Displaying different data series on drilldown

I have a bar/line combo chart which displays two data series in bar form and one in line form.
What I want to be able to do is to only show the bars when drilling down and not the line data series.
I haven't found a way to do this yet, can anyone help?

I had considered using navigation to go to another chart, but surely if I do this it will go to the same chart wherever I click on the chart, rather than actually drilling down to the next level in the dimension (and thus being different depending on which item I click on) as a normal drilldown should do, unless I have missed something in your explanation?

Displaying different data in datagrid cells using a cellrenderer?

I'm populating a datagrid using SQLite. Some SQL columns contain 1 or 0 as booleans, and I want to display this as a bullet point in my datagrid.
Currently I have a conditional that checks for a 1, and if found, displays the bullet point. I figure there must be a better way, but am unsure how to do this with cellrenderers. I get how to add components using cellrenderers, but is there a way to replace the cell display with another character (without actually changing the data of the dataprovider) ?

It would be better performance to draw a simple shape rather than a TextField with a single character in it. To do so, yes you'd need to override the cell renderer. I often choose the latter but usually use GPU-driven components like FeathersUI components.
If you have an excessively large amount of data and/or are on a device and want to do this because you're getting poor performance, that's a good usage of your time. Also if you just want to learn how to do it just to do it, that's can also be a good usage, if you complete your work on time. However if it's for desktop and/or the data is pretty minimal (few dozen rows up to a hundred or so, with a nominal amount of columns), it's probably not worth your time.

All component cellrenderers tend to be the same (because larger components use smaller components and the architecture lines up). The difference is in making sure your renderer supports the data it's provided. If you need only a TextField and/or a bullet, that's pretty easy. Most components (like lists) support icons and you'll need to make sure you provide the complete implementation of all data scenarios in your cellrenderer.
Pay attention to cell dequeue techniques on some components. If all cells commonly have only text, cells aren't destroyed and recreated as the list scrolls. The data is resent to the cell and the cell has a chance to simply update itself rather than recreate itself from scratch. This offers a big performance increase not having to destroy and recreate needlessly. It can also really confuse people when cells start appearing empty as you scroll (because the cell construction methods aren't run).

Showing data series for two charts on one

Hi
I need to represent 2 sets of data on one chart. The first is a linebar chart and the second is a scatter chart. This can be done in Excel by adding multiple named data series.
Is this possible with crystal report 2008.

I'm a bit late to discussion, but this is I think the most relevant post I could find.
I have the same problem - displaying multiple data series on the same chart (line chart or scatter by date). My problem is complicated by the fact that number of series also depend on the data point.
Essentially I need to plot readout of test in a monitored room where different number of sites maybe tested depending on the room. So one room might have three data readouts (three sites), and another five (five sites), and when charting by room, one chart will have three series, and another five. So even considering using overlapping transparent charts, there are issues of conditionally enabling/disabling the whole chart, of determining maximum number of charts (and room might have dozens of test sites) and also displaying appropriate legend(s).
There must be a better way!

Calculate Data Series Dinamically

Hello Everyone,
I've a requirement in Visual Composer that I would like to know if anyone can help me.
I want to build a lines chart.
In the chart you can define what you want to put in the "category Axis", that normally is defined dynamically.
In the data series you cannot define them dinamically.
For example you have this table/query:
Month/Process A B C D ...
01                     33
02                              34
03                         35
So in a lines chart, you can define the "category axis" as Month, and in this case, if you have 3 months, the chart adapts to only 3 months, if you have 5 months, the chart adapts and displays the data for the 5 months.
But for the data series, I have to insert (in my example), all the process that exist, process A, B, C, D, etc., so for example if you have 100 process combinations, but only have data for three process, you have to define your dataseries for 100 process, and all 97 process that have the value zero (or no value) are displayed on the chart and represented in the legend.
My requirement is to display dynamically on the data series, only those that have in fact values, so in my example if only the process A, B and D had values, only those process should be displayed on the chart, if for other query execution only the process B and D had values, than, only the process B and D should be displayed.
Does anyone knows how to dinamically display the data series on a chart in Visual Composer?

For that issue I got another workaround,
let's say that one of my dataseries is named xpto_value,
So in dataseries of the chart I define a formula something like this:
NVAL(IF(@XPTO_VALUE==0,"",@XPTO_value))
So if I have 0 for the XPTO_VALUE it is returned nothing, and the line of the data serie is not printed in the chart, otherwise it is printed.
I can work with this.
But my question is I have to do that for all the data series, i.e., for all the columns of the query.
So in my case, I have for now 6 columns, 6 data series, and I can define this for all these 6 data series in the chart.
But let's say that tomorrow, I have new data on my query and instead of 6 data series, I have 8. In this case the chart is not adapt dynamically, i.e., I still have only the 6 data series, I have to go once again to the chart and create this formula for the 2 new data series, having all the 8.
So the chart does not adapt dynamically for all the data series that exist at the time of execution, I have always to define the data series one by one.
Do you know a way of dynamically define the data series, so if the query returns n columns, then the chart will display automatically n data series independent of what n number is?

Creating a multi series line chart with different data providers

I have 3 data providers of the same structure i.e ArrayCollection of DataElement and want to use them to create a multiseries line chart. I do not have just 1 dataProvider that can be used but 3 different data providers of the same structure that i want to use each for different series.

Sorry for the confusion. Actually I must be doing some thing wrong like using ColumnChart to display a line chart or something like that.
I have now realized that a multi series line chart can be built by having a different data provider for each of the LineSeries object.

SP2010: Different colors for chart bars in Chart Web part with single data series?

I've been asked to create a chart for visual display and summary of Status values within a SharePoint list of job positions. The list of positions includes a Status field with the only values being Open and Closed. I created a page that shows the list, and
at the top I inserted a Chart Web part that displays two bars - one showing the number of Open positions and one showing the Closed positions. Because I was having difficulty getting the totals for each Status value to show up in the chart, I followed
the instructions at
http://highbrowse.wordpress.com/2012/07/04/chart-counts-from-sharepoint-lists/ and pointed my chart at the new "Status values" list - this worked well to display the sum counts for each of the two Status values in separate bars.
This was all fine and good, except that because I am only using one data series for my chart, both of the bars (for Open and Closed) show up as the same color. I've been asked to make them different colors but cannot figure out how to do so. Can someone
provide guidance on how I could make the two bars different colors? Thank you so much.

as far as I know, the chart web part does not have any settings to change the color of individual data points or plot data points of a series in different colors. If you only have two values in the series, you could use a pie chart instead of the column
or bar chart. In a pie chart, the different slices have different colors.

How to display multiple data from different table in one table? please help

I got sun java studio creator 2(the separate installation not the one in the net beans)....
My question is about displaying data that have been taken from the database.... I know how to display data in a table(just click on the table "bind data" )... but my question is that:
when i want to use a sql statement that taken the data from different table...
how can i display that data in the table(that will be shown in the web) ??? when i click bind data on the table i can only select one table i can't select more than one....
Note:
1) i'm using the rowset for displaying the data in the table, since the sql statement is depending on a condition(i.e. select a from b where c= ? )...
2) i mean by different table is that( i.e. select a from table1,table2 )..

How to display different icon within WDA alv table base on row data ?

is that possible to display different icon for every row within ALV table depending on the row data ?
for instance if the status 'S' display ~Icon/SuccessMessage and 'E' display ~Icon/ErrorMessage ?
because base on this code below i only can set 1 icon for the whole row data.

Yes it is possible to display different images based on data.
For that what you can do is create one attribute 'STATUS' of type string in context node which you are mapping to ALV.
And fill that attribute with the path to image based on your requirement like for status 'S' set the attribute to ~Icon/SuccessMessage and if status is 'E', set it to ~Icon/ErrorMessage at runtime.
Now in the settings for ALV use the following code:
* Display icon in column seatsocc
DATA: lr_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column,
        lr_image TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_uie_image,
        lv_icon TYPE string.
lr_column = lv_model->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_column( 'SEATSOCC' ).
CREATE OBJECT lr_image.
lr_image->SET_SOURCE_FIELDNAME( 'STATUS' ).
lr_column->set_cell_editor( lr_image ).
in the above code, column 'SEATSOCC' will be displayed as an icon.

Different views in PA20 (Display Personal Data)

Hi,
in our (IDES) system I have seen that different persons could have a different view in PA20 (Display Personal Data).
For example one have a field 'First name' and a field 'Last name' and another have only one field full name.
Could somebody explain this?

This diferences may be exists because of ID of Country Group of this persons. Check if this persons contains the same MOLGA (Country Group).
In others cases, this diferences was related with de relation of Pers. Area and Subarea at 0001 infotype.

However, if you incorperated a calendar table (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/29260.tsql-calendar-functions-and-tables.aspx)
you could lose all those manually set parameters:

How do you display data from two different data-sets on one list

I have a data-set that is displaying properly; I would like to add another data-set to the other portion of the form.
The first part of the data set has Product information (Product-Name, Product_number, etc),
The second portion of the data-set has information like (Product-campaign, Product-Sales, etc)
The two data-sets are mutually exclusive

Patrick Hurst mentioned, if the several tables didn't have any relationship with each other and you want to put all the information together to display in one report, you need to add several tablix/list in the same report and each tablix/list to display
the data from each table.
If the several table have a same relationship field you can use the
lookup function to get the other maped fields display in the same tablix/list.(this function supportted on the SSRS 2008 r2 and later version).

Line chart with more than 15 data series - color problem

Hi all,
I've built a line chart with 32 data series (user can control, which of them are displayed at a time). For series 16 to 32 I did manipulate the URL in the browser directly, because Application Express does only display parametrs for up to 15 series. This works fine so far except of displaying the colors. For each sieries I defined a different color. 29 of my 32 series are displayed in the desired color. But series 29, 31 and 32 are displayed in a default-color (#0099CC). It seems that this is a SVG-problem. In the SVG-source I find the wrong color. When I export my application, I see the right color.

Which version of APEX are you using?
Go to your Flash Chart attributes - get into your series (click the icon) in the section of Series Query you'll find the maximum rows.

Graph & Chart: select and colour single element of data series

my question is about formatting Keynote graph: i.e. bar graph 2d or 3d, is it possible select and colour differently a single element of series? In Powerpoint exists that possibility, but in Keynote I can't find the way to select only one element. If I change colour, all series elements change.

Overlapping of data series in Combo Chart

Hi All,
We are working on VC7.0
I have three data series elements and I would like to display them in a combo chart with two columns and a line .
( 1.Actual Gross Turnover - Column
2. Planned Gross Turnover - Column
3. Actual Gross Turnover prior Year - Line )
I tried with different options present there in Configure Element , but the two columns overlap with each other i.e the highest column is overriding the lower column.
Can someone help me out in this ?
