Display event without showing the date in calendar?
I'm not exactly a "power user", so the answer to this may be obvious... but it drives me crazy that when I enter a new event in iCal, it displays on the calendar with the date and time, then the name of the event. Sometimes if I don't have the calendar window maximized, I can't even see the name of the event.
I don't understand why if an event is in the calendar box for, say, February 5th, it would display the event as "Tuesday, February 5th, 2:45pm, Event Name". Obviously, if it's in the box for that date, I don't need the date spelled out for me! "Event Name, 2:45pm" would be so much better.
But I can't find any Preference that allows me to specify how an event is displayed on the calendar... if anyone knows how to do this, it would greatly improve my experience of iCal...
TIA!
now that is a puzzler, as I have never seen that behavior?!
does this happen in any of the views, as in day/week?
does this happen in any calendar you have created? can you create a new test calendar and see if you still get the date in a new event? finally can you log in as another user, create a test user if need be, and then launch ical, create a new event, and see if you get the same issue then.
I would suggest you delete the com.apple.ical.plsit file located in homefolder/library/preferences, and see if that helps any.
let me know

Can I print a calander without showing the times of events?
Can I print a calander without showing the times of events. Or, alternatively, is there a way to list things without having them be an event. Just notes on the day, for instance.
It seems like a simple solution must be at hand. There is an option in the iCal Preferences (General) panel--Show event times. With this command unchecked the screen view of the month view is free of the times of day, but when I print the month view the times of day are printed.

My imported movie shows up in the event library under 2006 date, month of march, the movie name. I want the movie to show up in the event library under the date I choose and the movie name. How do I do this?
rogerhermans wrote:
I did change the name of the event. I cannot change the date of the event in the Modify command. The date and month was selected by the system as I did not name my event to start with. I now want to change the date (from 2006 to 1987) , delete the month and show the event name. I want the event library to post all my events by year (specified by me) and name of event.
you can change the date, so that FCPX categorizes it properly. First delete the clip(s) from FCPX, but not from your computer entirely, make sure you have the originals somewhere.
Open a terminal window and use the following command:
touch -t 198711280800.00 <path/filename of clip>
Where the format is: (use leading zeros if necessary for date & time)
first four digits: year
next four: month and day
next four: time of day (in 24 hour format)
next 2: seconds as a decimal (this is optional, if you leave it off you will get 00 seconds)
The above example will change the file date to Nov. 8, 1987 08:00:00 AM
This will change the created, modified and last access dates of the clip/file.
Then reimport the clip(s) and FCPX should categorize it properly. -
Nokia N8 Calendar Does not Show the Dates????
Hi,
I am noticing this issue from the past couple of weeks and probably after the last update.
When I open the calendar Icon, the dates do not load on the phone. It just doesnt show any dates?
Also if a reminder is past, it shows a past reminder and the reminder also doesnt open up.
Whenever I do the hard re-boot i.e keep the power button pressed till it vibrates three times and shuts and re-starts, then initially the calendar shows the dates, but again after sometime if I have to open the calendar, it doesnt show the dates at all, and goes back to the same issue.
Please advise a good solutiong to this problem as a hard re-boot or a re-start or even re-setting the factory settings did not work
ThanksSomeone from the Nokia forum please respond to this as I am facing this issue too from quite sometime now. Its exactly he same.

Using the Insert statement in a Java program without hardcoding the data
hello.
this is james mcfadden. i have developed a program called Demo.java, which is used with another program called QueryTableModel.java (a program that allows data to be viewed in a JTable). The Demo.java program displays a menu, connects to a database, allows the user to add data into the database and allows the user to view data that is already in the database. I have a problem with the Demo.java program. I have hardcoded the Insert statement in it. How do you use the Insert statement to put data into a database without hardcoding the data?

Not showing the Data in VC application
Hi I have developed the application in VC.
It is showing the data some times , it is not showing the data. Can u please let me know what is the problem.
when i checked using the Test Data service . It is showing the data. Then i have developed step by step, in between the time i use to run the application , it was showing the data. finally i have assigned to some role and user id. then also it is showing the data.
Next day after i run the application , it is not showing the data. displaying the message .
"No Data Found".
But when i run the BAPI at the back end R/3 it is giving the data properly.
Can u tell me what might be the problem
REgards
VijayHi Krishna,
check the logs in the NWA. It seems that your connection is broken down sometimes, maybe a timeout. How many records does your data service return?
Check it with external debugging of the BAPI, when you can reconstruct the error.
Best Regards,

Hi! My name is Tom from San Diego, CA. I have the exact same question as you. That is, I would like to be able to print out a photo from iphoto with the date that picture was taken displayed on the face of it. In this way, someone looking at that picture in a photo album years later would know when it was taken. Did you ever find a method to print copies of photos out of iphoto with the date displayed on the print? Thanks for your help! -
How to set the filter on a report to show the data for the Current Month
Hi all,
I am working on a report, which currently has this filter: Date First Worked is greater than or equal to 10/01/2010. This reports show the data for the current month, so at the beginning of each month we have to remember to change the date on the filter.
Does anyone know what the criteria should say, so that it automatically changes and shows the information for the current month, without us having to go in and change anything?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
AAYou need to add a session variable to date fir worked assuming that this is a date field.
To do this open up the filter on the field then at then press add Variable then "session" and enter the following CURRENT_MONTH into the Server Variable section. -
Calendar help: how do I get One event to show up on two calendars
Calendar help: how do I get One event to show up on two calendars? For example I want to enter vacation only once but I wanted to show up on the calendar that I share with my husband and the calendar I have with my assistant.
The signature should show up with each account. Usually the complaint is not having an option for multiple signatures or not being able to have a different signature for each account.

What does one do when iPhoto version 7.1.5 only opens one event without showing all photos or any other events?
Depends -what other clues? What recently changed? Do you have a good current backup? best guess is to Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - and repair the database - if that does not resolve things rebuild your iPhoto library database

How to show the data of one query since Forms9i using to Report built-in on
Hello!!!, I have Developer 9i (Forms and Reports), the OCJ4 and repserver90 are running, now, I attempt to run one report from Forms9i, and only it appears an empty page HTML. I don't understand why doesn't show the data of query?
Please, give me a solution for this problem, thanks for your help.
PD: I am using the below code.......
PROCEDURE bring_report IS
repid REPORT_OBJECT;
v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
rep_status VARCHAR2(20);
BEGIN
repid := find_report_object('Q_DATA1');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_COMM_MODE,SYNCHRONOUS);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'html');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_SERVER,'repserver90');
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
rep_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(v_rep);
WHILE rep_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
LOOP
rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
END LOOP;
IF rep_status = 'FINISHED' THEN
/*Display report in the browser*/
WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://172.16.2.18:8888/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||
substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repserver90','_blank');
ELSE
message('Error when running report');
END IF;
END;Alex,
the code does look good. maybe the Reports query does not produce an output. You can trace this ny adding a header on top of teh Reports (e.g. a date or just saying "Hello World"). So instead of an empty page this should now show the text strings. If you don't see the string then there is something else going on. Since you are not getting any error message I assume that the Reports itself executes fine.

Best regards,
SurbakticvsSpecMapping is a resource and not a property so you should set the DataContext using the StaticResource markup extension instead of Binding:
<StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" Margin="0, 5" DataContext="{StaticResource cvsSpecMapping}">
Also, the Source property of a CollectionViewSource is supposed to be set to a collection:
private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
sm = new Models.SpecimenMapping();
var cvsSpecMapNames = (CollectionViewSource)(this.FindResource("cvsSpecMapping"));
cvsSpecMapNames.Source = new List<Models.SpecimenMapping>() { sm };
You may also want to set a default value of the HL7SpecimenTypeName property to confirm that the binding actually works after you have done the above changes:
public class SpecimenMapping : INotifyPropertyChanged
private const int MAX_HL7SPECIMENTYPENAME_LEN = 250;
#region class properties
private string _hl7SpecimenTypeName = "def....";
public string HL7SpecimenTypeName
get { return _hl7SpecimenTypeName; }
set
if (value != _hl7SpecimenTypeName)
_hl7SpecimenTypeName = EnforceMaxLength(value, MAX_HL7SPECIMENTYPENAME_LEN);
NotifyPropertyChanged();
Hope that helps.

Showing the Date (month & day) in the Menu Bar, Not just the Day of the Wee
Since upgrading to 10.5 from 10.4, I've noticed that the menu bar no longer shows the date (month and day, it just shows the day of the week.
Is there a way to get the menu bar to show the month and day again as it did in 10.4?Tiger had to be changed in the same way as Leopard.
Start by opening the International Preferences panel, and clicking the Formats tab.
In the Dates section, click Customize. Click the Show pop-up and select your choice of Short, Medium, etc. Now place the elements you want in the small "work area," by dragging and dropping them from the Date Elements section. Once placed, you can click on some elements to see other options (Wednesday or Wed, for instance). Once you've built the date string you want, click once in the work area, and hit Command-A then Command-C to select the string and copy it. Now click Cancel to close the window without making any changes.
In the Times section, click Customize, and set the Show pop-up to Medium. In the small work area below the pop-up, place the curser where you want the date elements to start, and click to position the cursor. Now hit Command-V to paste the elements you just copied. You can further add characters and spaces to customize the look. If you want to remove an element (i.e. the year), click on it and use the Delete key. Click OK, and you'll see the results in the menubar.
