Document Name & Download file Link should display together

Dear Friends,
i am working with apex_3.2 .
i have created form with report on forms i have displayed 5 file browser item.
in report these 5 document file display as a download link in report.-
i want to display document name Download link together in one report column like below
eg

While downloading the properties need to be binded properly then it works fine.

"File Link" - Images - displaying landscape image as portrait image

I am trying to link a image by using file link button. I have a image of size, width 10' and height 6'. When i link this image in reports, it doesn't come up in these coordinates. It is displaying as 6x6 size image. I have tried to link other images also. Report doesn't display linked images in their actual size, even if i change the size of rectangle in reports for these linked files.
Any idea how to fix this in report?

I have figured it out. In paper layout mode it doesn't display right size. But in paper design mode it is showing full image.

Why do I get error : InDesign could not package the document ' name of file ' . Cannot copy necessary linked file(s).

I am create a very basic 36 page magazine. I have never ever encounter this issue in the 10 years I have been creating these. I have been getting this issue ever since the cloud InDesign. It is making it very difficult to get my work to press. I have no errors! All items are linked. I've gone through and relinked. I've removed items. I feel like I've tried many things. Anyone have any ideas???

Thank you so much!!! I just did a test run with an old file and changed all of the file names that had symbols and it worked!! It packaged for me without errors. So great!!!!

Why does Firefox 29.x crashes every time I click a download file link?

Immediately after automatically updated to Firefox 29.0 every single time I click a link to download any file, Firefox crashes. It also crashes when using cPanel (cPanel sometimes opens windows in a frame, or at least that's how in appears). Please see the most recent crash report below:

I tried the following, which did not help:
* Reset the profile
* Turn off hardware acceleration
* Remove and download list (downloads sqlite)

Wouldn't be a handy update if at the top of the open Pages document, next to the Apple and Pages menu option, it showed the open document name or file name?

Just as the title says, really.

I'm not sure where the Apple and Pages menu option is. When I'm editing a document in iCloud Beta the name of the document is in the window caption (below).
But your suggestions should be sent directly to Apple and you can do that via the Send Us Feedback button at the top of the document list page:

Safari re -names download files as message part - 1...

Hi,
Safari has recently started to re name anything I download from my I Cloud e mail "messagepart-" and then numbers each download numerically (i.e. "messagepart-1, messagepart-2, messagepart-3" and son on).
I'd rather it downloaded anything I ask it too with the original file name as it appears in my e mail (as it use to).
Can anyone please advise.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

While downloading, the Download Window is empty and remains so once it's complete. How do I get the downloading file info to display in this window?

I'm using FF 4.01 and have had this problem since upgrading.

Did you check the settings?
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" >"Remember what I've downloaded"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

How can we change Topic Names Generated after linking a document

I linked a document and generated a topic in RoboHelp for HTML. The topics are generated with some names and i am not able to rename them after they are generated.
I tried doing this as per help
Define the topic name pattern for generated topics
When you set heading styles for pagination, the heading text is included by default in the filename of the topic file created in RoboHelp. For example, suppose you define Heading 2 for pagination. If the Word document has two Heading 2 topics, “Introduction” and “Beyond basics,” the topics are created as files named introduction.htm and beyond_basics.htm. The result is intuitively named HTML files that indicate the topic title. In addition to this default scheme, you can define more naming conventions. If, however, the Help system uses sequentially numbered files, such as helptopic001.html, helptopic002.html, and so on, you can define the pattern to support that convention.
Do one of the following:
Select File > Import > Word Document.
Select File > Link > Word Document.
Select File > Project Settings.
In the Conversion Settings dialog box, select Other Settings.
In the Other Settings tab, set the topic name pattern.
Topics are named according to the selected pattern. You can select one of the following or create a topic name pattern.
Default
Uses the topic title text as the topic filename.

But, still its doing the same. Can anybody help me .
1. How can i generate what i need .
2. or How can i rename the topics which are genrated.
When i import word document, i can rename the topics. But, when i link them. They are readonly.

I verified it at my end and found that at times the "other settings" are lost if only other setting are updated but this behavior is a bit random.
I have a workaround for this issue :-
1. please link the document first
2. Open the File->project setting dialog and click Edit button for Framaker setting (this wont cause any issue as you wont be using these settings)
3. In "conversion setting" please update any "other settings" and then click OK
4. Now on the other setting for word documents will get retained and after this it will always be retained for even the new projects.
5. then OK on project setting dialog and can verify it by reoprning these settings

On click download file to client machine via browser

I am J2EE beginner. I am trying to write a simple JSP application which allows users to download a file. I mean on the home page a file link should be visible to uses and when any one clicks on it, it prompt for downloading or just directly starts downloading on the users computer.
for this i have search through internet but could not get simple solution. Some people say that just put the file into anchors and u r done. But it is not working correctly.
please guide me through steps by which i can do it or refer to me an existing example if possible.

We can suppose that there will be only one jar file on the server to download.

Open download file with MS Word as .doc

I apologize if this is a moronic question, but I cannot find an answer anywhere.
I have written an application that generates a download file that should open in Microsoft Word, and be recognized as a .doc, NOT a .txt file.
My code includes the following, where wordName is like "something.doc":

The file downloads, has the ".doc" suffix, and opens with MS Word. The specific problem is that "Returns" in the file appear as little squares inset in the text. If I do a "Save As" on the opened document, the suggested format is ".txt", not ".doc". If I save the document as a .doc and then reopen in, the little squares are gone - MS Word is now actually opening a .doc, and not a .txt file.
I guess my question, then, is: is there something else I can set to the response to get Word to open this file correctly the first time, rather than having to do the "Save As" routine?

Has the document been saved on the server side using MS Word? Was the same version of Word used to save it?
I think word is very picky about such things, it doesn't sound like a problem with your servlet.

How can I open a pdf document after downloading is complete and there is no screen reference to file name?

I'm having a problem trying to locate a downloaded PDF file. I'm using Windows 7, and have Adobe Reader XI installed. From a given site some downloads will appear with a listing of individual pages within the document, or there will be a window appearing that has a series of icons to print or scroll, etc. At other times, from the same source & type of document, I will get a representatrion of doanload progress, then a "DONE" when completed. There is no notification anywhere on my screen as to file name or where to look for this download. I even go into "Documents", downloads, recent places, etc. to try and find a listing, to no avail. I also open Adobe Reader to see if there is any clue, again, to no avail. Incidentally, when Adobe Reader opens, there isn't any provision for scrolling, yet there appears to be additional information below the bottom edge of my screen. I sure would appreciate some help on this problem.

On my Windows 7, with any browser, all downloaded files go into the Downloads folder.
If you can't find your downloaded PDF docs, try a search for *.pdf

How do I get a "Details" display--as the default--when downloading a file, in the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box?

When I receive an attachment to an email, and I click it and select "Download", I get the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box (because I already set the option to "Always ask me where to save files." But the file display always defaults to a "List". At least recently. I don't recall it always doing that. In any case, I want it to default to a "Details" display, in ascending order, as I can then find things sooo much faster that way. (I often use the "Date Modified" tab to bring to the top the most recent version of a file.) I know that I can go to the "View Menu" icon and select "Details", but each time I go into a sub folder while in this dialog box, I have to do that all over again and it wastes a lot of time and attention.
I did some internet searches but didn't find a way to fix this.

The dialog box you are describing is controlled by Windows, not Firefox, so unfortunately Firefox cannot change what you see by default.
I think your best bet would be to ask on the [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp?auth=1 Windows support site].

This doesn't make sense. It's more complicated than that.
OS X will offer to install Java if you need it, unless you've gone in and deleted stuff and made a mess of things. Did you manually go deleting stuff?

KM Document iView for file download - filename

Hello,
we have a hyperlink on our portal logon page for downloading a word document. This link points to a KM document iView. The iView has the property "Path to Document" set to the document in the KM.
By clicking the link, a file download pop-up appears. But the filename of the downloadable file is the path of the iView - and not the real name of the document.
Is there any possibility to get the real name as name for the downloadable file? Or should we use another iView?

Your problem seems to be different, I've no idea.
But we already fixed our problem, I forgot to post. Here's our solution:
The solution was to create a KM Docs iView with anonymous authentication schema pointing to the download file. Then we created an URL iView pointing to this KM Doc with appending the filename AGAIN to the URL (because otherwise the iView ID will appear as filename). In the page a hyperlink now is pointing to the URL iView and after clicking it, the download starts with the correct filename.
