Display a subform at run time

I have two diff options and depending on what option I choose different subforms would show on the page? How do I do this?

I am still not able to get it right. in the "formready" event of the page I wrote
xfa.form.form1.pg1.subform1.presence="invisible";
so that it is not visible when the form is loaded..it works fine..but when I choose from the drop down list..using the above code..it doesnt work...
but if i donot load it as invisible and then i choose the value (lets say 3) from the drop down it becomes invisible but if i then change the value in drop down(say 2)..it does not become visible again.

    I've a query regarding displaying two different sheets at run time in Oracle discoverer based on the value of the parameter that i give.
    I've a parameter Summary_flag.
    If the value of the parameter is 'Y',then it should display a sheet,say for example it should display Sheet1.
    If the value is 'N',then it should display another sheet, say for example it should display Sheet2.
    Is there any way in which i can accomplish this?
    I went through the Format and Tools menus but couldnt find anything regarding this aspect.
    Can you help me out?

    Having a Disco parameter dictate which worksheet is displayed is not an option that is available. There are a few workarounds, though:
    1. Have a portlet (or some other web interface) accept your parameters, and then call the appropriate worksheet.
    2. Have 2 worksheets, and have it devolve into a training issue (for a summary run this, for all the details run this).
    3. Create calculations that will show or hide column data depending on the parameter selected - the columns will still be there, and you can fill them in with blanks, or a message like "N/A for Summary".
    4. Create a report that will allow the users to drill between the summary and detail data - I'm not sure whether you could use a parameter to then say whether the report should open up summarized or expanded.

  • Images are not displaying in the forms run time.

    Hello All,
    I am using forms 10.1.2.3.0 and database 11g in the windows XP platform.
    I am not able to see the images in the buttons at the run time. I have done the following setup for the same but still I am not able to display images in the buttons. I have gone through all the previous threads for the same. Can any body suggest where I am doing the wrong?
    1) Created one JAR file with the below command putting all the gif files in a folder (All the GIF files are in lower case). Kept this jar file in the forms/java folder. (When I am extracting the JAR file getting all the gif files and one more folder META-INF).

    2) Modified the formsweb.cfg file as follows.
    imageBase=codeBase
    archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,icon.jar
    3) In the buttons property Iconic = Yes and Iconicfile name = icon_print (gif file name).
    4) Modified the Registry.dat file in the path "forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat" as follows.
    default.icons.iconpath=forms/java
    default.icons.iconextension=gif
    Start the OC4J instance, and run the application, but still not able to see the images in the buttons. After I modified the regedit file I am able to see the images in the design time but not in the run time.
    Any thing more needed to do the same. All the suggestions are welcome.

  • ALV GRID Display function module giving Run time error

    Hello Experts,
    I have ALV report, In which I am using ALV grid dispaly FM to display the report.
    But when my out table which I am passing to FM is empty that time ALV grid display shows blank ALV report. but when out table is not empty that time  I am getting the Run time error, which shows message "Field symbol has not yet been assigned".

  • Display specified record in run time

    I am using report wizard in report builder to develop a report and display it through the web browser.
    The Query that I entered is :
    Select * from empMaster
    Question: If I want to display some specified record in RUNTIME(like, Select * from empMaster where Name='Peter'), what should I need to do? I am using web report tester to generate the web report. Do I need to add something in HTML in order to display specified record.
    I have tried to use xml file which customize the report to control the output.

    the easiest way is to
    1) create a parameter e.g. called my_where
    2) rephrase the query to
    select * from empMaster &my_where
    if you then run the report you can pass the where-clause to your report as a parameter. you can also enforce the parameter-form by passing the additional parameter PARAMFORM=HTML

    I encountered a question when I put the code "subFormName.instanceManager.addInstance(1);"
    into the subForm's initialize event to dynamic create a new subForm(it's a XDP document).It create 3 new subForms below the original subForm,but when I put the same code into a button's click event or save the document as "Acrobat 7 (static) PDF Form" format,it's all right.what's wrong with it?

    There are some restrictions concerning what one can do in each event. I imagine that you can't add instances into a subforms initialize event. If you need three more instances to show, set the minimum on the Object Binding tab to four.

  • Trouble displaying a JPanel at run time

    What I'm doing is using a JBGrid component to dispaly all open quotations for a specific prospect. The user is to select a row in the grid and click on the btnLoad object. I would like that event to fire this method (it does this just fine as I've put System.out.printlns into the method to verify).
    The issue is that the the line of code( pnlData.add(new QuoteDetail(currentQuote)); ) doesn't redisply the panel so that I can see it. I have placed System.out.printlns into the QuoteDetail class' init function and they show that it it getting loaded. I was told by a co-worker that I may have to use .invalidate() and .repaint() after doing such a task in order for the screen to be dispalyed correctly. it hasn't worked. I've tried to use invalidate on pnlData and this and neither has produced the results I'm looking for.
    Any ideas of what I can try next? Thanks in advance.

    I kept playing with it and found that this is working. Not exactly sure why I'd have to perform a .validate at this point because I'm adding JPanels to other JPanels quite often without performing this. But heh, it works so I'm running with it.

    Is it possible to set the number of records displayed block property at run time? The built-in 'GET_BLOCK_PROPERTY' can retrieve the number of RECORDS_DISPLAYED.     Block property 'Number of Records Displayed' can not be changed during runtime
    using SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY. However, it is still possible programmatically change
    the visual appearance of the form so that it creates effect of changing this
    property. To achieve such an effect follow these steps:
    1. in Forms Builder, in the multirecord block define the new set of items.
    The simplest way is to copy/paste the original item and rename created item.
    2. set properties of these new items so that they are the same as the properties
    of the original items. If these new items were copied from original items
    then properties are already the same. Modify following properties
    'Database item' on new items to value 'No'
    'Synchronize with item' to the value of the original item
    'Number of Items Displayed' to desired value.
    'Visible' to 'No'
    In other words, these new items are mirrors of original items.
    3. code event, which is meant to trigger the change in block appearance.
    This code should use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY built-in to set properties
    like 'VISIBLE', 'ENABLED', 'NAVIGABLE', 'UPDATE_ALLOWED' and others

  • How to display "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog?

    I'm learning how to develop an IVI-C specific driver using LabWindows/CVI. When I run my function from its function panel and it returns an error, I would like to display a dialog with both the error code and error message (as opposed to simply returning an error code on the function panel). This would save the user from having to call Prefix_error_message() to translate the error code to its error message. NI-DCPower driver is a good example of this behavior (see attached error dialog). How do I show the "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Thank you for replying to my post. The checkErr is just an error handling macro defined in ivi.h to goto Error: tag when the function returns a non-zero value. I have been using the checkErr macro (as well as viCheckErr and other macros) in my driver.
    Using the same hp34401a specific driver as an example, please allow me to explain my question in more details:
    Let's take the hp34401a_close function as an example. It is a simple function with only a few lines of code:
    When the hp34401a_close function is run from its front panel using an invalid session handle (e.g. "8" in this screen capture):
    You will get three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs, one from each of the IVI library functions that it calls: Ivi_LockSession, Ivi_UnlockSession, and Ivi_Dispose. However, there is no "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialog from the hp34401a_close itself.
    My IVI-C specific driver is behaving identical to the hp34401a specific driver.
    In comparison, if run niDCPower_close function from its front panel using an invalid session handle (using the same "8" in this screen capture):
    You will only get one "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" from the niDCPower_close function itself:
    I think the behavior of niDCPower driver is much better than the hp34401a driver. It replaces the three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs from the IVI library with a single "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" popup dialog from the driver function itself. I would like to do the same thing with my driver but have not figured out how to display a "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog. Thanks in advance for your help!

    I an using fusion 11.1.2.1 32 bit. I have Copied the Icons as well as GIF files in C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_FRHome1\forms\java folder.
    At button property i set Iconic to yes
    and file = addrow
    Icon not display at run time.
    but when i set file = abc.GIF
    image is displaying at run time.
    My doubt is that ICO file not displaying at run time while GIF file are displaying.
    Do i need to change configuration ?

    Verify that the Icon file type appears on the File Types tab. If the Icon file type does not appear in the Registered File Types box, skip to step 10.
    Click Icon in the Registered File Types box, and then click Edit.
    Verify that the following settings exist, and then click OK:
    The Description Of Type box contains Icon.
    If there is a Confirm Open After Download check box, it should be selected.
    If the settings do not appear exactly as listed in step 4, click Remove, click Yes, and then click OK. If the settings do appear as listed in step 4, skip to step 10.
    Click New Type.
    In the Description Of Type box, type Icon.
    In the Associated Extension box, type ICO.
    Click OK, and then click Close.
    Use Registry Editor to view theHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.icokey, and then verify that the default string contains the following value:icofileIf the .ico key does not exist, create it, and then insert the value listed above. If any other values exist in the .ico key, delete them.

    Create a new key in the icofile key called DefaultIcon , and type %1 as this key's default value.
    Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

    1. Create a “icons” folder and place all your gifs in there
    i.e. “c:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1\forms\java\<icons>”
    2. From within icons folder make a jar file of all the gif images:

    At this point your icons should work normally, but if you get a security check of Java for gif files then proceed to the next step to fix this. TIP: May need to restart the weblogic/forms server for changes to take effect.
    6. Sign your jar file with oracles sign_webutil.bat sign-tool.

                  Regarding the skip/force pass/force fail options, when I set the ControlExecFlow to True in Teststand 3.1 and 3.5, in the Sequence Editor the menu options for skip/force pass/force fail are not active for Technician but, when I launch the Operator Interface logged with Technician the options are active. The problem is that if the technician sets one step to one of these options, and change the user to Operator, the test step remains skip/force pass.
                  Is there any possibility without modifying the Operator Interface (at programming level), to reload default values of the steps when changing the user to Operator?

    Basically my page do search in the database which takes some time. so when search starts I would like to display the progress indicator or some thing which will show some processging is going on in background. Once it completes the background processing, the same page displays the result. At this time I want to hide the progress indicator.
    Is there any way to do this. I am using EA17 with JDev.

    Here's is what i came up with:
    YOu can run one query to get the list of all columns from a table using the following SQL code:
    SELECT COLUMN_NAME
    FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS
    WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'Customers'
    Once you do that you can run the query for your table with the selected columns with the following applet property code:

    User the following to extract all selected rows:

    I'm receiving ABAP Run time error when display the Customs Exp. Declarations Under SAP Customs Processing -> Customs Processing - Import / Export -> Monitoring.
    Error messaging point to Function Module - /SAPSLL/CUHD_LOAD_SELECTION.
    While debugging we found that Primary Key of the below structures are not the same
    lt_corpar                              type      /sapsll/corpar_t
    lt_corpar_ht       type      /sapsll/corpar_k02_ht
    Does anyone has the SAP Notes or solution to this issue other than changing the structures manually. I'm not sure about the impact if i change manually

         "/SAPSLL/CUHD_LOAD_SELECTION".
        The main program was "/SAPSLL/CULO_DISPLAY_CUS_EXP ".
        In the source code you have the termination point in line 144
        of the (Include) program "/SAPSLL/LCUHD_SELECTIONU01".
    We are on GTS Release 8.0 and Support Package SAPK-80014INSAPSLL (Support pack level 14).

    I have implemented SAP Note 1531799, but it hasn't resolved the current issue.
    For Our GTS instance, there are 2 Feeder Systems (ECC) attached, but document transfer in one of the system has not been activated. Both having the same partner functions ( We copied the sandbox into 2 different instances for different business Testings and now these 2 instances attached to GTS for testing). These feeder systems have different Logical system names and Logical system groups.

  • [Forum FAQ] Fixing scheduled task Next Run Time displaying as expired time plus days to delete

    Symptom:
    We used Task Scheduler to create a scheduled task. For example, we configured a daily task, starting from 3 AM 9/3/2014, recurring the task every 1 day, and set the expiration time as 3 AM 9/3/2015 (See Figure 1). Under
    Settings tab, we checked If the task is not scheduled to run again, delete if after:
    option, and set the value as 30 days (See Figure 2).
    However, in the Task Scheduler Library snap-in, we saw that the Next Run Time of the task is 3AM 10/3/2015, which equals expiration date plus days to delete (See Figure 3), but the right value should be 3 AM 9/2/2014 because the task has never been run.

    Cause:
    This is a Task Scheduler interface displaying issue. Although the next run time that is displayed in the Task Schedule is incorrect, the trigger will be fired correctly.
    Solution:
    We can install the hotfix in the following KB article to fix the displaying issue, though the symptom in the article is different.

    After installing the hotfix, we need to restart computers to make it take effect.
    In this example, after installing the hotfix and restarting the computer, we see that the next run time of the task is displayed correctly in Task Scheduler (Figure 4).

    I am not running out of space, but I do have the same problem.  Every so often TM does a backup which is about 60 GB bigger than expected.   The  extra is always a new backup of /System /Applications /usr etc. - that is the 'system files'.
    The key thing is, as you have noticed:
    Examining the content of the latest backup, the one that did not fail, shows that some system directories, /Applications, /usr, and /bin are missing
    As a consequence the next backup is, in my case, 60 GB bigger because it includes all the system files.
    It is as if 'systemFilesExcluded' was turned on for the previous backup (the one that 'did not fail').  But I have looked in the .exclusions.plist for this backup and it is exactly the same as for other backups and does include:
            <key>systemFilesExcluded</key>
            <false/>
    It seems that TM is treating this as if <true/>.
    Like you, I have done a disk verify and it finds no errors.
    I think this must be a bug.  I have had this on four occassions since upgrading to Mountain Lion.  And it is doing a large one right now - I have caught it in the act!
