Why does this site have online chat when you can never actually chat - always "not available"? I was trying to get a simple question answered without calling and being on hold for 10 minutes?

Why does this logo have jagged edges?
I'm working on a new logo and before I get too far along I need to resolve this issue; why does this shape have jagged edges when posted on the web?
you can see it on-line auctionontario.ca
Thxauctioneer,
Obviously, you are using the transparency available for the GIF format.
In addition, you should tick the Anti-Aliasing which is, unfortunately, hidden away like a hidden feature in the Image Size window within Save for Web. -
i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it.
I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I have only managed to copy over some of my music as i had it on an external drive.
I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes.
HELPiTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder. Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure. In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"? The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone? The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced. You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

Recently purchased an SRS-X3, primarily for use as a speaker phone. When linked with my cell phone and using Pandora, the sound is great. But, if I try to use it as a speaker phone, the sound breaks into intermittent bits that sound like regular intervals of sound and silence and makes the conversation coming in unintelligible. The sound going out to the other person on the phone does not seem to have this limitation (although I can't say this for sure, because it's hard to conduct this test when you can't hear a darn thing coming in.)
Any suggestions? I can't find anything in the experience base that refers to this phenomenon. The Vine video has video/mp4, so MP4 support needs to be present and working on your computer to make this work.<br />
I needed to bring up the controls via the right-click context menu (Show Controls) and adjust the volume as the volume appeared to be set to zero to get sound.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Does the mousepad have scrolling function when you swipe up and down on the side?
I am curious to know if the mousepad has a scrolling feature (swipe up and down on the right side) would scroll webpage.
I come from Sony laptop and their mousepad has this feature which is convenient rather than using page up and down to scroll webpage.
thanks. It does not have a scrolling function on the side of the touchpad, but it does have multitouch capabilities so you can push two fingers down, start the scroll, and I recently discovered that you can take one finger off and move the one that is still on to the top (or bottom) of the touchpad and it will continue the scroll so it does not scroll a bit, stop, and make you scroll again. A nifty little feature, in my opinion.
Of course, I am fairly sure all Yogas come with a touchscreen, which is really nice for scrolling as well. -
Why does this site hang up?
Can someone tell me why the following site gets hung up and
doesn't finish loading? I know it has something to do with the CSS
files but I'm not sure why it does it. What am I doing wrong?

It finishes loading just fine for me in Firefox, but not
everything loaded.
In IE, it keeps loading. If I disable javascript, it stops.
So, it appears
to be related to a javscript you have running on the page.
-Darrel
That's really odd because if you look at the page below I
have that same script and IE loads and stops just fine. However,
the one below doesn't use CSS like the first example I gave.

Why does this site render like cr4p on the iphone?
just browsing to this site from the iphone, the whole thing renders in a font which is unreadable
Why can't apple detect that I am using Safari on the iPhone and give me a more usable mobile version?
Thanks!Don't bother... I rarely access this site from my iPhone.

Yeah, why?
Hi Ethan,
This is a user to user forum, so there is nothing we can do to respond to your post. However, you can send feedback to Apple: Apple - Feedback and you can complete the Apple Retail Store survey: Apple Retail Store - Feedback
If you are now experiencing a "grinding noise" when you start up the Mac, then take it back to the store. Also, if you want to reproduce the original problem, then play a game at home until it occurs, then take it to the Store (don't turn it off - just close the lid). Beyond doing a diagnostics test, there is very little else they can do if you are having a problem that you cannot reproduce when they are looking at the machine. Sort of like one of those annoying squeaks or groans in car. If you cannot reproduce it at the dealer, they can't fix it....Not sure what else you would expect them to do if they have no way to see the problem occurring, and the tests come back fine....
Cheers,

I tried to listen to my music from my headphones and when I plugged the headphones into the jack, and pressed play, the music came out through the speakers. I don't know why that happened but I've never been able to get sound through my headphones.

Why does verizon take your deals away when you upgrade?
I hate that verizon takes your deals they offer you when you either upgrade your phone or you change your plan that's sucks!!!!!!! My contract is up in dec. of this year and after being a loyal customer with them for 15 plus years Im out of here!!!!!!!!!! they took my $20.00 a month internet fee and rasie it to 30.00 they offered me that just so I would sign up now they are getting getting more money from already very empty pockets then took it from me when I upgraded my phone thats not right I should be grandfathered when I upgraded because they offered it to me then my 20.00 fee for unlimited texting was taken from me cause I changed my plan and they rasied the plan so I lost that too what the ____ they dont take enough money from us as it is come on!!!!!!!!!!! And I cant cancell there service because then Im billed 250.00 for cancelling with them so either way they suck the money out of us. So goodbye verizon hello boost or at&t or who ever anything will be better then Verizon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is not Apple you are talking to. Just fellow iPod Touch users.

How do you video chat when you can't attach an iSight?
Just curious. I was thinking of getting one a bit later and I do video chat a lot. How do you video chat when they don't produce the iSight anymore? Last I checked the displays don't have a built in iSight.
I use an iSight hanging upside down from one of the metal brackets that hold my shelf in place. I then use a program called iGlasses to rotate the image so the output is the correct side up. But if you can't get a hold of an iSight, there are plenty of other USB webcams out there that are compatible with Mac, and may or may not have solutions to attaching to monitors. I may have to buy one as my iSight no longer picks up sounds (dead microphone).

Why does ADOBE use the Download manager when you download from thier website??
it always seems to cause problems. Are they not aware of that?
I know people will say to download elsewhere, but I think the average user is going to try to get it directly off the website
Then if you go to
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
How the heck do you know which one to use? Like I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit with Vista SP2 and use only IE7 browser
so is it the msi??? or the exe??? I mean why can't they just make it easier??Do these links to he flash player that bypass the Download manager, give the correct, secure, and most importantly full version of the Flash player?
and how does it appear when it downloads? Just that flash pop up that asks if you agree to terms, then the install button?
I may be going more this way, rather than the "normal" way. I always delete the download manager after I install the flash player anyway -
Why is this netstat script so slow when you have multiple ports?
Hello, I need thoughts on optimizing a script. It is very slow as it iterates through the array. My goal was to scan a list of pcs but it takes several minutes to scan one pc. It pauses several seconds between each check. I'm hoping its scanning just my
array. I modified a function to support an array instead of a single port check. My goal is to have a function in my main script that looks at a pc, looks for common ports and counts how many connections are on that port. Any advice for speeding this up?
