Does ERM has a database of itself?

hi all,
when a role is created through ERM, and after completion of Role Generation stage, it gets created on back-end. So, is there a separate database of ERM, where role is created/generated First and then copied/created on Back-end?
if role is directly created ONLY on back-end at run-time, what is the use of the background job Role/Mass Generation on ERM.

ERM has its own database. For ERM SP13, at the time of authorization definition (2nd stage) role is already created/replicated at the backend.
You can search within Access Control database in order to look for ERM tables. Look for the following pattern RE

I have developed an application that uses a database. Currently I deployed this on Websphere that has Cloudscape embedded database.
Now we are trying to deploy it on Weblogic. I want to know that does Weblogic provide any embedded database out-of-the-box. I know it comes with PointBase eval version to demonstrate its samples. But can we use/ship this eval version database for commercial product?

Does XI has a DB ?

Hi.Good Morning. Does XI has a DataBase ? Suppose if a File is sent from the Source system, but the Target system is not ready to accept the File and the process is a failure. Then what will happen to the Original File ? Will that be stored in XI so that it can be sent later ? Second Scenario. Or just half the records were successfully sent from a file. How to send the remaining records with out duplicating the records ? How to execute or run a Scenario automatically which was a failure earlier ?

1. Yes XI has it own database and yes if the process is a failure you can resend the file from the Runtime Workbench (http://<server>:<port>/rwb -> Message Monitoring).
2. XI can save the orignal file in an archive folder if you want (configure it in the sender file adapter).
3. Re-send only the part of the failure record is not possible. But you can use the temporary mode configuration in your receiver adapter. This create a tmp file and when all data are write XI release it.
4. I am not sure it was a good idea to re-execute automatically a failure scenario. I think it's better to use the automotically resend function of the adapter. You can configure it in the Runtime Workbench -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Communication Channel Monitoring.

Does EXPDP has any performance effect on the database ?

We are planning to run export dump expdp (11g r2) on standard edition database every hour. Full =y . It might run for about 15 minutes.
Does it has any performance effect ?
Will it slow down the database operations ?
Will users who are using the database will see any performance issues?

After activating the Index from SE11,
I receive the following Warning:
Index does not exist in database system MSSQL.
What does this mean? Has performance been increased or does the index 1st have to exist in the database system MSSQL?

When you create index at SE11 and you need activate database utility.
utilitities-database utility->then click activate and adjust database.
else you can use SE14 and so that Index will create databse level.

EMC Does Not Show All Databases Copies Information on DAG - Exchange 2010 SP2

Really need your help here, suddenly my customer complain that they cant see any information on database copies on their Active Copy DAG Exchange server, for another DAG members, the database copies information is visible. After do some readings, I found
this related to Exchange 2010 SP1 known issue.

But, for my environment, there is Exchange 2010 SP2. I have no idea on this issue since there is no error log thrown out from the event viewer. I already try to restart the server itself and the Microsoft Information services but no luck.

Based on the description, your customers could see passive database copy information, but they couldn’t view the detail information such as state: Healthy in EMC.
When did this issue begin?
Please restart the AD topology service to check result.
Since we have the information correctly on Exchange shell, please try to clear EMC cache and then open console to check if you can see database copy in EMC.

What does JDBC has to do with Jdeveloper ?

I have to demonstrate the use of JDBC for my presentation in the next few days and I have to use Jdeveloper for the presentation. Unfortunately, I'm still confuse about what is the relationship between JDBC and Jdeveloper? What part of Jdeveloper that I should use for the demonstration.
Right now, I basically understand pretty much how JDBC and Jdeveloper work seperately but I still don't know how can I integrate those two together.
Please give me some ideas because I really need serious help here!!!!

JDeveloper is a graphical Java application. JDBC is an API that documents a standard framework for dealing with tabular and relational data. So "what does JDBC has to do with Jdeveloper ?" - Nothing.

Does Oracle has features like Profiler in MS SQL

Since I'm new to Oracle I would like to know from you guys does Oracle has the feature like that of Profiler like present in MS SQL. Since I need those services for my work so really like to know about it. I tried to find out that feature but couldn't. So please share your knowledge about it .

As someone who has actually used SQL Profiler I will add a few comments.
There are two Oracle features that may be of interest when trying to duplicate SQL Profiler information.
Niall mentioned the Oracle trace facility. Oracle is heavily instrumented and the internal measurements for how long individual operations executed and/or waited are available via the trace facility. It can be turned on by a session (several methods available) and it is also possible to turn trace on externally for an already running session.
An experienced DBA may choose to work with the raw trace file but Oracle provides a utility trkprof which will format the trace file collecting the execution information (number of physical IO, Logical IO, and rows returned) by SQL statement.
This kind of trace files are primary used for tuning purposes. Trace files can also be used to capture bug information via setting database events,
You can find information on SQL trace in the Performance and tuning manual.
Another feature that may be of interest is the Log Miner feature. This feature allows you to see the SQL in the online or archived redo logs. It is possible to generate SQL to back out changes that were applied.
This reminds me of another feature that will allow you to see "recent" activity: flash back query. For as long as the information is retained in the undo segments it is possible to query all activity against a row or set of rows in a table.
Again each of these features is documented in the standard documentation.

Itunes (11.1.4) has suddenly started turning itself on and off. Whats going on?

iTunes has suddenly started turning itself on and off on my iMac (OS 10.9.1). Happens with streaming radio and with music on my own playlists. When it kept stopping during streaming radio, I tried a playlist and this kept freezing (going off) as well. So I turned iTunes off but did not close the application. Now it keeps turning itself on, playing fragments. What is going on?

Doing a bonjour repair using "uninstall program" on windows 7 resolved this for me, the AirPlay icon came back in iTunes and Home sharing showed up on my Apple Tv 3 again. :-)

When a report is executing it is going to short dump by saying 'Table does not exist in database'. As per the short dump analysis this issue is happening because of the following   Native SQL statement statement :

As per the customer this issue occurring since they migrated the SAP back-end data base from Oralce to DB6. Here I felt that ZLICENSE_R2 is not migrated from the Oracle to DB6. But as per the BASIS Team, even this table was not maintained in Oracle also. If the table was not maintained in the Oracle, this issue should have been there even before migration also.
Following is the short dump details:
Short text
    Table does not exist in database.
What happened?
    The table or view name used does not
    exist in the database.
    The error occurred in the current database connection "DEFAULT".
What can you do?
    Check the spelling of the table names in your report.
    Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
    To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
    Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
    at and manage termination messages, and you can also
    keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR', was not
     caught in
   procedure "DYN_LIC_SEL_TOT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
Triggering SQL statement: "select single_plate, itm_num, ctry_code, model_lot,
lic_hold_flg, qty from ZLICENSE_R2 where itm_num = ? and model_lot = ? "
Database error code: "-204"
Could you please let me know what might be the reason for this issue.

Transaction SE11, input ZLICENSE_R2 for table name, and display the table. Did the table display? If not, that is the main problem.
If the table displays, go to menu item Utilities -> Database Object -> Database Utility
In the resulting screen, under the "Status" fields, you should see text "Exists in the database." If you don't, then the table exists in the dictionary, but doesn't exist in the database system. Click the "Create database table" button and then you should be able to run the program.
You may need basis team's help to carryout some of these actions.

Does your external hard drive have it's own power supply? It should.
Is your external hard drive formatted with the NTFS file system? It won't work.
It needs to be formatted either with Mac OS Extended or FAT32.
(There are drivers available to add NTFS support to OS X but their quality is unknown, especially the "free" ones.)

iPhone 5S: does anybody has this problem. During a successful voice call all of a sudden people can't hear me while I can hear them. Signal is strong and call quality (me hearing the other) is still very good but it looks as if I’m going on mute while I’m not muting my iPhone. When dropping the call and re-dialing it works fine again. It’s a brand new iPhone 5S but it now happened already 4 or 5 times in 2 days.
It feels like a hardware/iOS problem and not a network issue. It happend with iOS7.03 but I just see 7.0.4 is available so will install that one now.

16bit? Pixels extending beyond the canvas? (from a crop with delete unused pixels turn off). Have you previously been saving PSD files?
IME you sometimes have to tell Photoshop that the first save of a session is JPG, and it remembers from there on. The way to 'tell' Photoshop that JPG, or PDF, or PNG etc are now your preferred format is to Ctrl (Cmd) click on that format in the Save As drop down list. So long as the file does not have parameters that your chosen format does not support, then this should work for you.
[EDIT] Just noticed that you did include 'Crop' in the subject line. Do you have 'Delete cropped pixels' checked?
