Display of row index in table footer

Hi,
Row no of first row is generally displayed in the footer of the table as
Row <first row rowno> of <total no of rows>.Eg Row 1 of 10.
Can this be changed to display row no of currently selected row insted of first row?
Thanks in advance,
Apurva.

Hi ,
You would not be able to extend the UI per se..
Instead you can make use of the property "firstVisibleRow" and "visiblerows" .
When a user clicks a button to bring down the entries by one
- increase the firstvisiblerow property by 1
when he wants to move to next page ,
- increase the firstvisiblerow property to firstvisiblerow+visiblerows
Use the table toolbar for scrolling..and placing your elements as it would always be properly aligned to your table..

Bharathwaj..

  • Unique row count in table footer

    JDev 11.1.1.6
    Hi,
    In my current table, I am able to show total row count at a table footer by using #{bindings.<myVO>Iterator.estimatedRowCount}.
    I have a request from my user to show unique total row count. For example rows below:
    1 A
    2 B
    3 A
    4 C
    The footer should show:
    4 3
    The second column has A, B, and C where A is counted only 1 (unique). Is there a way to achieve this?
    Thanks.

    Hi RRA,
    This may work for a static # of rows (no filtering). In the table I use, I can do filtering and that certainly will make the count result be different if I use another VO for distinct result.
    Thanks.

    How to retrieve distinct rows from oracle table without using 'DISTINCT' keyword in SQL?

    Welcome to the forum.
    Besides GROUP BY you can use UNIQUE instead of DISTINCT as well, but that's probably not wanted here ;) , and the ROW_NUMBER() analytic:

          { "Supply Chain", "Annual Leave", "2008", "Yearly", "20", "JC-16 Manager grade"},
         { "Finance", "Sick Leave", "2008", "Yearly", "23", "WL-2A"},

    But its not taking first row data in the table....
    will any one please help me where i did mistake.
    Regards
    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,
                     there is no problem in the below code :
    for (int i = 0; i < EMP.length; i++)
    IPrivateEtrecLeaveEligView.ILeaveElement element = wdContext. createLeaveElement();
    element.setDepartment(EMP[0]);
    element.setLeaveType(EMP[1]);
    element.setYear(EMP[2]);
    element.setTimeSpan(EMP[3]);
    element.setNumofdays(EMP[4]);
    element.setLevel(EMP[5]);
    wdContext.nodeLeave().addElement(element);
    //@@end
    but in the doinit method u have written this line  :
    wdContext.currentLeaveElement().setLocation("1");
    which means that , u have create a LeaveElement some where before this line and thats the reason the first row of ur table is empty.
    if the location value is same for all rows(for all leave element) then in the for loop set the value of the location as shown below:
    element.setLocation("1");
    Hope it helps
    Thanks and Regards

  • Display of selected row no in table footer.

    Hi,
    Row no of first row is generally displayed in the footer of the table as
    Row <first row rowno> of <total no of rows>.Eg Row 1 of 10.

  • How to display four rows in one table and the rest in another table?

    Hello everybody,
    I am trying to solve a problem that I cannot find any direct answers to.  In essence the problem goes like this:
    1) I want to populate two tables from xml data.
    2) The first table should only diplay the first four rows of data.
    3) The second table should display the rest of the rows (starting from row 5).
    I can create the first table so that it only shows up to the first four rows.
    I cannot find a way to set up the second table so that it shows the rest of the rows starting at row 5.
    To illustrate the problem I have attached my livecycle template file with the two table definitions and the corresponding xml data.  If you put these two files in the same directory and open the pdf file using LiveCycle designer you should see what I mean. (The table with column heading 'Item List 2' shows all of the records in the xml file when I only want it to show records 5 and 6)
    Some other niggling issue I have come up against is the data displays differently when I open the pdf file with Adobe Acrobat pro and then use the Forms/manage form data/import data menu to bind that xml file.  ( For some the 'Item List 2' table does not display any data)  Does anybody know why that is occurring?
    Any help on this would be very much appreciated because it will help me get past a significant issue I am running into with a complex form I am trying to build for a client of mine.
    Note:  I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 9 and the Adobe Livecycle is version 8.2.1
    Thanks in advance.
    Geoff.

    Hi,
    First solution is you can play with predicates:
    val value = 4
    var items= Ref(xfa.resolveNodes(concat("$record.itemsCollection.item.[itemNumber>""",value,"""]")))
    after that you will have to use addInstance and assign all fields by scripting. It is hard way.
    Second solution you can simply hide unneccessary rows by putting initialise script on item row:
    if (this.index <4){this.presence = "hidden" }
    Hope this helps.

  • How to avoid displaying empty rows in a table?

    The situation is as follows:
    I have got a set of questions under a particular category say marketing category.
    The user will be displayed with a table consisting of a set of questions from a particular category with four radio buttons for each question.
    Now once he is done with all the set of questions under a particular category, he will be navigated to the next set of questions under some other category say 'xyz'
    Now instead of creating seperate view objects for each category, we have created a view object which will hold all the set of questions from all the category but will display only the set of questions under a particular category by declaring a variable in the backing bean and setting the question rendering to the value in the variable. the value to the variable will be changed once the user is done with answering all the set of questions under a particular category.
    Now the problem that i am facing is:
    Because of the rendering condition that i have used, it displays only those rows that have the rendering condition set to the variable in the backing and displays all other empty rows overlapped.
    How do i avoid this situation ??

    Seems odd, but you could use COALESCE to achieve this.
    ME_XE?create table all_nullz (col1 number, col2 number, col3 number);
    Table created.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.20
    ME_XE?
    ME_XE?insert into all_nullz values (1,2,3);
    1 row created.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.12
    ME_XE?insert into all_nullz values (null, null, null);
    1 row created.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.06
    ME_XE?
    ME_XE?delete from all_nullz where coalesce(col1,col2,col3) is null;
    1 row deleted.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.26
    ME_XE?

  • SQL-display two rows in a table as one row in the select query

    Hi guys
    Sorry if this sounds a little odd.
    I have two tables
    Im sorry but i tried to format these tables in text to make them look like tables but this text processor deletes space based formatting.
    States
    state id | Name
    1 | california
    2 | New york
    3 | New hampshire
    .......so on
    Grades
    Gradeid | State id | Language | Avgscore |
    1 | 1 | ENG | 67 |
    2 | 1 | FRENCH | 76 |
    2 | 2 | SPANISH | 34 |
    Now i wanna write an sql query thats gonna display like
    State Name | State id | English | French | SPANISH|
    California | 1 | 67 | 76 | null
    New York | 2 | null | null | 34
    I know how to get just an sql query where i can say
    SELECT A.id, A.Name, G.Language,G.Avgscore
    FROM States A , Grades G
    where A.state_id = G.state_id
    and G.Language = 'English'
    How do i accomplish this?
    Thanks

    Regarding:
    Im sorry but i tried to format these tables in text to make them look like tables but this text processor deletes space based formatting.Use this tag: {noformat}{noformat}
    before and after your example, so formatting will be maintained when posting your example.
    Example, when you type:
    {noformat}select * from dual;
    {noformat}
    it will appear as:select * from dual;
    when you post it on the forum.

  • How can I display "detailStamp" facet selectively for rows in a table ?

    Hi,
    My JDEV version is Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.5.0
    I am trying to display "detailStamp" facet selectively .
    If I read api in link below
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26098_01/apirefs.1112/e17488/oracle/adf/view/rich/component/rich/data/RichTable.html
    Use the "detailStamp" facet on the Table to include a collapsable content area for each table row. Please note that the height of the open detail area will be a set height based on the height of the detailStamp component. Adding a component that changes in height (like showDetail or panelBox) will by default produce strange results when the detailStamp component's height changes.
    Detail Stamp can be selectively displayed for rows in the table by EL binding the "rendered" attribute of the "detailStamp" facet to "true" or "false". The EL binding can contain references to the table "var" attribute since during rendering it will be executed in the context of the row. Disclosure icon is displayed only for rows which have rendered="true".
    I can see that i can achieve it by setting rendered property for that facet. BUT this property is not available in Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.5.0

    Hi Frank.
    Thanks for your quick reply .
    But I am using Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.5.0 . In this version the property RENDERED of f:facet name="detailStamp" is NOT allowed.
    Edited by: user13764942 on Feb 7, 2013 5:48 AM
    Put in another way , I want to render the "detailStamp" facet selectively for rows , so for that I need the RENDERED property of "detailStamp" facet. This property is ONLY available in Jdev version 11.2 . I am using Jdev 11.1.1.5.0 so I need some alternative to RENDERED property as this property is NOT available in Jdev 11.1.1.5.0.
    Please suggest some way to achieve this behaviour of displaying "detailStamp" facet selectively ....
    Thanks!
