in direct links section it's possible to navigate to some transaction category: Task, Opportunity, Call etc.
How can i define a link to my Z* transaction type?

is absolutely correct. Stdandard SAP even does the same thing.
Regarding the dump...you can do one thing..try referring
standard infotypes which uses table control like Basic pay infotype 0008.
If you get any help from there then its fine..or just post send the dump analysis (point 3 of dump) to forum i guess from that definitely we can conclude at the reason for dump...

Customized workspace and direct linking failing
Morning,
We are looking to archive the following.
- Customize the theme (colors) in Workspace based on the following PDF.

We were successful in customizing the theme. (We simply changed the background color)
We have are trying to link directly to Workspace base don the following blog. I know this is documented by Adobe also
however I can't find it. Found it for ES2.

When the portal is restarted it will take your authschemesXX.xml file and rename it to authschemesXX.xml.bak. The portal does this for most types of files (.par files, etc.) when it's restarted.

Direct link between planned/production order & Stock transport order
Hello,
We have the following situation.
Plant A = ordering/receiving plant
Plant B = producing/selling plant
Material is stock material in plant A (reorder point planning). If required, plant A creates intercompany purchase order with plant B as vendor.
Standard SAP behaviour: MRP run will create planned order in plant B but there is no direct link between the intercompany purchase order and the planned order. It can as well be that this planned order combines several requirements.
Our requirement: Have a 1 to 1 relationship (and a direct link) between the intercompany purchase order and the planned order (and also with the production order which will be generated afterwards). The solution we think about: After creation of the purchase order, create firmed planned order (or immediately production order) by means of a bapi.
My question is whether there are standard SAP solutions for this?

If it is outside material ,it creates Purchase req and then Purchase order.
if it is company material ,it creates Planned order and then production order.
Check the transaction you will get better idea.

Direct Link to Install OS 9.2?

And is there a direct link to where I can install OS 9.2? That is how I originally installed mine, from a link someone emailed me, once.
I've mentioned this problem already in the Installing OS X folder where, before I could do so, I had a problem with my 9.2; where it took 40 minutes for my desktop to appear after starting up. When I called Apple Tech support, I was told to install OS 9 from a disk which should clear things up. The only one I had was 9.1from when I first bought this Mac so I had to do a clean installation. This did clear the problem with my desktop, but also caused me to lose some things. When I called Apple back, customer service told me to install 9.2, then update my firmware (a link which has already been given to me), before trying to get my Favorites back and my printer re-installed, and then install Tiger which I'd already bought on disks. She also said I could keep 9.2 alongside 10, but I'll see how that goes.
Anyway, if someone knows where I can find this link, I'd really appreciate it. An interesting digression: after installation, I tried getting online. Strangely I was able to connect to my remote access ( I still have dial-up) but couldn't get into any websites! When I called Apple back, they told me to open my TCP/IP box. And it was checked off connecting me to the Ethernet, instead of PPP. When I corrected that, voila! I was able to get into the Internet.
The rep told me to go to Apple support to get the download for 9.2 and offered to email it to me but I said no worry, I'd find it. Well, um, I haven't so if anyone knows where I can find it, I'd appreciate it.Hi, MacMyDrive -
Since you have OS 9.1, you will need only two download updaters, those for OS 9.2.1 and OS 9.2.2. There are no later ones.
OSX does not install on top of OS 9. If OS 9 is already on the drive, OSX will install alongside it - you will have both OS's on the drive, and can boot to either. They are designed to cohabit the same volume, although many folk prefer to partition a drive such that each OS is on its own volume. Doing that make maintenance easier, and, should it ever be needed, re-installing either OS more convenient.
In order to install OSX you will need to acquire the retail package for the base version that you want. There are no free updaters to take OSX 10.2.x to 10.3.x, or OSX 10.3.x to OSX 10.4.x - there's no point in spending money on a version earlier than the final one you want, so get the retail package for the final base version. There are free downlods for incremental updates. For example, if you want to end up at the most current version of OSX 10.4, get the retail package for OSX 10.4. then apply the download update for OSX 10.4.11.
Before installing OSX, be sure your machine is prepared for it.
Since your G4 can run OS 9.1, it is one of the models that needs a firmware update before installing OSX. You can download the appropriate one from this Apple webpage -

You will need to install the firmware update while OS 9 is still available on the drive (the installer runs only when the machine is booted to OS 9). This can be done using the old drive or the new one.
You will need to have adequate RAM in the machine. OSX 10.3 and earlier require a minimum of 128MB of RAM; double that is more realistic. OSX 10.4 requires a minimum of 256MB of RAM; double that is more realistic. The more RAM, the better. Your G4 can hold at least 1.5GB of RAM; the G4 (AGP) and G4 (GE) models can hold 2.0GB of RAM.
Plan on leaving at least 5GB of free space on the drive after OSX has been installed - this will be used by OSX for temporary swap files, its implementation of virtual memory, and defragging on the fly.
I would recommend not installing OSX until you get the new drive. -
URL link to open transaction in NWBC Desktop client

I am trying to create an URL link to open a transaction in a role that I am using.
The webpage is shown in a web-chip as a part of FPM page inthe NWBC desktop client.
I have tried this type of concept: https://serverXX:8000/sap/bc/nwbc/~canvas/roleEntry/MyROLE:56/
The problem is that this opens the transaction in the HTML version of NWBC (inside NWBC desktop client).
However, I would do not want to use the HTML based version of the transaction. I want to use nativ abap transaction inside NWBC Desktop client.
I am able to open the transaction with a link from a webbrowser with this type of link:
sap-nwbc://https://serverXX:8000/sap/bc/nwbc/~canvas/roleEntry/MyROLE:56/
This link does not open at all from within NWBC....

Same issue i have as well.
My Understanding is, in NWBC desktop, if you open a non sap (eg: html) page, NWBC becomes an IE Browser.
That means you are now out of SAP for that tab (with html page) and whenever you try to launch any SAP transaction (using the method from HTML) it will launch in a new window and ask for Login.
May be Experts like Samuli Kaski & Melinda Ludanyi can put some light on it.
But, I have one more solution for this which is partially working in my case. May be helpful in you case as well.
Issue: From some SAP transaction in NWBC (say tab A), you are launching the html page (say tab B) and then want to launch another SAP transaction (Say tab C) from html.
Solution: Embed the HTML in SAP using HTML Viewer class and launch SAP custom transaction using the interface IF_LSAPI. It will launch it in new tab as a sap transaction with your html page.
Now if you want to launch the SAP transaction from your html page (Which is embedded in SAP custom transaction) you can use HTML Viewer class Events and you can pass parameters as well. Re use the same interface IF_LSAPI and launch it in new tab
In my case i am facing problems as the web developer has so many things on java script and they are not working properly. He is working on it and i am hoping it will be fine.

Poor Speedgrade performance using premiere's Direct Link
I am having a problem grading my project in Speedgrade using Direct Link from Premiere.
My project is in total 7min 30sec long consisting of MP4 video from my Canon T5i/700D. Video had a slightly higher bitrate (CBR) than usual (1.4 maybe?). In premiere I have done a bit of stabilizing using after effects (warp stabilizer) and denoising (magic bullet denoiser II) . All of these I used the 'replace with after effects composition' option. These shots make up about 1/6th of the total sequence. All my project files are located on my SSD (I thought moving them there would help. It doesn't). worth noting I am also using a custom LUT designed for CineStyle which I'm using on my canon.
My problem is the speed. It's not even a little slow. It's unusable. Let's say I select midtones and want to up the offset a tiny bit. I click the slider and slowly move my hand up. I then have to wait around 10 - 15 seconds for speedgrade to even start recognising the change. If I let go the mouse it means I have to wait again a long time to change it once again. It's the same for all the other sliders (color temp etc.)
I've grown to like using Speedgrade for color correction but now it's taking far too long. What should take around 20 seconds per clip is taking around 5 - 10 minutes. Also as a result my correction and grading is gotten pretty bad (it wasn't that good to start off with). Restarting it doesn't help as it's just as slow when it starts as an hour later.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas?
As I'm in a bit of a rush with this project I'm going to try just do the grading in Premiere. I've never done grading in the CC version of premiere, so is there any new color tools someone could recommend?

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 512 GBLooking through your gear for a quick idea ... it appears you're running twin (separate) video cards? You might try a quick disable of one card, and see if Sg runs better. I suggest this because 1) some computers at some times have had trouble running paired vid cards in Sg and 2) it's a quick & easy thing to test.
As another thought, I did some denoising on a 2:39 clip in Ae just using its own built-in denoiser, and it ran s l o w after that until I did a complete render of it. Even then, any change I made and it was back to s l o w motion. When I commented here, I had a couple responses to the effect that denoising is so hardware-intensive that most of the time they left that to the final set of things before exporting.
Hope there's other responses ...

Transaction Launcher to call custom transaction

I have a requirement where i need to call a custom transaction using transaction launcher. I am able to successfully launch the transaction. But i need to pass a value to the transaction.
For eg. If i am calling a custom report transaction which has a selection screen field 'FORMNAME' as a parameter i need to pass the name of the form to the transaction. I am not able to pass that value. Can any one help me onthis.
I have seen all the posts , but could not get any help on how to set the value for custom transaction. I can see how it is done for standard transaction.

1) Defined logical system in tcode CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS
-The logical link looks like this

Can you try this way:
You need to modify the structure ( node ) that you want to modify using transaction SIMGH. First you need to go to transaction SIMGH.
In the IMG structure just press f4 -> you need to give the title of the structure that needs to be edited. f8. Then you can modify the structure -> insert node.
You need to give the node text.
After creating the node, click on the node and select insert activity.
In the ID field give an entry, Give the description in 'name'.

Upload images or use direct link to theme directory ?

I work with APEX 3.2 and Oracle 10g r2, on Windows XP.
I use my own CSS file, uploaded using Shared Components > Cascading Style Sheets > Create+, I added the link in the header section of the desired templates.
I want to define an image as "background-image" in my CSS file, but my images were uploaded using Shared Components > Images > Create+, so I have to use #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# but it's impossible in the CSS file !
Do i have to modify the template directly like that :
*<div style="background-image:url(#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#header.png)\></div\>*
or should I use direct links to my theme directory in my CSS file like that :
*#headerstyle{background-image:url(header.png)}*
For the moment I use the first solution, both work but I want to know which one is better, for me it would be better to have a separate file with all the CSS, whithout any CSS in the code. Nevertheless I think it's better to upload images instead of store them in the theme directory, no ?

If you are making extensive use of CSS, creating custom themes etc and you have access to the web server file system then the best approach is to move all CSS and images there (but using a different directory structure from that supplied by APEX).
If just making minor customisations, or you are restricted to workspace repository storage, then CSS rules referencing #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# or #APP_IMAGES# need to go into the page HTML Header or page template. -

1. Change field status of Customer Account group:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data > Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)
a. Choose your customer group, choose General data tab, choose Control tab, change status of "Vendor" field to Optional.
b. Choose your customer group, choose Company code data tab, choose Payment Transactions, change status of "Clearing with vendor" to Optional.
2. Change field status per Activities:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data > Define Screen Layout per Activity (Customers)
NOTE: you have to change the status of necessary fields in all activities (Create, Change, Display) in all level (Accounting, Centrally)

- In vendor master data, you have to fill the customer code in "Customer" field and tick on "Clearing with cus" checkbox

Then, post transaction as normal.
Check report:
You can check all items in report FBL1N or FBL5N.
Example: inFBL1N - Vendor Line Item Display, in the selection screen, you tick on "Customer items" checkbox, the report will show all items, even though you post in Vendor or Customer size.
Do the same with FBL5N.

Requirement :Automatic updation of Custom Transactional Data R/3 to APO Auto Transfer like Normal PO Changes Reflection
While working with Core Interface The Standard Transactional Data is getting updated to APO Directly for PO Qty Changes.
But I have written code in the R/3 User Exit to Calculate the Open Target Quantity and Transfer the Values to APO through the Structure .
It is Populating the values and updating in the ZTable of APO [User Exit] only when we activate and De-activate the Integration Model thru CFM3 Manually.
Could you advise and provide the info for solution if you have come across the same scenario .

We are pretty new on BSP. Would be very appreciated if any expert here give us the detailed steps on how to build up the application to just call a custom transaction (e.g., t-code: ztest) or an ABAP program. Would we have to create a button or event handler to do that? And the detailed steps?

I have created a custom transaction for Goods Issue based on the standard transaction MB26.
Now, I want to add this custom transaction, in the list of transactions available in tcode OMCP.
But, I don't see any option in OMCP to add a new Z-transaction.
Please let me know how can my requirement be achieved.
