Hi please suggest how link vendor & customer lagers. please also suggested which T code use for linking in SAP with process note.

Hi Arnav,
There are some pre-requisite configuration:
1. Change field status of Customer Account group:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data > Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)
a. Choose your customer group, choose General data tab, choose Control tab, change status of "Vendor" field to Optional.
b. Choose your customer group, choose Company code data tab, choose Payment Transactions, change status of "Clearing with vendor" to Optional.
2. Change field status per Activities:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data > Define Screen Layout per Activity (Customers)
NOTE: you have to change the status of necessary fields in all activities (Create, Change, Display) in all level (Accounting, Centrally)
a. Choose General data tab, choose Control tab, change status of "Vendor" field to Optional.
b. Choose Company code data tab, choose Payment Transactions, change status of "Clearing with vendor" to Optional.
3. Change field status of Vendor Account group:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Vendor Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data > Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors)
a. Choose your vendor group, choose General data tab, choose Control tab, change status of "Customer" field to Optional.
b. Choose your customer group, choose Company code data tab, choose Payment Transactions, change status of "Clearing with customer" to Optional.
4. Change field status per Activities:
Path: IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Vendor Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data > Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors)
NOTE: you have to change the status of necessary fields in all activities (Create, Change, Display) in all level (Accounting, Centrally)
a. Choose General data tab, choose Control tab, change status of "Customer" field to Optional.
b. Choose Company code data tab, choose Payment Transactions, change status of "Clearing with customer" to Optional.
Business process:
- In vendor master data, you have to fill the customer code in "Customer" field  and tick on "Clearing with cus" checkbox
- In customer master data, you have to fill the vendor code in "Vendor" field and tick on "Clearing with vendor" checkbox.
Then, post transaction as normal.
Check report:
You can check all items in report FBL1N or FBL5N.
Example: inFBL1N - Vendor Line Item Display, in the selection screen, you tick on "Customer items" checkbox, the report will show all items, even though you post in Vendor or Customer size.
Do the same with FBL5N.

Julie

  • How to populate custom fields in SAP standard Basic type DELFOR01(E1EDK09)

I've a requirement to include and populate 2 custom fields in SAP standard basic type DELFOR01 and Segment E1EDK09 (it is at hierarchy level 1 ) .
The requirement looks very simple but for this, as per my knowledge, I have to create a new  Basic type with the copy of segment E1EDK09 and attach it to outbound process code and write my own function module to populate the segments.
It seems ok but the there are some existing codes in the user-exits for the SAP standard function module. These codes will not get triggered.(Or I've copy the user-exits code in my FM)
Can we do it any other way to handle this kind of situation?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help.

    Hi Phani,
You have done it correctly. ECC additional data to be moved to EWM, 1. you need to enhance the CIF for master data/ bapi  to populate the data in the custom field in EWM. 2. Make your your are not enhancing only one structure. You need to do it in the CI includes so that the field is available in all the related tables/structures.
    3. The BAPI/FM which updated these tables will take care automatically to update the custom field data if the field is correctly added in all the tables.
    4. If the custom fields are added correctly and still the data is not getting saved , then need to check the mapping of the custom field and bepi extension.
Let me know if this helps.

  • How to relate Customer UOM with SAP UOM

    Hi SAP Gurus
I wanted to to relate Non-SAP customer's UOM with our SAP UOM.
    For example:
Customer1 has PAK mean PAC (in SAP)
Customer2 has PAB means PAC (in SAP)
How to do that? Thanks for your inputs...
Edited by: Harpal Singh on Mar 30, 2010 10:34 PM

    Hi,
You can achieve this in transformation by writing a routine.
Logic would be something like this
If non-sap customer UOM = PAB
       non-sap cusomer UOM = PAC
Before doing this you need to make sure that all your non sap UOM's should correspond to correct SAP UOM's
    Thanks

  • How to Transfer Customizing Data from SAP ECC6 to SAP Solution Manager

    Hi all,
I want to Transfer Customizing Data (such as organization structure) from SAP ECC6 to SAP Solution Manager. Please tell me how. Thanks.

    Hi,
The system cannot capture the customizing data from your ECC6. This is another myth with SAP Solution Manager. Solution Manager can only smoothen the process of your Project Management.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Feel free to revert back.

  • Vendor/Customer Account re-grouping

    Hi All,
How to Vendor/Customer Account re-grouping through the adjustment accounts?
    Thankyou!!
    Ramakanth

    Hello Ramakanth,
Could you help me with these questions on the configuration of valuation method assigned to valuation area:-
    1. Significance of "determine exchange rate type from act bal" and "determine exchange rate type from invoice reference". How is exchange rate type determined at account balance? Is it that for regrouping of customer / vendor accounts it is required to detrmine exchange rate type from account balance?
    2. What is the significance of valuation area in regrouping? Can i not use the same valuation method mapped to valuation area as configured for foreign currency valuation i.e EVR (standard SAP)?
    3. What are the valuation method settings for US GAAP and IFRS for regrouping?
    Thanks

  • How to create custom(or) user defined component in SAPTAO

    Hi,
Please provide me some document or steps on how to create custom component in sap tao.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudha

    Hi,
If you want create any custom components, you should use SAP QTP to create it.
    Here are the simple steps:
    i) Go to QTP -> Click on New - > Select Scripted Component - > ((Select SAP_Doc) area (i.e. whatever application area you have created for SAP TAO installation)) -> Record or Write a script based on your requirement & save
ii) Go to QC -> BPT -> open above component and insert the parameters and call these values in QTP script level (either way you can do)
iii)  Create a datasheet and declare the parameters in datasheet and call this sheet whenever you have required.
    Good luck.

  • How to key in the trading partner Business Area field in Vendor/Customer?

    Hello, SAP pros,
I want to ask how to key in the trading partner business area for vendor / customer reconciliation account? We know we can set the default trading partner BA in the document header (Tcode: FB01). But according to our testing, such value in this field will be default to normal G/L account like bank, cash..., but not for the reconciliation account. And even we do not key in the value in the trading partner business area in the document header, we can not find a way to key in the trading partner business area directly in the document line item for Vendor / Customer line (even the posting key and the field status for the reconciliation account is set to optional / mandatory).
    Any experts have idea?
    many thanks,
    daniel

    Hi!
Ensure Your BP Currency is marked to EUR or All Currency
Add the OB for BP by keying Amount in FC curreny, if your BP currency is different from LC else Key in the Amount in LC currency.
If Exchange Rate is not updated for EUR means system will automatically pop the window. Give the Exchange Rate and Add the OB.
Now all the three Currencys LC,SC and FC will be updated for your BP.

  • Not able to link Vendor and Customer

I have created a vendor (V) and customer (C) without linking.
Now when I edit the customer to associate vendor to it - when i add the vendor in 'Vendor' field and when saving it is giving error saying Vendor V is not linked to Customer C. This is happening other way round also. When I am creating Vendor and trying to give customer C in 'Customer' field, it is giving error - Customer C is not linked to Vendor V.
What is happening here ? Am I doing anything wrong ? Which one to create first ? How exactly to associate ?

    Hi,

  • How will vendor debit balance turn into a customer receivable?

How will vendor debit balance turn into a customer receivable?

Broadly, you can use the standard special G/L indicator (A)for down payment given in the configuration.
You create a separate Recon account for vendor or customer as the case may be. This is for Down payment. In configuration, you link the new recon account to the Special GL.
While transacting, you call for the down payment special G/L indicator and make a posting. This posting will not be directly visible in FBL5N or FBL1N, unless you check the special G/L check box.
OBYR is used to defining the Recon account for vendor down payment.
OBXR is used to defining the Recon account for customer down payment.

  • How to find CUSTOMER EXIT for a Standard SAP program

How to find CUSTOMER EXIT for a Standard SAP program

    Hi
To introduce the techniques of enhancement in standard SAP system. SAP creates customer exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard R/3 applications. These exits do not contain any functionality. Instead, the customer exits act as hooks. You can hang your own add-on functionality onto these hooks.
They do not affect standard SAP source code.
When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, you do not alter the source code of standard SAP programs in any way. The code and screens you create are encapsulated as separate objects. These customer objects are linked to standard applications, but exist separately from SAP’s standard software package.
They do not affect software updates.
When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, your objects (called customer objects) must adhere to strict naming conventions. When it comes time to upgrade a to a new software release, customer objects’ names ensure that they will not be affected by any changes or new additions to the standard software package.
Customer exits are not available for all programs and screens found in the SAP System.
Any change made to an SAP object in a customer system is called a modification. Customers usually modify their systems for one of two reasons. Either they make changes to the SAP standard in order to adjust the R/3 System to their specific business needs (actual modifications), or they alter individual SAP objects in order to correct an error (as recommended in an SAP error note).
You should only modify the SAP standard if the modifications you want to make are absolutely necessary for optimizing work flow in your company. Be aware that good background knowledge of application structure and flow are important prerequisites for deciding what kind of modifications to make and how these modifications should be designed.
SAP application programmers create SAP enhancements in transaction SMOD using function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits.
Customers are given a catalog containing an overview of existing SAP enhancements. They can then combine the SAP enhancements they want into an enhancement project using transaction CMOD.
SAP enhancements are made up of component parts. These components include function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits. A specific component may be used only once in a single SAP enhancement (this guarantees the uniqueness of SAP enhancements).
Customer enhancement projects consist of SAP enhancements. Each individual SAP enhancement may be used only once in a single customer enhancement program (this guarantees the uniqueness of a customer project).
SAP application programmers preplan function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits for their applications and combine them to create useful enhancements for the R/3 System.
Customers create their own enhancement projects for their systems using SAP enhancements. You can customize the individual components of an enhancement project by creating your own include programs (for function module exits), texts (for menu exits), and subscreens (for screen exits).
