I love flash I couldn't say enough good stuff about it but I
was noticing that if you have words in flash well reading programs
won't be able to read it most likely. I want to know how flash
conforms to WAI and if there is any special coding we need to do to
make sure it does.

How do I change the URL to the Remote Web Access server in Windows Server 2012?

Hallo!
I have set up a Remote Dexktop Service using the "Quick" deployment method in Server Manager and everything is working greate internally, but I cannot start an app published in Remote Web Access from outside our network.
The problem is that it wants to start the using the internal URL, for example, server.domain.local, instead of the external one, for example remote.server.com.
I therefore want to know how I can change the default URL for the Remote Web Access server and all the Remote Web Apps in Windows Server 2012?
I have allready looked in Server Manager and I can change some of the deployment settings in server manager, but there is no way to alter the URL of the Remote Web Access server. See below images:
Pressing the internal URL only results in opening the internal URL.
This was very simple to do in Windows Server 2008 R2 using the tsconfig tool, but it does not seam to be any way of solving this in server manager.
A possible sollution would be to alter the registry someware in HKLM->Software->Microsoft->Windows NT->Terminal Services. But this can easaly lead to problems due to wrong format, etc. and is probably not supported.
Is there a simpler and supported way?

That option can be used to connect to any machine that you want. The error message indicates that the client machine cannot resolve the name "server.domain.local" to an IP address that it can connect to.
You have several options for configuring that tab on the RDweb site. You can even remove it entirely.
Customization of RD Web Site
RD Web provides a number of customization options for the RD Web interface, including the ability to control default Gateway server settings and redirection settings. These settings
are controlled by editing the web.config file located in %SYSTEMROOT%\Web\RDWeb\Pages.
Displaying Local Help
To display local help for users instead of the web-based help, edit the LocalHelp value and change the value from false to true.

When this value is changed, a user that clicks on Help in the upper right corner of the RD Web login page will open the local help file instead of web-based help.
Hiding the Connect to a Remote PC Tab

OWA configuration is very tricky...I know that I was never able to configure mine via my device interface to BIS. Only by using a PC/browser to my carriers BIS site was I successful. Here is the list of carrier BIS sites:

Thought I'd better start a new thread on this, as my previous

Does the free Flash Player download only provide Flash
capability within the web browser? Or can it play local SWFs? If

Map a drive to the Remote Web Access - Shared Folders

All companies love Remote Web Access. No need for VPN for access to remote desktop and the "private skydrive" Shared Folders.
Is there anyway to map a drive to these "private skydrive" Shared Folders? you can map a drive to the real skydrive and to Sharepoint so surely it is possible?

The trick that I found was to upgrade my file server to server 2012 R2 and configure iSCSI Target for the resource I wanted to access by RWA. On my RWA Server I then used the iSCSI initiator to connect to that Target. This makes the shared drive appear
as if it is a native drive on the RWA server. Once this was done I configured that drive, or a folder within that drive for access with RWA. It has worked perfectly ever since.

Support for WAI - Web Accessibility Initiative

I'm answering an RFQ with a requirement about WAI. My questions are:
a) Is any particular support for WAI planned?
b) Would it be OK to say that Portal supports building Web sites in accordance with the WAI guidelines?

Thanks for bringing up this very important point!
As far as I can tell this type of support is very limited. The HTML generated
by Portal is not great (just try running HTML Tidy over one of these pages:-).
The big bugger is not being able to set the "summary" attribute for tables and
well Portal uses a lot of tables (page regions, portlets, folder regions).
Ideally I would like to be able set this for portlets via the "edit defaults" link
during page creation. This requires the various portlet authors to help us out
a bit. Getting the authors of the "Folder" and "Navigation Bar" portlets to do
this would be a priority for me. They would also need to provide support for
any internal tables that get generated e.g. folder regions. This is probably
non-trivial---just think of all the tables that pop up when you click on the
"edit folder" link:-)
We would also need a fix for page regions which is probably the responsibilty
of a completly different set of authors.
This all looks like a lot of work so I'm not holding my breath for a quick patch.
Hopefully these issues will be addressed before Portal 3.1 comes out.

Is it possible to clean up the http-web-access.log?

The size of the file http-web-access.log has increase drastically and I've just started facing disk full problems on my Server. We have are using Oracle 10g. I was wondering if someone could give me any advice how I can cleanup this file.

Thank you for your reply. According to the defrag report it is an Oracle product - likely the OEM as we do use Enterprise Manager on a daily basis.

Does iOS 5 support the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) for interacting with text messages in Ford Sync?

I'd sure love to take advantage of Ford Sync's ability to read aloud and let me interact with bluetooth text messages by voice. I had heard rumours that iOS 5 was going to support the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) like other phone manufacturers, but in my latest update I received while testing and reading other non-Apple sites, that appears not to be the case.
Is this something I'd have to upgrade to the iPhone 4S to otherwise get?
It's not Siri I'm interested in, just this particular feature to allow the phone to interact with my vehicle. If there's a 3rd party app out there that helps I'm open to that idea too. Thinking about what my next smart phone's going to be with LTE, and this is weighing in on my decision, lots of enterprise users out there with Ford as their company fleet vehicle too (hint hint!). A nice way to save lives too for those who refuse to not read/reply to texts while driving (I'm not in that club, but many are).

Humbly requesting this is something that gets added to a future iOS update.

Advantages:
(1) Gives one less reason for Apple people to stray to Google
(2) Saves lives too for those who refuse to not read/reply to texts while driving
(3) Keeps drivers behaving legally (outside of common sense, many provinces and states have enacted laws to try and protect people against themselves)
(4) A critical enterprise feature if Apple is attempting to continue to break into that market, most fortune 500 companies that have employees using fleet vehicles use Ford, but frankly other manufacturers coming to market with these features too.

I can't print from firefox. The paper feeds throught the printer but does not print. The same web pages will print when I use internet explorer. And the printer works fine with word, excell etc, just not with firefox.

Whenever I try to print any page opened in firefox it will not print. The paper feeds through the computer, but does not pring.

To connect the Current User Filter with the Excel Web Access

I have uploaded an excel sheet which has data in Pivot table format into SharePoint site and then by using the current user filter I am trying to connect the filter (sharepoint profile user property) to a parameter in the excel sheet. I have defined one
of the pivot filter as the parameter. But all this, raises an error as below
"Unable to set one or more parameters. An error occurred while attempting to set one or more parameters in this workbook. As a result, none of the parameters has been set. Click OK to return to the workbook."

I had referred this link but the example provided is related linking dashboard filters with the pivot table filter and i require to connect a current user filter.
The current user filter does not have any properties similar to what the dashboard filter have and we are not looking at using dashboard for our requirement.

Disabling the RD web access page

Hello
We have an RDS 2012 server that is now being connected to via VmWare Horizon 6. We no longer require the RD WebAccess page. Is there a way to disable this page? It is still accessible internally.

I just went into IIS and disabled the site from in there and it is no longer accessible.

The backgtround I put in my template does not follow into the actual web page.

I have followed all the steps to make a template and then pages from the template. Everything follows except the background. What could cause this? I am working in cs4.

I have written down the steps properly using some images also for my future reference in a M.S. Word document.
