Documents Tables

HI ALL
Can any one clarify me in which tables the documents data is stored in Bex. We use documents for commentary. So can anyone say where this commentary data stores in BW system i.e in which tables does this store.
Thanks
Sunitha.

  • BLOB download via WPG_DOCLOAD not working: what's with the document table?

    Hi,
We upgrade our APEX application to 4.2 on RDBMS 11.2.0.1.0, and now our file downloads are failing with 404-not found errors.
Documents are stored as BLOBs in a dedicated table TICKETDOC. Uploading works fine via APEX, I can query the docs in the table and all is looking fine so far.
I have a report column formatted as HTML, making it a clickable thumbnail which should open the file in a separate browser window when clicked.
    HTML format for column:
    +*
    <img src="#OWNER#.DOWNLOAD_FILE?p_id=#THUMBNAIL#" height=40">
    </a>
    *+
This is supposed to call our own procedure TICKET.DOWNLOAD_FILE, which calls WPG_DOCLOAD:

The idea is to display a thumbnail image which, when clicked, will open the document (image, pdf, whatever) in a new browser window.
Executing the procedure in SQLDeveloper works fine and I can query the downloaded BLOB (getlength etc).
However, when I click the thumbnail in the APEX application I get a 404.
Enabling debug via exec dbms_epg.set_dad_attribute('APEX', 'error-style', 'DebugStyle') yields the following:

I made minor adjustments to the original (pre-4.2) code:
    * initialised owa with some environment variable
    * registered DOWNLOAD_FILE in wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local
    but still no success.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

    As I understand:
    The procedure works.
The link 'appears' to work. (ie you saw the procedure run a 2nd at the database level)
But it doesn't actually work (because you get a 404)
I think I ran into an issue, on a completely different page type, that produced an 'error 404'. (I can't seem to reproduce it, though)
The only way I discovered what was really going on was with an HTTP sniffer. (eg HTTPFox for FireFox)
Through that, I noticed that the browser was (for some reason) calling a completely non-sensible APEX page. (hence the PAGE NOT FOUND error)
My solution was to add a "submit to self" branch point.
If that doesn't work, I'm at a loss.

  • PDK pl/sql add_item function and documents table

When we use the add_item function to add an item and upload its content, does the add_item function uploads document content to the document table in the repository?(like the upload_blob() function)
If yes, can I remove the uploaded document from the filesystem after having uploaded it in the documents table?
The PDK API says that there is no supported view for querying the document table. Is there any other way to query the documents in the document table? Or any additional information about how the documents are stored in the document table or how the documents table works?

    Duplicate thread ->
PL/SQL add procedure with nested table

  • Master and Document Tables ...

What relation do Master and Document tables have to parent and child tables?
Should I declare all my created tables master and master details ?
how can I establish my relationships, foreign keys and primary keys with all these fields created by SAP ?

    Hi Neftali,
You can create UDOs by using DI API, you have many threads talking about it in this forum.
If you don't want to use UDOs (which are very useful) then you should not use MasterData,... tables because this tables shouldn't be modified by using SQL queries. These kind of tables are designed for use with UDOs to avoid the whole management of the Forms for the Add/Update/Find/Delete,... actions.
Have you had a look to B1DE? You can download it from main B1 page in SDN for free and it generates for you the code of your addon for managing many of the aspects of the B1 SDK. You can maybe give it a try!
You can block users from viewing/using specific menus in B1 by using the UI API.

    Trinidad.

  • Error reading the standard sequence from the document tables

    Hi PM Experts,
    Please help!
Recently SAP patching is carried out in our R/3 environments. Before patching, all our customized RFCs were working correctly.
We are using BAPI ''BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL'  in a RFC.  After the patching, the version date  of  the BAPI ''BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL'   is changed to new date of patching.
Now, when we are calling the customized RFC,  ''BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL'  is returning an error  'Error reading the standard sequence from the document tables'.
This comes when we are pasiing any order with Order type 'ZM02' ( Maintenance Order - Preventative). It is working absolutely fine with Order Type ZM01(Maintenance Order - In Hours Opex).
Sometime, when RFC is run individually, it works fine with same data and sometime it is throwing this error with the same data. Very Inconsistent.
Please advice whether patching is the reason.
    Any advice..is welcomed.
    Many Thanks,
    Rohit

    Thanks a lot.
We found that the flow of the code(RFC) was making a situation  where even correct order id was passed to this BAPI, the result was an error 'Error reading the standard sequence from the document tables'. we reverted the RFC to it's earlier version. now that problem is not there.

  • What is "Advance Row Ref" field on JE Form Settings -- Document-- Table

    Hi Experts,
Can someone please tell me what is ""Advance Row Ref" field on JE Form Settings > Document>Table" check box.
    Regards
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
it's a functionality used to autopopulate the Ref3 field in the matrix of the JE. For example, you enter a BP or GL account & manually enter the value of '5' in the Ref3 field, when you now click on the account code field to enter an account in the second row, the application will automatically put in the manually entered value+1 into the Ref3 Ffield in the second row, here '6'.

  • Invoice Receipt document (TABLE RBKP) based on Sales Order (table VBAK).

    Hi Folks,
I have to find Invoice Receipt document (Table RBKP) based on Sales Order (table VBAK).
Please tell me how the two documents are linked.
    Thanks,
    Punit

I don't know table RBKP, but I would start by seeing if I could find the value of RBKP-BELNR or XBLNR as the next document in table VBFA.  If found, then you know how to read VBFA forward from sales order (VBAK) to VBFA with correct next document type, then to RBKP with the document number....
Don't know if this will work, but this is the first approach I would take.

Please guide to resolve this issue.

Better option is : Debug the report from which point it is raising this Error?
2.what kind of error it is --> like SHORT Dump or syntax errror ?
3.check DB status --> like active state or any syntax in table Definations.

  • Link Between Material Document and Accounting Document Tables

    Hi Abapers,
Can u pls tell me, How can i link Material Document Tables  (MSEG and MKPF) and FI tables (BSEG and BKPF)?
The actual scenerio is when we confirm order in Production Planning. I want to pickup value from FI tables.
    Thanx in advance.
    Regards,
    S.GUNA

    Hi Guna,
you can always use "Environmental Analysis" of the tcode where you are confirming the order., for finding the underying tables.
    1. Get the main program of the Tcode (order), by system status menu facility.
    2. Goto se38 and give the main program name and click the
Environmental Analysis button, the icon adjacent to where-used three pegged icon.
this will list the tables . narrow down to FI segment and find out.
