Does Find My Friends notify friend when you set up a geofence alert on them?

If I selected to be notified when my friend leaves a location, do they also recieve any sort of notification or push that I set up the alert on them? Or when they leave the location?

Your questions are asking whether the person being located is being NOTIFIED. The answer depends on your definition what a notification is, but the short answer is NO.
The device being located does not display any notifications: banner, alert, badge or otherwise.
The device does not receive a text or iMessage alert.
When an app is using Location Services, a solid location services icon is diplayed next to the time at the top. This includes Find My Friends' attempts to provide the device's location to the service.

*Solid location services icon is the small arrow icon. This is different from the outline of the arrow meaning an app will be triggered when a location or 'geofence' is entered or exited.

What does the "Clean Up Selection" option when you right click icons do?

The title of the thread explains my question. Haven't found anything on it in the threads or in Mac Help. Thanks!

When you have one item selected, it does nothing of value.
However, when you have multiple items selected it reorganizes the items so that they're evenly spaced, not overlapping, etc.
Of course, if the icons are already neatly arranged you still won't see any difference, but try moving a few things around (or overlapping icons) then try again.

I don't see why not, I'm pretty sure the N97 uses the lights on the Dual LED flash for video - so I'm pretty sure the N900 would just use those. To not make use of them would be kinda stupid..

Does AOL get your password when you set up video chat in Messages?

When you set up video chat in Messages you can use your iCloud email address/Apple ID if you select AIM as the chat service. To complete the set up it asks you to enter your iCloud/Apple ID password. By doing so, does AOL/AIM get to know your iCloud password?

In Messages > Preferences > Accounts you can use the + button lower left under the list of account and Add the same Apple ID as an AIM account as you used for the iMessages account.
AS part of the workings of iChat 6 and Messages the app also logs in to an Apple Server as well as the AIM Server.
The dual Login is so AIM cannot 'read' the password unless you have an iCloud Issued @me.com or @iCloud.com ID logged into the Apple Server as well.
This is a Pop up from Little Snitch checking if I will allow this Login to Apple.
@mac.com names from Apple, issued under the .Mac service and Paid for Accounts or as Trial Accounts or later during MobileMe as "iChat Names" are unaffected.
As you cannot recreate the Dual Login process here you cannot use iCloud issued IDs on this AIM Page.
This does mean some Privacy settings are unavailable to you.
It also means if AIM "Suspend your account" (normally for "Unusual Activity") then changing your Password at Apple has no effect as they can't tell you have changed it.

This has to do with the Time Zone Support selected in your phone. If you check in Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars, there is a setting for Time Zone Support at the bottom of the page under Calendars. If that is turned to off, the calendar should support the local time. Because time is set to Automatic (since you say the time is correct on the iPhone), it is reflecting the local time. That information comes from the carrier, not the iPhone itself. You can check, however the iPhone says that if you turn off the Time Zone support, it should reflect in the local time. Do a test, if possible, and see if that will do what you are asking.

What exactly are you trying to do?
Turn off Bluetooth?
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and tap the bluetooth icon (White is on, Back is off)

First part of the question I don't understand, so could you elaborate please?
Second part: bus output is used for submixes, for example, let's say you want the same EQ to be applied to all guitars in the song, so instead of using same EQ plug-in on all guitar tracks, you feed the output from these tracks to a bus track and use the effect just once on this bus submix.

I hate that verizon takes your deals they offer you when you either upgrade your phone or you change your plan that's sucks!!!!!!! My contract is up in dec. of this year and after being a loyal customer with them for 15 plus years Im out of here!!!!!!!!!! they took my $20.00 a month internet fee and rasie it to 30.00 they offered me that just so I would sign up now they are getting getting more money from already very empty pockets then took it from me when I upgraded my phone thats not right I should be grandfathered when I upgraded because they offered it to me then my 20.00 fee for unlimited texting was taken from me cause I changed my plan and they rasied the plan so I lost that too what the ____ they dont take enough money from us as it is come on!!!!!!!!!!! And I cant cancell there service because then Im billed 250.00 for cancelling with them so either way they suck the money out of us. Mail doesn't show a new mail icon when you set up rules

I've just transfered over to Mail from entourage and love it, apart from one thing.
I set up rules so all my emails go into folders ie work, friends and now when I get a new email which goes into one of these folders I don't get the little red circle on the mail application icon in my dock.
I do however get it when a mail comes in which isn't part of my rules and goes into my inbox, normally someone who I'm not waiting for an email.
It's not the end of the world but does mean if I forget to check my emails I might miss something important.
Any ideas?

I'm now able to see when i've got new emails after your pointer. It is however telling me I have 10 new mails which aren't there?
Do you know why it would do this, I thought perhaps it was thinking a draft was an email but i've only got 3 in there not 10.

How do you keep the colors of an image true when you set it as a background?

I have an image with lines in it and a black blackground. When I set it as a background :

the black is a couple shades lighter so when I place a <div> with an <img>that is also mainly black on top of it, the top image is much darker than the background. I have no other css tags on the div other than a margin. The only difference in the images is I saved the background from photoshop and the image in the div from illustrator but I dont think that should have effected anything. Does anybody know anything about this because I am seriously stumped.

We have been here before…
Firstly, Adobe' Photoshop has the ability to save a color profile with an image. That color profile will be consistent across all versions of Adobe software. Problem is, Adobe does not make web browsers (and that is probably a good thing).
When you save images for websites, you need to go through the proper Photoshop or Illustrator dialog. You want to Save for Web & Other Devices. Why? because the applications will take the image out of CMYK color space (if it is in that color space) and make it RGB. They will also try to translate the colors in a sensible way. When you use this dialog, you will see various options for JPG, including ICC Profile. Turning this on or off will change how the colors get mapped, and some experimentation to get best results is a good idea.
I have it turned off, presently.
The image will be set up for 72 dots per inch automatically, and you can, then, resize the image to optimize it for the website you are working on. If you are trying to fill a hole for an image that is 350 pixels wide by 250 tall, don't save the image as 1125 wide by 1024 high. That will take a long time to download from your server to whatever device is displaying it. Your original image will not be changed and you can navigate your path to your defined website's images folder.
This should help you immeasurably. I should mention that If I am trying to match a background exactly, I will tend to knock out that color from the image, save the image as a .PNG file with transparency (where that particular color is) and place the image on the background in question with the background color I am trying to match on the website.

I have been doing some more experimenting. I leave Privacy set at Custom Settings/Private Browsing Mode. When I know a site demands cookies I check "Accept cookies", but leave "Accept third-party cookies" unchecked. In the past at the end of a session when I've gone to "Show cookies" all cookies have been there - for example Facebook's. But recently that list is always empty. I've now checked to see what happens when I also check "Accept third-party cookies" Now things like the Facebook cookie are there when I click "Show cookies". So something seems to have changed. Now cookies only show when I also check "Accept third-party...". I'm just wondering if they are actually there but not visible when only "Accept cookies" is checked? Seems they must be, as I know Facebook will not connect without the ability to store a cookie.

Is it normal when you closed your _ipod touch 2nd generation_ and your theme song is gone? What I mean is that when I listened to this certain song and I closed the ipod and I opened the ipod up again, and go to "music" to listen to the song that I just listen, the "Now Playing" page is not coming up no more. Instead, the whole music's page come up. I'm just wondering if this is normal for the ipod touch? Or there is something wrong with mine? If it not normal for the ipod touch to be this way, anybody know how to fix it? Your help would be really appreciated.

yes, this is normal behaviour - at least for the 1st Gen, and i can't see any logical idea why it wouldn't - (presumably as when you turn your ipod off, it thinks you are finished with it.) BUT if you just put your ipod into sleep mode, it will remember the song (you will have to pause it, otherwise it will continue playing)
