Execute planning function in Web template for selected row in analysis item

Hello all.
I have been trying several different solution for this issue I have, but could not ,make it work. Hopefully, any of you can give me some ideas.
Initially the scenario seems to be easy.
I have a Web template were I show a query analysis item with costcenter, plan/act type, user and entry date. I allow single record selection in this item.
I have a button that should execute a planning function from the plannig modeler.
The planning function should be executed only for the costcenter and plan/act type which are selected in the analysis item.
How do I have to link the two objects :analysis item and planning function, so that the planning function is executed with the correct filter? What should be the filter definition (if any expecific things to consider)?.

Thanks a lot for your answer, but it did not solve my issue.
The problem is that my query is not created over the same agregation level as the planning function is, and as per the link you have sent me it seems to be a prerequisite.
Is there any other way to do it?
More in detail, I am implementing a Lock/Unlock mechanissim for planning costcenters. I have a n ODS where I store my costcenetr status(lock or unlock) and I also have a cube where the planning values are stored.
My query(to select the costcenter to unlock) is done from the ODS, and my planning function is done in an aggreagation level of my cube (this is to lock the costcenter in cube, to avoid incorredct updates while it is unlocked/locked).
The issue that I have is that I can not find a way to send the selected information from the query to the planning function.
I hope you have more ideas.

How to write HTML code in Web Template for selection screen

Hello All,
Is it possible to write a html code in the web template html tag so that the output of the html is displayed in the selection screen, i.e before the execution of query.
I know that we can write html, which will be displayed once the query has been executed, but can it be done for selection screen.
if so, how.
My exact requirement is : to display a 2-3 lines of text in the selection criteria screen - sort of, various options available to user for entering values in the selection screen. I was thinking of putting this text using HTML code in the selection screen.

No, unfortunately nobody replied to this thread. So i assumed it is not possible to modify the selection screen thru html code.
Btw, as my requirement was to provide user with multiple answers on the selection screen. I did the validations on customer exit and popped an errror dialog when applicable.

WAD - input locking for selected rows in planning querie!?

hello guys,
i need some ideas - in which way i can lock data entry functionality in IP query for selected rows? some rows in the query have an indicator S (sum) and some I (input). so i have a chance for selection, which rows are input rows and which rows are sum (dsiplay) rows.
but all rows are input ready in sap standard querydefiniton and i need some ideas how i could implement an row specific inputfunctionality.
example

dataslices are no option, because i need to change the "Sline-rows" data via planning functions.

Hi David,
of course, it is possible to use two structures in BI-IP, e.g. one containing the key figures (may be restricted) and another one used in the rows where one uses only characteristic values. But then the number of lines in the row structure is static. It is possible to drill-down other characteristics as ususal.
One idea is to use you characteristic containing the 'S value' as a navigation attribute and to create a row structure containing two lines, one with the restriction # and one with S and the corresponding setting for input readyness (maybe a cell definition for input readyness is needed here). Then drill-down by the base characteristic of the navigation attribute. What is not so nice then that one will get a group change: drill-down characteristic by the row structure; but the system generated characteristic relationship for navigation attributes makes the non existing combinations not input ready.

Input Help (F4) does not work for Planning Functions in Web

Hi Gurus,
I am working in BI-Integrated Planning.
When I execute a planning function from web layout (through Web Application Designer), the "Input Help" does not work. When I give F4 it takes me to the initial planning layout screen from the planning function variable screen without any action being performed.
But the "Input Help" works fine when I have to select for the variable from the initial selection to open the planning layout.
Can anyone suggest me any fix for this...

500 Internal server error in web template for specific users

Hi We have issue with Web templates for some of the users giving error "500 internal Server Error", all other users able to run the same report.
We have authorization for the user and following variable which will give target currency selection in variable screen.

SLD is not down its in active , I checked SLD url and Technical system also
Its in active , but when the problem is happend they done restart
but many times its happening every time restart is not preferrable ,upto that one is production system.
SLD is in active , but why the JCO'S ARE DISABLE under content Admin
where we can search the SLD user , we checked in SU01 but the user didn't exist there
If user is lock in the sense after the restart again it's working fine
I want to know the Root cause , why bcz it's simultaniously happend.

Looks like there is a characteristics relationship which derives the attribute store from Region.
Check the master data for Region for attribute Store and the corresponding values.
The values that are maintained in the master data will only be allowed to enter in the cube.

Macro Error while executing planning functions or saving data

Dear All,
I am getting following error in BEx Analyzer while executing planning function or pressing a save button.
Note: Excel is 2007 version.
Cannot run the macro "XXXXXX.xlsx". The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled.
I changed the settings in Macro Settings (Office Button -> Excel Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings-> Macro Settings) eventhough it is showing that above message.

Enalble all macros
Trust access to VBA project object model.
If anybody faced this issue kindly reply to this.

i am facing exactlythe same issue! I am currently running GUI Patch Level 14 and BI Add on Patch Level 10.
I have also adjusted all necessary settings in Excel Options like Activate all Macros and Trust VBA Coding.
Does anybody have another Solution.
As mentioned before Gui Patch 13 and BI Add On Patch 10 obviously arent the solutiuon.

I am working with a SAP how to paper, which is called:
How To... Execute Planning Functions and Sequences from MS Office Ribbon.
It is working absolutely fine and I am pretty satisfied, but as you probably know "Control the visibility of a button based on the visibility of a related crosstab: the button just disappears once the related crosstab is not located on the active sheet."
This means, when I insert different queries in different crosstabs, only one crosstab will have my own created ribbon. Is it also possible to set another specific ribbon with other buttons for another crosstab? Can I change the macro, included in the appendix of the how to paper, regarding this issue?

Question regarding the default web template for queries

Hello,
I am trying to learn the default web template that is using for queries:
0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING70
I see that it's <bi:QUERY value="" /> is empty which is logic since the query will be inserted on runtime. My question is, where in the web template does it say that? I can't see any parameter it expects to get with the query's technical name not at the webtemplate code nor at the URL...

Roy,
I think you are mixing things. The template you are mentioning is used for queries that are executed from the query designer. It's not a web template as any other one you create for your users. So, this web template has some parts in it's code that works with the query execution. When you run a query, the system takes the query definition (made in QD) and executes it with the web template indicated for the query. This determination is made by the program that is used to run queries. You can try using RSRT transaction to debug and check how this it's done. If you want to change the default web template used by query designer to run the queries, you should do it copying any standard template, like the one you mentioned. If you don't do it, you won't get the information correct.

i want to debug this or test this function. how to do that.
i went to T.Code BPS0, but i m unable to find my planning function there. why in BPS0 it is bot displaying planning functions created by me?

Go to transaction SE80
choose internet service option.
enter a name for the service and hit enter, the system will prompt with a message that the service is not available do you want to create clik yes.
choose the radiobutton screen based application and enter the transaction code and hit enter.
once the service is created, right click on the service name and click create Template, enter the program name (it will be defaulted from the transaction) screen number and hit save.
once created you have to activate it and publish it to ITS server.
Which version of SAP are you using? you can show your transaction on the web using ITS without creating template also.

Use ANY web template for a theme?

is it possible to use ANY web template (for ex from template monster) and make it a theme in iweb in which everything still stays connected together?
Rather than just searching for exact "iweb themes"? cause they all look super generic.

No, you can't unless they were designed for iWeb and come with an installer. If you want something more unique start with a blank white or black theme page and build your own.

You can find out by looking up the query in the metedata repository (RSORMDR) or by just pulling and collecting it in the transport connection.
