Director and Vista

I'd like to hear what problems (if any) Vista users are
having authoring in Director. Would you share those troubles with
me, and the fixes/patches, workarounds you have found for them?
Thank you!
Dewey

Hi Sean,
I create a folder and copy files into this folder either in Program Files for PC or Applications for Mac. Works well for Windows 2000 to XP and Mac OSX.
A client using Vista is having difficulty but is unclear as to exactly what is happening. I'm thinking it may simply be permissions.
This is code I use to detect the platform and create the folder:
if the platform contains "Mac" then
    filePath = baSysFolder("apps") & gFolder
  end if
if the platform contains "Windows" then
    filePath = baSysFolder("program files") & gFolder
  end if
This is the code I use to save files into the folder:
CDdrive = (the moviePath) & "FileDir"
  set copyFrom = CDdrive
  set copyTo = field ("SaveTo")
  cursor 4
set checkStatus = baXCopy(copyFrom, copyTo, "*.*", "Always", false)
  if checkStatus = 0 then
delete line 1 of member "ExField"
  end if

  • Director MX and Vista strangeness

some people have already posted about this problem i know,
but i can't find any solutions (i'm probably too angry to look
    properly).
so... i have Director MX 2004 V10.1 and Vista Home Premium.
i've been happily using Director MX to create and edit my files for
the last few months. but today it has decided to stop working. i
can't drag and drop things from the cast to the stage or the score.
i can't move sprites to different channels in the score. and after
a re-install i can't even 'break' the cast window away from the
score window to re-arrange my workspace. but aside from that, it
    seems to work ok.
i've installed nothing new. done no windows updates. no
driver updates. i've tried every combination of running as admin,
turning off aero, desktop composition etc. no difference.
can anyone help me please? thanks. +____+ jamie

  • Windows XP Pro (32-bit) and Vista Ultimate (64-bit) on the same Mac Pro HD?

Has anyone been able to install both Windows XP Pro (32-bit) and Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit) on the same dedicated Windows hard drive? I have four HD in my Mac Pro, and one of them is dedicated for Windows (and bootable via Boot Camp). I found the following technical articles about installing Windows XP & Vista on the same hard drive (using two separate partitions) using a VMWare machine as the test system:
    http://apcmag.com/howto_dual_boot_vista_and_xp_with_vista_installed_first__the_stepbystepguide.htm
    http://apcmag.com/howto_dualboot_vista_with_xp__stepbystep_guide_withscreenshots.htm
Has anyone successfully installed Windows XP (32-bit) and Vista 64-bit) on the same NTFS partition?
I already have Windows XP Pro (32-bit) SP3 installed on my single NTFS hard drive. I am looking for the best way to add the Vista 64-bit installation on the same hard drive.
Any thoughts and advise are appreciated.

Windows has its own list of boot OSs, and default, from msconfig. It will sit and wait for xx-seconds on startup in Windows if you want to boot from an alternate.
As to whether Apple's OS Switcher (aka startup disk bootcamp control panel or tray icon) sees both, I had Windows Home Premium and Ultimate 64, and pretty sure OS X saw both. That was pre-Leopard and before there were 64-bit Apple drivers.
I can't think of any scenerio of wanting to mix 32-bit and 64-bit on the same paritition, you realize you can't install the one over the other and must do a clean install.
When I added a partition out of main partition (I wanted to put search index and page file on their own partition) those partitions aren't seen - are hidden - to Leopard.

  • Firefox mage quality and resolution was superb when I used XP and Vista. Now that I have Windows 7, however (with the Firefox 3.6.3 version), the image quality and resolution is poor. Please help me!

I am using the Firefox 3.6.3 version with my new Windows 7 operating system. When I used all the previous Firefox versions in my XP and Vista operating systems, image quality and resolution was excellent! However, now that I have upgraded to Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.3, the image quality and resolution is poor (unacceptable for downloading purposes).
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I first activated my new computer and installed the Firefox 3.6.3.

All my images are pixelated in firefox 3.6.3
    http://www.dcgdcreative.com
Not only on my site but on most sites I view.
The issue is not solved by resetting the zoom text view (ctrl+0)
The issue is not resolved by starting in safemode with add-ons disabled
The problem seems to only affect .jpeg files and only on Windows 7 on my desktop; as I have viewed several sites using windows XP with my laptop, no issues.
I had the same issue with IE8 and was able to fix the problem with by setting up the compatibility view for all sites. Issue fixed no problems at all. But nothing similar for firefox?
    Whats the deal?

  • Using VMWare Fusion and Vista for NetFlix Watch Now

Hi, I have installed Fusion and Vista in order to use NetFlix's Watch Now feature on my MBA. The installation was easy and Vista seems to be working fine. However, I can't get the Watch Now movie going. The film will start (after NetFlix determines my internet speed, etc.) and alternate between play and pause. Has anyone used this combination with success? Would a downgrade to XP work better? Or I should just use Boot Camp? Thanks.

I've used WinXP with Fusion on a MacMini and it was fine (but faster in BootCamp). I'm currently running Vista Business on a MacBook Pro in Parallels and while it isn't slow, it certainly is slower than in BootCamp. I expect Fusion would run Vista a bit faster - Fusion does tend to be a bit faster than Parallels but Parallels seems to get along better than Fusion with one of the applications I'm using.
There are advantages to BootCamp and BC isn't incompatible with virtualization. I suggest that you go ahead and install Vista in BootCamp. If you haven't already bought Fusion, download the demo and see how it runs using the BootCamp installation and compare that to BootCamp itself. Then decide.

  • P1006 - networked with XP and VIsta-64 not printing more than 2 pages

Hello - I have a dilemma with my HP P1006.  I have the printer directly plugged in (USB) with my XP (32bit) PC.  I have a Vista-64 PC networked with it.  Both (XP-32 and Vista-64) are plugged in directly to the router (not wireless).  My question is why can I not print more than two pages at a time with items opened on the Vista-64 PC?  I CAN print more than two pages with items opened in the XP-32.
    Things I've done:
1 - uninstalled everything & reinstalled the latest drivers for the XP-32.
2 - marked the printer as "sharing" on the XP-32.
3 - confirmed the printer is marked "enable bidirectional sharing" under the printer properties on the XP-32 PC.
    Things I perplexed about:
1 - why won't items (docs, webpages, etc.) print more than two pages at a time from the Vista-64 PC?
2 - is there any reason that I should download a driver for the Vista-64 OS? If so, which PC do I download it to?
3 - I have another printer (Lexmark inkjet) connected in the same way (except it is a serial port not USB) and it can print more than two pages of a document at one time with no problem from either the XP-32 or Vista-64 PC?  Why?
Any thoughts on this situation?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciate.
    Thank you - Jane.

    Hi!
I just get a system message at teh bottom of teh screen saying "output cannot be issued " and it remains on teh same screen . I goto t-code va23 and enter my quotation number and on the top I select sales document ...issue output and select my output type and print preview or prnit , it comes out of that screen into the first screen and at the bottom gives msg "Output cannot be issued". I beleiev its not allowing the smartform to display when there are more than 2 pages , because I tried it with a contact which has 2 pages and it shows output but when I try with the one having more items i.e more than 2 pages it comes out of it . Its a smartform issue and something in the smartform is causing problem I beleive.

  • ITunes 7.1 and Vista

Have brand new HP pc with Vista factory installed with 4 gig ram, 1 terabyte hard disk, duoCore Intel Processor.
The new iTunes crashes Vista often all the way to a blue screen of death and trashes it's own database. Using the little widget that shows CPU usage, iTunes when it runs, by itself consumes 70-90% of the processor time (I think its the search function in idle). Love iTunes but it just doesn't play nice with Vista still!

wow! Thats a beast of a PC. I am jealous! This may help you out some:

  • Satellite M40-225 and Vista PCMCIA driver

I lost my original disks for my M40 so bought a copy of Vista to install on my computer, when I first installed it the computer would not start up so I looked on the internet and it seems there is a conflict with the PCMCIA drivers and Vista. I followed the advice on the forum and managed to get vista to load by deleting all the files relating to the PCMCIA drivers.
Vista now loads but I am unable to find update drivers to get the PCMCIA slot running. I use this port for my wireless internet has the internal one was very slow with my router. Ive tried downloading the drivers from Toshiba but there is no Vista ones. Ive reinstalled the originals but they still dont work although Vista now loads. Does anyone know of a solution to my problem?
    Thanks Steve

    Hi
First of all the M4 I dont understand why there is a conflict between the PCMCIA drivers and Vista!
The drivers are included in the Vista OS so how did you remove such drivers and how did you install the Vista on this notebook?
Furthermore the notebook supports the PC card slot and you can use the PCMCIA R2.01, PC Card 16(multi-function card) and PCMCIA 32bit cards. The BIOS controls this slot.
Maybe you have to update the BIOS before you will install the Vista on this unit!!!

Message Edited by TeMpL on 07-09-2008 07:29 PM

    Hi there!
Please see  this thread for the download links for the Fingerprint Software 5.8 ....
This issue was already raised in the ThinkVantage subforum here at Lenovo Forums and it is resolved.
Regarding the Turbo Memory, please keep in mind that the hardware only works with Vista. Windows XP does not support turbo memory thus the piece of hardware is rendered useless. With regards to Turbo Memory usage in Vista, the latest drivers do fully support the card in Vista and since there are no technological changes, there is no need for additional or new drivers.
    Hope this helps!

  • EMIEsitelist and EMIEuserlist hidden directories and dat-files

    2014-04-05
    Cross-posted from
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-security/erniesitelist-and-ernieuserlist/00407bd2-e349-423c-a8e5-cb6127840ea5
Original Post dated April 21, 2014
    EmieSiteList and EmieUserList
    Microsoft Security - Privacy Concerns
I found two unknown directories on my PC in my user profile.  I have, so far, been unable to identify what put them there, which process owns them, and when I delete them (using Admin escalated privileges) they come back after a few minutes or immediately
    after reboot.
         c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\local\EmieSitelist\container.dat
         c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\local\EmieUserlist\container.dat
         C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieSiteList\container.dat
         C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieUserlist\container.dat
It was time, anyway, so I wiped the drive using factory low-level overwriting and performed a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro using a freshly downloaded ISO from Microsoft; one with an ESD distribution, written to a new just out-of-the-bedamned-hardshell-plastic
    flashdrive..
I just completed the clean install, in this sequence:
Boot to flashdrive and let Windows create partitions then install.  Reboot.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Activate.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Run first Update; install everything except Bing Bar and Desktop.    Check AppData; no folders found.  Reboot.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Add Feature Windows Media Center.  Check AppData; no folders found.  Reboot.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Run Updates a second time.  Check AppData; no folders found.  Reboot.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Remove MS C++ v12 x86 and x64 installed during Update.    Check AppData; no folders found.  Reboot.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Download from MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/default) Redistributables MS C++ x86 and x64, 2005, 2008, 2010, and 2012.4 versions, and install in sequence.  Check AppData
after each install; no folders found.  Reboot after each install and check AppData; no folders found.
Run Updates a third time.  Response was No Updates Available.  Check AppData; no folders found.
Reboot.  Check AppData; all four sub-directories are now present.
These sub-directories and dat-files are not, so far, present in the AppData\Roaming directory.
    There is nothing except Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro WMC and the 10 MS C++ packages installed; and MS Silverlight and AMD (videocard) Catalyst Control Center on the machine.  Windows Defender is present but is installed as part of Windows 8 and 8.1;
and its' updates are provided via the MS Update process.  All - repeat ALL of these items are provided by Microsoft.
My questions are:  What are the Emie directories for; what program created them, and what does the various container.dat files "contain"?  And . . . if not absolutely necessary, How do I get rid of them and keep them from coming back?
    First attempt at Solution:
Permissions are Full for System, USERNAME, and group Administrators.  The USERNAME is the Owner, and Effective Permissions for each of the 3 is Full.
    Open Command Prompt (Admin)
    C:\Windows\system32>cd\
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\EmieSiteList\container.dat
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\EmieSiteList
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\EmieUserList
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\EmieUserList\container.dat
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieUserList\container.dat
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieUserList
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieSiteList
    C:\>attrib -r -h +s C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\EmieSiteList\container.dat
    C:\>
BOTH Files and Directories are no longer Hidden.  The Directories still show that the files within are READ-Only, but checking the actual file shows that it is no longer R-O.
I then deleted each of the 4 directories and  closed Windows (File) Explorer.
After less than 3 minutes reading pages on the internet (at Microsoft's Ask Windows Community), I opened Windows Explorer to check and found that the sub-directories had re-created themselves in both the Local and LocalLow directories.
The container.dat files were back in the Local sub-dir and after another few minutes, also back in the LocalLow sub-dir.
Both the sub-directories and the container.dat files are once again Super-Hidden.
Analysis using Windows utilities and SysInternals and NirSoft tools have not identified which object or process or service owns these objects.
ADDED:  My system is a home system, not connected to any work domain via VPN or otherwise.  WHY is the Windows Update Team not spending time to implement condition-and-error-checking to ensure that unneeded updates, services, and changes are not made
without the system owner/operator permission?  Further, WHY is this particular issue so hard to find info about; what is being kept from customers and why?

    Dear sir Shovel Driver,
       About:  EMIEsitelist  and  EMIEuserlist
    .., hidden directories and dat-files
Internet Explorer 11 (on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) provides increased performance, improved security, and support for the modern technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 that power today’s Web sites and services. By adding better backward compatibility with
Enterprise Mode, Internet Explorer 11 now helps customers stay up to date with the latest browser—and facilitates using the latest software, services, and devices.
IE11 Enterprise Mode can be set in the Group Policy Console, or by adding a
    Registry setting:
    REGISTRY:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
    "EnterpriseMode"="Disable"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\EnterpriseMode]
Or a edit a Group Policy setting, which you can find under:
    [Windows-Key]+[R]->[Run]->Type here:
       gpedit.msc
Press [Enter], with an UAC Warning:
Do you want to allow the following program to make changes on this computer:
    gpedit.msc ?
    Select/Press: Yes
Go to in the Left pane of the GPedti.msc Window:
      Computer Configuration
      Administrative Templates
      Windows Components
      Internet Explorer
Change / Add at right list, down under:
"Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list"
Set this option to - whatever you need;  Disabled,
    Enabled (Default is: Not Configured)
When Enabled, you need to add a list with Web-Sites, Domains or Web-Pages.
This policy setting lets you specify where to find the list of websites you want opened using Enterprise Mode IE, instead of Standard mode, because of compatibility issues. Users can't edit this list.
If you enable this policy setting, Internet Explorer downloads the website list from your location
      (HKCU or HKLM\Software\policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\EnterpriseMode),
opening all listed websites using Enterprise Mode IE, Web-Sites are seperated by a sign: "
If you disable or don't configure this policy setting, Internet Explorer opens all websites using Standards mode.
    Now to
    properly close and conclude this
    mystery:
    EMIEsitelist and EMIEuserlist
.., are hidden directories and dat-files
Thses directories and dat files are used to store data for the IE11
    EnterpriseMode.
It is not a: Virus, neither it is a Trojan, Hoax, KeyLogger or anything else bad.

  • Airport Extreme, Airdisk, and Vista - large file problem with a twist

    Hi all,
I'm having a problem moving large-ish files to an external drive attached to my Airport Extreme SOMETIMES. Let me explain.
My system - Macbook Pro, 4gb ram, 10gb free HD space on macbook, running latest updates for mac and vista, external hard drive on AE is an internal WD in an enclosure w/ 25gb free (its formatted for pc, but I've used it directly connected to multiple computers, mac and pc, without fail), AE is using firmware 7.3.2, and im only allowing 802.11n. The problem occurs on the Vista side - havent checked the mac side yet.
The Good - I have bit torrents set up, using utorrent, to automatically copy files over to my airdisk once they've completed. This works flawlessly. If i connect the hard drive directly to my laptop (macbook running bootcamp w/ vista, all updates applied), large files copy over without a hitch as well.
The Bad - For the past couple weeks (could be longer, but I've just noticed it recently being a problem - is that a firmware problem clue?) If i download the files to my Vista desktop and copy them over manually, the copy just sits for a while and eventually fails with a "try again" error. If i try to copy any file over 300mb, the same error occurs.
What I've tried - well, not a lot. The first thing i did was to make sure my hard drive was error free, and worked when physically connected - it is and it did. I've read a few posts about formatting the drive for mac, but this really isnt a good option for me since all of my music is on this drive, and itunes pulls from it (which also works without a problem). I do however get the hang in itunes if i try to import large files (movies). I've also read about trying to go back to an earlier AE firmware, but the posts were outdated. I can try the mac side and see if large files move over, but again, i prefer to do this in windows vista.
this is my first post, so im sure im leaving out vital info. If anyone wants to take a stab at helping, I'd love to discuss. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
Just noticed the other day that I am having the same problem. I have two Vista machines attached to TC w/ a Western Digital 500 gig USB'd. I can write to the TC (any file size) with no problem, however I cannot write larger files to my attached WD drive. I can write smaller folders of music and such, but I cannot back up larger video files. Yet, if I directly attach the drive to my laptop I can copy over the files, no problem. I could not find any setting in the Airport Utility with regards to file size limits or anything of the like. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

  • Remot Control For Digital@nywhere ATSC and Vista Don't Work Together Very Well

    I have a Digital@nywhere ATSC tuner card w/remote.
On Windows XP, the remote worked ok. On Windows Vista, the remote works only some of the time.
On Windos XP, the BDA drivers and utilities on the install disk loaded fine. Not so with Vista.
On Vista, the utilities on the install disk seem to load fine, but the BDA drivers fail.
Loading the Vista Digital@nywhere utilities gets the tuner card to work, but has no drivers for the remote. Leaving me to load the utilities from the install disk, and and the BDA drivers from the Vista Digital@nywhere files. A rather tedious process, with the remote only functioning sometimes.
I have tried every trick I can think of to get the remote control and Vista to work together, to no avail. I'm stumped.
I'd rather not go out and buy a new tuner card, when the Digital@nywhere ATSC tuner card works fine on Vista. I'd just like to have a remote control that works fine too. But I don't.
I hope an answer can be found for this problem.
If I haven't been clear enough, just ask, and I'll try to explain things better.
Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

Are you using Media Center in Vista? If so, buy a Media Center remote, should work with no problems.

  • Drivers/Utilities CD..XP and VISTA..can I use vista for WIN7 64 bit install?

Drivers/Utilities CD's, that came with the p-35 Motherboard..XP and VISTA..can I use Vista for WIN7 64 bit install, or download the chip set drivers for Awin7 BEFORE the OS install??
    MSI P-35 Platinum
    Q6600 Core 2 Quad
    Presently XP 32Bit
    NVidia geforce 8600GT
    8GB DDR2 SDRAM PC6400-800MHz
    Windows 7..waiting to be installed.
    Hello,
I WANT TO DO A CLEAN INSTALL.I have Windows 32 Home XP, I have the Win7 OEM I want to install.
When i bought my MSI mobo, it came with both the drivers and utilities for XP and Vista.   Can I use the chip set drivers and utilities for Vista, until i can go to MSI and download the latest chip set drivers?  When do i install these drivers....before the OS install, or after?
Can I format these drives first, go in the BIOS change to boot sequence from Raptor Boot Drive to the DVD/Rom to boot the WIN7 from, or should I format while installing Win7?
Someone on another forum suggested that 1) disconnect the two droves, then install the OS on the boot drive, and2) before win7 install, make the proposed boot drive (NOT THE DVD/CD ROM the first choice priority for the boot sequence....is this right?
Is it absolutely necessary to unplug the other two drives, while formatting and installing the WIN7 O.S.?  People tell me that there is a chance of the OS installing sometimes on the other drives.
Also, if I want to change the now present boot drive Local disk letter (C) to my storage drive (G) and the other two drive letters, can I do this in manage disks, anytime, or only during windows setup install?
    Thx

I've never had this much trouble hooking up a HDD.
I have two IDE DVD/CD ROMS.  (My RAID MODE was IDE in XP OS, and still is with WIN7.)
           I have three SATA HDD's.
After unplugging the SATA 2TB HDD while I installed the WIN7 OS on the 500 GB HDD (it was on the 74 RAPTOR, but I moved location, and made absolutly sure nothing went on my raptor)
So today I decided to re-hook up the 2TB Storage HDD, and when I did, I went into bios, and to the cell menu, and LOAD ALL DEFAULT SETTINGS, so it could see my newly installed HDD,which I had all my backup Data from the previous HDD. I also checked and the RAID MODE was IDE, and the boot sequence was the WDC 500GB Boot/OS drive, rebooted, then I got that annoying blanked out screen with that blinking cursor, so I got back into the bios, and changed the 1st boot to the IDE Pioneer DVD/CD ROM, 2nd boot to the 500GB HDD, and rebooted again..still got that blinking cursor.
I opened up the Mobo, checked and replugged all SATA, and power cables to the three HDDS, tried it again, then still got the blinking cursor.  Seems no matter what I change in the boot sequence,it never wants to boot properly
    ....AND THEN,
I started with TAB > POST> started WINDOWS, then once it opened up, I went to manage Disks, saw all three HDDs were online and healthy.  Win. Explorer also listed them in that folder, in device manager, it listed all three too.
     The managed window showed this:
    74GB    (system,active,Primary partition)                       Storage
    2TB     (Primary partition)                                           Excessive Storage
500GB  (Boot, page files,crash-Dump, Primary partition)   Operating system
Both the PCI IDE BusMaster and ON-Chip SATA Controller were both ENABLED.
Before I just got online, I tried RESTART, and it opened Windows the usual way,  so I hope I don't have any more problems. It worked fine BEFORE I just plugged in the 2TB HDD back in.
I pretty much did what everyone suggested, except for leaving in the 74GB Raptor when I installed WIN7, which prompted me to format the drive prior to installing the OS.  Also, when I changed the IDE, RAID,and AHC1, to the AHC1 Mode, just before I installed Window7, like a few suggested, I also had problems, so after the install, I went back and changed it back to IDE.  My Floppy was an IDE, but I removed it from my system, and disabled in BIOS, but even a few times I went into Bios and saw that thje floppy was 1st Boot, even though I changed to either the DVD/CD Rom, or the 500GB boot drive.
So what is the preferred boot sequence?

  • Official release of XP and Vista drivers for Satellite Pro P100-465 PSPAEE

When will the drivers be available for both XP and Vista for the PSPAEE? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E some of which work, some not, on either operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Ugrade and the drivers work but two of the driver apps are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I could get no options to enable these (unclassified as yet from MS so they are locked out) I was told to disable Defender by tech-support!
I have tried a clean install of my own version of Vista Business and had driver problems with that as well.
I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more efficient but would like to use drivers specifically for it so a time-frame would be very useful.
I'd also like to know why there is a plug where a finger-scanner could go underneath the 0 of the number-pad, and a blocked-off lower PCMCIA (PCI-E?) port when neither of these are available as upgrade options? Did I miss those upgrade options or is this a case recycled from another model where they are available? If the latter then that's pretty cheap for a new machine :)

The Toshiba USA site offers comprehensive information on Vista upgrade and drivers for P100/105 machines which include similar ones to those released in the UK/Europe. If you want to be at the bleading edge of technology/take a chance see
