Disabling Field Disables the Entire Form

I am trying to disable fields in the 'User Library.xml' form depending on who logs in; unfortunately the code below disables the whole form.
Any pointers on how to get out of this logjam?

A little javascript should do it.

How to enable a field on the person form?

Hello,
I am working in UK Legislation and I need to enable a greyed out field on the person screen. It's the "Disabled" field (to capture the disability of an employee).
This might sound an easy thing to do but I couldn't find any function or profile option that controls this. I couldn't find any metalink note on this. Could any one tell me how to do this or let me know of any metalink note on this?

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) is the main piece of legislation which makes it unlawful to discriminate against a disabled person in their terms of employment, promotion opportunities, by dismissing them or by subjecting them to any other detriment. This act had been further amended, cumulating in the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 which is related to disability generally and extends outside the area of employment although some provisions will relate to employees.
Parts of the Act came into force in December 2005, other parts relating for example to transportation are applicable from December 2006. The above provisions replaced the concept of Registered Disabled Persons and
employment quotas which had been in existence since after the second world war.
In releasing the enhanced Disabilities functionality, it was intended to facilitate the maintenance of disability records through the Disability form and not the Disabled field on the person form.

FDF Returns the entire form not just user input

Using the properties dialog box on a submit button I set my form actions to return 'FDF Include' which according to the help menu will only return the results of the user input and not the entire filled out form. I only want user input because I plan to embed each results file in a website.Unless I am misunderstanding what should happen, it is not working. It is returning the entire form. I would appreciate any help or tips anyone has to offer. If I'm doing it wrong and there is another way, please let me know. I just want to see the answers in the form fields, not the entire form. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your assistance. I made a form, and then set the distrubuted settings to email me the form when submitted. I posted it to our intranet and then tested it. The form I posted is the 'distributed' form that Acrobat made from my original form. I posted it on a public site so you can have a look. Here is a link. This should allow you to download it instantly. If not, remove everything from the question mark to the end and then paste that link into a browser. I checked and double checked everything, but maybe I am missing something.

Disabling fields on initialization of form 8.2

Hi,
I am new to LiveCycle Designer 8.2 and I am trying to disable fields on initializing a form. If there is already a discussion about this or a how-to could someone point me there. I am having problem finding documentation on this.
Also I am confused on how to embed scripts into xfa doc. The Adobe documentation is confusing to me. Is there another FAQ or how-to for that aswell

You can set the initial state of an object in the object palette. Put focus on the object, and under the Object palette their is a value tab. On the Value tab their is a Type dropdown, you can set its initial state there.
Scripts are tied to an object. Again put focus on the object. Open the script editor (Window/Scrip Editor or simply hit Cntrl-Shift F5). It will appear between the toolbars and the drawing palette. Now you are ready to script against the object that has focus. Choose an event (top left) where you want your script to run, choose a language (typically javascript) and leave the Run At parameter as client. All script for that event will be automatically written into the template for you when you save. You can change events and your script will disappear. All that means is that there is no script on th eevent that you are looking at. In the event dropdown, if there is an * beside an event that signifies that there is code on that event.

How can I change the behavior of the Green Enter button when filling out a field in a form? Current it submits the entire form, I would like it to tab to the next field instead

When using Firefox for Andriod:
When filling out a field on a form, they keyboard has a Green Enter button that submits the entire form. However, there are multiple fields on the page, and I would like it to tab to the next field. At the very least not submit the form.
Also, is there a way to configure the keyboard that shows up for each html5 input type?

They keyboard that shows up has the large "Green Enter" go button, a backspace and some arrow keys, but no tab button.

ERROR: "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your country."

When I tried to download a song tonight, I got a message that said that my billing info had changed and that I needed to verify it before I could purchase any music. On the "Edit Payment Information" page, I put in all of my info (my address was missing), and hit done. I get the error: "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your country." Well, the country field is not editable, and but it says "United States," which is the right country. I can't get passed it, so I can't download anything. I'm running the latest version of iTunes... but I haven't purchased anything since.
The other thing that concerns me is that I didn't change any billing info, so this is a bit strange. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on? Thanks!!

Just in case this ever happens to anyone else, here is how to fix the problem (THANKS, ITUNES SUPPORT)!!
1) Sign out of the iTunes Store by choosing Sign Out from the Store menu in iTunes.
2) Visit Apple's My Info website:

3) Choose your country and preferred language. Then enter your iTunes Store account name and password and click Continue.
4) Choose Address Book from the menu on the left. On the Edit Address Book page, look at your shipping addresses at the bottom. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit.
5) Now choose Phone Numbers from the menu on the left to look at your phone numbers. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
6) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
7) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.
When you make your next iTunes Store purchase, you will be asked to review your billing information. At that point, you can change your information or simply click Done. After that, you should be able to purchase items.

How to use the separate symbol in the text field in the adobe form.

I dont know how to use the separate symbol to make a paragraph separate into several lines correctly in the text field in the adobe form.
Action:
1. config the ADS successfully.
2. create the adobe form with a mult-line textfield(binding the 'remark' context in the interface of the form) using sfp.
3. create a WDA for invoke the form and transfer the 'remark' context data.
I use the following codes to display the paragraph in the PDF document:
CONCATENATE
'1、aaaaaaaaaaa；'
'2、bbbbbbbbb '
'3、ccccccccccc'
'4、ddddddddd'
INTO remark .
lo_nd_z_hr_php_payslip->set_attribute(

But I found all the content aren't paragraph separate correctly in the text field in the adobe form when I run the WDA.

Hi,
If it is just a one word value then you could use this in the exist event;
this.rawValue
= util.printx(">?<*",this.rawValue);
This changes the first character (represented by the ?) to uppercase (represented by the >) and all trailing characters (represented by the *) to lowercase (represented by the <).
If you wanted something more general ... if they could also enter a middle name then you could call a function like;
function toTitleCase(textValue)
return textValue.toLowerCase().replace(/\b[a-z]/g, function replacer(match) { return match.toUpperCase(); });
This uses a regex to change all lowercase letters following a word boundary to uppercase.

If I understood you correctly, you are just trying to add new fields to the invoice form and then use them in your form. you should first go and add the field to your tables, which you would do by going to Tool --> User Defined Fields --> Manage User Fields. There are different documents or categories given. For ex. for invoices, Sales Orders you would add your field under the Marketing Documents. If you want the field to be just one per invoice, add it to the Title, otherwise if you want a field per invoice or Sales Order line, add it to the Rows section. Once you have done that then you can just create a edit box or drop down to represent the field and set the datasource for that to your field. If you want example code to do that, let me know.

Can we test a Field in the activeSync Form

Can we test a field in the activesync form.
I have created different fields in activesync form.
I wanted to test what data is coming and how activesync input form is handling the data and processing it.
I just had a look at the class files which are calling the activesync form but what i could understand is They are creating a query based on the schema map and the search predicate.
But when it comes to input form I wanted to know what data is coming and how the input form and the resource compares.
Can any one Please clarify this things will be greatful.

Hey,
actually there are three generic objects filled for every record that is pulled from chang log when active sync polls.
These are activesync objet global object,IAPI. What you could do is enable logging in the active sync configuration and tail the file, you can see how the active sync adapter gets data fro change log ane what are changes.

Genius - You did not complete the entire form

When I try to sign in to Genius with my Apple ID it gives me the message:
You did not complete the entire form
The only bit to fill in is the Apple ID. I tried using me.com but that didn't work either.

I'm going to make a full version of an application, but I would really like a way to upload resumes and CV's.

Disable Field for Line Details Form

How do I trap an event on a Line Details form to disable a field?
The FormType for all the Line Details forms is 1 so I cannot differentiate one from the other. Also, there does not seem to be a Form Mode for Line Details forms so I cannot differentiate Add mode from Update.
Any insight is appreciated.

Don't think you can disable a field in line detail. You can only disable a column... SDK didn't even allow you to disable a row in a line details-matrix, let alone a field... Let us pray then
