Displaying two views

I have a form with a tree view on the left and a details form view on the right. When I need to add a new item, I am using a modal window with the appropriate details view embedded in it. This works great for my "add child" action (since there is a separate details view for each level in the tree). I want to also provide the ability for the user to "add sibling", but when the details view is displayed on the right, and I create the modal window with the same details view embedded in it, I get a WebDynpro error saying that an instance of the view already exists. Any ideas on how to avoid this?

Hi David,
When you close the modal window and goes back to view, You have to destroy the window instance which you have created to show this window. If you have not destroyed this instance then next time calling this modal window it will show this error.
So do one thing. make one value attribute in context as type of IWDWindow.
Then at the time of creating window instance store the same instance in context also.
Now at the time of closing the window destroy this instance using its destroy method.
Like : If you have created value arrtibute : window
then at the time of closing window retrieve it using
IWDWindow win = wdcontext.currentcontextelement().getWindow();
win.destroy();
Let me know the status whether it is working fine or not.

Yes, by using JavaScript to create a new page by spawning a template page. The downside is that is will only work with Reader 11 (and Acrobat) and not previous versions of Reader. It also won't work if you need to Reader-enable the document so that pre-11 versions of Reader can save the filled-in form. If these limitations are not a problem and you need more help, post again.

[iPhone] Can I display two modal view controllers after each other?

This is for BETA 7.
Here is a simplified version of my problem.
In my application root view controller , the user presses a 'Start Wizard' button and they get modal view controller A presented which contains a 'Step 1 Complete' button. When that 'Step 1 Complete' button is pressed , ModalVC A dismisses itself and delegates an "I'm done" event to the root view controller , which presents another ModalVC B to the user with a 'Step 2 complete'. So basically imagine a Wizard of Modal View Controllers. Try to make one, it doesn't work.
The problem is that MODALVC B doesn't get displayed. It almost seems that when ModalVC A dismisses itself from the parent , this does not go in effect until the main thread goes back into its message loop for a redraw or something and it ignores the subsequent 'PresentModalViewController : nextcontroller' call.
The only way to make it work is to have 2 buttons ('Do Step 1' and 'Do Step 2') is the root view controller and have the user press them individually. Of course that's not what I want.

Yes , most of my application uses the navigation bar. The problem is that the two modal views involved are are used separately throughout the application quite frequently. In this specific case I want to reuse them , but consecutively.
If I do choose to go for a navigation bar for this case , then I'd need to have two versions of these two views , one without and one with my custom toolbar , wouldn't I?
I'll definitely try the queued posting. Do I use NSNotification center or is there another way to asynchronously post an event?

I have a requirement to allow users to change the "display mode" on a search results tree table for an advanced search page. What this will do is change the structure of how the data is laid out. In one case the tree table is 3 levels deep, in the other case it's only 2 with different data being at the root node.
What I've done so far:
1) I exposed the data relationship for these two ways of viewing the data in the application module's data model.
2) I created a view criteria in the two view objects that are at the root of the relationships, where (for simplicity sake) I'm only comparing a single field.

When no inspection record number (the only search field so far) is supplied in the query panel, then it behaves correctly. Namely, the tree tables shows all search results. However, when an inspection record number is supplied the tree table that was created with the query panel in use (remember there are two query panels, one of them is hidden) shows a single result (this is correct) while the other tree table (the one with the hidden query panel that isn't in use) shows all results (this is NOT correct).
Is what I'm trying to accomplish even doable? If so, what am I missing?

I ended up keeping one query panel permanently visible and the other permanently hidden. When performing a search using the table that has the hidden query panel, I seed the query descriptor for the hidden query panel using the visible query panel's query descriptor and then delegate the request:

Make sure that the xml created out after the java mapping is a valid xml with only one root node.

Can Pages display two open windows of the same document? In editing my book and looking for duplications of stories or material, it would be very helpful to see side-by-side windows. Is this possible?

as
"Please delete 90 features from Pages and mangle any old documents it opens."
An easy mistake anybody could make.

View Fields Not Getting Displayed in View Set

Hi All
I have created a new View for Component IUICMDC and assigned it to a ViewSet and on click of a button i need to display this view . The navigation is happening fine but i am not able to see View Fields in it , only ZIUICMDC/AdvSearchVS is getting displayed on top of the page.
View Area is defined and Debugger is stopping in the Do_init method of View which is assigned to ViewSet.

You should provide the ability to create rows, you can do it on the table by making the table editable and putting a Add another row or you can choose to add it in a drill down create page.
You can also add a set of new rows initially by creating and inserting rows in the vo in your PR.

Displaying Two groups of data side by side

We are using XML Publisher 5.6.2. We have a requirement where we need to display two independent groups side by side.
What we tried was, we had a single table, on which on the same row, we defined the first group ( for-each:group1)<?Col1?><end-each>, in a single cell as part of three different form fields and then in the second column, we started the next group.
But when we ran the report, the second group does not get dsiplayed. The workaround we have to use is that define the second group in a seperate row than the first group. This displayed the data for both the groups.
The issue is that, if Group1 has 10 rows, then my second group will be pushed down.
Has anybody had this issue and if there is a resolution, please let us know.

I would Like to display the data in single table. i have 10 groups when i m trying the columns becoming null. when i m taking it in diff tables its working fine but my client is not satisfied with that is there any solution for this making it in one table.

Uix two view-objects on one entity-object synchronize

Hi All
I want to add some uix pages to an old project using ADF UIX and Business Components.
I have an entity object to a table witch about 50 fields.
Now I create two view objects due to a better performance. One witch seven attributes for the overwiew and one with all attributes for the detail page.
They are related via a view link.
I create the overview as a read-only-table and the detail-page as an input-form.
The proplem is that the synchronization don't work. The detail page shows the first dataset ever.
Has anyone a solution or a tip where I can found that?
Is where a performance problem if I use one view-object for both pages?

How to display two or more links in a single column

Is there a way to display two links in a single column in a sql query report . I am able to specify one but I am not able to add links to the same column . I want to take the same column id and redirect the user to different pages based on the values selected .

There is no way to this declaratively that I know of. Some alternatives...
1. Put the conditional branching logic in the report SQL itself. e.g. case when ... then '< a href=..' else '< a href=...' end and make sure the column display type is Standard Report column
2. Have the declarative column link go to a dummy/intermediate page and setup On Load: Before-Header branches on that page to redirect to the desired page based on the item value(s) passed in to the intermediate page.

It's possible that the Troubleshooter doesn't work correctly unless IE is your default browser. You could test that possibility by having IE make itself the default and testing the Troubleshooter again.

How to use two view Accessor's in a List of Values

I have one Transient VO , dragged on to .jsff page. One of the attribute of the transient VO has list of values.
I have two View Accesors, First View Accesor consists of only ID's and Second View Accesor consists of Description value associated to each ID in the first View Accesor, Now I have to use these both View Accesor in such a way , Values are from First View Accesor and Description is from the second View Accesor as a drop down on my jsff page.
The source for these both View Accesors are different. There is no relation ship between the two View Accesors. Is it possible to have these two View Accesors to a single drop down list ?

How to use DAQ Assistant to display two analog channels in a XY Graph

Hi,
I am new to LabVIEW. I have been assigned a project in which i have to display two analog signals from an analog potentiostat i.e. voltage and current (also a voltage signal) on a graph using labview. I am using a myDAQ device to acquire these analog signals and I am using labview 2013 to display these signals on a graph. I am using DAQ assistant to configure these signals. Rightnow I have separate graphs for each channel. However, I want a single XY graph to display one voltage as a function of the other i.e. I want to have voltage on the X-axis and current output on the Y axis. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response. I was able to make a X-Y graph. However, I can only see a dot floating around. It's not drawing anything. I want to see it making a plot as it collects data. Also, I want to see the complete waveform formed when I stop the VI.
