Display issue in Bex Report

Hi all,
I have a requirment in my report where in i would not like to display the -ve values as negative in the columns. I do not have the option to use NODIM() at the query level, because i am simultaneously switching between the column displaying actual values as well as being input ready. How can we eliminate the -ve sign from the values being displayed, so that the report display just the absolute numbers.
Kindly help.

Create Calculate KeyFigure where (YOURKF<0)(YORKF*-1)+(YOURKF>0)(YORKF).
I think in this way your will get absolute value

Issues with BEx Reports in SAP Enterprise Portal

Hello Experts,
I am facing issues with BEx reports integrated in portal. Below are more details:
Scenario 1:
Execute a BEx report in the portal, save it in 'My Portfolio' using 'Save As' button. Now open the saved report from 'My Portfolio'. Below is the issue for this scenario:
When I open the saved report, I get 2 error messages and 1 info message at the top of the report. They are as follows:
The metadata of 'ITE' 'TEMPLATE_PARAMETERS' are incorrect for parameter 'COMMAND_PROCESSING'
The metadata of 'ITE' 'FILTER_PANE_ITEM' are incorrect for parameter 'TEXT_WRAPPING'
Variables for characteristic Fiscal year/period[0FISCPER] cannot be processed
Scenario 2:
Execute a BEx report in the portal, save it in 'BEx Portfolio' or 'Favourites' using 'Save As' button. Now open the saved report and click on 'Send' button. As expected, the BEx broadcaster wizard should appear but, it shows '400 BAD HTTP REQUEST'. While if I open the report (not the saved one) and click on 'Send' button, it works.

I am not adding the report to favourite using browser favourite. Below is the flow:
Run the report in portal.
There is a 'Save As' button at the top of the report. When I click that button, I get a pop-up with 3 tabs for saving the report.:
Favourite
BEx Portfolio
My Portfolio
save the report in the favorites or BEx portfolio tab and then open it and press 'Send' button
BEx Broadcaster Wizard should appear but instead of that, it shows '400 BAD HTTP REQUEST'.
If I press send for unsaved report, then BEx broadcaster Wizard is shown.

Currency display issue in the report

Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue with the currency type CLP(Chilian Peso).
It is noted that the CLP currency doesn't use decimals.
In BW reports the values in Local Currency are not OK.
For example , the right value is 150.755 CLP in R3 side But in the BW report the value is 15.075.500, 00 CLP which is misleading.
Could any one help me how to solve this issue.
In TCURX the following settings are maintained

I think following things are happening.
u2022     Updating The Amount Value into BW data target.
When we load the data into BW having amount field in it ,it checks for the TCURX table for the currency entry.
If the currency entry is present in TCURX table it divides the amount by 10**(2-CURRDEC entry in TCURX table)).
u2022     Displaying the amount into BEx reports.
The exactly converse happens while displaying such values in the report output,The amount values will be multiplied by 10**(2-(CURRDEC entry in TCURX table)) while diplaying the report output.

Strange performance issue in bex report

Hello Experts,
I have a performance issue on my bex report.
I'm running the report with below selection criteria and getting 'too much data' error.
Country : equals EMEA
Category: not equlas 13
Date : 02/2010 to 12/2010.
But when I ran the report for smaller date ranges the number of records are not exceeding 13000.
02.2010 - 06.2010 - 6,555 rows
07.2010 - 09.2010 - 3,671 rows
10.2010 - 12.2010 - 2,780 rows
I know excel can't fit more than 65000 records, but I'm expecting 13000 records for my wide date range which excel can easily fit.
Any ideas on this one will be appreciated.

For Question 1:
In query designer Go to the Query properties and select the tab "Variable Sequence", here you can set the order of variables as per you requirement.
For Question 2:
There will be a option "Hide Repeated Key values", if you uncheck this option then you will have the values for each row even though the material values are same.
Note; if you are viewing the report in web or WAD report you need to make the same changes in the Web template also because the settings in the query designer will be overridden when you run the query in web.

Display Image in Bex Report

Hi All,
I have a requirement where the client wants to dsiplay the image of a particular characteristics in the Bex report.
For example, they have a charaacteristic Material, and they have the images of all the materials. The requirement is to display the image of the particular material wherever it appears in any report.
Can somebody let me know if this is possible and if yes how this can be done? I want to know how the master data (with the images) will be maintained and how it can be implemented on the reporting side.

Issue with Bex report - key Figures not populating correctly.

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with a Bex report. There are three key figures of data type DATE having "Dec - Counter or amount field with comma and sign" datatype. After executing the query, in the report, for some sales documents the key figure fields are coming as 'X' and rest others are coming correctly in the date format as mm\dd\yyyy.
When i check in the cube, these key figures shows values in decimal format and not in date format. The conversion is happening during execution.
Pleas show me some light on how to identify the cause of getting 'X' for some Sales documents in the report eventhough some are coming correctly.

Hi,
The infobject has been defined with datatype "DATE" only. It has also been mapped from datasource to infocube correctly as these key figures are populating correctly for some of the sales documents in the report. It is not like that for all the sales documents the key figures are not converting properly.
Some Sales documents are not converting into the date fields but for some conversion happens properly in the BEx report. This is the issue.
Please guide accordingly.

Issue in BEx Report

Hi All,
Question 1 ) I have an issue in the variable selection screen, because i need to change the Variable field from 3 to 1 for e.g
1 ) TESTVAR1 (Material)
2) TEST VAR2(Vendor)
3) TESTVAR3(Plant)
Now i want to display Variable popup screen as shown below
1 ) TESTVAR3(Plant)
2) TEST VAR2(Vendor)
3) TESTVAR1( Material)
Please let me know how to fix it?
Question 2) In BEx Query, Report output for MAterial should be displayed as shown below
for E.g

But now , data is displayed for MAT100 only once under Material section ,for plant 3333 we are not able to see the material , Please let me know how to fix the issue.

I have made a ALV report, the presetn display layout is as below
it is displaying the material shortage reprot against issued production order

Hi Zafar,
You can populate your internal table as per the requirement.
at new order only.
itab-Order = 3000000 .
itab-Order quantity = 100.
append itab
for all materials for that order
itab-MATERIAL       =   610 .
itab-TOTAL QTY = 100 .
itab-SHORTAGE QTY = 5.
append itab.

Infoview report display Issue ?(Crystal reports)

hI ALL,
I am using BOXI 3.1 sp5 and crystal reports
I have 2 sub reports in a main report
Here is the main report : WIth no lot number on left side ; when i double click on sub report it is opening sub report and showing me Lot number

Second question is what Database are you using and what client and how are you connecting, ODBC, OLE DB or Native?
The issue sounds like the DB client is not ending data reading at the end of line ( OEF/EOL ) or the line is not marked with a null character or however it should be done.
Nothing in configuration would fix this... Something either in the client you are using, CR simply displays the data it gets, if the Client does not stop the data being read CR is going to show you that data also.
Could also be the Client is not capable of handling a 4K string so it's reading/filling in a buffer of random values and therefore shows garbage...
I suggest you upgrade first and if it's still an issue then make sure CR supports the version of data source you are using and if it's still a problem try posting to the DB Makers Forum and ask them to look into the issue.

Material Movements issue in BEX report

Hi Friends
We have one report which shows the report on the production date, batch number, number of expired
products and non expired products etc. recently in R/3, people have changed the production date
for few batches and now the BW report is displaying 2 production dates for the batches whose production date changed. the report is based on 0IC_C03. I need to display the production date of a batch when they first entered into the system and any changes to the production date to any batch should be ignored and should not be pulled into the report. Hope to get quick help on this.

Hi,
Could you please tell me how do you know which production date is entered first for batch. I think this job is difficult or even it can do this will make impact the performance because system has to check again and again when you view report . I suggest that to make sure one batch only have one production date you should put production date as the attribute of batch and use it as navigation attribute in cube.

Display issue in the report.

I have 4 fields in my report which are compunded by Plant, in my query I'm alread filtering on this plant, but still the coumpounded field is showing up in those fields in the results section. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Heera,
I dont think you can hide plant if it is compounded with a characteristic during reporting. Compounding itself is one way of identifying the uniqueness of the characteristic during reporting. To maintain the uniqueness of the record the characteristic with compounded value is displayed. Hope this helps you.

Date Format Issue IN BEX REPORT

Hi Experts,
we are working on BW 3.5.
we have a ODS where data is uploaded through flat file and there are 5 to 7 date field all made of Z infoobjects.
So now the user is putting the data for these Date fields as 20110901 = 1st sep2011. but in report its coming as 09/01/2011
when i checked all the Z fields that are created for this date fields have reference character as Date
only one field is character so it is coming correct as given by the user
but rest all are appearing in different format . In ODS also the date is coming as 09/01/2011
now the user want all the data to be in the same format as given by HIM.
I cant even change the properties of these Z info object removing the reference info object 0Date and make them character string.
so now please suggest how to upload the date given by the user as it is without changing the format and also how to change the format for the back data as its flat file so No data can be deleted.

Bex analyzer is an excel add-in. Date formats are based on your regional settings.
If you want to have a different date format in the sap gui then you have to change your user profile in sap system.
Flat file upload needs the date format in a database format (YYYYMMDD).
You can transform the date in the transformation step with rules or with a routine( abap coding).

Hi Anil,
Please run the Heirarchy attribute change run. It may give u the desired solution.
Administrator workbench-menubar Tools- apply hierarchy attribute change run.
after doing this run the query and check if the values are coming.

Display issue in oracle reports

Hi,
The end user is getting the following error when executing a job in Oracle reports.
" RWCGI GET JOB OUTPUT
Cannot get output of Job ID 4 you requested on December ,08 2008 , 11:35:18
Job is not done yet .Try again later"
The server version is ias10222/6iserver
The user just got the page that cannot get job ID
The error code I got from the net is REP-52251
I am core DBA but have take care of this report.
So please help me.

BEx report : Time diff HH:MM average Issue

below is my Issue with BEx report.
I have a table with has d1 and d2 and t1 and t2.
I want the diff between them in only HH:MM, using any of the function modules.
I have got the HH:HH value into my DSO.
Then I converted the HH:HH into HH:MM in the BEx.
Now my report requirement.
I want to display the report with yearly , monthly and daily information -
let say my boss wants to compare Average time ( HH:MM) between June and July of 2007.
the report should be
year ++++++++ month ++++++ daily ++++++++ rec#++++++++ diff
2007++++++++ June++++++++ 01++++++++ 123++++++++ 31.36
2007++++++++ June++++++++ 01++++++++ 124++++++++ 11.23
2007++++++++ June ++++++++ 03 ++++++++ 152 ++++++++ 18.21
2007++++++++ July ++++++++ 01++++++++ 157 ++++++++ 12.27
2007++++++++ July++++++++ 08 ++++++++ 124 ++++++++ 15.33
now when you look at the above report layout.....what i want is to display the average time ( diff) for month of june and july.
so the average time diff of the month of june will be ( total time / record count ). same for july.
so the result should be for
JUNE - (32.36 + 11.23 + 18.21) / 3
JULY - (12.27+15.33) / 2
also it should convert the decimals (MM) into hours after 60.
I am getting the sub total for month June as ((32.36 + 11.23 + 18.21) / 3).
Its not converting the MM in HH even after 60 Min. say for example its showning 40:67. but the correct value should be 41:07
hope you got my issue.could you please suggest the solution as to how can i get the correct value under the month sub- total.
