Disable Copy/Paste / Ctrl-Y and CTRL-V

Hi,
is there any way to disable the Copy/Paste function in the SAPGUI? Especially disabling the key commands CTRL-Y and CTRL-C.
The customer would like to disable any kind of copy function

I have seen this before for ALV grids, but am not sure whether it was a missing feature or infact an intended and possibly optional one.
I suspect the former case to be true, so you will need to use SAPGui engineering to disable it and ensure that the users cannot connect from a machine they have control over to the server or an older SAPGui version. These sort of preferences have typically also been HKEY_CURRENT_USER settings so you might have trouble retro-fitting it as well.
Which SAPGui version are you using? There is a new "SAPGui Security Center" available in 7.20 which might offer this control (amongst several others).

@ Nishant: Personally I have used the camera on my iPhone but some installations ban cameras, so I bought a "Teach yourself photographic memory in 21 days" course and have not looked back since. I can also count cards if they let me see them...

The standard behavior of Emai and Repeat Email field of Registration Applications allows Copy&Paste.
I would expect to have standard behavior to not allow Copy&Paste otherwise 'Repeat' don't make sense. May i know the reason behind standard behavior Copy&Paste options for the Email fields?

Disabled Copy & Paste in 29.01 is like losing an arm!! Need do-able workaround ASAP.

I am beyond furious that all the workarounds that made copy and paste function have now been disabled in 29.0.1. The FF overlords are imposing their will on the masses. I am an adult and can make security decisions for myself. Losing cut & paste is like losing an arm. Before I switch another browser, does anyone know a workaround to restore this critical browser function? I have seen the javascript idea but it's a bit complicated. The Clipboard Helper plugin and altering configuration no longer work. No add-on works either. I am desperate for an uncomplicated fix. Anybody?!

You should still be able to use the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+V, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+X) to paste, copy and cut.

You need to use EventFilter in TextField to avoid the user to Copy and Paste.

Message editor bug: Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y not working

Hi!
I am writing a reply, where I am inserting a lot from Word-documents and web-pages.
When I pressed Ctrl-Z, a large block of text, including an inserted quote, disappeared, and when I pressed Ctrl-Y it did NOT reappear, so there must be a bug or two in the message editor.
I am not sure what else to tell about it, but it's kind of shocking.
I have noticed before, that when you use Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y the editor-window does not scroll up and down to show you WHERE you are undoing/redoing something. That is also quite confusing!
And BTW: When you mark something, there is no cursor, to tell you if you are at the end of one line or at the beginning of the next. That is also quite annoying.

When you insert your word document are you using Paste without formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V).
All bets are off if your pasting the horribly contaminated data from a Microsoft office document without using a text only filter. It is an unfortunate fact of life that an email containing text pasted from Microsoft word can cause a virus alert due to it's internal references to OCX controls.
It also contains complex data structures that are only meaningful to Microsoft office. However they are more than enough to scramble other editors as they often do not form valid HTML. Just another occurrence of Microsoft "innovating"

I can't cut and paste using Ctrl C and Ctrl V--in any of the applications that I use on my MacBook Pro. I know it's probably pilot error, but I looked in preferences, and couldn't figure out what I've done...would appreciate any guidance. Thanks so much.

How do I disable copy/paste for most (but not all) of a .pdf?

Hello, I'm trying to create a .pdf document that is a "how-to" guide. I'd like to disable copy/pasting from 95% of this document, with the exception of a few sections that i'd like my users to be able to copy and paste and use as email templates. I've gone ahead and set pasword security settings and un-checked the box for "enable copying of text, images, and other content". Is there any way that I can enable copy/paste for just a few small sections of my document? or is it an "all or none" function?

E72 - Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V not working in browser

yesterday i updated my nokia e72 mobile to latest firmware 31 , after that Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V and Ctrl+A shortcut keys are not working in browser. which have made me feel as bad as typing the same text again and again (usfel in blogging or web messaging).
ALthough these shortcut keys are working in notes and sms application, but not in browser and Quick office applications (word, ecxel etc).
Can some one tell , how to fix it. or do i need to wait for next firware update. firmware 31 was released on 31 of march 2010. and today is 26th of May. almost two months have passed, and nokia has not yet released patch for this bug ....

I originally thought this was a problem of Quick office 6.2.217 Nokia_S603.2. I think it is a Nokia firmware problem as the previous post had stated.

Scrolling up and down with ctrl + i and ctrl + k

I would like to set scrolling to ctrl + i and ctrl + j for up and down scroll respectively. Is there any way to customize these?

Ctrl+I (web console) and Ctrl+J (K?) are already used for different actions and it might not be possible to remap them in such a way that they will always work to scroll the page.

Globally map Ctrl B and ctrl F to left and right arrow keys, respectively

Does anyone know how I would *globally* map Ctrl + B and ctrl + F to left and right arrow keys, respectively? This keystroke works for some applications, but not all. I'd like it to always work.

So, it is now June and still no fix. This is incredibly annoying when you are giving a professional presentation in front of an audience and the speaker wants to go back a slide. It's enough to change presentation software.
In truth, the Presentation Module in LR5 is vastly inferior to other dedicated software. For instance, you can't add a text slide as a divider between "chapters," as far as I can figure out, you can't merge slideshows or go from one to another without exposing your entire screen, the order of slides is over-ridden by some predetermined metadata rather than being able to choose two catalogs and put them into one slideshow, deciding yourself which catalog should play first.
Are any of these changes in the works?
Any eta on the right/left arrow fix?
This could be SO great. I hope it is moving in that direction.

Until the latest update (I'm guessing v 34.x), the search bar's icon would show you the currently selected default search engine. I understand that Google is no longer paying to be the default... That I was expecting and isn't my issue....
I used to be able to use Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down to change the default search engine (maybe default isn't the right term... but it changed what was used when I hit <Enter> or <Alt+Enter>). Now, there's no support for this as far as I can tell.
This shortcut page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly) still references it, but it doesn't seem to work.
As a sort of side note: Where typically, middle clicking on anything opens stuff up in a new tab, that behavior does not seem to carry over when clicking one of the non-default options in the search context menu. I've always appreciated that Firefox was very consistent about respecting the middle click as "do this in a new tab" what seems EVERYWHERE.

If you start typing a search term then a drop-down list opens.
You can use the Tab key to select other search engines that show on the bottom bar.
If you want to restore the previously used standalone window to manage search engines then you can toggle this pref to false with a middle-click on the about:config page.

You need to close and restart Firefox to make this work properly.

i have a JFrame inside which i have a JInternalFrame and this contains 4 JPanels
which have components now,
when i press ctrl-tab from first panel's component the focus should move to
first component of next panel same from other panels and ctrl-shift-tab - reverse
how can i achive it ?
i extended FocusManager and by overriding processKeyEvent() i was able achieve what a wanted
but i have many JInternalFrames which are entirely diffenent from each other
so had to have different FocusManagers .
after setting new focusmanager the Mnemonic of JFrame were not working .
so i need any work arounds for the above problem.
desperately need help.

It should work. In the case, don't minimize the Book3.xlsx's window. Then you should be able to use Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+F6 to switch between the book1,2 and 3.
Because Excel 2013 move to a single document interface, so there is no workbook title bar minimize, maximize, and close buttons. When you minimize the Book3's window in Excel 2013, the action will be treated as you have used the workbook title
bar minimize button to minimize the workbook.

If you use the workbook title bar minimize button in Excel 2010 instance, the same behavior can be reproduced.
