for the fields which you want to see
OR
Go to TCode OBC4
Select the required company code's Field status variant (whole line should be selected)
Double click on Field status groups
Double click on Reconciliation accounts (A/Payable or A/Receivable)
Double click on Payment Transactions
And select optional or required for the fields which you want to see

dont go the table again and again . the table is updated at intial stage only for stock update but not when SAP is running.
In day to day bussiness the flow is as follows:
Production - MB31 - to Unres stock
Sales - VL02n - PGI - to customer - i.e out of unres stock
Every day u can run TC J1i5 once in a day as decided and update the register so all transactions which have happend in that day gets updated i.e both input and output.
and this will happen every day.
hence dont use table as it is only for intial data upload i.e just before golive.
Hope i am clear.
