Do you have to distribute a form in order for a signature field to work?

I looked through all the settings on Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and I haven't been able to figure out how to save a pdf so that when I open it in Acrobat Reader, I can sign the signature field. When it's in Pro, the field works just fine and the document properties say that signing is allowed. However, if it's opened in Reader, it will not allow the signature box to be signed, as the options are all greyed out. When I look into the document properties while the pdf is open in Reader, it says that signing is "not allowed".
So far the only way I've been able to get the signature field to work is by distrubuting the form and opening up the distrubuted form (which makes sense). What I'm wondering is if there is a way to allow for signing a pdf if it hasn't been distrubuted. 
Any help anyone can give wil be appreciated.

The document has to be enabled with Acrobat Pro, as opposed to Standard which cannot enable a document for signatures. This happens automatically when a form is distributed, but you can do it by selecting: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
The security restriction summary indicates that signing is allowed because it is, in Acrobat. It doesn't mean it's allowed in Reader.

Am I doing something wrong here? If anyone has advice - I would greatly appreciate it. This is the first apple product that I am disappointed with

    i have a problem while SD billing.
    we assigned costelement for newly created condition type through account assignment key and group.
    but system is giving error when posting billing as "You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account".
    I already assigned costcenter to this costelement in OKB9 and also in the costelement master also
    but still have same problem.
    Pls help me the path to make the rules forget co object for costelement.

    I think this problem is from Gl account , maintain the cost center in Gl account and then try once.
    T code FS00 . Click on Edit cost element tab- Default Account assignment,here enter cost center and save.

    While creating a billing document I encountered the following message
    "You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is relevant to cost accounting."
    My billing document got created but my accounting document was not created.I checked the Billing-->header for the error and it says "Error in accounting interface".
    Can anybody throw some light on the reason behind this kind of error?

    Firstly , Check wheather you might have done Revenue account determination (t.code VKOA) with KOFK condition type also and assigned G/L accounts also.As KOFK condition type is used for controlling purpose . So kindly check wheather the cost centers have been created or not and also check wheather conditon types have been assigned or not   (after releasing the billing we can check) .
    Ask your FI consultant  to configure the controlling (CO) part
    Secondly , If the configuration has not yet happened then in VKOA remove the assignment made to your sales orgn +acc assn grp of CMR &  MMR and then go to VF02 and then save the billing document

    Depends on what you had
    If you had iPhoto version 9.5.1 then you can reinstall from the app store under purchases
    If you had any version of iPhoto '11 then you can install for free from the App store
    If you had any earlier version of iPhoto (iPhoto '09 version 8.x.x) or older then you need to purchase iPhoto '11 version 9.x.x from the app store
    If you had iPhoto '08 (version 7.x.x) or older then you also need to download and run the iPhoto library upgraded prior to launching the new iPhoto

    If you do get 3G, you only use cellular when wifi is not available. You pay by the month for a 3/4G plan.

I want to place that album or photos on a thumbdrive, but when I do I lose the order I placed them in the folder.  renamed the photos starting with 1 and ending 262. thinking that would save the photos in order. Each time I try to export them that are placed in original folder names and descriptions need help.

    This is a two part process. First we title the photos, then we export them, using the title as filename.
    To title them
    Once you have then in the order you want select them all and go
    Photos -> Batch Change. Select set 'Title' to 'Text'
    Choose a Title -> Graduation 2013 or whatever, then check the box at 'Append number to each photo.
    Now, in the Album all your photos are named... Graduation 001, 002, 003 etc
    Next Export them:
    File -> Export, and in the Name option, choose 'Title as Filename' and complete the export.

    Sales order detials are stored in VBAK ,VBAP tables,
    U can have selection screen for customer, and upon entering the customer name, u can extract the data from the above two tables.
    Regarding order, is it Purchase order? if so, u cant extract based on perticular order, coz, these orders are not generated in SAP, they come from Customer and can be registered in Sales order for only reference.

    I've had a iPhone 4s since March 2012, and it's battery is pretty useless now.  I was using the app Battery Doctor (Battery Saver, Battery Life) by Beijing Kingsoft Internet Security software, which encourages the user to charge more often, whenever battery life drops below 100% full and greater than 20% full, and gives ratings according to the number of full, partial & overcharges done, but I'm concerned that charging like that actually results in worse battery life??
    I now have an new iPhone 5 and don't want the battery to only last as short as the last one did
    Any advice/comments please

  • I want to have users submit the form in PDF format but it doesn't work using the email submit button

    Hi all,
    I have a form that I want to be returned to a specific email address as a PDF File. This is so that reservations people can open the pdf, and extract the information from it. Keeping it as a PDF will allow them to easily read and use the form.
    When I use the "Add and Email Submit button" approach, as outlined in the "How to" area, everything works fine, except that the format of the submitted file is in xml, not Pdf which is what I need it in.
    I then tried adding a Button to the document from the Library, and set it's "Control Type" to "Submit". This provided me with the submit sub-tab, where I set the "Submit Format" to PDF. In the "Submit to Url", I entered the following - "mailto:[email protected]" (without the quotes)
    The first approach works, but is not in the PDF format that I need (I believe).
    The second approach keeps giving the following error when one selects the submit button - "This operation is not permitted".
    We use Lotus Notes (yes, I know...not my favorite either, and it may be the problem here).
    Any help that might be provided is greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks, but, using the "free" version of Reader, there is no opportunity to open nor import the xml data - the menu options do not exist - there is no import listed.
    If we try to open the xml file directly, then we get an error - something to the effect of "unsupported file type, or the file is corrupted".
    I just noticed in my Pro version that there is the command File ->Form Data ->Import Data to Form... command. Is this what you are referring to?
    What do you recommend? Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to purchase a few copies of Acrobat Pro for the reservations people to use? I was hoping that the free version of reader would do it, but perhaps not?
