Document/Literal SOAP format generation using jdeveloper 10.1.2.0.0

Hi,
Can anyone tell me please how to create Document/Literal SOAP format using jdeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 ??
Thanks in advance,
Khalil

The method that you call must take a org.w3c.dom.Element as an argument, and must also return an Element.
In the web.xml file, the servlet-class for your webservice must be changed to oracle.j2ee.ws.StatelessJavaDocWebService.
You can then either modify your WSDL by hand, or deploy your webservice to an OC4J container, which will then generate a Doc/Literal WSDL for you, and then use that.
When deploying, make sure that the JDeveloper-generated WSDL file is not included in the WAR file.

  • Report Generation using JDeveloper

    hello
    I saw the Jdeveloper Online Demo on generating reports via a JSP Application. From the demo ,i came to understand that i need Oracle Reports also.How to obtain oracle reports separately without downloading the entire Oracle 9i DS? What is the cost involved? Should i download Oracle 9i AS too??

    Hi
    As you mentioned you can use Oracle Reports along with
    JDeveloper.
    You would use JDeveloper to build the UI part either thru applet
    or servlet and invoke the reports from that.
    Invoking reports is very straight forward, all you would need is
    the respective URL for the reports.

  • Incorrect stub generation using JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2.0.0)

    Dear all,
    I'm having some trouble with deserializing the WSDL hereunder:
    http://213.182.157.216/CarRentalAgentService12/CarRentalAgentService.asmx?WSDL
    If you look into this file, you'll see that there are two different schemas defined. When trying to generate the stub for it with with JDeveloper, it only creates the first schema's class (this is the only one with messages defined). The second disappears mysteriously... If I do the same using wsdl.exe from the MS VS .NET Framework, it creates the remaining classes without any problem. Anyone who has a clue in solving this (options for JDeveloper, updates, ... ?)

    Hi Peter,
    Unfortunately, there is no easy way to consume this WSDL using JDeveloper 10.1.2. Support for schema import is comming with the new 10.1.3 EA1 version, which is based on JAXRPC.
    All the best,
    Eric

  • Document/literal messaging with OAS 9.0.4

    please let me know if i have this right...
    my understanding is that if i want to do document/literal soap messaging to a wrapped pl/sql function with OAS 9.0.4 then i have to go rpc/endcoded and use a string for my xml document payload?
    any input would be most appreciated.
    thanks in advance.

    If you are new to Web Services, you should really consider using the latest version of the OAS stack. With 9.0.4, you should only work with RPC/Encoded and the basic data type supported out of the box.
    Using 10.1.3.2 (or any 10.1.3) is really where you want to start.
    This is just my personnal opinion, and I do understand that it's not always possible to move to the latest release. However, pushing back may be your best option.

  • Issue with generation of document/literal type WSDL using Axis

    Hi All,
    I am trying to convert some Java code into WSDL using Axis 1.2 framework. I used Document/Literal style for binding.
    One of the methods in my Java code returns an array. This array is described in Axis generated WSDL as follows:
    <complexType name="ArrayOfThings">
    <complexContent>
    <restriction base="soapenc:Array">
    <attribute ref="soapenc:arrayType" wsdl:arrayType="impl:Things[]"/>
    </restriction>
    </complexContent>
    </complexType>
    But the end user(client for the web service I am hosting) says " .NET won't allow him to consume my webservice (or generate the proper reference classes) for types that derive from encoded types".
    So my question is "Would it be possible to change the webservice so that it doesn’t use that(soapenc) implementation of the array?"
    The end user is expecting something more like this:
    <s:complexType name="ArrayOfThings">
    <s:sequence>
    <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" name="Things" nillable="true" type="tns:Things" />
    </s:sequence>
    </s:complexType>
    I am new to Web Services. So any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Scott.

    Hi Dragana,
    We definitely support the ability to call a web service that exposes two operations (document/literal or not).
    Glancing through your WSDL, it looks good.
    Could you please try to tunnel the second request and see 1) what data is sent to the service and 2) what data is returned by the service?
    Can you please email us a reproduceable case so that we can help troubleshoot in parallel?
    Thank you,

  • Wsdl soap style get RPC need document/literal

    Hi,
    Using jdev10.1.3/jre1.3 to generate webservice wrappers
    How do you change style which defaults to RPC and I need document/literal ?
    Can't really find any properties in the IDE to do it, can anyone point me in to the relevant sections?
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hello,
    Which kind of Web Services are you building in JDeveloper?
    - JAX-RPC (J2EE 1.4)
    - Oracle Web Service stack (J2EE 1.3)
    What is your targetted environment?
    Oracle does not support Document style Web Services in Oracle Web Service stack (J2EE 1.3), it has to be done programmatically.
    However the JAX-RPC stack does support, and it is the default, Document style Web Services and you can right click on the Web Service node to edit the service.

    please suggest me what is the procedure to recover from this.

    Hello,
    How do you package you WS client application to be deployed in JBoss?
    The JAX-RPC clients are not that portable you may need to recompile the client with JBoss WebService implementation/tools, and check that you do have the different deployment descriptors for the client too.

    I have ePub documents that won't open using iBooks, how can i get them formatted so that I can use them

    You could try downloading a program called Calibre.  It is very good at converting files between formats.  I use it all the time to convert PDF's from work to read on iTunes when I don't want to have to keep zooming in and out to read the actual text.
    I know that iBooks will read PDF's but they can get pretty squashed down some times. Especially if the original font was small to begin with.  So I run them through Calibre and then email them to my phone and open them in iBooks.

  • Jdeveloper 10.1.2 document literal web service

    I need to write a document literal style web service to deploy to 10gAS 10.1.2.
    I don't really know where to start. I understand that JDeveloper 10.1.2 doesn't have any wizards that do that for me.
    Can anyone point me to example code or documentation on this?
    Thanks so much,

    Or can jdeveloper 10.1.3 create a document/literal web service that can be deployed in 10gAS 10.1.2?

  • Formatted Search - Using field index to refer to UDF in many documents

    I have some UDFs in my marketing documents - say U_VALUE
    I want to write a fairly complicated formatted search and use it for the same thing across all my marketing documents.
    I don't want to use
    $[ORDR.U_VALUE]
    in my formatted search as this will only work in the sales order document.
    I want to use something like
    $[$4.0.0]
    which brings back the cardcode independant of the form we are looking at. However
    $[$U_VALUE.0.0]
    will not work!
    Hoping someone can help!
    Edited by: Daniel Abbatt on Apr 10, 2008 6:16 PM

    Yes you would have to have a UDF called VALUE on the marketing document for this example to run and even then it will error!
    That's the point, the code above will not work, SBO only seems to be able to know about ORDR in a sales order and OINV in an invoice. So if I am in a sales order, it errors on the reference to OINV, even though the code that uses the
    $[OINV.U_VALUE]
    is never actually accessed by the SQL. I guess this is because SBO does the substitutions before it executes the code.
    All I am basically trying to do is create a generic formatted search that will perform an action using the value of a UDF, say some formatting, the problem is I want it to work with any marketing document.
    The only way I can find to access a UDF though is by having to use the
    $[TABLE.U_FIELDNAME]
    way, which seems to mean by definition I can only create a formatted search to access a header UDF for a single type of document. I cannot create a generic formatted search, that reverses the string for example, and use that formatted search across all marketing documents.
    I know you can access normal fields also by their item reference, i.e.
    $[$4.0.0]
    , but this syntax does not seem to work with UDF, even though the system information shows the item reference as U_VALUE, I cannot use the
    $[$U_VALUE.0.0]
    which would be ideal...

  • JAXRPC  to handle Soap Attachment using JDeveloper

    I need to write a simple web services to handle request with image attachment. JAXRPC is good enough and I don't manipulate the attachment at a lower level. Is there a easy way to do this using JDeveloper, where shall I start with, a WSDL or a Java class? Which version of JDeveloper supports this?
    Thanks,
    Jia

    JDeveloper 10.1.3 supports JAX-RPC.
    You can start both ways - JDeveloper can generate the WSDL for a Java class that you expose as a WS, or it can generate a Java class for a given WSDL.
    See the online demos and tutorials for 10.1.3 for more info.

    I am also having the same problem. Calling a web service inside JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 works fine. When I deploy to a jar file and include all Jars that the dependency analyzer identifies, the following error occurs:
    standard type mapping initialization error: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: javax
    .xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to create SOAP Factory: Provider com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.ver1_1.SOAPFactory1_1Impl not found
    Your work around defining Java system properties does work, but why do we need to do this using the Oracle SOAP stack?
    If there are alternatives to this problem please share. Thank you.

  • Document/literal style wsdl with more than one port

    Recently I have changed wsdl style from rpc/encoded to document/literal as BPEL does not handle soapenc:arrayType. The wsdl contains 2 operations and few complex type definitions.
    In BPEL Designer I have created a process that invokes all operations defined in the wsdl, but only one of them will have some data in the response message and the other one will have an empty message. On the other hand, when I use stub generation to invoke Web Service everything is working fine.
    If I provide separate wsdl for each operation (in BPEL process I would have two partnerLinks instead of one) than it works fine.
    Does this mean that BPEL does not handle document/literal style endpoints with more than one port (operation)?
    I have tested this with the orabpel_2.0_J1_win32.exe and orabpel_2.0rc9_win32.exe. Web Services, used for this test, are deployed in Jboss 3.2.3 and axis-1_2beta3.

    Hi Dragana,
    We definitely support the ability to call a web service that exposes two operations (document/literal or not).
    Glancing through your WSDL, it looks good.
    Could you please try to tunnel the second request and see 1) what data is sent to the service and 2) what data is returned by the service?
    Can you please email us a reproduceable case so that we can help troubleshoot in parallel?
    Thank you,
    Edwin

  • Problem Generating Document/Literal Web Service

    Hi folks..
    I am currently using JDeveloper 10.1.3 (Preview Edition) and I am having trouble getting the Create Java Web Service wizard to work correctly when generating a document/literal web service. After going through the wizard selecting the appropriate settings to generate a document/literal web service from my implementation I get the following error during generation.
    oracle.j2ee.ws.common.tools.api.SeiValidationException
    oracle.j2ee.ws.common.processor.modeler.rmi.RmiModeler.modelPort(RmiModeler.java:587)

    oracle.ide.dialogs.ProgressBar.run(ProgressBar.java:526)
    java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
    When I googled this error I actually get a hit for a thread here on this board, that looks VERY promising... but when I attempt to access it I get a message "Duscussion Forms Error" and I cant access it. (Very frustrating believe me.. :-)
    Any help that you can give would be appreciated...
    Thanks
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
    One reason to have the SeiValidationException is when you do not follow the java bean convention for getter/setter or some of the public methods you want to expose are not throwing the right execption.
    Using the command line utility genProxy [or the ant task] with the debug flag may give you some informations about the WSDL constructs WSA do not understand. Look at the following how-to to get started:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/howtos/how-to-ws-bottomup/doc/how-to-ws-bottomup.html
    If this does not help, can you share your WSDL with us ?
    Thanks,
    Eric
