  • Portal content in Arabic for limited users

    Hello Colleagues
We are about to implement ESS on EP.In our backend system ECC 6.0 data is available in English.
Our client requirement is that for certain users Portal content should be available in Arabic.I have gone through some threads in which we can change the Portal language to Arabic for all with Portal Translation .But my question is whether it is feasible for limited users as rest of users will access Portal in English.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
Based on the Language set on UME standard things will change in portal. To translate your Custom application language in Portal then follow the below link and translate it manually . So that only users with Arabic language set can see portal in Arabic Language.

  • SNR License Issue. How Can I Disable SNR for all Users?

    Hi,
I Have an issue with SNR on CUCM 10.5 and with assignement of license type
    I have a cluster with 400 users.
200 users use ip phone 3905 and should be use an Essential License.
When system check for assignement of license type , itassign a Basic License instead of an Essential License, because it see that users have SNR Enabled.
All users in my system have SNR enabled, and I can not disable it. All my user have Enable Mobility unchecked, and all my phone have Device Mobility Off, but system however see SNR enable.
How can i disable SNR for all users? This is a feature that client don't need.
I dont' have a sufficent number of licenses for support all 3905 in Basic License.
    thanks for help.
    Andrea

Well actually, Mobile Identity wouldn't apply to a 3905 unless those phones had another line on a Dual-Mode device like an iPhone or Android phone.  So unless you have either of those in your system you can scratch that idea.  Someone else may chime in here and try to help a bit more as RD/RDP are the main SNR culprits.

    Hi Chaitanya,
I don't think theres a specific parameter to achieve this, but you can set the value of rdisp/gui_auto_logout to 10 in one of the instances and create a new logon group for this users.

  • Password protect/disable printers for certain users under ML 10.8

I am looking for a solution to prevent my youger pupils to print everything without asking me. Is there a solution to protect/disable printers for certain users under ML 10.8 ?

Ok. The sharing interface is not robust enough (by itself) to password challenge print jobs. You may need to look at another printing technology known as CUPS. Apple created this for advanced print configuration, and it does offer Kerberos security with printing password challenges. I do not know if OS X server offers more granularity in configuration.
I won't be able to help you with the following as I do not use the CUPS printing solution here.
In Safari, type in the following and press return.
    localhost:631
You will see a tabbed browser interface. And a bit of light reading ...

Theoretically if the user's not in the audio group, he shouldn't have access to sound devices.

  • IN OBIEE, how to disable drilldown for specific users

How to disable drilldown action in a hierarchy as manager, lead, reporter.
in this scenario i need to disable hierarchy for the specified reporter and the upper two peoples will have that functionality
    Awaiting ur reply
    Bala

The RPD hierarchies themselves have no security attributes on them. So your left with a workaround or two. First one that springs to mind :
Create the report in question save this as 'Manager' report.
Create the report in question, disable drilling on the column in question, save this as 'Reporter' report.
Deploy both reports to the dashboard in seperate sections and use the section permissions (against the Webgroups those users exist in) to determine which section is displayed to which user.
Maybe more options will come up from other users, but this one is a start.
    Hope this helps,
    Alastair

  • Document for Limited Users License Details

    Hi,
Is there any document where the Modules, Forms, Reports and Roles are quantified for Limited CRM Users, Limited Logistics Users and Limited Finance Users? It should be a list and should mention the forms, reports and the actions that can be done or not (READ, EDIT, VIEW, PRINT etc.). If so, where can I download it from?
    Regards
    Sudatta

    Hi,
you can also find the document in the product package either patch level e.g. B12007A01P_09-10003612 or product version. The most update is in the patch level version. In this package, there is documentation folder. In this folder, you will find systemsetup folder. In this folder, there is license guide pdf file. The info you need is described in the page 8-9.

  • Disabling link for unauthorised user

    Hi
I am creating an application for ess/mss.
where I created an iview for acessing the leave approval but it should be acess ,only by particular user who are having the authority to approve the leave. For rest users the link prompts other message.
Can anyone tell how I can change the property of iview assigned in a role to both an user and authorised user .To restrict the unauthorised user from acessing that particular iview

    Hi
I am working in netweaver portal application where i created an html page in webdynpro abap giving the particular link of the path ,but for acessing that link i need to know that if the particular role for acessing that iview is been given to the user then that link is going to work otherwise not .
    Lets take an example
An employee applies for a leave in the company's portal which is been acessed by both employee and its approver .
The portal page consist of both request and approver links in a single page.
I want to make the approver link disable for the particular employee.
Where only the approver has right to acess that link
I want the application to check the assigned role and then give the acess to particular user.
At present in portal its able to acess other component iviews assigned to different roles not allocated to particular user

  • Password protect/disable printers for certain users

is there a way to password protect or disable a printer to prevent other users from using the printer. my sister has used up 4 ink cartridges in a month! i just realized this in when i tried to print something. GONE.
    thanks
    Brad

    Király wrote:
First make sure your sister is not using an admin account. Then download and install the Leopard Server Admin Tools from Apple.
That will work, but is perhaps a bit of overkill with OS X 10.5. To deny specific users from printing, just go use the web interface for the printing system. Go to _http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/_. Find your printer and click on *Set Allowed Users*. Just follow the directions. You will need to authenticate with the short user name and password for an administrator's account.

Can someone please help me with the powershell script which gets input from text file which contains username? Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    Mac

Thanks Amit. Now i ran the whole script and getting the same error.
    User or group "Userlogonname

    correctly.

  • Samba - disabling access for certain users on domain member servers

    Hi all!
I'm running a small network that has domain logons for windows clients and I want to have single sign on (samba shares and shell accounts) on those three servers I'm running. The problem is, I don't want to allow all users to access all servers.
I have the samba running tdbsam password backend. Do I have to use ldap backend to achieve this or is it possible to do using tdbsam backend? I'd prefer to have all configuration concerning windows domain and passwords in one place...

  • Disable upload for specific users only

    Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone else has found a need or solution to my problem.
I have a lot of users connecting to a FCS instance, many who should not be able to upload any content, just manipulate or otherwise interact with existing content. I've found that I can simply forbid access to all devices for a particular permission set, but that still allows users to "try" to upload, and is confusing. Further, it seems to hinder the duplicate functionality, which is desired in this use case.
Any thoughts? I'm running clean out of ideas here!
    Thanks,
    - James Heliker

John explained through an email to use the "browser" group - which essentially sets a trait permission (upload = forbid) for a specific user/set of users. However, this does not seem to change anything, as far as being able to upload a file.
I can't use the actual browser group as I have many other requirements also, but setting this trait permission on my existing groups does absolutely nothing as far as I can tell. Has anyone else dealt with this issue directly?
    Thanks!

  • How to disable Wifi for one user account?

    Hi.
I am setting up very restricted user account in Lion that I want to use on gigs when using Ableton Live 8 on stage.
Basically, my user account should just allow to run Live 8 and nothing else.
Is it possible that the airport get switched off when login into this particular user account?
Thanks in advance for your help

EDIT: If the stuff below seems more complicated than you wish to be involved in, feel free to ignore it.
The Mac will send packets bound for the Internet to the Top-Most ACTIVE interface listed in the left side of the box at:
    System Preferences > Network
If you set the 'Service Order' to have Ethernet at the top, whenever Ethernet is working, Wi-Fi will be ignored.
Set Service order is available using the gear Icon at the bottom of that box.
So all my Internet traffic is going over my Ethernet connection, even though Wi-Fi is still connected and nominally "active".
