Displaying the Values of Varaibles in the WAD 7.0
Hi,
I have created a query Q1 with Restricted Key figures. In the KF's I have a strcuture as : Col 1 = Current period, Col 2 = Prev period, Col 3 = YTD to Period, Col 4 = YTD to previous period, Col 5 = last year YTD to period, Col 6 = dummy. However, I have used 0I_FPER in Q1 Col6 only. For the other cols in Q1 I have created two user exit Varaibles ZPER1 and ZYTD1 to calculate the period intervals using the DATE TO from 0I_FPER. I have used these variables in the respective restrcited key figures.
I also have another query Q2 that shows YTD and this has the variable 0I_FPER as filter in the query.
I have set up a WAD tab report and used the same variable 0I_FPER in both queries so that the user only needs to input the variable values once. I have used containers for the Tabs, and effectively assigned Q1 to Tab1 and Q2 to Tab2.
Now, I am using the Info Field web item in the tab reports. I want to display the 0I_FPER in Tab 2 and display ZPER1 in Tab 1. I can display 0I_FPER correcly in Tab2, but I cannot display ZPER1in Tab2. I get the message that the DP1 does not have ZPER1.
Although the query Q1 is using the variable in key figures it does not allow me to display it as part of the Info Field web item. the variable is not available in the dropdown although 0FISCPER is available. However, when I use 0FISCPER it still does not show me the values of ZPER1.
Does anyone have any suggestions please ?
thanks
Hi Bal, I've had exactly the same issue, and couldn't figure a way. I tried to use Exit variable value in query output in Web Analyzer/WAD using &VARNAME&; Also tried using some Text Variable with Replacement Path, formula variables & help cells etc. But none of the above methods didn't help as the exit variable hasn't any input value or isn't physically holding related values for references returned from exit logic. However, we can debug using RSRT > Debug Mode > Set Breakpoints to check correctness of logic used. Plus, we can also use the query in workbooks to check the the values of a particular filter in cells. Suggestions anyone? Thanks.

How to make the value axis (Y) on the right?
the value axis(Y) of the stacked column chart is on the left default. how to make it on the right?
thanks.e,
Numbers Charts do not have the option to move the value axis to the right side. You can turn off the display of Value Labels, using the Chart Inspector, and make your own value labels from a text box or small table column and place them to the right of the chart.

Is there an easy way to filter a 2-d array based on the values of two of the fields?
Is there an easy way to filter a 2-d array based on the values of one of the fields. In my attached VI the output array has the following format:
TimeStamp Ident Frame Type Bytes Data
10:57:07.621 3AD00016 CAN Data Frame 8 0000000000000000
10:57:07.622 3AD00017 CAN Data Frame 8 000005E000000000
10:57:07.624 3AD00018 CAN Data Frame 8 0000000003300000
10:57:07.625 2DC00000 CAN Data Frame 8 0000000000000000
10:57:07.626 3AD00019 CAN Data Frame 4 0000030000000000
I would like to delete any rows that do not have an "Ident" between the values of 3AD00000 and 3AD0001E. So for the above data the fourth row would be deleted. The only way I can see to do it is to form a 1-d array. Is there a better approach?
Thank you.

after you have sorted your data, you can use the InRange Function. Combined with a "search 1D Array" you'll get the range you really want.

what's the value of GLOBAL_DBNAME in the listener.ora ?GLOBAL_DBNAME The global database name is a concatentation of a domain and a database name. The GLOBAL_DBNAME is the same as SERVICE_NAMES parameter in the parameter file or a concatentation of the DB_DOMAIN and the DB_NAME parameters in the parameter file. For example, <SID>.xyz.com. How to display Base values (AFS Grid) in the Report
Hi Friends,
We ar using AFS, in that we have Grid value like 0003A34
(8 chars: first 4 chars colour (0003), A represents Cup, 34 represents size of the Material), in that we can able to store the Base values like for International or US,
and for size 34 equivalent to 70 like wise.
In our reports we are using ALV grids, and showing the existing grid value like 0003A34, but we need to show Base value list like INTL or US etc, based on the region / area, the report should show the equivalent grid value like 0003A70 etc.
Please help me how to do this.
Thanks
ShankarDear Shankar;
I think you will be able to achieve what you try to do using grid conversion in AFS. Base Grid values can be converted to other values based on the customer, vendor or material depending on your requirement. This need to be configured in IMG and then the ID must be assigned in the Vendor or the Material Master as per the requirement.
This is somewhat complex config. Please contact me if you need any more clarifications ([email protected])

How to get the values retained on clicking the back button in jsp page
Hi All,
I had two jsp's search and results. In the search page when i enter some values in the text fields, the rsults will be displayed for that search criteria. I had a back button in the results page. When i click on this back button i will get back to my search page. I am using the following code for this back button.
<INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE='Back' onClick="javascript:history.go(-1)" class="button">
Now the problem is when i get back to search page using this back button, i am not able to get the values in the search page which i entered, i am getting all blank values. What should i change to get these values back in the search page. Should i maintain any sessions for this?You have no control at all over the back button process. To the server, it's indistinguishable from the user simply tying the URL of your search page. So, you need to store this data server side*.
When your search page is submitted and processed, store the values you received for each of the fields into the user's session. Then, when the search page is generated, check the session for these values, and for any values that are not null, put their values into the html as the default values for the textboxes and controls you are using. This lets you handle the whole matter on the server's side.

How to Get the value when clicking on the link
I had a problem with when clicking on the link.
I need get the link value to the controller when clicking on the link.
I am displaying the database columns in jsp using repeater in links.
I am displaying the data like this:
RED
BLUE
GREEN
these are three links.when clicking on the link RED. RED should go to the controller.
After getting RED to the controller i will get the RED value from the database.my requirement is like that only
I have just given the example of emp and dept
emp(empno,zone_group_id,zone_id,deptno,ename,emp_p_ind,last_update_datetime);
dept_emp(empno,dept_no,loc,dname,sal_emp,grade,last_update_datetime);
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW emp_zone AS
SELECT e.empno,
(select zone_group_id from price_zone_group where rownum = 1) zone_group_id,
d.loc zone_id,
d.grade,
d.last_update_datetime,
FROM dept_emp d
emp e
WHERE d.empno=e.empno
AND e.emp_p_ind = 'Y'
WITH READ ONLY;
Now
my requirement is to get the data of emp_zone view and needs to store those data into some other temp table
if any of the above base table got updated deleted or inserted then the view last_updatetime also will get updated but problem is why im not using base table
direct because it is having huge data and it performance issue .i have to get the value on the basis of view only and using some logic -
Display variable values selected as header in WAD
Hi All Gurus,
I need to display the variable values entered for running the report as a header to the report being displayed.
I'm using NW2004s BI and standard template 0analysis_pattern. Is there a way I can display the variable values as header info.
Thanks in Advance
SidHi Sid,
You may need to make a copy of this template, or create your own and use the Information Field web item:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/47/96784226d1d242e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
You can set this to display the Variables (VARIABLES_VISIBLE)
Hope this helps... -
I have one report that lists a set of rows and has a link to
drill down to another report. On the second report, I am trying
to create a link to a form and pass the value received from the
first report. I am trying to use the API
wwpro_api_parameters.get_value but I cannot figure out how to
get the value for the second parameter - p_reference_path.
Here is my code which is found in the "Additional PL/SQL Code"
section, "After displaying the Header".
declare v_id varchar2(10);
begin
v_id := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value
('id', 'a');
htp.anchor ('http://rrlehman-
lap.us.oracle.com/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.link?
p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1516531942&p_arg_names=_show_h
eader&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=FRM_ID&p_arg_values=' ||
v_id, 'Create A Topic', NULL, NULL);
end;
No matter what I put in for the second variable,
p_preference_path, I do not get a value for v_id. I have
performed a search in the discussion forums and read all related
threads but I still cannot get it to work.Please, note that the second parameter of the get_value function is the identifier of the portlet instance, called in the PDK as reference path.
Here you find further information on the topic:

How to hard code the values in XI for the synchronous scenario?
Hi All,
Actual Scenario : Webservice - XI - Any of the Receiver Adapter(RFC/JDBC) .
The receiver adapter setup will take some more days to complete. So, time being I would like to hard code the response values in XI according to the webservice request and send the response back to webservice. Is it possible?
If it is possible, could you please tell me how to go about for this?
Regards
SaraHey
>>So, time being I would like to hard code the response values in XI according to the webservice request
if ur response is based upon the request,then how can u hard code any value?when u hard code any element.it will always display the hard coded value irrespective of the request.
in case u want to hard code something which does not depends on response or which will always stay the same in ur scenario,then just use the constant function of message mapping to do that
thanx

The output will be of 2 records & values should be
Inbound plug name = ip2
Parameter name = ippara2
Parameter type = binary
2nd record
Inbound plug name = hi

Thanks in advance,
HanI got it works now by using the xpath expression (in workbench) to assign to the selected user from the DDL in the form.

I need a query to get all the values of taxes from the year 2008
I have 2 tables in oracle 10.2.0.1
sm_coaster_bills(
id_coaster_bills number, (pk)
id_coaster number, (fk from table sm_coasters)
period varchar2(6), (JANMAR or APRJUN or JULSEP or OCTDEC (months of trimenster))
year varchar2(4), (year when the bill was generated)
value (the value of the debt)
expiration date, (date of expiration of the payment)
paid varchar2(1) (Y or N paid or not)
and
re_interests(
id_interests number, (pk)
value number, (the interest in a specific year)
type varchar2(3), 'specify if the interest is anual or trimestral'
period number, (1 or 2 or 3 or 4 depending of the trimester )
year date, (day of the current interest ))
the expirtation date is the last day when yyou can pay after thar the bill start to charge interests from the first month of the trimester
The value of interests change year by year.
I need a query or a function maybe a procedure that returns the total value of the bill changing the interest charged year after year.
i mean this is a record of table sm_coaster bills
(1, 7, 'OCTDEC', '2011', 321.21, 15/10/2011, N) this is a coaster bill not paid since october 2011 acquired in the period October-December
and this are records from re_interests
1, 12.3, 1, TRI, 2009
2, 12.3, 2, TRI, 2009
3, 12.3, 3, TRI, 2009
4, 12.3, 4, TRI, 2009
5, 23.0 0, ANU, 2009
6, 13.5, 1, TRI, 2010
7, 13.5, 2, TRI, 2010
8, 13.5, 3, TRI, 2010
9, 13.5, 4, TRI, 2010
10, 24, 0, ANU, 2010
11, 14.5, 1,TRI, 2011
12, 14.5, 2, TRI, 2011
13, 14.5, 3, TRI, 2011
14, 14.5, 4, TRI, 2011
15, 25, 0, ANU, 2011
16, 15.5, 1, TRI, 2012
16, 15.5, 2, TRI, 2012
16, 15.5, 3, TRI, 2012
for exaple if the license was bought on period JANMAR(january - march) year 2012 then the result should be
320 multiplied for the interest of that trimester again multiplied for the interest of the next trimester APRJUN and the interest of the actual trimester
value janmar aprjun julsep
320* 1.135 * 1.135 * 1.135
but if the bill was made on any trimester of any other year in the past then
$320 should be multiplied for the anual interest of those years
for exaple if the license was bought on period APRJUN(april - june) year 2009 then the result should be
value 2009 2010 2011 janmar aprjun julsep
320 * 1.23 * 1.24 * 1.25 * 1.135 * 1.135 * 1.135
I want a procedure or a function that takes all values selecting all those interests year by year or trimestral whatever the case

now for expample the registry from sm_costeras _planillas with id 4284 has a bill on julsep of 2012 that does not need to be charge
the registry 3673 bill is on octdic of 2011 so as it is from the las year it charges the anual income for this year %12.78 plus the income of this year's trimesters
if the registry is from 2009 the charge will be the incom of year 2009 plus 2010 plus2011 and the income of this year's trimesters
the incomes charged on the value of the bill is complete y the expiration date is done then the bill of the trimester is complete also y the bill was on 30 dec of any year the bill is charge with the full year income even if its just for 2 days -
How to get the value incremented only when the loop is true?
Hi,
From the snapshot attached, i want to increment the value of number indicator only once when its true and should increment the value again when the loop is true..i mean i want to get the number of times the loop is true.
But in this vi i am getting the value incremented many number of times when the loop is true because the while loop is running continuously.

A loop is a structure and not a boolean, so it cannot be false or true and thus I don't understand the question!
Why don't you attach the actual VI instead of a word document? Your code is very difficult to understand because it seems to suffer from severe localitis, and some of the few visible terminals don't show a label. What's in the other cases of the case structures?
Incrementing a value is better done in a shift register or feedback node. What's the purpose of the "absolute value" function. As long as you make sure you don't start with a negative value, it should not be needed. If you are looking for a off-on transition, try "implies" with the current and previous value of the boolean. (For an example, have a look at this post and the quoted example in it.)

LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time . -
I have been looking at my code for hours now and cant figure out what is wrong. The error has kept popping up even when i thought i had fixed everything. maybe a second set of eyes could help me out here. If you could help me out it would be much appreciated.

SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.Orders OFFPrice Numeric (20) NOT NULL,
I do not think you understand this datatype? Go look at the values you are attempting to insert into this column. For example, "$29.99". After the insert, what value is actually stored in that column?
DateOfBirth Numeric (4) NOT NULL,
No. Just No. Either change the column name to faithfully represent what values you intend to store (and apply the appropriate constraints) or change the datatype and the values that you intend to store to match the column name. And the constraint
that you do have:
CONSTRAINT DateOfBirth
CHECK ([DateOfBirth] BETWEEN '1920-01-01' AND getdate() - 5844));
is both logically suspect and syntactically wrong. First, the upper boundary will be computed as 1999-04-29 15:50:21.670. But, of course, your column is a whole number of no more than 4 digits. The same issue applies to your lower boundary.
A simple select statement will show you those errors
select cast('1920-01-01' as numeric(4)), getdate() - 5844, cast(getdate() - 5844 as numeric(4));
An insert statement fails with the same error. Because, of course, your boundary values must actually be converted to numeric(4) in order to compare them against the value contained in the column. Generally, you can convert from
string to numeric - IF the content of the string actually contains a value that is numeric and can be converted into the specific type needed. Not so in this case. Is this 16 year period (5844 days) significant for some reason? You should
document it here in your DDL with a comment, because it is unlikely to be documented (and kept current) anywhere else.
And lastly, your script has:
SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.CUSTOMER OFF
That is not the name of your table, and therefore that statement also fails. The table name you used is plural.
