12570 needs to be traced on the listener side. but if its working for one app connection but not two app connections, check the sqlnet.ora, see if theres anything in there that shouldnt

Ftp error Could not establish connection
hello there,
I am trying to connect to ftp server to get a file from it.
I used the "FTP get file.vi"
here a screenshot showing the front panel and the block diagram:
on the left there is filezilla showing that the ftp server is connected just fine and the remote path showing the files which I want to get one of them "log.txt"
I filled the same info into my labview vi .. and when I hit run this error pops up
Error 0 occurred at FTPOpen Data Connection: Could not establish connection
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: Error connecting to GPIB driver or device.
=========================
VISA: (Hex 0x0) Operation completed successfully.
I don't know what wrong am I doing... any ideas?
Thanks!
Solved!
Go to Solution.Thanks for your reply.. I solved the problem 1 minute ago .. turned the data connection from active to passive by using false in active terminal..
another error pops up that I need to put the same file type as the file I am asking to get .. I made the local path g:\file.txt and it workd just fine ...
Thanks,, -
The network error could not establish the connection
Hi,
I have recently installed Oracle 11g Product and when trying to access a remote server I am getting the above error using SQL Developer. When using SQLPlus it works fine for me and I can log in and run a query. I have tried connecting using Basic (both with SID and Service Name)/ TNS/ Custom JDBC Connection but I get the same error every time.

Java Version : 1.7.0_05

I am able to connect to the oracle instance on my local host. I have verified the details with TNSPING and it works fine there too. The listeners are up and running:

"Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel"
During the configuration of DUET_E , when calling the DUET Application from SharePoint, the following error is shown :
"Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel with authority 'MYSAPNW702SERVER:8001'"
I have already seen the Post :
Error in DUET Configuration at SSL
This mentions the error, but does not provide any answers on resolution.
The DUET_E troublshooting guide suggests that the SAP Standard SSL Certificate is added to SharePoint Central Admin > Security > Manage Trusts
This has also been done.
We are using the Standard SAP SSL Self signed certificate - not one signed by an external CA.
Can anyone provide any guidance ?
Thanks in advance.Hi Min,
reading through your first post the problem might be the CN of the certificate. If you used the Wizard or the default way to create a self signed certicate, it is probably created with the CN server.domain (the fully qualified name of the server).
However, when you created the BDC models the URLs pointing to the WSDL is probably only the servername (at least that is what I would assume after seeing your error message).
Because of that SharePoint calls the SAP Duet server with the severname, but the certificate presented by the SAP system is not the servername, but the fully qualified servername. Because of that -- although SharePoint trusts the certificate -- the URL and certificate do not match and you get the error "Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel with authority 'MYSAPNW702SERVER:8001"
If that is the case you have two options:
1) you go to STRUST and create a new SSL certificate that has a CN of only the servername. Then you export this certificate and trust it in SharePoint
2) or -- and this is the way I would recommend -- you try to adjust the URL used in the BDC model. Usually you get only the servername (and not the fully qualified DNS name) when you have not specified the profile parameter icm/host_name_full. Which URL is currently used when you start transaction SAML2 or SOAMANAGER? If you have not yet set icm/host_name_full, then give this a try.

The Network Adapter could not establish the connection Error Code: 17002
Hi,
after upgrade b41 to b49, I get error from subject, without any changes in my app.
This occurs only on Oracle AS, on standalone OC4J application works OK.
I use connection defined in persistence.xml:
<non-jta-data-source>jdbc/MyAppDS</non-jta-data-source>
and can successfully test this connection in Enterprise manager.
Also, I tried all tricks mentioned here:
http://www.websina.com/bugzero/kb/oracle-connection.html
I know, that this is JDBC layer problem, but I am sure, that my connection is OK, and
after downgrade to b48 this problem fall away.

How have you deployed your application exactly, i.e. what is the structure of your ear. I use standard war for deploy.
Is the DataSource defined in your server, or your application? Defined on server, test on Enterprise manager passed successfully.
Try using a direct JDBC connection in your persistence.xml (driver/url), does this work?Not work, this same exception.
How do you access your entity manager? (managed, non-managed, jta, non-jta?)non-managed, non-jta.
FYI, I make downgrade to build 48, and this works - it is last version without this problem.
I added some tracing code to my SessionCustomizer:customize():
DatabaseLogin login = session.getLogin();
logger.fine("URL is :" + login.getDatabaseURL());
With build 48, connection defined using toplink.jdbc.* , the output is:

Hello,
We are facing an issue when triggering a new build using TFS 2013 Update 4, VS2013 Update 4 using TFVCTemplate.12.XAML template. All our other older build definitions just work fine but not the TFVCTemplate.12.XAML. It seems to me that some certificate
might be invalidated. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Thanks for your reply.
It’s strange, if your old build definitions can work using the same TFS Build Server, that indicate your TFS Server configuration is correct and can works. But only new build definition with default TfvcTemplate.12.xaml template cannot build successful.
Please share your TFS Server detailed environment information here. And share your
Build Service Properties dialog screenshot here.
Try to clean the Cache for TFS 2013 manually(delete the content of the folder only, not the cache folder itself):
Clean the Cache folder on Server machine. The folder path is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 12.0\Application Tier\Web Services\_tfs_data.
After cleaned, on Server machine, click Start and select
Run… to open the dialog box, then input iisreset.exe and click OK, wait it run completely.
Additionally, you can run the TFS 2013 Power Tools BPA to scan the installation of your TFS Server.

Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
hi, i am using classes111.zip (the oracle 8.0.5 thin driver) with
linux and gnu jsp pages. the backend is an oracle 8.04 NT
database.
i get this error: "The Network Adapter could not establish the
connection " my question is this - is this error the client
problem or the db server problem. here is the code:
String driverName = "oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver";
String url = "jdbc:oracle:thin:oracle1:1541:ORCL";
String user = "demo";
String pwd = "demo";
String SQL = "";
ResultSet rs;
try
DriverManager.registerDriver(new
oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(url,
user, pwd );
DatabaseMetaData dma = con.getMetaData();
Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
rs = stmt.executeQuery("select * from test");
while(rs.next())
out.println(rs.getString("xx") +
rs.getString("yy"));
catch( SQLException e )
out.println("
error: -> " + e + " <-
exiting
any ideas?
thanks in advance,
steve

Top Link error 17002 The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
I have installed an application developped in an another environnement.
I have created the database schema in my own database.
I have created a database connection to this schema.
I have reconciled the schema using this connection (so the database and the connection are available and correct from jdeveloper)
I have updated the Mapping to use the new connection and new generated the mapping status report without any errors
and i still have this error ! The Network Adapter could not establish the connection when i access any jsp document containing data from the database.
I check and recheck everything and all is correct ... sure something is wrong somewhere ... where is the question ...Sorry I think you didn't read the thread or you read it too fast !
I'm not a beginner and I know what the problem is but all the settings are correct in jdev and the database and the listener are running ... i'm able to browse the tables, seeing data reconciling objects with the database connection referenced in the top link descriptor
It seem that top link is using something else and i don't understand from where it took the connection description. -
Hi, I'm running the following setup:
Mac OS X 10.8.4
Virtual Box 4.2.16 r86992
Oracle Developer Days (don't know the version, just downloaded it)
SQL Developer 3.2.20.09
Networking is host-only, I tried bridged but that doesn't make a difference for the problem at hand. I can ping my virtual box just fine, telnet to port 1521 looks good too:
$ ping 192.168.56.101
PING 192.168.56.101 (192.168.56.101): 56 data bytes

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.449/0.449/0.449/0.000 ms
$ telnet 192.168.56.101 1521
Trying 192.168.56.101...
Connected to 192.168.56.101.

Connection closed by foreign host.
When I create a new connection with sql developer, with the same hostname / IP (192.168.56.101), Port 1521 (didn't change that) and SID orcl, basic connection type, it can't even connect, throwing the error mentioned in the subject:
Status : Failure -Test failed: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
I have looked at various threads in the forums here but I'm still stymied why the connection seems to be ok, yet sql developer has problems with it. If I create an ssh tunnel so sql developer only has to connect to localhost it works:
ssh -L 1521:192.168.56.101:1521 -l oracle 192.168.56.101

This may be of varoius reasons..
Is the database that you are connecting on the same PC?
You have specified Hostname: localhost.
If not please replace it with the IP of that server.
Else please check whether the database listener is started or not. if not please start the listener.
Check the SID by tnsping command.
Hope this will help you..
Thanks

Hi,
I know that there are a lot of threads with this error, but I don't know how to solve my situation yet.
I'm trying to access to the database via JDBC, and the driver return the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.logon(T4CConnection.java:419)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.PhysicalConnection.<init>(PhysicalConnection.java:536)

at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CDriverExtension.getConnection(T4CDriverExtension.java:32)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.connect(OracleDriver.java:521)
at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.fw.sql.SQLDriverManager.getConnection(SQLDriverManager.java:133)

at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.mainframe.action.ConnectToAliasCommand$SheetHandler.run(ConnectToAliasCommand.java:281)
- My oracle database is up and I can access to it with locally with TOAD
- I can do TELNET localhost 1521 in the server that has the DB installed
- I can do a successful ping from the client computer to the oracle server
- There aren't any firewalls between the client and the server.
- When I try to do TELNET <IP Address> 1521 from the client computer to the oracle DB Server, the connection could not be opened
- I tryed to do a TELNET to another port where I have another service, and the result has been successful. So the problem is related with the port 1521...
I don't have any knowledge about database administration, so I don't know what to do to solve this.
Can you help me please?java.sql.SQLException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connectionThis preposterous error message is Oracle's way of saying either 'Connection refused' or 'Connection timeout' or 'no route to host' or 'unknown host'. However because of the stupidity of making up their own message instead of giving the original exception, it is impossible to say which. The pretentious wording is also stupid: network adapters don't create connections. TCP/IP stacks do that.
As to your problem, either there is no such host, no route to the host, nothing listening at the IP:port you specified, or there is a firewall in the way. And that includes a possible Windows firewall on the server host itself. -
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and downloaded the latest version of I-tunes, 10.5.2, but everytime I open I-tunes, i get this error: Internal Error: Could not insert menu bar item.. Error code = 5603
How do I fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
