Director and Server Console Throw Error on Start

Hi all,
It seems that out of the blue we are now experiencing errors whenever we try to open director or server console. The error that we are shown is:
handler feature warm up
We have tried restoring the server backups from a day that it was known to be working. It acted as a temporary solution. There have been no changes to the system configuration or code base, and we then get the error again after a few hours.
Any thoughts on what the issue may be?

This one works for me too.
But I'm still wondering why this work for me for couple of months without this element in web.xml and now suddenly need it.
Problem noticed in eclipse + tomcat so I figured that must be some changes in that configuration that causes need for declaring this listener in web.xml

• Lost user profile and disk0s2: I/O error during start up in safe mode

My almost 2 year old Mac Book Pro (10.7.5) started lagging and rainbow spiraling last week and now it usually doesn't make it to the login page after boot up. It stays on the gray apple screen until I hold the power button to power it off.
If it makes it to the login page, after 10-20 minutes on the gray apple screen, my primary user profile is not there but the standadr guest user and my blank student user are still there and do work with many rainbow spirals interruptions.
I started it in safe mode and have also tried starting it with command-option-p-r to reset the PRAM and it went through the double start up sounds but still did not load my primary user profile on the login screen, still after a very long boot up process.
I then started it up in safe mode and watched the progress it seemed to run cleanly through lines and lines of code until it hit a bunch of lines of "disk0s2: I/O error" ...
Are my computer's brains toast??? I just did a Time Machiene back up to an external hard drive as few days ago ... but what needs to be done with my computer?

"disk0s2: I/O error" ...
This indicates a disk failure, though a hardware failure involving the connection between the HD and logic board is also a remote possibility. If you are able to successfully repair it with Disk Utility, it will probably recur.
Replace the disk and restore from your Time Machine backup. Hard disks are not expensive and it's easy enough to replace it yourself.

Michael,
No offence, but I think you may have posted to the wrong forum. This forum is for the Oracle (database embedded) JVM -- not for WebLogic.
While I don't use WebLogic, I'm sure there are WebLogic forums around. Do you know about this one:

Hi Guus,
We are not using the new authorizations we are still on 3.5 authorization and we tried for an user with SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW authorization , so i am not sure if this is an authorization problem.
We have a new issue on hand, initially i was able to broadcast thru xml,mhtml, xml formats, yesterday our portal was down, when the portal was brought up, i found that even the ones that were working were now throwing an error.
I spoke with the basis person, and he told me user mappings were lost, but even after restoring the user mapping were restored we still have the problem.
If this error is caused by lack of new authorization, atleast we know what we are dealing with, but for now iam not sure if this error is due to authorization or some settings on the web server side.

Could u clarify something for me please Philip..
When I installed Tomcat it came with sub directories of the webapps directory; eg: ROOT, examples, etc..Each of these directories contains another folder/directory; WEB-INF. In everyone of these WEB-INF folders exists a web.xml file.
Must I therefore create a web.xml in every WEB-INF folder that is in a sub-folder of the webapps folder???
eg: webapps->intranet->WEB-INF ....must there be a web.xml file in this directory?
If so, what content does it hold....?
I can still use my web application just fine....but still so, this error irritates me .......
any assistance from anyone will be appreciated..

• Windows 7 and Server 2003 security errors

I have a domain with a 2003 DC and 2012 DC. There is one Windows 7 PC on the network that is not domain joined. On the 2003 DC the Security log has a lot of errors about Failed Login and the source IP is the non-domain joined PC. These same errors do
not appear on the 2012 DC.
I've looked at the PC and I'm quite certain there is no infection that is causing this. I ran netstat -ab on the PC and it showed 2 entries in the list that pertain to the server.
TCP 192.168.1.112:49405 server:epmap  ESTABLISHED [spoolsv.exe]
TCP 192.168.1.112:49547 server:epmap  ESTABLISHED [spoolsv.exe]
The 2003 DC does not have any printers installed on it as the 2012 DC is the print server. So I'm trying to figure out why the 2003 DC is getting all these failed logons and what the netstat entries on the PC have to do with it.
I don't think any harm is being one but there must be a lot of useless network traffic being generated by this as the errors on the DC are very numerous.
Jonathan

Hi SmallBizAdmin,
The details in Security log might be helpful for us to narrow down where the problem is, the best way is that refer to timeline in your error log and perform a network monitor on your client then find that why your Windows 7 computer keep trying access to
your Domain controller.
for the specific Windows Client, you could perform a clean boot and check if this issue still persists.
Since you mentioned that it showed 2 entries in the list that pertain to the server, and it’s for the spoolsv.exe. Check if spoolsv.exe is working properly on your client machine or you can reset it for good measure.
To reset your spool service:
In the right pane of the Services.msc locate and right-click on Print Spooler and then select Stop.
After you have stopped this process, leave the Service window open. Now open My Computer and navigate to the following folder.
%windows%\system32\spool\PRINTERS
Delete all the files in the Printers folder. After deleting the files in this folder, go back to Services window, right-click on Print Spooler, and then select start to re-enable the service.
Regards
Unfortunately a clean boot isn't possible. The PC is a ways away and this issue isn't critical enough to warrant a trip onsite.
I did restart the spool service on the PC and checked the PRINTERS folder but I didn't see any files there.
The failed audit events in the server's security log that are generated by this PC are 529 and 680 and they repeat over and over. There are 16 per minute, 8 529's and 8 680's. So you can how the Security log contains a lot more failed audit events
than normal. Since those events pertain to logon, I'm not certain how it ties to the spooler service on the PC. The PC is mapped directly by IP to two printers near it so it shouldn't need to authenticate with this 2003 DC at all. DHCP is handled
by the 2012 DC but it doesn't have any failed audit entries from the PC.
So I'm not sure if the netstat entries on the PC pertaining to spoolsve.exe have anything to do with the constant 529/680 failed audits on the server or not but so far that's all I can find on the PC that show any reference to the 2003 DC.

• Outlook 2010 "Server is unavailable" error when starting remote app

All,
I have recently built and configured a new server to run Remote Desktop Services. It in on Server 2008 R2 Standard 64-bit.
I have published numerous applications (e.g. Adobe, Visio, Project, etc. as well as Office 2010) to the host server. Everything works with the exception of Outlook 2010 (client of an Exchange 2010 server). When I or any of my users try to bring
it up in the RDS portal, it goes through the normal start-up of any Outlook first use and looks for an existing email account. As it is trying to load the user profile, an error pops up saying "The server is unavailable." Clicking "Retry" does
not work at all.
When I run Outlook directly from the RDS host server itself, it loads up and runs fine so I know the RDS server can contact the Exchange server.
Any ideas on why the Outlook application works on the host server but will not work when trying to run it through the RDS Web Access portal?
Thanks.

You're probably running into this issue:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2596960
There are a couple of patches that you need to install and then a registry key that you have to add.

ok, fixed it.
Putting the dtd on a machine that it can see solved it... would be nice if the doc mentioned that your test machine (the one that it warns is insecure as everything is installed as root etc etc) needs to have outgoing internet access...

Can someone see anything obviously wrong with this? "Application Server 8.1 Servlet 2.4//EN" is suspicious given In don't have app server...
Ideas? This was supposed to be a quick setup :-)

ok, fixed it.
Putting the dtd on a machine that it can see solved it... would be nice if the doc mentioned that your test machine (the one that it warns is insecure as everything is installed as root etc etc) needs to have outgoing internet access...
Ho hum.
Oddly, requesting that dtd from sun gives a 500 - using:

I'm getting this error message when trying to use a RemoteObject that ties to ZendAMF server class.
This is the RemoteObject:
[Bindable]
private var companyResults:ArrayCollection;
private function findAll_companyServiceHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
this.companyResults = new ArrayCollection(event.result as Array);
Alert.show(this.companyResults.length.toString());
for (var i:uint = 0; i < this.companyResults.length; i++)
Alert.show(CompanyVO(this.companyResults[i]).name);
protected function button1_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
this.leadlawService.CompanyAmfService.findAll();
this.leadlawService.findAll();
protected function leadlawService_faultHandler(event:FaultEvent):void
Alert.show(event.message.toString());

</fx:Script>
<fx:Declarations>
<s:RemoteObject
id="leadlawService"
destination="zend"
showBusyCursor="true"
fault="leadlawService_faultHandler(event)"
>
<s:method name="findAll" result="findAll_companyServiceHandler(event)" />
</s:RemoteObject>
</fx:Declarations>
And here's the corresponding controller code using Zend Framework:
<?php
* ServicesController
* @author
* @version
require_once 'Zend/Controller/Action.php';
class ServicesController extends Zend_Controller_Action
public function init()
$this->_helper->viewRenderer->setNoRender();
public function amfAction()
$server = new Zend_Amf_Server();
$server->addDirectory(APPLICATION_PATH . '/services/');
echo $server->handle();
And here the class that is in the services directory:
<?php
require_once APPLICATION_PATH . '/models/CompanyVO.php';
class CompanyAmfService
* @return array
public function findAll()
$results = array();
$companyVO = new CompanyVO();
$companies = $companyVO->fetchAll($companyVO->select());
foreach ($companies as $company)
array_push($results, $company);
return $results;
And here the CompanyVO model class:
<?php
class CompanyVO extends Zend_Db_Table
protected $_name = "company";
public $_explicitType = "CompanyVO";
public $id;
public $name;
Everything appears to look in order, and I tried to create my code according to the example in ZendAMF documentation. Can anyone see what is amiss here?
Thanks for all your help!
~Mike
Update 1:
I forgot to add my services-config.xml:

<services-config>
<services>
<service id="zend-service" class="flex.messaging.services.RemotingService" messageTypes="flex.messaging.messages.RemotingMessage">
<destination id="zend">
<channels>

</channels>
<properties>
*
</properties>
</destination>
</service>
</services>
<channels>
<channel-definition id="zend-endpoint" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
<endpoint uri="http://[servername]/development/" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint" />
</channel-definition>
</channels>
</services-config>

End point in the Services-config.xml will be like
https://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amf
not url: 'http://[servername]/development/'"
also find out if the libraries are in the right path for the ZendAMF(i'm from java background so, we have libraries)
