Disappearing of "Load Images"

Hello,
In Leopard I used to have in incoming mails on the top right of the window, the command " Load Images" to enable presenting images coming with the mail.
After installation of 10.6 this command has disappeared in the incoming mails.
Where I can configure it back?
TIA

On 10.6.1 the mail version I have is 4.1, but in the View pane it has the same command, and it is ticked as well, but with no luck, for me.
You may have a corrupted Mail preference file. I'd first try to uncheck that preference, close the preference panel (and possibly Mail itself), then open the preference panel again and check the option.
I'd managed somehow to turn that option off when composing my earlier reply. In turning it back off, it seemed that it took place immediately. However, it wouldn't hurt to close things between changes.
I discovered the "plist" file that seems to contain that preference setting. (At least that's a file with a date that changes when the setting is changed. I didn't see the actual preference item.) However, I wouldn't suggest trashing it to cure your problem. That file contains a lot of other things. If you trashed it you might risk losing all your saved messages.

  • Image disappears before loading the webtemplate.

    Hello All,
    I made a BSP application with following code. I am using this BSP to display the webreports(Webtemplates(WAD)). And calling this BSP from the exteranl sytem using the URL "http://<bwsys>:8080/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<BSPapp>/default.htm" and here send the webtemplate as the parameter.
    The problem is "loading.gif" is visible for seconds and disappearing much before the webtemplate result display. I should show the "loading.gif", just before the output.
    Could you please check the below code, suggest me what i have to do for my requirement.

    now call default.htm with the template parameter.
    default.htm?template=your template id.
    Note: when you construct the url for webtemplate use what the use of '|' instead of '&' and the same is converted to '&' in loading.htm and also the 'http://' is only added in loading.htm.
    Try it and let me know.

    “Hi Kirby, thanks a lot for your answer.
    I got one answer, from DMoore, saying:
    “Try Safe boot and then restart with only Aperture open.  Still doent work write back with more details like Ram, HD capacity/free space.  Are these thumbnails or Previews? Have you turned off building previews in AP preferances?
    Safe boot   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
    Starting up into Safe Mode does several things:
    1  It forces a directory check of the startup volume.
    2  It loads only required kernel extensions (some of the items in /System/Library/Extensions).
    3  In Mac OS X v10.3.9 or earlier, Safe Mode runs only Apple-installed startup items (such items may be installed either in /Library/StartupItems or in /System/Library/StartupItems; these are different than user-selected account login items).
    4  It disables all fonts other than those in /System/Library/Fonts (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
    5  It moves to the Trash all font caches normally stored in /Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS/(uid)/ , where (uid) is a user ID number such as 501 (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
    6  It disables all startup items and login items (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
    7  Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later: A Safe Boot deletes the dynamic loader shared cache at (/var/db/dyld/). A cache with issues may cause a blue screen on startup, particularly after a Software Update. Restarting normally recreates this cache.”
    As I don’t know much about the technical aspects of computers, I don’t really understand the first answer, and it sounds like following it might produce unwanted changes.
    But I understand your questions, so I’ll try to answer them;
    "loading from any Project" means that I encounter the problem when I’m using a project, possibly after/because I’ve left the Mac on overnight, and/or  I’ve made a lot of adjustments, and, once the problem is there, it happens in any other project which I open – the images load then disappear.
    I can see images in the Browser, so it only happens in the Viewer(s).
    I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean by: “If you select "Photos" from near the top of the Library tab of the Inspector, does it show you all of your Images?”. I am a newcomer to Aperture, so I don’t know what some of the buttons are for yet, but when I want to look at and adjust my pictures, I import them, as referenced images, then Aperture creates a folder/project in the Library. When I click on that Project (when it’s working properly), all the images appear in the Browser or the Viewers  – without me needing to “select Photos from near the top of the Library tab of the Inspector”. I selected it and looked at all the items in the dropdown menu, but none of them seems to offer the option to ‘show all the images’. So I’m not sure how to answer your question except to say that – yes, I can see all the pictures in the Browser or the Viewers (when it’s working properly), but I don’t seem to need to use the Photos button to achieve this.
    Did Aperture work before?
    Yes it worked ok for a while, but I only purchased it on 24th May.
    If I understand correctly, the difference between thumbnail and preview is that the thumbnail is what I see when the “Loading” wheel is turning, and the disappearance of this wheel after a few seconds means that I am now looking at the preview (also, the thumbnail cannot be adjusted).
    So I think the problem occurs when the thumbnail has finished loading; the viewer going blank/grey might mean that it is not showing the preview.
    But I have not changed the default Preview settings in Aperture Preferences.
    My macbookpro details:
    2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8 Gb 1333 MHz DDR3
    Hard Drive capacity 499.25 GB
    Available 387.36 GB
    I have noticed another problem: I cannot apply the same rating to multiple images: following the instructions, I select a group of contiguous (or non- contiguous) images, choose a selection eg “5stars” using the keyboard, but the stars only appear in the last selected image – even though all the images are still showing as selected.”
    I hope this helps you to understand more.
    Thank you for trying to help me.

  • Loaded image on jPanel won't disappear

    Gents, I have an image on a panel that I am drawing over with another image,
    the problem is the new image will not appear because the previous image
    keeps being displayed. there must be a way to completly erase the previous
    image, thanks for any help.....
    Jacques
    This is the code that I am using to draw the image:
    class ImagePanel extends JPanel
    Image imageX;
    int i;
    int IMAGE_ID;
    public ImagePanel (Image ImageX, int myInt, int IMAGE_ID)
    imageX = theImage;
    i = myInt;
    public void setImage (Image myImage)
    imageX = myImage;
    repaint(300);
    public void paint (Graphics g)
    super.paint(g);
    if (theTracker.checkID(IMAGE_ID, true))
    g.drawImage(imageX, 0, 0, getSize().width, getSize().height, this);
    if (i == 0) //i = 0 draw text labels on tank image not on FD Logo
    //g.drawString(elevz1.getText(), 20, 45);
    //g.drawString(atmphpress.getText(), 78, 13);
    //g.drawString(pressh.getText(), 68, 48);
    //g.drawString(vappress.getText(), 55, 119);
    //g.drawString(frictf.getText(), 115, 119);
    else
    g.drawString("Loading image: please wait..", 10, 50);
    repaint(300);
    } //end class

    hi.
    you might want to override the paintComponent() method
    this method is automatically called every time the JPanel component needs to redraw itself.

    How to load images from css file in JavaFX 8 - Stack Overflow

    There is nothing special to do - you execute the statement from your program just like any other SQL statement.  The only thing to be aware of are the privilege/permission issues:
    When loading from a file on a client computer:
    READ CLIENT FILE privilege is also required for the database user.
    Read privileges are required on the directory being read from.
    The allow_read_client_file database option must be enabled.
    The read_client_file secure feature must be enabled.
    Revoking these privileges is also the only way you can prevent a user from executing the statement.

  • How can i make firefox not load images from certain websites permanantly

    I am unable to block images on certain websites permanently. However, I can block images temporarily for a session through Option > Content > Load images automatically but whenever i clean the browser history or close down firefox the customized list that i entered disappear and i am back to square and again manually enter websites one by one and the same thing happens again.

    You can inspect and manage the permissions for all domains on the <b>about:permissions</b> page.

  • Email attachments disappearing / not loading

    Many of my co-workers are experiencing this issue (along with me) that email attachments disappear after you click on the 'download full attachment' button in the email.  This happens on iphone as well as ipads.  Once the attachment disappears, you can't ever get it to show up again in the email on the device.   How do we fix this?

    Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
    A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (''Site Identification'' icon) on the left side of the location bar and click the "More Information" button.
    This will open the Security tab of the ''Page Info'' window (also accessible via Tools > Page Info).
    Go to the ''Media'' tab of that Page Info window.
    Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow.
    If an image is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box ''Block Images from...'' then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

    You can inspect and manage the permissions for all domains on the <b>about:permissions</b> page or for the current domain via the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar and click "More Information" to open "Page Info" and go to the Permissions tab.

  • Progress indicator with currently loading images

    I want to add a progress indicator (indeterminate) that is governed by the completed loading of an image from a URL.
    Is there a way in JavaFX to tell whether or not an image has completed loading, which would be useful in controlling a progress indicator control.
    An example use would be a picture album that loads a number of images and the progress indicator disappears once all images are loaded.
    Cheers and happy holidays :)

    You could bind the read only attribute Image.progress to the variable ProgressIndicator.progress. Note that Image.progress varies between 0-100%, but ProgressIndicator.progress takes value between 0-1. So you need to scale the value of Image.progress.
    Also don't forget to set Image.backgroundLoading to true
    Here is a code snippet
        var image = Image {
            backgroundLoading: true
            url: "http://www.sagarmatha.com/images/yosemite.gif"
        var progress = bind image.progress on replace {
            println(progress);
        var progressIndicator = ProgressIndicator{
            progress: bind progress / 100.
        }

  • If I set Firefox to refrain from loading images automatically, how can I view a single image, or a single page's images, without having to enter the site in the Exceptions list, only to go back and remove it when I'm done?

    I was hoping for a hotkey option or button on the toolbar to load images for a single page for a single session at a time. Turning off images really saves bandwidth and speeds load time on websites, but sometimes I'd like to view the images on a page, but only for this session. Is that possible, or do I have to go to the Exceptions page and allow a specific domain or page to load images and then go back and remove that domain or page when I'm done?

When visiting SOME websites (though never the same ones twice) instead of loading images, it comes up with a blue question mark in a box. if we try to reload the page, it will do one of two things: it will either reload exactly the same, or, it will reload in a format that shows vertical written links - no images. it almost looks like programming language, but it's readable.
    also, when we go between links, we often get the message that "safari can't find the server". this is, again, erratic. If i try to go directly to the same website by typing in the address in the bar, i will get the connection. (so, if i go from youtube for example to try to connect to another website it won't work. but if i try to go directly to that website by just typing in the address myself, i can get it.) as i said, it doesn't always happen, but when it does it's a real pain!
    lately, i've had a new problem too, which seems to relate: when using hulu.com, it will not load the show saying it is unavailable and to clear my cache. I've done that... and it still won't reload. yet, when i go to google, and search hulu.com, and go to the website that way, i can get to the show page no problem. Or, i have to quit safari and then go back to hulu and, again, no problem.
    sometimes we can go for days without the problem, sometimes not.
    any ideas on how to help this problem would be MOST appreciated! thanks

    Go to Safari > Preferences then select the Appearance tab. Make sure Display images when the page opens is selected.
    For server issues, try turning off the router for a few minutes, then restart it.
    Hulu requires the Flash plugin. Uninstall your current copy of Flash, then reinstall >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
    Try emptying the Safari cache more often.
    And reset Safari. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
    And how much free space on the startup disk?     Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
    Try Safari in another user account. Same problems there, then log back into your admin account, launch Disk Utility.  /Applications/Utilities
    Select the startup disk in the panel on the left then select the First Aid tab.
    Click: Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions). If the startup disk needs repairing, follow the instructions for Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

  • Loading Images into Applets

    I've been having problems loading an image into an Applet. I've found that when the getImage() call is put into the init() method it loads the image fine, also implementing an imageUpdate call. However, now I'm trying to expand on this by putting it into a button click, it hangs indefinitely while waiting for the image to load.
    Another interesting point I've noticed is that the Canvas subclass ImageSegmentSelector uses a PixelGrabber in its constructor to put the Image into a buffer - when this class is created from the imageUpdate() call, NOT the init() call, the grabPixels() call hangs indefinitely too!!
    Any feedback, please,
    Jonathan Pendrous

    Sorry, thought this had been lost.
    You can load a file if the applet itself is run from the local filesystem - it loads it fine from the init(), but not otherwise. But I haven't got the applet to run from a browser yet without crashing (it's OK in the IDE debugger), so that's the next step.
