Display a file name in th URL instead of the procedure name

Hi ,
I’ve created a Portlet that would show a word doc stored in a blob when a user clicks on a link. However only the procedure name that downloads the word document from the BLOB appears in the URL but not the actual file name. Is there a way to show the actual file name in the URL instead of the PL/SQL procedure name ??

Hi Samer_asn,
I am trying to do exactly what you did.
Can you tell me how you could retrieve the word doc from blob and show it in a portlet when a user clicks on a link
Thanks in advance
Jay

    Complied chm file displays 'HTML help' on the title bar instead of the window name.
    I tried several ways like:
    1. Changed File>Project settings name and also set the language to English (US).
    2. Checked the Title name in .hhp file
    3. Used the window while compling.
    4. Robohelp language settings.
    5. Also uninstalled and reinstalled robophelp.
    But nothing helped
    The title name is displayed correctly if the same project is compiled on another machine.

    When the code in the HHP and the regional settings on a PC match, the correct title is displayed. Or other way around is also true the help title is displayed in the language specified in the help project IF (and only if) the regional settings of the PC match that language. Otherwise, "HTML Help" is displayed.
    Hope this help.
    Thanks and Regards,

    iPhoto won't recognize my iPhone 3Gs.  just says there's an "apple iPhone" instead of the device name, and says there are no files to download, but there are 62 items on my phone... what's going on?  as far as I can tell I have everything up to date and it's always worked in the past.

    Have you already confirmed your Mac as a trusted device?  Try this:
    Lauch iTunes.
    Connect the Phone/iPad
    When it asks you to trust it, say yes.
    Now try again to import.

    Hi Siva,

  • When using Quite Imposing Plus the resulting file is only given a Temp name which will be sent as the document name.

    Our company has recently upgraded form Acrobat Professional 8 to Acrobat professional XI. We also use the Quite Imposing Plus plug-in in both versions. Now when using Quite Imposing Plus the resulting file is only given a Temp name which will be sent as the document name to the printer unless the imposed document is first saved. This was not the case in Acrobat Professional 8. I have attached a screen shots that shows an example.
    Is there any reason why this is happening and how can we stop it.

    Thank you for your advice although I think you may be incorrect as the naming of the documents made with Quite Imposing is correct in Acrobat 8.
    After reading the comment below it would seem something has changed from version nine onwards.
    Going forward we plan on changing the way we save and send our imposed documents to print but thank you for your time.

    Steven DeSalvo

    Hi StevenDE2012,
    Based on the error message "The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError)", it seems that the Unattended Execution Account settings in Reporting Services
    Configuration is not correct.
    Reporting Services provides a special account that is used for unattended report processing and for sending connection requests across the network. Unattended report processing refers to any report execution process that is triggered by an event rather than
    a user request. The report server uses the unattended report processing account to log on to the computer that hosts the external data source. This account is necessary because the credentials of the Report Server service account are never used to connect
    to other computers. To configure the account, please refer to the following steps:
    Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server instance you want to configure.
    On the Execution Account page, select Specify an execution account.
    Type the account and password, retype the password, and then click Apply.
    In addition, please verify you have access to the Report Server database by following steps:
    Go to SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Manager, make sure the configuration is correct.
    Go to Database, Verify that you can connect to the database.
    Make sure you are granted public and RSExecRole roles.
    Reference:
    Configure the Unattended Execution Account
    Configure a Report Server Database Connection
    If the problem is unresolved, i would appreciate it if you could give us detailed error log, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.

  • How do I get the procedure name

    Hi,
    With help of our application we are updating one table (P_Balance) in this account status and date through some procedures.
    in some situation only account status column get proper value, but date column having NULL value.
    Now we decided to track this, through which procedure this date column get updated null value.
    For this I decided to write one trigger for the table "P_BALANCE" through which procedure this update is happening.
    How do I get the procedure name.

    You could use DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_CALL_STACK and do it. Something like this.
    SQL> create table track_call_stack
      2  (
      3     program_name varchar2(30),
      4     call_stack varchar2(4000)
      5  );
    Table created.
    SQL> create table t
      2  (
      3    no integer
      4  );
    Table created.
    SQL> create or replace trigger t_trig before insert on t for each row
      2  begin
      3    if :new.no is null then
      4       insert into track_call_stack
      5       (
      6          program_name,
      7          call_stack
      8       )
      9       values
    10       (
    11          'T_TRIG',
    12          dbms_utility.format_call_stack
    13       );
    14    end if;
    15  end;
    16  /
    Trigger created.
    SQL> insert into t values (null);
    1 row created.
    SQL> select * from track_call_stack;

                                   3a7ac0ea8         1  anonymous block
                                   3a2bb9d78         3  ARBORU.T_TRIG

      2  as
      3  begin
      4      insert into t values (null);
      5  end;
      6  /

    SQL> create or replace procedure p2

  • WLAN Controller Displays Interface IP in Web Authentication URL Instead of FQDN

    Hi,
    Can someone offer any help with the issue below please?
    I have a guest wlan configured on a Cisco 2106 WLAN controller. Guest users are redirected to a Web Authenticaion page when they try to access the internet through a web browser, and can only proceed by succesfully authenticating with the controller.
    The problem I have is that the guest users are presented with an SSL certficate error before they hit the web authentication page. I have installed an SSL certificate from Verisign on the controller, and have configured an FQDN for the interface that is used for the guest wlan. However, the certificate error still persists because when the user is re-redirected to the web auth page, the URL in the address bar is presented as the IP address of the interface instead of the FQDN, For example, when a user is redirected, the address bar in their web browser displays; https://1.1.1.5/ instead of https://guestwifi.domain.com/ The SSL certificate that is installed on the controller is securing the FQDN of the interface.
    I'm not sure if i'm missing something here, but i'm struggling to find how to get the FQDN to display instead of the IP.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    I'm not following what you mean when you sayd "FQDN for the interface that is used for the guest wlan"......
    I assume you configured the Virtual Interface  to have the dns entry as guestwifi.domain.com but clients are still being redirected to the virtual IP itself and not the dns name?
    The only reason I can think of for that happening was if the WLC had not been rebooted since applying the DNS name to the Virtual Interface (it takes a reboot to modify client redirect stuff, the same goes for http vs https).
    so guestwifi.domain.com should have a DNS entry resolving to 1.1.1.5, that entry should be on your virtual interface, and upon reboot you should always redirect to guestwifi.domain.com unless you manually type https://1.1.1.5 in the browser.

  • Running Windows 7, all versions of Firefox beyond 3.6.0 will not access websites, showing Error 404 and displaying only the portion of the URL that follows the domain name

    Choosing any of several dozen bookmarks, Firefox will show a screen reporting Error 404 and display only part of the complete URL (whatever follows the slant mark beyond the domain name). When going to a new site, such as provided by a Google search, the initial page may show up but clicking on links within that page again brings up the 404 error. My only solution has been to uninstall whatever new version of Firefox has been automatically downloaded and then re-install version 3.6.0, which works.

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

  • Can the application shortcut point to an actual URL instead of the cache

    Hi,
    I am pretty new to Webstart and am trying to figure out if the application shortcut can actually point to some URL like http://www.something.com/abc.jnlp
    instead of pointing to some value in the cache. I would like to know if this is possible and if so how can I achieve this - also will doing this if possible always download all the application jars regardless of whether they have been cached or not. Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
    thanks

    The shortcut that JWS creates actually does point to your URL -- in a round about way.
    When you first run the application it pulls down the jnlp and all the files for your application (jars, etc) and places them in the cache directory.
    The shortcut points to the cache area where these files were downloaded to and the jnlp file is in here (somewhere - I have yet to figure out how the cache works). Your jnlp file has your root URL and JWS (if set in your jnlp) will always try to go to your URL and check if there are newer files.
    Technically, there is no reason to have it point straight to your URL since it is in the cached jnlp file and it will check if it needs an update. One interesting side note is that sometimes the desktop shortcut created during application install just disappears. I'm not sure why and I don't think the Sun dev team can fix that since they recently add a "Create shortcut for application" button in the javaws application console.
    One thing that we do for our customers is to simply create a web shortcut that point directlys to our servers jnlp (which is more or less what your are looking to do). You can't get JWS to do this for you -- it would be counter to the idea of being able to run the application locally, which would be needed if there is no network available.
    If you do not want to have the user cache (install) the application then you might want to look at the JWS console settings -- maybe turn cache down to 0 -- but the shortcut will always point to a local jnp I think.
    If anyone can comment on any of these details I would like to hear if I have this all 100% and any other details on these things

  • Recently Firefox is not displaying PDF files. It acts like it loads the PDF but there is nothing there but the 'program' that the document should be shown in.

    This started with Firefox 20 and still persists with Firefox 21. It never happened before. Everything is up to date. However, the PDFs don't display. Sometimes I can see the progress bar showing a load and sometimes it's just the normal PDF program background, but regardless, it is not displaying. What's happening with this?
    By the way, I end up having to go to Chrome to view the PDF since I cannot get them to work in Firefox.

    Firefox 19 introduced an integrated PDF viewer. Unfortunately, it can't handle all of the formats and features supported by the Adobe plugin (yet). To switch, check out this article: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]]. Does that solve it?
