Display a calendar in javascript!!!

I have a textbox and button placed next to each other. On click of the button I need to open a calendar for the user to select the date.
The calendar should open as a frame next to the button inside the same window as the textbox and the button. Please do not make the calendar to open in a seperate popup window. On selecting the date, the selected date should appear in the textbox.
I want a sample script that can demonstrate this.

yes, it is possible. In Calendar Express under
"Options | Settings -> Date"
"Show brief dates in the following order: Date, Month, Year".
BTW.: iCS 5.0 P4 is out since August, 2001. It's worth upgrading!

How to display a calendar on an GUI screen

Hi,
I need to dispaly a calendar on GUI screen, for instance if you go to www.hotwire.com, you can see a "Depart Date" field next to this filed there is a small box, click on that you will get calendar. In my screen I had a start date field I need to get the same on my screen too.
Could anybody had script(Javascript) to display a calendar like that. Please forward to me if anybody had.

ICal no longer displays caldav calendar but it's still there...

I find myself to have a strange problem... iCal no longer display a caldav calendar (which is my work exchange calendar via davmail app). But, it still appears to be there. In iTunes it is still listed in the calendars which can be synchronized with my iPhone. In fact, it is still synchronizing with my iPhone and up to date. If I add a new identical caldav calender in iCal, iCal only displays one calendar, as if there are no more, but in iTunes then two identical calendars are listed and on my iPhone all events are displayed double...
Any suggestion to get my calendar displayed in iCal again, or alternatively, how to remove the hidden agenda from the system so that I can resetup the calendar? By the way, I also have an MobileMe calendar running.
I look forward to receiving some hints as I am not yet able to solve this one.

Problem solved by myself Rebuild the calendar database by exporting the ical archive and then importing it. After that the hidden agenda was gone in Itunes. After a fresh set up of the caldav calendar in iCal it was back in iCal and iTunes. The mysterious ghost agenda is gone. Hope that this explanation may help someone else in the future.

Is there any app that can display two calendars (data sync with iCloud Calendars) side by side? e.g. one calendar for planning and the other for actual / diary.

Calendar can have two or more calendars calendars listed at the same time.
Each can be a different color for identifidation.
The first screenshot shows that the Medical and Joint calendars are shared calendars.
Will that work for you?

Thanks Julian for the suggestion. Unfortunately all still checked out and nothing amiss. However, after reinstalling OS 10.6.8 it appears that my calendar items are syncing once again, but not my contacts. I appreciate the suggestion none the less.
This same thing seems to happen each time I've upgraded Office with the associated version of Entourage, and now Outlook. Ah, well..nothing's ever simple. But I am thoroughly enjoying Outlook and the rest of the Office suite.

Aging - 7 Buckets Report needs to display by Calendar month not by days

The requirement is to display the Aging - 7 Buckets Report display by calendar month not by days. So is it suggestible to customize it or write a new custom report?

Firefox will not display Yahoo Calendar.

Firefox will not display Yahoo Calendar (I have tried on four separate computers).
When I use Internet Explorer, the Yahoo Calendar does display fine.
Do you know why Yahoo Calendar will not display in Firefox? Is there any solution?

Are you using Firefox 3.5? I am not sure whether Yahoo Toolbar still supports it.. Have you considered upgrading to Firefox 3.6.x or Firefox 5.0? :)

While creating Dash Board prompt choose the control to 'Calendar'.
I think it is not possible to provide 'Calendar' control using Prompts tab while creating request.
It is possible to write Java Script for a Column of data type 'char'. So, cast the date data type to char.
Go to: Column Properties --> Data Format
Choose override default data format to view the available options in the drop down list.
I would be very happy if anybody acknowledge me that I am wrong.

How do I display something only if javascript is enabled?

Hi. This may be a dumb question, but I haven't been writing code all that long. Anyway, I am creating a custom online store. I used the spry menu bar to create a menu bar for the product categories. The tutorials I had been watching about how to use the spry widgets said that it's a good idea to create alternatives incase somebody doesn't have javascript enabled, so I created an alternative navigation system. The problem now is, I only want to display the spry menu bar if javascript is enabled. I know I can use the noscript tag to display the alternative navigation system is javascript is disabled, but how do I display something only if javascript is enabled?

I tried that and it doesn't seem to be working. I tried it as:

Can you display a calendar in a drop down menu to select a date

I would like to display a calendar in a drop down menu like in
outlook's calendar appointments. Is this possible with forms
and how can it be done. I haven't been able to find anything in
the book I have. Any help would be appreciated

I am sure this is possible. There is a calendar object on the Forms and Demos CD but I have created my own calendar just using a single form that is called from every date field.
Create your calendar using a single date item that is populated by a parameter - this will be either the date from the field or sysdate. Create the other elements of the calendar as calculated items based on the first item +1, +2 etc. Use a when-mouse-click trigger to get the user's selection and pass it back to the date field via a global variable or a shared PL/SQL library.
To make it more like the Outlook calendar you will have to add a button next to every date field and add code to position the calendar according to the field position. You may prefer not to bother to do that - I just open the calendar centrally on screen and activate it using key-listval and/or a pop-up menu.
Hope this gives you an idea.

Popup Calendar - No Javascript

I would like to create a clickable calendar that pops up on an HTML page (similar to the ones seen on most plane ticket booking sites). I am developing this using JSPs but I do NOT want to use javascript. Is there any way to go about creating this calendar without javascript?

Sure... you can popup a small window that contains either an applet or a JSP page that sends the info back to the opening page. However, without javascript, either solution would require a refresh of the previous page to receive the data in the request object and update the correct field. You'd have to also save any data already filled out in the form so you can repopulate it when the page is refreshed.
All in all, JavaScript is a much more efficient solution and the only reason I could see justifying not using it would be if you expected your users to have JavaScript disabled.

How to display factory calendar in web UI.

Dear Experts,
Is it possible to display factory calendar (with holidays marked) on click of a F4 for the date field in web UI? I have seen this in SAP GUI screens and need to have the same in the web UI as well. Usually for any date type field, the F4 is provided by the framework automatically and i am not sure if there is any setting which we can do to override that with the factory calendar.
I would appreciate if you can share the sample code with me.
