Last week, I was in the same country as the Ipad I connected to through Face Time and it worked. Now, I am in another country and we cannot connect to each other. It just keeps ringing. Is this country related? I don't really know.
When I looked for answers, I found that i had to download Face Time for a fee. I thought it was free. Is that why I cannot connect?

What you can do instead of the partition is create a new user for your son on (YOUR partition).
Transfer all purchases from the device to iTunes Back up the iPad , restore the device , synchronize the device.
Erase your son's partition after you are sure everything works .

This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs?

Since you are covered by warranty, I would take it to your nearest Apple store immediately. There might be a problem with the RAM. And, you have 14 days to return the machine, so if it is not an easy fix, you might want to consider returning it for another machine.

you could jump on your comp and try and install it through itunes onto your ipod, if it works great but if it doesnt im sorry ill have to agree with the guys above me , youll have to get another copy off apple thats designed for your ipod

Has anyone needed to reload face time or other builtin apps?

I seem to have lost facetime as I am setting up my new iphone 4....the only built i app that I seem to have is the game app, not sure how to get it back. I am thinking about doing a restore but am afraid that I'd have to go through the pain of resetting my voicemail & e-mail....

As there is no way to delete the built in apps, there is no way to "reload" them. FaceTime is not an app. It's accessed through Contacts.
What other apps are you missing? Have you checked all the screens? All the folders? Have you checked in Settings to see if you have any restrictions enabled?
In what country did you purchase your iPhone? FaceTime is disabled in many Middle Eastern countries.

IMac intel running 10.9.2 upgraded pages last week, now the machine tells me I need a new version of pages to open documents. Old version of pages is still in the dock, new version is in applications. How do I make this thing work? Thanks

This is frustrating, after going thru the process of updating last week and using pages successfully this machine now tells me the updated version is not the newest. So I went to the app store to buy the new version and it tells me the new version is already installed. Most likely the problem is because the old version is still in the dock. I would think that the upgrade would have taken care of that for me. So how do I get rid of the old version and make the new version my default? Step by step please as I am not Mac literate even thought I've had this machine for over 3 years, it's still a foreign country to me. Thanks SamO66

The icon in the Dock is nothing but an alias pointing to the actual application in the Applications/iWork folder.
Pulling it off the dock really does nothing. Particularly, as you will soon discover, it is the new Pages that is the problem.

There is no FaceTime app to download for the iPhone. FaceTime is built directly into the iOS. Because you purchased your phone in Saudi Arabia, FaceTime has been removed, & there is no way to add it back. If you want FaceTime, sell your phone & purchase an officially unlocked iPhone from somewhere where FaceTime is not banned: like Kuwait or Qatar.

Is this a minimum information puzzle? It is difficult to diagnose a problem long distance when you provide little or no information regarding what actions you are actually taking to export the data or which version of iPhoto you are using. Based on your latest description of how it doesn't work, my best guess is that you are exporting a single frame from your video clip rather than the "Original" file. This is easily checked by opening the file in QT and simply pressing the left/right arrow keys. If the file only contains a single frame, then your export work flow is at fault. Please select the "File > Original" (or similar) option in the export menu to export the entire file in whatever version of iPhoto you are using..

Currently FaceTime for Mac is a 99¢ app and only available via "App Store" for Mac. Make sure you have the latest Mac OS installed (10.6.7), and launch App Store from your dock (you can also access it by clicking on  and choose "App Store...") you can then purchase it through there.

Installing CC apps on 2 or more computers - need to download each time?

Is there a possibility to use or create local installations packets if I need to install CC apps on two or more computers? Or do I need to download each time?
I am on a Mac with OS X 10.8.4 BTW.

Does anyone have this patch or has access to it or any knowledge or idea as to where can i find this?Even though any of us has the patch we are not supposed to mail it as this violates Oracle support agreement policy.
There is no other source to get the patch and most Oracle patches (if not all) can be downloaded from MOS website.
As a back up i've started downloading Oracle apps for a windows server machine as well, in case i am unable to download this patch at least i have a back up. And the bad thing about this is the fact that i am in India and the bandwidth here sucks even with a 2 MB plan. With these speeds this 50 GB download will take another 3 to 4 days. And time is of the utmost importance for me right now..
Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated..We cannot suggest anything about the download speed or the timing, and even if you had a CSI number it would take 3-5 days to get the Media Pack in case you log a SR and ask Oracle support to send you the pack.

In order to reliably save the info and be able to restore at a later date, you would need to use his AppleID.
Switch to it on iTunes, back the iPad up and confirm the backup exists (Preferences / Devices), then switch to yours, wipe the iPad and start afresh. Will also wipe his apps, as they are tied to the AppleID as well.

Please check the list yourself and co,mare the necessary CR version with the one your version of Photoshop utilizes.
