Do I need to make an applet with swing point to the JRE 1.4 plug-in? I mean, in 1.3.1 plug-in, if you did not run your code through the HTML converter, the applet would still use the browsers JRE (JVM). However, with 1.4.0, it seems that you don't need to. Is this correct?

When you ran an applet that has been compiled under 1.4 and needs classes or methods from 1.4 with an old HTML file (presumedly with the <object> tag that still refers to JRE 1.3+), the browser is going to look at the <object> tag and see that at least JRE1.3.1 is needed to correctly run the applet and since 1.4, which is higher than 1.3+, is on the system, it ignorantly proceeds to load and run the applet. The problem that you're going to run into is when you deploy the applet on the web and your viewer only have JRE1.3+, your applet which really needs 1.4, will crap out....

thanksThe only way I can think of would be write a method to convert a "normal" y coord to an applet y coord. That would probably end up being a huge pain in the ass, since you would have to pass all y coords through it before using them, so I suggest you just get used to y being upside down.

The immediate thing that comes to mind is they might want to see that you can balance work between design teams and development teams.
To do that, the robots movements (pick up bomb, bomb grows/shrinks, arms/treads/legs moving, sequences of 'doing things') can be timeline based so animators can work on those separate from code.
Developers would be working on the logic of keeping score, moving the robot around to the correct spot with path detection, collision detection, etc.
It's very similar to thinking in simple factories (which Flash is good at being automatically with timelines), and a bit of MVC (or just VC in some cases).
Big companies have lots of different types of employees so you'll probably be very specific in your role so you're efficient.

Any extra settings I need to make for Sql Server 2012 Install for the purpose of SP 2013

I am going to install sql serevr 2012 Ent on a stand alone server Win 2012 box[ say Server2] and I want to make this machine as a db box and will make other box[say Server1] SharePoint box.
[ On Server1 where there is no sql server installed ].
Do I need to make any extra settings /any mappings/config entries in this box before I install sql on this Server2 box.
I mean, in terms of creation of a separate sql instance is required etc ....
In my prev.installations as a standalone SP install with sql installed on the same box.
I am facing issue with development with SP 2013. Because though I am having 16GB RAM in one of my dev machines, with the s/ws like VS 2012, SP D 2013 along with SP 2013 & SQL SEREVR 2012, the debugging is almost NOT
happening[ its taking "minutes" to hit a breakpoint] at all.

ensure the connection \telnet is working.
to instal sharepoint,farm account should have below rights on sql DB.

i tried Use dbstart and dbshut scripts then created file dbora at dbora as a script
then i did

Hi,
The /etc/oratab should have an entry for this database with 'Y' in the last field as:
Oracle_sid: Oracle_Home:Y, so when dbstart command issued it will check the oratab and starts the database.
I advise you to keep the dbstart and dbshut in different scripts and save them directly in the runlevel directories, instead of creating links.

How can I make a table tent in PAGES with both halves of the info and pictures turned towards each other? I can figure out how to turn just the picture upside down AND the text sideways, but not upside down with the picture included so that it is at the top and not the bottom!

Layout the picture and text (in text boxes) the way you want them in the lower half of the page. Then Select All and Group them. With the Group selected, type Cmnd+D to duplicate it and then hold down the Shift and Command keys and grab a corner box (you’ll see a double headed arrow) and rotate the box until it’s upside down. (Holding down the Shift key will constrain the rotation to 45 and 90 degree positions.) Now drag the box into position in the top half of the page.

Good news/Bad news.
Good news....I had a in-App purchae on my latest issue approved in record time. Less than 24 hours.
Bad News...So quick that I didn't notice some things that needing fixing before the folio was approved for sale. Use to 4 days or more and having that window to catch any mistakes I may have missed.
Anyway...this is the first time I need to make a change to a folio already in the store and being sold.
How do I go about it?
Do I need to resubmit the in-app purchase to Apple and wait for approval again?
Or do I just make the change and update the folio in folio producer and it will update in the app store automatically without Apple needing to apporve it again. If someone can give me the run down I'd very much appreciate it. I don;t want to make issues worse as these problems at this point are not super critical but I do know someday I will have to do this for important reasons. So now is the time to learn and do it without the added stress.
A step by step or a link to one would be much appreciated.

I used jdk1.3.1 for development.And I am using IE 5.0 and Netscape4.7 browsers.

HT1766 My iPhone 5 "froze" and the only item that is displayed is an iTunes logo (musical notes) and a white USB cord with arrow pointing towards the logo. I cannot access the iPhone through my computer or get it to do anything else. Dave

While attempting to set up my new iPhone for iTunes the first time, an error message displayed on my computer saying that I needed to restore it to my factory settings and the only function that the iPhone displays is the message listed above.

that's the exact same thing that happened to my iPhone 5. (see my thread) Well that occured after I downloaded the iOS 6.2. The very same image appeared to my phone. What I did was (well the situation left me no option) restored it to factory settings. However, your iTunes must dowload (i think) new version of software for your phone. It took me 3 hrs!. But I also have to warn you. It may still ask you to restore again, and again, and again, after each restoration.
What I did was, disconnect the cable from your phone and computer, then press the power and home button together, hold it down lke that till the apple logo appears. The phone successfully worked but Siri & the voice command keep messing with my calls, playing music by itself, returning to home by itself.

After downloading IOS 7.1 on iPad, it will not come on. I picture of the plug with arrow pointing to the phrase "itunes " continues to appear.

After downloading IOS 7.1.1 on my ipad, it will neither boot up nor shut down . it maintains a picture of "itunes" phrase with a picture under that of the plug and cord pointing toward the phrase. It is stuck!

It is restored now. Thanks for the comment about disabling firewalls - we did that and tried again and it worked.
