Have just purchased Fac Time. it is downloaded and the icon appears on the dock. When I try to open it i get the message "An internal Face Time error has ocurred". Any suggrstions for a novice.
I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

Your iPads serial number is blocked because you bought it in a country that does not allow FaceTime.
No matter where you go, you can not get it. -
I bought the song 'Go the Distance' by Michael Bolton. It said it had completed downloading but when I play my song it stops 1.01 minutes into it and goes onto the next song. How can I fix this?
It seems like alot of people are having this problem tonight. I dont know how to fix it but i hope apple fixes iTunes soon.

Last week, I was in the same country as the Ipad I connected to through Face Time and it worked. Now, I am in another country and we cannot connect to each other. It just keeps ringing. Is this country related? I don't really know.
When I looked for answers, I found that i had to download Face Time for a fee. I thought it was free. Is that why I cannot connect?What you can do instead of the partition is create a new user for your son on (YOUR partition).
Transfer all purchases from the device to iTunes Back up the iPad , restore the device , synchronize the device.
Erase your son's partition after you are sure everything works . -
I purchased my phone in riyadh. And i just found out that face time isnt available in this country. Is there any possible way for me to download face time.
There is no FaceTime app to download for the iPhone. FaceTime is built directly into the iOS. Because you purchased your phone in Saudi Arabia, FaceTime has been removed, & there is no way to add it back. If you want FaceTime, sell your phone & purchase an officially unlocked iPhone from somewhere where FaceTime is not banned: like Kuwait or Qatar.

Just purchase Face Time for my Mac. Trying to set up, but when I put in my password, it will not connect telling me I have a problem with my network connection. I have no problem connecting to my network. What can I do to resolve this?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Why can I no longer, after having downloaded Lion, write accents and other diacriticals when in the Google, Yahoo, FaceBook, or even here in this post? The new method for getting at the "option" symbols works fine in other places like spotlight, but now even the older "option+letter" doesn't work in most places.
Chrome doesn't support the new accent/diacritics/macron chooser. I'm not sure about other browsers such as Firefox. You can use the old Option+letter combination that Doug suggested. Hopefully updates will solve these little incompatibilities shortly.

My Power Mac G5 will not fully boot without safe mode, it only comes to a blue screen where my cursor duplicates in to 2, (one is frozen, one can move by moving the mouse). What is my problem, and how do I fix it?

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Hi ACI wonder if you can share any responses on to your question above?I too have never used a script but, I have the same problems as you in regards to building a form. Currently FaceTime for Mac is a 99¢ app and only available via "App Store" for Mac. Make sure you have the latest Mac OS installed (10.6.7), and launch App Store from your dock (you can also access it by clicking on and choose "App Store...") you can then purchase it through there.
