hi can anyone help
i have installed papervision and i cant seem to get flash to
recognise it
(not that ill understand how to use when i get it to work)
i followed the download instructions to the letterand i have
all the correct files and allthe correct paths in place i.e telling
actionscript 3.0 where the file is... but when i open up flash i am
supposed to see a PV3D panel when i go
window/otherpanels
but it isnt there
any ideas please

You don't give the exact model number of the Canon printer, but in general I go to the Canon web site, download the appropriate driver, assuming there is on for your model and Mac OS X version, then run the installer, then use System Preferences, Print and Fax. With the printer connected and turned on, it should show up after clicking the plus sign and you can add the printer as a new print queue.

The only way to get 10.5 is to purchase it on CD. Such as http://www.amazon.com/Mac-OS-Leopard-10-5-10-51/dp/B0012RAVRC where is being sold for $179.99.
If your optical drive is broken, you will either need to replace it or get an external. There is no other way.
Why do wish to upgrade? As you can see it is going to be expensive, probably more the Mac is worth.

If you need to write or modify documents made with Word, Excel, or Powerpoint, then you need Office. Otherwise, you don't. If you already have it then installation just involves double-clicking on the Office Installer's icon.

I'm having a very hard time to find out how to instal a 33600bps modem on my OS X 10.7.4. The modem is conected to my MBP through a Prolific USB cable which I already have instaled. My problem is to be able to connect the MBP to this 33600bps modem.

Just to make sure I understand correctly:
This is a modem just for faxing or for an internet connection?
If it is for an internet connection, what company (ISP) are you dealing with???? This would be an extremely slooow dialup connection.
Most ISP's either require you to rent or purchase one of their modems or have an "approved and compatible model" list so you can go out and buy one yourself.

i have purchased Fallout 3 GOTY edition and i can't seem to play it. i have wine and winebottler, and many other zip programs. I can install the game and everything and after it downloads, i press run program, but nothing happens? .. i also have bootcamp but cant seem to download that?? even with wine bottler and all that noting happens and i cant download and install bootcamp?? can anyone help with info on running a pc game on a mac please? i have a macbook pro that i purchased in early 2011 and it has heaps of space, and has intel core processor and all that?? if that helps

First... WineBottler is VERY OLD and no longer updated. Use Wineskin instead if your trying to get games running on your own.
Second... You may want to become a member over at portingteam.com forums... there is a working Fallout3 wrapper over there you can download and use. I think it was made with Wineskin.

So, I'm trying to do a direct install of Windows 8 on my old Macbook Pro, but my machine isn't officially supported for Windows 8; I get an error message every time I try to use boot camp. I previously had Windows 8 running, but that was because I had upgraded it from Windows 7. Later on I ran into problems because I couldn't update to Windows 8.1 so I ended up deciding to just erase the partition and start over. Since then, unfortunately, I've lost the Windows 7 install disc I used and now it turns out Boot Camp won't help me do the install. Is there a way of manually installing Windows 8? Without the help of Boot Camp? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Just purchased new MacBook Pro (OS 10.9) but not sure how to make it work with my Epson SX435W printer. I went to the Epson website to download drivers, they download but when I click on them it says 'cannot be opened because it is an unidentified developer'?!?
