Does ASPIRE 7738G Bios support T9600 PGA478 CPU?

Hihave an Aspure 7738G with T6600  and want to swap it with FSB 1066 T9600. So Does ASPIRE 7738G Bios support T9600 PGA478 CPU? From what I can read the chipset 45 does support most 2 Core Duo  P socket chips. The T6600 is FSB 800  but the 7738G supports both FSB 800 and 1066. Can buy a new HP T9600  (spare part) and want to know will the Bios support it.

KarstenE,
I do not see that we have tested that specific processor in this system, but I do see that we have some models that use 1066 FSB speed CPUs, for example: P7450, P8600, P8700, Q9000, T9550.

  • H8-1414 / Does Angelica2 mobo bios support Vishera processors?

I have an H8-1414 which I upgraded to a 500W PSU and installed a GTX 650 to get decent game performance after some overclocking. Now I am looking to upgrade from the FX-6120. HP product information shows the mobo compatible with FX-8150 and others in the Zambezi line. Has anyone tried one of the new Vishera AMDs in this or similar machine? If they are incompatible, does HP plan to upgrade the Bios to support those?
    Thanks.

I finally upgraded my h8-1414 to the FX-8350 processor (waited all year for better pricing!) and it works really well. I had to keep the original HP CPU cooler instead of using the stock AMD cooler because the mobo did not have the required socket adapter. But it seems it was better this way - the AMD cooler is known for being too noisy and with the HP cooler, at full load, I barely exceed 50C and don't hear a thing. I am honestly impressed with this machine - not only I have been able to upgrade the PSU and GPU (to a Radeon HD 7870) with no issues (not even had to touch BIOS for Win 8), I find that the CPU cooler is really very good and the case manages to remove hot air quite well. I don't work for HP, just think I got more than my money's worth with this machine - going on for one year of daily use and not a single failure!

  • BIOS support for DTR Cpu's

Just wondering if anyone knew if MSI was working on better support for DTR and mobile Cpu's with it's next bios revision?
It's neat that I can get my CPU to run 1.5v and 10x multi through clockgen, but It'd be really nice if I could just set it and forget it in bios...

I realy hope so, as i can only run it at proper mutlipliers with 1 memory stick in slot 1, not sure if this is because of the corsair memory, or the boards support for dtr's (i think it is the later).

  • Does Satellite A200 support T8300 penryn CPU?

    Hi,
does any one know if my Toshiba A200 psae6 with T5450 processor will support penryn T8300 ?
I want to upgrade my processor.

    Hi
Not quite sure if the BIOS would support the new CPU.
But first of all the chipset has to support a new CPU.
If chipset would not support the T8300 then you cannot use this.
But even if the chipset would support new CPU, there is a risk of overheating because the faster CPUs produce more heat dissipation which would lead to higher temperature and this can affect the notebook functionality.

  • PSE 8 install question for Mac PowerBook G4, "Does not support PowerPC architecture CPU..."

I am getting the following message during attempted install of Photoshop Elements 8 for my Mac PowerBook G4 (OS 10.4.11):
"This product does not support PowerPC architecture CPU. Please upgrade or adjust your system to meet these requirements."
I double-checked system requirements listed online before purchasing software, and also checked requirements listed on outside of box before opening it. All looked fine,
Searching Adobe help has turned up nada, any thoughts out there?
    Thanks in advance,
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
I guess you must have missed something or misinterpreted something. Please check the requirements mentioned on the web page: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs/
which clearly says that it needs an  Intel® processor which means an iMac machine, Mac PPC are not supported in PSE 8 anymore.

  • Does Cisco Prime Infrastructure supports monitoring CPU,Memory, HDD for UCS , VMWare?

Does Cisco Prime Infrastructure supports monitoring CPU,Memory, HDD for UCS , VMWare?

Prime Infrastructure/ Assurance is  positioned today more towards managing network elements and network performance,  rather than server infrastructure. We are in the process of adding Datacenter  component support, with more focus on Nexus and UCS- due later this  year.
Having said that, Prime Infrastructure allows the system user to  add custom SNMP polling templates, which can then be used for polling any SNMP  based values from any SNMP enabled device. These can be used to collect the  information you specified below and the polled information will be available in  dashboards and reports.

    >Does the X300-13O support quad and is it at all possible to upgrade the CPU?
This depends on the chipset and BIOS.
The notebook supports the Mobile Intel(R) PM45 Express Chipset.
    Check this Intel page:
    http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/chipsets/pm45/pm45-overview.htm
Here you can see that only *Intel Core2 Duo* processor is supported

  • Updating the Z68A-GD80 (B3) bios to use ivybridge cpu

    Hi,
I bought the Z68A-GD80 (B3) board without realising that the ivybridge cpu's were only around the corner.  Anyway I thought there would be a large price gap between the sandybridge and ivybridge cpu prices, how wrong could you be.
I haven't built the rig yet as I was waiting for a bios update to accommodate the jump to an ivybridge cpu and to make sure the board could support a ivybridge i5 3570K cpu model.
As there is only a 10 to 18 pound gap between the two cpu models is there any reason not to go for the ivybridge version?  Also does the updated bios work properly?
    Many thanks.....John

    Quote
Bernard, Froggy and flobelex, much appreciated.  Can I ask if your answers remain the same in concern the G3 board as they did for the B3?
My reply would still be similar to Reply #2. Since you do have a 'G3', one benefit would be the ability to run a PCI-E 3.0 graphics card to it's full potential. Even PCI-E 3.0 is not all that superior in performance to earlier PCI-E 2.0 revisions. I have both, a GD80(G3) with a Sandy CPU and Ivy BIOS, and one with an Ivy. Rather than go into all the details, they both suck as far as I am concerned, with the Ivy CPU rig being the worse! The Ivy UEFI/BIOS's IMO are not ready for prime time. Even with two PCI-E 3.0 GTX680 cards in SLI, my eyes don't see any real world visual benefit over them running at PCI-E 2.0 on the other mainboard.
Soon as an ironclad user level procedure is developed that I can restore both primary and secondary chips back to Sandy BIOS's and ME7, I will do so. The Ivy CPU will be sold off. Performance wise, the 2700k is a kickbutt CPU compared to an Ivy on a 6 series chipset mainboard!

    I'm thinking of Upgrading my i3 2120 to a i5 3470 (Sandy-Bridge to Ivy-Bridge)
I know my motherboard supports it, but will I need a BIOS Update
I can not find a BIOS update ANYWHERE.
    Thanks.
Also, Bios Version is: AMI 7.11 28/04/2012
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

You don't need a BIOS update.
When it is stated that a CPU is supported in the motherboard specifications document it means that BIOS support is already present.

  • Adobe After Effects CS4 doesn't support PowerPC architecture CPU

As installation of CS4 Master Collection, I notice that there are some applications missing. After Effects as well as a bunch of other applications have the warning "This product does not support PowerPC architecture CPU". This is not good since its really the only piece of software I need.
Here are the specs on my computer:
    processor 4 x 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5
    Memory 16 GB DDR2 SDRAM
    Mac OS X version 10.5.4
I spent quite a bit of money on this computer and putting memory into it. Is there nothing I can do? Some sort of inexpensive component I can change or add in order for After Effects to work? Thanks.

Just kind of crummy that since it comes in a bundle, as an option, that the bundle itself doesn't carry some kind of warning or wording about System Requirements.
Well the CS3 Production Premium box does have a warning, so I would presume that the CS4 box does as well. CS3's box says "System Requirements: Multicore Intel processor (Adobe Photoshop Extended, Illustrator, Flash Professional, and After Effects Professional are universal binary and also work on a PowerPC G4 or G5 processor)." So, right there you can tell that Premiere, Soundbooth and Encore don't run on PowerPC in CS3.
I can imagine this happening to other G5 and earlier users.
Why is that? G5 PowerPC code runs on any G5 - so unless you're going to limit it based on CPU clock speed, the earliest G5s wouldn't be giving up anything to the newer ones except for overall speed, obviously.
Doubt it will be in the next upgrade.
I'd agree. At that point, even the newest G5s will be about 5 years old, and it's clear that Adobe is moving towards Intel only support rather quickly.
I wonder if Adobe is allowing customers to pick and choose what versions are in a bundle for the same discount. Swapping new for old, maybe.
Won't happen. Adobe's upgrade policies aren't very generous. Not only are the costs rather steep, but if you're upgrading from the standalone versions to the suite, your upgrade price is based on you owning one of the apps that's part of the suite in the new version. You get no extra credit even if you have all of the suite's apps as standalone versions (e.g. if you have AE, Illustrator, PS, and Flash, it's the same upgrade price as it is if you only owned PS).
