I have heard rumor that the new OS4.0.1 fixes the speed issues with the iPhone 3G, but can not verify at work. Is this true?

Yep, no difference here. Still laggy, no freezes yet, but haven't really pushed it yet.
So Apple still haven't acknowledged this as problem and it would seem that they have no intention to fix it. I've owned Macs since before they had hard-drives and I've never looked back. This whole issue has totally killed my love for Apple. I'm not as ****** off as I am saddened and disheartened.
All Apple had to do to keep my trust and my loyalty was to admit to it being an issue and tell us they were doing their best to solve it. Instead I had an Apple "genius" child tell me it wasn't the OS, I have a old phone and just like an old computer I should update to the iPhone 4. I almost laughed in his face. I asked him if it was an old phone why was it still being sold as a new phone up until June 7 2010? The "genius" didn't have an answer for that one.

Well!
If you have ThunderBolt, I would go with such for an External Working Drive, spinning platter or SSD depending on your budget
This does not have to be huge just big enough to house your most current Jobs
Once the Current Job is put to rest I would move it to a larger multi bay hard drive unit, USB or FireWire nothing fancy, no RAID, set up as one single Disk
This would only be accessed when something is needed from a past Job so the connection does not have to be speedy
The Drobo would be relegated to Vaults and backups
You can set up a Vault on the Drobo to back up the External Working Library and then Reconnect it when you have moved the Library over to the other Enclosure
This has worked for me pretty smoothly for a long while, but I have found over the years that one can not assume all people work in the same manner! :-)

That depends on the level of charge...if it is fully discharged it could take two-three hours. If only partially discharged, an hour. But that is only guessing as it depends heavily on the charge level when you start charging.

Same here.. My iphone 5s wifi does not working properl. It feels like sometime connected and sometime not, i have reseted the network setting, turned location service for wifi off and on. But there's nothing changed.
Battery and everything are just fine

Apple isn't going to "fix" this with a software update either, because it's a hardware problem on your phone. Take your phone to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

Does 8.0.1 improve the slow startup issue in LabVIEW 8?

I am also VERY disappointed in NI w/ LV8. It's bad enough that LabVIEW owes me a free utility that allows me to move all my code back to good ol' 6.1 or at least 7 or 7.1.
There's no question that LV8 is a piece of crap that is way slower, crashes way more often, hogs way more resources, is far more arcane in the way things are organized, has lots of irritating behavior changes that you can't make it stop doing, has basically none of the enhancements that I feel LabVIEW needs, and has important features removed.
On the other hand, 8.0.1 was a lot faster on startup for me.

There was a bug where the Ultrabeat sequencer would run, but no sound would come through the channel strip. It's pretty annoying to have to pay $30 for a bug fix, but I might do it, if it would indeed fix the bug.

I'm currently using UB as my click track. I created a custom template in UB and imported my click samples. I do not set up UB at concert level but instead set up UB at each one of my SETS level. I set the tempo and time signature under each SET.
I then map a button to ACTIONS>PLAY/STOP not to CLICK(name of channel strip)>ULTRABEAT (Drum Synth)>SEQUENCER PLAY/STOP. This allows me to stop and start the click track and for the drummer to count the song off whenever he feels like.
I then use PLAYBACK to play my backing tracks in time with the click. I map a button for PLAYBACK to NAME OF PLAYBACK TRACK>PLAYBACK>TRANSPORT>PLAY/STOP (From Start).
Under my PLAYBACK options I set SNAP TO>BEAT and PLAY FROM>CURRENT POSITION.
The only problem I've found with this is that if you start the PLAYBACK before the UB click it will turn on the UB click. Other than that it has been working well for me.
Also, add a button mapped to PANIC somewhere in your setup so you can cease any/all midi/tracks at anytime.

i tried a donwgrade but the soft ruin my slim card. i went to the Celluar Company and they must change the chip.
i tried everything, but nothing happends.
NOW WITH THE NEW UPGRDE OS 4.1 IT IS COMPLETLY FIX.
I HAVE ALMOST THE SPEED OF THE 3G 3.1.3 I am happy after being complety angry the Apple for not tell the users that os4 was not a soft to run on the 3g, because of the speed.
NOW IT FIX. PEOPLE TRY TO UPDGRADE AND ON THE SPECIFIATION OF THE UPGRADE YOU WILL SEE THAT SAYS FIX PROBLEMS ON THE 3G iphones, and it is true.

After 5 days my phone is worse than ever with the 4.1 I'm so fed up with it now, full battery drops as soon as i switch on, if i check email or answer one call the battery is almost gone within a few hours, it freezes, it stutters, it took 30 seconds for it to switch on this morning plus other things. Genius checked my battery before i put the new update & he said it was ok but that with the new update it should be fine....it was..for a few days! I've done all the usual things like reset etc no change.
What a huge let down!
