Disk space issue while exporting the library

Hi All,
I'm trying to export a shared documents library in a subsite (Susbsite1) using PowerShell, the size of Library is 4GB to my F:\ drive which has enough space of 50GB
but after exporting 400 KB it fails in the middle with error below
Error: There is not enough space on the disk.
Debug:    at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
   at System.IO.FileStream.WriteCore(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count)
   at Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.ExportDataFileManager.AddFile(Stream fileStream)
Can somebody help me on this.

I've tried sending it to the "hard drive bay 1" with 30 free gigs and to the "hard drive bay2" which has 22 gigs open. can't imagine we are making a file bigger than that. I'm thinking about sending it to an external drive with 60 gigs free.
Any help would be great since We have our sound mixer waiting for this as a video reference. Also trying to export OMF files but they are greater than 2 gigs so we're gonna try and split the track up with 4 tracks, 3 tracks & 2 tracks. This has been over a years worth of work and our sound mixing is the last thing to do. Sounds like you're getting perilously low on drive space, you should always leave about 15% free on a drive for the OS to do it's thing. Either backup and clear some room, or get another drive.

Issue while loading the library files(".so" or ".sl") using JNI

Hi,
We are loading the c library files using system.load during the init phase of servlet.
While loading the application for the first time everything goes smooth and application behaves as expected.
We are facing the below issue when we try restarting the application through admin console in case of WAS (web sphere) for any patch deployment in the application.
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Native Library /users/test1/siva/jnilib.so already loaded in another classloader.
If we restart the complete WAS every thing works fine.
There is no specific System.unload function available in java to remove the loaded library in JVM.
Is there any alternate way to unload the library which is loaded in class loader to resolve this issue which can be called in the destroy phase of servlet?
Any help here is highly apreciated.

You have a class with native methods that relies on the shared library. The class and the shared library are loaded into a class loader. If the class loader is unloaded by the GC then the native library will be unloaded as well.
A class loader can be collected by the GC if if the classes loaded by it are no longer actively references. So ALL class instances can be collected.
If the above is true then by running System.gc() twice it will collect the classloader and thus the native library.
So in your situation it might work if your app server allows you do GC (full GC is better if that is an option). You could try unloading the app, then doing the GC option several times, then do a load. Try the GC option about 6 times and the reduce it down to see if 2 work.
If that doesn't work then there could be some programmatic solutions using the same idiom.

Issue while exporting the report to other formats

When the rpt file created in the BO server is used to view the report through the report viewer, there are export options available to choose from. If this export option is tried as MSExcel or Word document, the alignment, page headers and all are not coming in the same way like in the one generated through the PDF.

The 20 gig qt file was what the mixer asked for. I guess he wants it instead of a dvd because it can be inserted to his pro tools. He asked for the 16:9 size dv/dvcpro ntsc format. He may be wrong and a half frame size would work. he did say he wanted the precision info provided by the QT file. Will the half frame give him the same frame and precision movie info of the 20 gig file with only a lower quality display image?
The problem with dropping everything into a dv seq is that we have many sections that have multiple layers of video with movement and size changes. What is the problem with making a 16:9 QT file?

Receiving a "There is not enough disk space available to install the product" error in App store while I clearly have enough space?

I am attempting to purchase Dues Ex: Human Revolution which requires 17GB to run, I currently have 27.34GB free.
Even though I have 10GB more than the required space I still get the "There is not enough disk space available to install the product"

You need at the very least 15% free disk space. More if possible. Definitely not enough free space to install a 17GB app.

Issue while exporting report in Excel Format

I am facing problem while exporting the report in Excel Format. After analysis, I think that it could be due to two reasons, either we are using wrong versions of Jars, or we are using wrong API. Here is the code, approaches and problems we are facing. Please help.
First approach we are using is:

Problem Faced: Specified Excel format is not supported.
Second Approach: We come to know that excel format is supported with new releases and with occa package.
Then we tried with import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument; It ask to set the ReportServer. When we are trying to set the server as
               reportClientDoc.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
Application is unable to find 'ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString' property. It seems like we are using some old jars. However we have downloaded the latest released jars for eclipse 2.
Please help for it. Issue is to export the report in excel format, which is currently working fine for PDF. If this problem is related to Jars, please suggest the path to download the latest jars. We also looking for the latest jars like rasapp and rascore etc. But these are not available with Crystal Report for Eclipse 2 release.

Issue while exporting report in PDF using crystal report XI

I am facing issue while exporting a report to PDF through crystal report XI. Reports are generating properly in the crystal report browser but when I am exporting the reports in PDF or trying to get print by clicking on print button, reports not generating properly.
Allignment in the exported PDF reports getting changed and reports margin is also changes. Due to this some part of report is chopped and printed on the next page.
I have deployed my application on IBM WebSphere 6.1 server and I am getting following error which might help to identify this issue.

The stack trace is caused by whitespace in your CrystalReportViewer.jsp file. Look up SAP Note 1199025 for the resolution.
It's not related to the PDF formatting issue. There's been changes to the formatting with the most recent version - Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 - so if you haven't already, I recommend you upgrade.
Note that there's differences in font metric calculation when using Adobe PDF format such that there's no way to get exact agreement between output of the CR and PDF. But the latest version helps greatly.

Getting error while exporting the report

I am having the same problem. I found this article in which the user was exporting 100,000 plus records and had the same issue exporting (Discoverer workbook exported to excel error - No dta can be exported and they were able to fix it by adjusting two memory settings in their pref.txt file. However, in my report there are only 1,100 records with eleven columns being returned. I export much larger reports on a daily basis.
Originally, the report was returning records and when I would go to retrieve all records it would tell me that all the rows could not be returned and the data may be incomplete. After scrubbing my SQL I no longer get that message, but the report still will not export and I get the same error as you.
I have not tried the pref.txt settings fix but may try it today to see if that is a workaround. I will then have to evaluate whether it is a good fix or just a band-aid.

I would like to have sugestions and help to solve a problem in IS 4.2.
I've created a view from two tables, joined together with the key from each one.
Then i've binded the rule with the view (mentioned above) created and calculated score for it.
The calculation is successful, however when i try to export all failed data i have the following error:
"Encountered an error while exporting the data. View the lof file (DPR-10126)"
When exporting failed data from calculations made directly to the datasources i do not encounter any problem, but when i try to export all data to CSV file (not only the 500 results limit) i have this kind of error.
However, when i visualize the data from the view created, it is also possible to export to csv file.
Resuming, the error occurs only when exporting all failed data from the view.
Can anyone help with this issue?

Your information is correct.
I've just confirmed it in the 4.2 SP3 Release Notes and they specifically refer to this issue.
A user who has 'View objects' rights for the project and a failed rule connection cannot export the failed data. This issue has been fixed in this release.

Space issues while extracting text

Hi,
      I am using PDTextSelectEnumText to extract text containing both Japanese and English.My sample document has 2 scenario:
     a)space between English and Japanese text. b)no space between English and Japanese text.
      my issues is with space,Which gets added to the end of English text,leading to string mismatch between extracted text and original pdf text.(for 2nd scenario)
      what changes I need to do,to read the space explicitly(if present between the text).
      Or is their any other function for text extraction.

Acrobat 7 hasn't been supported for at least 3 years now. You will need to move to Acrobat 9 and the 9 SDK (or later) to obtain support.

Disk Space Issues

Does anyone out there have best practice insights on how to deal with disk space issues on the database server? Can we copy the files onto different drives and then rename the drives? Will everything with the BPC application sync up again?
Is there anything tricky in dealing with this issue?

Hi Grant,
I once had to move the SQL database files from one drive to another. The only thing that I did was 'Detach the SQL database' in Enterprise Manager, move the files and 'Attach these files again. Everything else was automatically changed.
You can attach/detach using sql statements or using the graphicall user interface from SQL.

Filevault: Disk space issue

Hello everybody,
I experience these problems using Filevault: I copied files from my iMac to my Macbook to import them into iPhoto. After finishing the import I deleted the pre-import folder and logged out to compact my Filevault. Interestingly the disk space previously claimed by the afore mentioned folder does not seem to be available after the next login. Finder shows 5.12 GB free disk space where about 25 GB had to be.
I used WhatSize to explore the hard disk and discovered my Filevault's sparsebundle to consume all the missing disk space. Although the folder is definitively deleted and the sparsebundle was several times compacted by logging out the disk space does not become available.
My next step was to examine my Filevault's sparsebundle (files) via hdiutil in Terminal after switching to another user's accout:
$ sudo hdiutil info
$ hdiutil imageinfo xyz.sparsebundle
This gave me a first impression of the diskimage settings used by Filevault.
$ hdiutil compact xyz.sparsebundle
I tried to compact the sparsebundle manually. Output:
0 bytes of 23.8 GB possible freed. (Translated from German output.)
As indicated in the hdiutil manpage compacting a sparsebundle makes hdiutil delete the files which are not used any more. Thus, there needs to be some (still used) information left in the 8 MB files that can obviously not be deleted.
So I finally tried to resize the sparsebundle via hdiutil without success. I tought that shinking the sparsebundle's size would force Filevault (or hdiutil in the background) to reorganize the image's content being afterward able to free the disk space via "compact":
$ hdiutil resize -size min xyz.sparsebundle
and
$ hdiutil resize -size 60g xyz.sparsebundle
respectively
did finish without errors but did not resolve the problem.
My next step will have to be to deactivate an re-activate Filevault after copying my files to an external hard disk. But I do want to circumvent this step.
Does anyone have other suggestions how to free the unused used disk space?

I find a solution by myself:
*Howto shrink Filevault encrypted home folder (sparsebundle)*
What you need before you start:
1) Filevaulted user account ( user )
2) Drive Genius application by Prosoft
3) A second admin user ( user2 )
4) Three hours (depending on the Filevault‘s size)
What you need to do:
1) Log in as another admin user
2) Open „Terminal“.
3) Navigate to the user‘s folder:
cd /Users/ user
4) Change filevaulted folder‘s and subfolder‘s permissions:
sudo chown -R user.sparsebundle user2
5) Rename sparsebundle file:
mv user.sparsebundle user.dmg
6) Open user.dmg with Drive Genius.
7) Defrag mounted image.
This will take a while depending on the actual size of the sparseimage.
8) Close application and unmount image via Finder or mark mounted folder and press „cmd + E“.
9) Rename image:
mv user.dmg user.sparsebundle
10)Change permissions:
chmod -R user.sparsebundle user
11)Log out current user ( user2 ).
12)Log in user and log out to compact the Filevault‘s sparseimage.

SCCM 2012 R2 DP - Reserve Disk Space issue

Issue with SCCM 2012 DP. Reserve Disk space issue.
During DP installation I have given 100000 MB as Reserve disk space, now my DP Share drive reached below 97 GB of free space, now I’m unable to distribute packages to the DP.
Below is the error Message in Smsdpprov.log
Failed to find space for 105874160 bytes.
Solution tried:
Tried changing the reserve disk space value in Registry (HKLM- Software – Microsoft – SMS- DP- ReservedDiskSpace),
But the value is getting auto reset to old value after a restart.
Is there any way where I could change the Reserve disk space without reinstalling the DP Role?

We need to edit the reserved free space in SQL database. But this is not supported by Microsoft.
Steps:
1) Run SQL query:
select SCR.ID, SCR.Name,SC.NalPath, SCR.Value3 from sc_sysresuse_property SCR join sc_sysresuse SC on SCR.SysResUseID = SC.ID where SCR.name = 'MinFreeSpace' and SC.NALPath like '%<DP_Name>%' and SC.RoleTypeID = 3
Note: you need to replace the <DP_Name> with your actual remote DP server name.
2) Use the returned ID in step 1). Run the below query to update the 'MinFreeSpace' value.
update sc_sysresuse_property set value3 = 'set desired value in MB' where name = 'MinFreeSpace' and ID = 'ID retained in previous select query'
Example:
update sc_sysresuse_property set value3 =20480 where name = 'MinFreeSpace' and ID = 75340198761234567
3) In the next package content update cycle, the reserveddiskspace registry value (under HKLM\software\Microsoft\SMS\DP) will be changed
to 20480.
Or you can restart the SMS_SITE_Component_Manager service on SCCM site server
to update the “reserved free space” value on remote DP.
