hi all i have a diamond motherboard and i am running in sli i read somewhere that you should plug in the atx 4p1 power lead. can anyone tell me what that is and where it is on my diamond motheboard. i have looked in the manual and cannot see it listed as that. all works ok and icould be wrong.but i thought ide better check thanks for any help.

Basicly you are supposed to have a Power Supply with connectors able to plug in in every
power socket on the motherboard .

It's beta. It's no where near ready for prime time. It's put out there so that developers can start getting their products ready fo the new release.
I've been working in IT for over 25 years. People have gotten the wrong idea about what a beta is thanks to the likes of google, who release a product to market and call it "beta" just so they don't actually have to support it. I've beta tested operating systems going all the way back to OS/2 when it was still a joint Microsoft/IBM project. Believe me, you do NOT want beta versions of operating systems getting into the hands of the unwashed masses. It would quickly turn from 'getting rid of bugs' to outright revolt. -
Can someone please post a chart of what adapter works with the different devices? I have a MacBook air, I-pod, I-pad, and I-phone 4. I am getting my adapters mixed up.

My new computer is 64-bit running Windows 7 pro, SP1 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus 32-bit
My phone is a 4S runing iOS 6.1.3
Very frustrated now that I have recently installed itunes and outlook on this new computer. Everything worked perfectly ok on my laptop which was also 64-bit Windows 7 and running 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 Pro. I have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, when I sync the calendar and contacts are empty. Not sure if there is any way to point itunes to particular address books and calendars.
I have installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times and thank goodness have a backup

thanks in anticipationI had my home computer set up to sync to work's Exchange server. It worked well, but I didn't like seeing work email messages and other programs trying to sync with my default Outlook folder, which was then the Exchange (& work related) .ost file. I know there are various ways to manage those problems using filters, view, subfolders, etc., but it was a hassle for me. I think it could work well for many other folks.
For now, I have published my work calendar and subscribed to that calendar on my home computer. So I have view only access to my calendar on my home computer (and I can add/edit calendar items on my iPad (or Outlook Web Access) when away from work). This is not quite what I wanted, but it may work.
It almost makes me long for the days when I used my Windows Mobile Treo to sync back and forth between exchange at work and outlook at home (but had many sync conflicts as a result). -
For some unknown reason I have two Apple ITunes/ID Accounts in operation.
How do I completely delete one of these Accounts?I have a similar situation.. in my case, I started using an Apple ID a while back, then when MobileMe was introduced, I got an account there, and somehow that is the account that is mostly used when making updates or purchases.
Sometimes when making updates, it prompts me for the PW for one account, and sometimes for the other.
This is a real pain - is there anyway both these accounts can be consolidated into one? When I asked an Apple rep, I was told 'no', but they have been known to make mistakes when giving advice. So, is there a way? Technically, I don't see this as a problem.. but Apple seems to be of the opinion that this would lead to having apps 'shared' amoung users. I think all that would be necessary if for me to provide the necessary proof that both accounts are indeed mine, and not belonging to someone else.
If not, what about deleting the apps registered to one account, and then re-purchasing them with the other account? To do this, I would need to identify which apps are registered to which accouts - is this possible? Most of my apps are free, but there are a few I paid for.. not many, so this possible solution might work and not cost too much. Ideas? -
I have an imac and ipad 2 which I am currently trying to back up to the computer in order that I can wipe the pad completely and pass it on to someone else as I now have a new pad.
The problem I am getting is that the ipad back up cannot be complete as there is not enough space available on the computer?

I bought a 3G and a 4G in Australia while working there for 3.5 years. I have since returned permanently to the USA and would like to use one of these, understanding the GSM requires using AT&T? When in Australia, I took these iphones to the Apple Store and they unlocked the 3G for me, knowing that I would be using it in the USA - but when I took it into the AT&T store in California, the iphone would not work with AT&T's SIM card. May I unlock the 3G and/or 4G somewhere in the USA with Apple's blessing?
If your phones were unlocked by your carrier, they should work with AT&T SIM cards. You'll have to sign up for an iPhone phone and data plan with AT&T, but the SIM should definitely work. Go to an AT&T store and have them set up your account and activate your SIM there.
AT&T will NOT be able to unlock your Australia-purchased phones. -
I have both an iMovie.app and iMovie 9.09.app on my Macbook Air. Can I delete one of these apps without losing iMovie? I need to free up space on my Macbook Air as I don't have any space left. I've ordered an external drive in order to move photos and video there to free up space. In the meantime I have to make some room for incoming emails and to open programs. I've already deleted some documents.
You should find out which app you are using when you double click on a movie.

You can use the du command from the terminal to track down usage.

I have one folder with several projects all of which Aperure can not find the original. I do not use referenced files. I can't make any adjustments like cropping etc. What can I do to adjust or print any of these photos? IO have no ther projects with this problem. My Aperture Library is automatically saved to two external drives.

Have you checked inside your Aperture library, if the original files are still there?
Try to find out, when the images in those projects have been originally imported, then open the Aperture library by ctrl-clicking it and using the command "Show package contents" from the pop-up menu. In the window that will open, select the folder "Masters" and browse the contents. You need to find the subfolder with the year you imported the images, then the folders with the month and the day.
Are your original files still there?
If yes, copy them to a folder on your desktop for safe-keeping, and then try, if repairing the permissions and the other Furst Aid tools will help Aperture to connect to these missing files again - see this link: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
If the First Aid Tools don't help, then check, if Aperture has moved the missing images to a "recovered folder". If not, reimport the images, you saved to your Desktop and use the Lift&Stamp tool to transfer any adjustment and captions to your reimported images. -
I have different music files in three computers.
Everytime I connect my iPod into one of these computers it transfer the music files from that computer but delete the music files that I already have in my iPod.
I want all my music in my iPod.

Thanks!I haven't researched it and I don't claim to know everything about iTunes, but it has always been my understanding that you can only use one computer per iPod, but you can have multiple iPods per computer. From what I understand, this is to prevent illegal sharing and whatnot.

Even though they share the same incoming and outgoing server settings, each is a distinct account, so you just need to set up 3 accounts on your iPhone, one for each email address.
Or, since these are all from the same ISP, do they have online account management tools to let you forward two of those to the one account you want to be the "master" account? You still may want separate accounts on your iPhone though, as an account can only have one address associated with it for the "reply" field when responding to emails. -
I have an ipad4 and an iphone 5 yesterday my email decided it would not download to either one of these devices. I have comcast email and I get a lot of email everyday. Yesterday I only received about 5 messages on both my phone and ipad, but when I checked my computer I had over 50. This morning I had 1 message, but on my computer I had 20. I have deleted the email off of both and reinstalled, turned the power off and everything else I can think of. Can anyone help?

The answer is yes. If you use the "alias" method (in iPhoto's Advanced Preference pane - don't copy files when importing) you can use your own source folder system. You can also share the source files with another image management application. There are some unique issues, however. Any edit of a photo by iPhoto is not seen by the other application as the edited version is saved in iPhoto's Modified folder. If the other application can perform edits on the source file and save the edits to the actual source file, iPhoto's thumbnail of that file will not reflect the change but the edit will display when you open the photo in iPhoto's edit window or use that photo in a book or slideshow. If iPhoto hasn't edited before hand. If iPhoto edits the other application's edited version the source file is not touched. Also any file added to an existing source folder has to be manually imported into iView and then moved within iPhoto from its roll to the roll representing the source folder it was placed in via the Finder. When moved in iPhoto the source file will physically be moved to that folder in the Finder. Hope I haven't confused you with this convoluted description.
So with some quirks you can use another application like iView MediaPro on the same set of source files.
I do the above with iPhoto and iView.
