Printer fonts not maintained

Hi,
A batch job has failed with the error "No printer fonts maintained for ARCHIXOS"
ARCHIXOS is the device type. However instead of ARCHIXOS being called, it should call device type ZSWINCF, where all the fonts are maintained.
The job calls program RM06ENDR_ALV. This program is used for printing and archiving purchase orders.
1) What changes should I do so that the job does not fail again?
2) How can I rectify the already existing PO's which are refering to the wrong device type?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Mick

Mick,
Following is the procedure we are using to configure and test MICR printer and it's devices:
I hope this will help you to understand the config stuff.
1. <b>Font verification</b>
Once the SIMM/DIMM or Secure Font Module is installed, print the PCL Font List (through the printer control panel) to verify that the module was installed correctly and to verify the escape sequence of the fonts.
2. <b>Creating custom device type</b>
Once it is confirmed that printer is capable of printing MICR font, we need to create custom device type for this printer.
•     Execute  transaction code “SPAD”
•     Select “ Full administration” button to expand all available options
•     Select “ Device Types ” tab
•     Type “HP5MI” for  Device types  and press Display
•     Press “ Change” button
•     Go to Utilities -> For device types -> Copy device type to ZHP5MI.
•     Edit Print Control for the new device type ZHP5MI.
•     Scroll down to Print Control for MICR E-13B 10pt which is SF450. (This is device specific)
•     In the “Control Character Sequence” column, enter the hexadecimal escape sequence for the MICR E-13B 10 point of the printer. (This is printer/hardware specific).
The value for current printer hardware is: 1B28384D1B28733070382E30356831302E30763073306231303054
3. <b>Creating new output device</b>
•     Execute  transaction code “SPAD”
•     Click on  “ Change” button
•     Click on “Create” button
•     Enter an output device name as “ Accounting check printer”
•     Enter newly created device type (ZHP5MI)
•     Select default spool server
•     Select host spool access method as “c: direct operating system call”
•     Enter host printer as share print name on server (accounting)
•     Save the setting.
4. <b>Test MICR font printing</b>
•     Execute transaction SO10
•     Select SAP script “SAPSCRIPT-MICRTEST”
•     Click on display
•     Initiate print for displayed text
•     Check out if MICR font is properly printed.

Amey

  • How can I print a LabView report using the printer font (not a windows font)?

My printer is connected via a com interface. For speed reason I have to use the font of the printer. I use the report generation VIs to generate my report. With the VI "Set Report Font.vi" its possible to choose a font but I think only windows fonts are accepted.
Printing from "WordPad" using printer fonts is no problem, just select font "15 CPI" for example. But how does it work with LabView?

Have you already tried this in LabVIEW? What results did you receive when you tried it?

  • Print Will Not Print

We have a HP laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw All-in-One printer.  There are currently 3 computers hooked to it via a wired network.  However, only one of the computers can print to it.  The only way that you can get the other computers to print to it is to completely uninstall the printer and reinstall it.  And then it will only work for the first 1 or 2 prints.  Then nothing.  It doesn't even act like it's trying to print.  If you try to do it from an Office program it will bog down the entire program.

    Hi @MF150,
I see by your post that you are having issues printing over the networked printer. I can help you with this.
Please clarify, is the printer wired to the router or wireless?
The router might be reassigning the printer a  new IP address, which would cause it not be seen over the network.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
    Power cycle the router.
Print a configuration page to get the printer's IP address if you have it back on the network again.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
    Select Method two under Windows.
Check the ports on the computer to make sure they match the printer's IP address.
Go to start, devices and printers, right click the printer and left click printer properties, select the ports tab.
Click on configure port to view the IP address.
If the IP address doesn't match then create a new port with the new IP address.
    Close the configure port window.
Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
Make sure the printer is online.
    Test the printer.
I would setup a static IP address for the printer. Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Under Windows, go to Solution four: Assign your printer a static IP address.

  • Officejet pro 8500 a909n Unable to locate - The printer is not connected

Something, unknown to me, must have recently changed with my printer and or my iMac and MacBook Pro.  I was suddenly unable to print.  When I attempt to print I get this icon on the dock:
I then click on the icon and this is the window that is displayed:
I completed a #6 restart and restarted the computers.  I had no problem establishing a connection with the router, which is a Time Capsule.  On the OSX Printers and Scanners Page I initially had a green light, but after attempting to print the light changes to amber and states "in use Last Used".  If I turn off the wireless radio, I can connect using USB, but prefer to use wifi.  However, after I walk away from the computer for awhile and then come back to print I get the same message.
Is there something I can do to fix this.

  • Printer will not connect

Whenever I try to print something over our wirelessly connected printer, I get an error in the automatic HP Photosmart app that says "Looking for printer. Printer not connected." It knows which printer it should be printing to, as it lists the correct name. At the printer, I connect it to the wireless and nothing goes wrong. So basically it says it is connected but the computer cannot find it. Another less-important problem is that I cannot scan from the printer, I have to remotely scan from the computer. We have had this printer for at least six months, and there has never been a problem.
The printer is a HP Photosmart 5520.
    This question was solved.

    Hello snp46,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you have two different issues with your Photosmart 5520.  The first one is the printer is unable to maintain its wireless connection. The second is you are unable to scan from the front panel of the printer to your computer.
For the first issue, I’ve included the Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection document.  It has steps to take to resolve this issue.  It has a section for Windows and one for Mac OS X.
For the second issue, I’ve added the A 'Computer Not Found' or 'Connection Error' Message Displays When Attempting to Scan from the Print... document.  It has a section dedicated to each of the supported operating systems, however if you are using Mac OS X 10.8 or Mac OS X 10.9 please follow the instructions for Mac OS X 10.7.

  • HP 3054 Wireless Printer WIll Not Stay Connected -

I have had an HP 3054 wireless printer for the last few years.  During this time I had minimal setup issues with the printer. Last month I moved out of state and have had constant issues.
Most recently I have been able to "see" the network when setting up the printer but it would not connect.  I have a UBEE modem router and both a PC with Windows 7 (64 bit) and a MacBook Air with Mac OS 10.7.5
After HOURS (and I mean like 12 hours in total) of playing around on looking on these boards I somehow got it connected to both wireless yesterday.  Last night we had a storm, the power went out and thus my printer was offline and would not reconnect to the network again.
I am not very technical, but I had tried to do a "static lease" yesterday which I thought would keep it from changing the IP if something like that were to happen?
I have no idea exactly what I did, but it looks like I was able to reconnect this morn by reinstalling the software and changing the control channel on the wireless router.  I NEVER had to do this with my old qwest router.
Can someone tell me if I am better off just getting a new printer?  This is a real hassle and annoying is an understatement.
I need a much more permanent solution to this issue.
Thank you for your time and help!

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you cannot print wirelessly with your HP Photosmart Premium c310 on Mac OS X 10.9. I am happy to look into this connection issue for you! I am not sure which support pages you have been to, but here are some that I would suggest going through: 'Printer Offline' or 'Printer Not Responding' Message (OS X).Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. Tips for troubleshooting wireless connection issues
The following tips can help you troubleshoot and avoid wireless connectivity issues. You can try these tips separately or in combination to get a successful wireless signal. Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router. If you are experiencing an intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the router. Objects such as refrigerators, microwaves, or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless transmission.Move any device that emits radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. Such devices can interfere with wireless signals. Are you able to print to the printer with any other wireless devices? Hope this information is helpful, and hope to hear from you soon!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Cannot scan to e mail - Printer does not wake up - Web access issues

I own the HP 7520 AIO since a couple of months.
Everything was working fine untill 2 weeks ago
After a couple of hours , you cannot print anymore, you have to reset the network connection. Sometimes it works just by reseting the wireless , sometimes you have to go for a printer shutdown , plug out the cord (because you cannot power on again the printer by pressing the power button)  and replug. I tried to configure again Wireless connection but I does not solve the issue .
In addition, when I'm trying to access to apps or to scan to e mail from the front panel, I'm getting an error message saying that  it is impossible to connect to Web services.
I tried to reset the printer to factory but now it's worst I cannot configure e print anymore at all...
Scan to computer (to Windows) is working all the time (to Mac has never worked from the printer but work from the computer)
I did not change something to the home wireless (router or others) since I first configured the printer.
Could you please help me to solve these issues ?

    Hi engte,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are unable to scan to email with your Photosmart 7520 printer and also you are unable to connect to web services.
To reconnect to web services please set a manual IP address and DNS servers.  I have included a link to another post I did with the steps (including screen shots).   It also sounds like the router may have had a firmware update so I’ve also included the Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection document.  There are several valid trouble shooting steps to follow if the manual IP doesn’t correct things.
Please let me know how it goes.

  • OfficeJet 8600 Plus Printer Wifi not initializing

My printer has suddenly stopped initializing the WiFi antenna when powered up.  I have not changed any drivers or installed any software that would affect the hardware status.
The WiFi feature was working two days ago. I keep the printer powered down when not in use.  Power up this morning did not initialize WiFi.
    This question was solved.

    Hello KPharmer,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your Officejet 8600 Plus is not connecting to your wireless network. I will do my best to assist you! Have you tried reconnecting the wireless on your printer? If not, please follow these steps: (This information is stated here.)
On the printer touch screen, touch the Right Arrow ( ) to display the second navigation screen.
Touch the Setup icon ( ).
Touch Network , touch Wireless Setup Wizard , and then touch Continue . The printer searches for available networks.
Touch the name of your network, and then touch OK .
If prompted, enter the network password, and then touch OK . The printer connects to the network.
Once you have this setup, I would recommend following this entire HP document on Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great night!

  • Printer will not stay connected to network

The printer will no longer stay connected to the network.  If we turn the printer off and back on again it will print but shorly after it says "The printer is not connected.  Again, turning it off and back on again will allow it to connect.  Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, did not make a difference.   The firmware is the latest and all drivers are up to date.
Solution??  I have two kids in college and this is becoming very frustrating.
    Thank you,
    Joanie

Hi @jraitt , I would very much like to help you with your 6500a plus.
Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
As a work around, if the issue persists, you could connect an Ethernet cable from the printer to the router. This will disable the wireless in the printer and possibly allow a more stable connection. If however you connect an Ethernet cable and the issue persists, we will then know the issue is not the printer at all and is the router.
    I hope this helps.

  • Problem in Print Program, picking JECS value but not maintained

    Hi,
I have a report for Invoice Printing.
My query is related to Item conditions that in one item we have not maintained JECS condition of 3% but when we are printing the program, that is printing Education cess 3%.
This is done by the user mistake, because when we maintain JECS condition for 3%, the same output will be shown.
But in my case, user forgot to insert this condition. After that printout showing the Education cess 3%, but in VF03, respect to that line item conditions there is not maintained JECS condition.
    Pls guide..how it is possible..
    Regards..

comment these lines in ur program & see
    w_ctrlop-no_dialog = 'X'.
    w_compop-tdnoprev = 'X'.
