Display with negative tint

I have a MacBook and the display is much different and an option that i cannot find on the settings. The display on my screen has a negative view to it. As if you were looking at a picture film. I have all the current updates on it, the hard drive is only months old. I don't know what is wrong with it, if a setting what changed that I can't find or if my computer is messing up? what do I do? Please help.
Thanks in advanced.

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

  • Blotchy display with yellow tint.

    My 27" 2009 iMac i7 display has become extremely blotchy and has a yellowish-gray "horizon line" running across the bottom of the screen. I'm aware of the display issues with the first run of these machines, but was hoping mine squeaked by without these flaws. Apparently not. Any fixes out there or is it straight to the Genius Bar for me?

    My iMac, which seems to be equally spec'd to your's just developed this same issue last week.  I took it in on Saturday and I'm supposed to be picking it up this evening. Hopefully you were able to get yours taken care of, and hopefully mine looks just like new again when I pick it up tonight.  I'd heard lots of comments about this defect occuring when I was shopping for mine, but thought I'd escaped it, then out of no where it just popped up more than a year later.

  • The option 'Display Credit Balance with negative sign" was not activated.

    I've encountered with a huge problem after load opening balance.
    I forgot to tick the  option 'Display Credit Balance with negative sign"
    It makes my client's Chart of Account  uncommon such as credit balance in Cash Account, AR .....
    However, I've search the sap  note to solve it  as follow:
      Description of the bug::
    When creating the company in the system the option 'Display Credit Balance with negative sign' was not activated.
    Once transactions were created in the system the functionality can not be changed.
    Limits of the query:
    After running the update query, please restart SBO first and then   run the restore 'GL account and bp balances';
    otherwise, the cashed value of SBO will not be updated and restore function may not take effect.
    1. Meaning of  restart SBO => restart SBO Service Manager right?
    2. Please help me please to find "The restore G/L account and bp balances" form.  Where is it?;
    Thank you

    Hi,
    I would think that you are following the PEQ instructions for note 970813, correct?
    If this is the case and you are using 2007 then you will find the restorev in the top menu; Help -> Support Desk -> Restore. You will find the functions here. Please note that this should only be used on direct instruction from support or a note like in this case. A backup should also be taken before running restore.

  • How to display the number with negative sign in the front in ALV.

    most important, this ALV is also can totalize.
    can someone give me some suggestion?
    thanks
       jisuwen

    i hope you want a negative sign before a char but holding some number. then that case
    loop at itab.
    concatenate itab-char '-' into itab-char.
    modify itab.
    endloop.
    and you can display in ALV with negative sign...
    Totalling you need to Specify
    DO_SUM = 'X' while populating fieldcatalog...
    If subtotals then you have to Build sort table and based on that you can proceed./.
    examples are there you can find inn SLIS package..

  • Video is displaying in negative

    I have an intel iMac 17" bought in February. My kids logged on this morning to find that the video is displaying in negative, like a film negative. I first thought that maybe they downloaded some kind of skin or little app that let you change the look of the interface, but after I booted up WinXP in Parallels I found that XP was also affected.
    I then tested to see if the OS itself was defining the color-reversal by taking a screenshot, then printing it on a color printer. The color print came out normally. This suggests that the video card is the problem. If so, how do I fix it? I did check Software Update to see if there are any upgrades I need to install. The only thing that appears is the iMac EFI Firmware Update. I am going to run this now, and if this cures the problem somehow, I will post that the problem has been resolved. If not, then the problem still exists, and I would appreciate any help or suggestions to fix the problem. (This is the wife's Mac, and she ain't happy. Know what I mean?)

    Here is more research.
    After installing the EFI Firmware Update, the computer rebooted, and came back to the login screen. It was there that I realized that the login screen and background displayed just fine. I logged in to the main user, and I saw the screen initially flash with the correct colors, then immediately turn negative.
    After seeing this, I created a new user with full Admin privileges, and logged into it. The display was normal in the new user. So this appears to be some kind of preference problem, possibly a corrupt preference. But which one? Anybody know what I need to delete or change to fix this issue?

  • MacBookPro 3.1 display is negative mode, Apple Studio Display is positive

    When I have the laptop hooked up to the Apple Studio Display 17", all of a sudden, the 'polarity' switched on the display. That is to say it displayed the opposite color mode from the laptop.
    I can switch back and forth from positive(regular) to negative using the universal access preference control panel. How do I get the monitor and the laptop to agree?

    Hi, the problem is a combination of Boot Camp 2.1 and the ADC->DVI box. I've described a solution here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7211956&#7211956
    Basically:
    [1] Plug everything in normally
    [2] Boot into Mac OS X
    [3] Set brightness to what you want (eg. in System Prefs, or via keyboard)
    [4] Unplug the USB cable belonging to the ADC->DVI adaptor (this means anything plugged into the monitor now won't work, so you may need to also move peripherals from the monitor to the mac, or to a USB hub)
    [5] Boot into Windows (XP SP2 or SP3 in my case)
    [6] cue "I can see clearly now the rain has gone"
    The disadvantages to this are:
    [1] You're a USB socket down on the deal (the display gave you 2 but took up 1, now you only have the 1 that it was being plugged into)
    [2] To readjust brightness (if you find yourself doing this regularly... I don't) you need to go Mac OS X-> plug cable back in -> adjust brightness -> remove cable -> reboot into XP.
    For me (2007 Mac Pro, 23" stripey Apple Cinema Display with ADC->DVI adaptor) it was happening under an ATI 1900XT and also under an Nvidia 8800GT, each time I'd tried reformatting the Windows partition, reinstalling Windows XP etc. Whenever it was Boot Camp 2.0.x it was fine, but adding Boot Camp 2.1 to the party wrecked the brightness. XP SP3 made no difference whatsoever.
    Of note, if you'd rather not sacrifice the USB port (it didn't bother me, as 2.1 also made my 802.11n network finally usable under XP, which was more important to me than losing a USB socket), the original poster in the above linked article suggested reinstalling the Boot Camp 2.0 drivers (from the Leopard disc) as an alternative fix (seemingly they'll overwrite anything Boot Camp 2.1 installed, thus "rewinding"). As I say, for me I needed the wireless network so didn't want to go back, but it might work for you as a 2nd route.
    I've filed a bug on this, so let's hope the Boot Camp team knock out a fix soon,
    Ken

  • Currency field to be displayed with commas and asterisks(formatting)

    I have a field REGUH-RWBTR in my sap script code. I need to have the currency displayed with commas. And also if the digits are less, then left pad it with asterisks for remaining spaces.
    For eg, If the Digit is 12345678912.23 (max value), it should print as 12345,678,912.23.
    And If the digit is 12345.89, it should print as ******12,345.89
    Please help me to solve this problem.Its urgent.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    You can use the WRITE using EDIT MASK.
    USING { {NO EDIT MASK}|{EDIT MASK mask} }
    Effect
    This addition overrides a conversion routine defined through reference to the ABAP Dictionary. The addition NO EDIT MASK only switches off the execution of an assigned conversion routine. The addition EDIT MASK calls either another conversion routine or defines an edit mask. For mask, a data object of the same name is expected.
    In order to call an arbitrary conversion routine CONV, mask must contain two equals signs, followed directly by the name of the conversion routine: "==CONV". During output, the content of dobj is passed to the function module CONVERSION_EXIT_CONV_OUTPUT, converted there, and then the result is displayed. If the function module is not found, an exception that can be handled is triggered (as of Release 6.10). The statement DESCRIBE FIELD contains an addition in order to fill mask accordingly.
    If the output length is specified explicitly with len, the conversion routine is executed for the specified length; otherwise for the implicit output length. If * or ** is specified for the output length, the appropriate rules are used for the converted result.
    If the first two characters in mask are not equals signs, the content is interpreted as an edit mask in which some characters have a particular meaning. The WRITE statement does not then output the content of dobj directly, but the character string in mask as follows:
    If the first two characters in mask are "LL" or "RR ", these are not output, They control whether the edit mask is left-justified or right-justified. If the first two characters are other characters, the edit mask is left-justified.
    All "_" characters are replaced from the left (in the case of "LL") or from the right (in the case of "RR") with characters for character-type types or numbers for the types p or i from dobj. In the case of fields of type c, closing blanks are ignored. Data objects of type f or x are converted into type c before editing. Superfluous characters "_" in mask are replaced by blanks. Characters from dobj for which there are no characters "_" in mask are not displayed.
    If dobj is of type i or p, the first character from the left "V" in mask is replaced with "-" in the case of a negative number and by blank in the case of a positive number.
    All the other characters of the edit mask are displayed unchanged.
    If no output length is specified, the implicit output length of dobj is used. If len is specified for the output length, the value of len is used. If * is specified for the output length, exactly that length that is required for the list display is set. If, in Unicode systems, characters of the edit mask are replaced by characters that take up more than one column on the list, the output length is increased accordingly and the output is filled with blanks in the list buffer. If ** is specified for the output length, double the length of the edit mask mask is used.
    If other formatting options are specified concurrently for an edit mask, these are used first and then the special characters in the edit mask are replaced by the interim result. The date masks date_mask are an exception to this. If these are specified, the edit mask is ignored.
    Notes
    In Unicode systems, you must remember that a character "_"in the edit mask does not necessarily correspond to a column in the list display since the space required in the display depends on the character to be replaced.
    The minus sign for a negative number is not displayed if no edit character "V" is specified. The decimal separator of a packed number with decimal places must be specified at the required position in the edit mask.
    Example
    Edited output of time duration. In the first output, the function module CONVERSION_EXIT_DURA_OUTPUT is executed. This converts the duration specified in seconds into minutes. In the second output, the edit mask is output according to the above rules. However, the underscore characters "_" are replaced by the characters from time.
    DATA: dura TYPE i,
          time TYPE t VALUE '080000'.
    dura = sy-uzeit - time.
    time = dura.
    WRITE /(30) dura USING EDIT MASK '==SDURA'.
    WRITE /(30) time USING EDIT MASK
                           'RRThe duration is __:__:__'.

  • Colum Chart - (3-D) Stacked : compatible with negative values ?!

    Hi,
    In our VC model we are showing a Column Chart - 3-D Stacked.
    On our development server everything works fine. (the query gives positive values for the KPI's only btw)
    In production the bar chart is not being displayed. The bar remains on value 0. I'm quite sure this is related to the fact that we have some negative values on production for some of our keyfigures that we need in the chart. Many others are positive. This is not compatible with stacked charts I think, but.....on our quality environment the chart works fine with negative values for the same KPI's as well. The negative values are more or less ignored in the graph on quality.
    So my question is : Is it correct that negative values are officialy not compatible with VC stacked charts ? Why is it then working (ignoring the negative values) in some circumstances and other circumstances not ? The only difference between quality and production is that the KPI values are different but the same KPI's are negative anyway on these environments. The models (queries and VC model) were transported from dev->QA and to production.
    thanks for any feedback.

    Hi Todd,
    Depending how you look at costs, it's not expensive.
    A single developer license of Anychart 5 costs USD 499.00 - 15% if you use the APEX15 promotion code.
    If you spend a couple of days trying to integrate with something else you easily went over that amount.
    So really, it depends in which perspective you look at it. The workaround with Excel, is that really an option? How long would it take for every person wanting to see that screen? How long would it take before you get to $440?
    Anyway if you wait till next year, Anychart 5 is included in APEX 4.0 and you have it out of the box.
    Just my thoughts,
    Dimitri

  • Can I display only negative values in an X-Y graph

    I have my graph set up to run reading two arrays. It is a sine on sine wave and I only want to display the negative results. Is there a way to do this? Is it possible with something like a scan from function? In the end I will be linking this up to an absolute value and having only the negatives be positive, but getting the graph to display only the negative values is the first step.

    You can use the Threshhold 1D Array to filter out all values greater than 0.

  • Stacked chart with negative values

    Is it possible to create a stacked verticle bar chart that can display a negative value below the bottom line? Currently, all of my my charts are displaying negative values as if they were positive and the only way to know that the value is negative is to hover over the bar and read the hint.
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Todd

  • Display has yellowish tint

    I recently had my macbook pro replaced by apple care a few days ago and everything is great except for one thing. The display has a yellowish tint to it, ive reinstalled osx, resetted pram and it still is there. I calibrated it, and while its better, it still is not as good as my old macbook pro model (which is a core duo, this is a core 2 duo). I went to a compusa near me and looked at the new macbook pros, none of them have this tint. Basically what I am asking is if this is how some C2D models are or is this a problem? Thanks for help in advance.
    Macbook Pro C2D   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    I have had trouble calibrating my MBP display with the calibration tools built in to OSX. My problem was a pink tint and could not get rid of it. So after looking around Google for a while I found a program called SuperCal, and it helped alot. I am willing to bet that it'll help you get rid of your yellowish tint. Check it out.

    How do I use an external display with a macbook pro?

    Just buy the proper adapter cord, such as MiniDisplay port to HDMI for example.  Plug it in and it will be automatically recognized.  Use System Preferences > Displays to set options.
    The display can Mirror your primary desktop or Extend the Desktop.

    Vijay,
    Your infoobject is compounded with any other infoobject and compounded infoobject is blank.
    There are 2 things to do.
    First, load the compounded infoobject so that you will get correct value like XX/VIJAY
    Secondly, if you do not want to see the value of compounding infoobject 'XX' then insert this compounded  infoobject just above the main infoobject in query designer and hide it.
    Let me know if this is not clear to you.
    Thanks,
    Harry
