Direct entitlement custom distribution

We're building direct entitlement server for our corporate (enterprise distribution) clients.
Can we distribute different folios to several different groups? (So that our groups are not just everyone and subscribers)
Do you recommend some third party software for this? Portico?

This was not about Apple's certificates or their Enterprise license.
I want to build app that through dps sign in can download different content for different users (or user groups) for example Country 1 folios, Country 2 folios etc. I read somewhere that direct entitlement subscribers can be controlled through xml but I don't know how complex variations can be made.

When using the enterprise edition to set up direct entitlement, the end user gets the note "purchased" next to the folio the are entittled to. Is it possible to change this to "available" or similar? Yes it's possible. Use Customized Strings feature of the DPS App Builder.
You can customize all strings stored in the viewer in all supported languages. For example, you can customize button text in the library and text in dialog boxes. Select this option, and then click Generate Template to download an XML template to your Documents folder. You can then edit this XML file and specify it in DPS App Builder. If you’re editing a viewer created for a previous version, download and edit the newest template for best results.
When you edit the XML file, each UI element includes a <key name> and one or more language strings (such as <en> for English). Edit the text in the language code (such as <en>); do not change the <key name> string.

But I get -150 (TransactionAuthenticationUnrecognizedCredentialsError) no matter what errorCode i set in the XML response.
And I'd like to get the error code which I've set on the server.
Can I pass a custom code there somehow ?
Or I need to set the error code to one of the values from that list ?

Direct entitlement on Android devices - DPS App Builder

Hi,
We already have a direct entitlement application based on Adobe DPS - Library and Store SDK published to the Apple Store. This application works perfectly. I needed to build this same application for android devices and upload to the google play store.
If I choose iOS as my target device in the Adobe DPS App Builder then I select Multi Folio with Entitlement as App type under the Entitlement Details I can set our custom Entitlement server as Service URL.
But if I choose Android as target device, there are no option to set the custom Entitlement server so if I build the application and test on the Android tablet the application shows all the folios as it has no connection with our entitlement server.

I would not recommend touching the standard tables at all unless you are being guided by the SR. For a record to be in the standard table it should go through series of validations based on the what operation you are performing and some times datas are dependent upon the other tables, and also some times the same records are hit to so many other tables simultaneously.
Therefore I would not recommend this brother.

Problems with Direct Entitlement API ( problems to download the issuenumbers and others)

But We are getting some problems

This api is modificated to show only the issuenumbers that I have the right to read.

There is no license or serial number for the DVD installer.
If you can get access to a Mac with a working DVD Drive, make the DVD into a .dmg file in Disk Utility and then copy the .dmg file onto a USB key and install onto your Mac from that.

BRS configuration- Posting directly to customer account

Hi,
I have done BRS configuration and I am able to do clearing, posting to bank charges etc based on configuation when I upload the bank statement thro FF_5.
But I have a new scenario, where while uploading a Bank statement thro FF_5, based on the external transaction type, the system has to post directly to customer account.
Dr Customer Account xxxx
Cr Bank Main account xxxxx
Is it possible in EBS configuration or what is the steps I need to follow to achieve the above entry.

Using the posting rule, it is possible to generate the accounting entry you want, but the problem is how the SAP system will know the entry is for which customer. There is also a std T Code FF68 for the same for manual entries from which accounting entries should be generated the way which you have raised in your first post. For your information, you can have the following user exits in FF_5, where in you can write your code
FEB00003 Customer exit for Finnish bank statement TITO format
FEB00004 Raw data processing, user exit SWIFT MT940
FEB00005 Electronic Banking - Account Statement Object Generatio

U can create/maitain distribution model using BD64.
Or else u can create it using SALE transaction code.
U need to give sender/reciver/msg type.

select the DModel Technical name>add msgtype>
it will ask sender/reciver/msgtype.
pass those parameters and generate partner profiles through environment menu

to maintain or configure the customer distribution model (CDM)
go to tcode BD64.
give the sender address -
you have to mention the logical system name of the sender system. if u r sending one version to other then you have to specify the sender system address,
give the receiver address--- same as above but mention the details of receiver system.
meaintain the message type--- depends upon the type of applicaiton using like MATMAS or ........
do the same procedure again in the reverse way to transer the information from one system to other system and vice versa.
next step is to generate partner profiles.
BD82 is the tcode for it
next distribute CDM.
thats it.

Adobe DPS: Direct Entitlement API Version 2

Hi guys,
I have some questions about Direct Entitlement API Version 2 (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/entitlement/direct-entitlement-api.pdf). Based on the API, SignInWithCredentials and entitlements request body will contain a XML document which contains information like email address, passwords, product IDs and cover dates. I'm able to get the email address and password from the parameter but I could not retrieve the product IDs and cover dates at all. Is it because we do not have a valid Integrator ID from Adobe yet?

Yes, I understand that I need to create a web services for these URLs. My main concern is how can I use Direct Entitlement API Version 2 in Sprint 26 only.
I have listed out the major differences between API version 1 and API version 2. I have also list out how I retrieve the data from my web services.
For SignInWithCredentials URL:
According to API version 1, emailAddress, password, appId, appVersion and uuid are passed in the queries using HTTP GET method. But in API version 2, emailAddress and password are in the request body as a XML document using HTTP POST method.
I built my app in Sprint 26 but I retrieved the emailAddress, password, appId, appVersion and uuid using HTTP GET methods only. My request body and HTTP POST methods are both empty.
For entitlements URL:
According to API version 1, the transaction must be done by HTTP GET method. It does not provide folios' product ID and cover date either. But in API version 2, the transaction must be done by HTTP POST method and it will provide folios' product ID and cover date in the request body as a XML document.
I built my app in Sprint 26 but I retrieved the authToken, appId and appVersion using HTTP GET method only. My request body and HTTP POST method are both empty.
It seems that in my app is still using API version 1. How can I use API version 2 for my app in Sprint 26?

I've created a web service based from the direct entitlement api v2 - http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/entitlement/direct-en titlement-api.pdf
Based from my testing, it passed the specification based from the API document.
All methods were created. The service is a .net web service (.asmx) and methods are below.

What Service URL/Service Auth URL should I be using? I tried using https://<website>/dps/entitlement.asmx/ (with slash) and https://<website>/dps/entitlement.asmx (no slash) but both are not working.
Is there a way I can troubleshoot, like seeing what code from the dps app is consuming the web service to know if it really can connect to the service or see what error might be there?

Thanks for all replies. I was able to figure out what's causing the error using Charles proxy tool. Looking at the errors, pointed me to the issue of the integrator version. I just created the service having the specifications mentioned in the latest version of the integrator. Error 0x80070002 when Task Apply OS has "Access content directly from the distribution point" checked

When I check "Access content directly from the distribution point" for the "Apply Operating System" task in my OSD Task Sequence, I get the failed error 0x80070002 at the step when running the sequence from WinPE.
If I uncheck it, I don't get that error or have any problems.
I've ensured that in the properties of my OS Image in the Data Access that "Copy the content in this package to a package share on distribution points" is checked, and that I Updated DPs.
Am I missing any other settings?
The reason I'm trying to do this is because the "Download" speed of the WIM is incredibly slow. I already installed a hotfix (KB2905002) that fixed this for my Dell systems, but it's not speeding it up for another computer model I'm imaging in
the same way. The Dell computers, after I installed the server hotfix, will downloading the .wim file at 1% per second. However the HP thin clients I'm imaging download at about 1% every 15 seconds, and I'm not sure if that's due to their hardware or what.

The error means file not found. So you need to check the smsts.log to see which DP it is accessing, then go to that DP to check the Shared Folder smspkg to make sure the file is there.
For the download performance issue, there are various reasons. You need to check your Switch bandiwidth and if the NIC driver is up to date. If downloading locally is slow, Accessing directly could be slow too.

How to get "Request Body" in Direct Entitlement API ?

According to the API version 2 (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/entitlement/direct-entitlement-api.pdf), it said the Request Body contain the following xml document specifiying the user credentials

How can I get this xml in PHP? e.g. $_POST['credentials'] or somthing else?
