Getting error while exporting the report

Hi,
I am facing error while exporting the report. Getting below error.
"No data can be exported because there are no rows.Operation failed."
how come this error is coming even though my report contains data.
please do the needful.
i am using the version discoverer 10g.

I am having the same problem. I found this article in which the user was exporting 100,000 plus records and had the same issue exporting (Discoverer workbook exported to excel error - No dta can be exported and they were able to fix it by adjusting two memory settings in their pref.txt file. However, in my report there are only 1,100 records with eleven columns being returned. I export much larger reports on a daily basis.
Originally, the report was returning records and when I would go to retrieve all records it would tell me that all the rows could not be returned and the data may be incomplete. After scrubbing my SQL I no longer get that message, but the report still will not export and I get the same error as you.
I have not tried the pref.txt settings fix but may try it today to see if that is a workaround. I will then have to evaluate whether it is a good fix or just a band-aid.

I am using JRC to create report in PDF format.
But intermitently I get java.lang.IllegalThreadStateException while trying to export ReportClientDocument into PDF format using the PrintOutPutContrller.
The I am using for this is

In our applications the Report will be generated in two ways.
1. A user clicks on a link on web, and the report is generated in PDF format and sent via http.
            At present we are creating a new
            ReportClientDocument for every request and using ExportControl.processHttpRequest() API
            the report in PDF format is sent user through response.
2. Quartz schuduler trigger a job, whose work is to generate Report in PDF format into a file, and the
          generated pdf file is sent to users via mail.
          Here I user ReportCLientDocument.export() API to get the InputStream and use the input stream
          to create PDF file.
It is possible that a user is requesting a report on Web Page and the same report is being generated by Scheduler at the same time. But in each case a separate ReportClientDocument is being used.Since Report containse a huge data, and it takes time to generate PDF file so, it is possible that a given RPT file is opened by two spearate ReportClientDocuemnt (one via web user and other via Scheduler) at the same time.
The have got rid of my earlier exceptions by sycncronizing the ReportClientDocuent.export() API.
But now am getting following exception intermittently.

Getting error while executing the report in WEB

Hello Experts,
I have did validation in my report on selection screen, if that validation is successful then only we can see the report output
otherwise it's give the error message.
Validations are working query designer and RSRT but when I run the report in WEB then even if the validation is successful then also I am getting the error message and not able to see the report output.
I have written the code in user exit for validation.
Can any one tell me why it is so?
what needs to do?

User getting error while opening the report

Admin can run the report, but users cannot.
This is XI3.1 Cluster version on Linux. User's cannot run the webi document, getting the error below
An error occured when trying to set preferences. Please contact your Business Objects administrator. (Error: INF)
Also when the users try to set the preferences they get this error
An error has occurred: Sorry, you do not have the right to 'Edit objects' (ID: 6) for 'linwe' (ID: 18496663). Please contact your administrator if you require this right.
It looks like it might be issue with the rights, but can't figure out where.
These users are in the developer access level where they have almost all the rights.
Please help

inorder for the users to change their preferences, following right must be enabled
Access Levels --> select the ACL and go to included rights
Application --> Infoview -->Change user's preferences
Can you check whether it is enabled or not?

Just as the error message said, there is no such data type named numeric in Visual Basic. The data type is actually exist in
SQL Server, but it doesn’t means that it should also exist in
Visual Basic. And based on my research, I couldn’t find a strictly equivalent data type in Visual Basic.
Besides, it seems that there are something wrong in your code. For more details, please see:
There is no such variable named Productid in the code, we should define it in the SetColor function in advance. Because you it used in the condition of if statement.
We should remove the unused variable in the function. Such as OrderYear and LineTotal. If the function needs LineTotal variable, we can use double data type to define the data type of LineTotal after format it.
The following custom code is for your reference:

All the configurations are in proper shape.
We need to change any IP adresses or proxy settings in the Internet explorer (Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> etc.,)
Do We need to configure any server address for getting the output to display on web pages in BI 7.0.
EP is not configured over here. Is that causing the problem.

If it's not the universe limits, then I think you've hit the "MDX result contains too many cells" (more than 1million) problem.
So, I suspect a long running query, no filters/variable restrictions, and You've probably got a dump in ST22.
I don't know what BW you have, but if it is BW 7, do you have Enhancement Pack 01 and SP05<->10 ?
You should check out all the latest corrections from component BW-BEX-OT-MDX
the final proof of the pudding would be to enable MDA / SOFA log , capture the MDX SELECT statement and test it in BW MDXTEST - i bet you get the same error there.

BIB-14412 refers to possible circular references. As you already have a posting relating to errors with a custom measure, I suspect the two errors are related. The custom measure definition is probably causing the export process to fail.

Try the following in the ERP backend system:
Standard Hierarchy Inconsistencies
Issue: one Cost Center is repeating in more than one node in Cost Center Standard Hierarchy.
Update from SAP Global support, the following was the email received:
in transaction KSH3 please run both the ambiguity and completeness check(Menu -> Extras -> Check and Help functions).
If you think that your standard hierarchy is inconsistent you can check that as following:
Run transaction Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Test. The result shows you if there are in consistencies. If that is the case run also Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Comparison.
Alternatively, you can run the report 'RKCORRH1' (TN SE38).
Run both the Hierarchy->Master data->test and the
Hierarchy->Master data->comparison.
As stated above inconsistency message showed after Test. Run the comparison and you get a similar message.
Once the above two are run, again when you go to test, the inconsistency disappears.

Error While Running the report in oracle apps

Hi All,
I got an error while running the report.The error is
"FDPSTP failed due to ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception".
Please anyone give ur idea to resolve this issue as it is urgent.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you get error while running SSRS reports.
Basically, If the Request Management service is enabled, it manages all incoming requests by evaluating logic rules against the user requests in order to determine what\which action to take and which machine or machines (targets) in the farm should handle
the request.
By default the Request time out value for Request Management service are as follows,
RequestTimeout : 00:01:40
RequestExecutionTimeout : 01:00:00
So the error throws from RM service for those reports who take more than 1 minute to generate the report.
To solve this issue, we can stop the Request Management service.
Or increase the time out
value by making use of following PowerShell script.
$waUrl = "URLofWEbApp"
$wa = Get-SPWebApplication $waUrl
$rmSettings = $wa | Get-SPRequestManagementSettings
$req=$wa.RequestManagementSettings
$timeout2= New-TimeSpan -minutes 5
Sreq.Requesttimeout=$timeout2
$req.update()

Error while executing the report FAGLB03

Hi,
i am getting the below error while executing the report FAGLB03 and double click on the balances to view the report on line item wise.
There is no active info structure for field catalog SAP_FI_DOC_003
Message no. Q6504
Diagnosis
The system wants to access the Archive Information System. It uses the field catalog SAP_FI_DOC_003 to do this. However, there are no active archive information structures for this field catalog.
Procedure
Create an info structure for field catalog SAP_FI_DOC_003 or activate an info structure for this field catalog.
Please could some one help me on this issue.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

Hi everybody,
For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

I have this same problem this morning, and I was going crazy, until I found this webpage on the internet:

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.
